Hi. Just linked my new Beam to existing sub and play:1s and get great sound from the TV via the Sonos surround sound set up. I also want to link my blu ray player and freesat top box to my Tv and listen to them via my Sonos speakers but only have 1 hdmi cable into the Tv so thought I could use an hdmi splitter to switch between sources. Am I correct and if so what features of a splitter do I need to look for. Thanks

Recently updated my Mac to Ventura and it will not AirPlay to any of my Sonos speakers. It sees them, shows as connected but zero audio. I thought it may relate to HomeKit so added all speakers in there. They show up but with a banner saying something like ‘This device is not compatible’.Under previous OS I had no problems whatsoever. Should add that AirPlay from my iPhone & iPad works perfectly to all speakers & rooms. Issue seems to be 100% with the Ventura OS. Any thoughts?

I’ve been trying to set my lg c2 and my Sonos beam 2 to get Dolby atmos but all I had was Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0.I realize that some have problems with it but they solve it by changing by changing the options below. Note: I’m using Apple Music (Dolby atmos works fine when using through the Sonos app but isn’t on LG anyone else have the same problem?  

Roam battery drains even with device off! is that normal?

Hi - that’s the problem.  Listening to roam and it/they go to zero volume randomly.  Makes them unusable.Controlling using iOS, sometimes through Sonos app, sometimes using another app (Apple Music, Spotify, etc). Happens on BT and on networked system.  So the problem is constant across all connectivity and across apps. Any help appreciated!

Having had the Sonos addiction for many years, I am now fortunate to have multiple Sonos players in various rooms. When I select a group like ‘kitchen’ is there an easy way of synching the volume to all the players in that group? Currently I have around 6 players in total in the kitchen and depending on who used them last, i have to manually sync the volume using the individual sliders for each player.  would be helpful if there is a ‘sync all’ type thing but I can’t see anything obvious.

Am planning on wiring 2 sets of Sonance in-ceiling speakers (MAG8R) to a single Sonos Amp. In doing so, how much output / volume will be lost with powering both sets of speakers at the same time?

Anyone have problems with system slow to respond, only has since latest update.

Hi thereI have SONOS set up in our main home with access to Apple Music and Amazon Prime Music.I understand that in the network in our holiday home, I need a different account. However, if that 2nd account is with a different email address, I am unable to connect the Apple and Amazon streaming services since they are linked to my main account.Would anyone have any ideas on how to work this out? Thanks!

With the 12v trigger output from the Sonos Port there must be a way to convert this signal to IR and turn on the AV receiver?This would save having to turn it on via the remote My Denon hasn’t got a 12v trigger input unfortunately   

Our internet was down for several hours and for some reason, when it came back up, our Sonos equipment did not.We have an Arc with a pair of surrounds (Play 1)When trying to get the system up and running again, somehow 2 of the same room was created. The rooms appear in Settings > Systems as follows: Family Room Sonos (?+?)Arc SL Family Room Sonos (L+R)Play:1 When I open either of the rooms, they both show the same equipment: Arc SL, Play:1 (Right) and Play:1 (left) and they are all connected to the same WiFi network.If I try to rename one of the rooms, it renames them both so somehow they are linked.If I turn on my tv, the sound only comes from the Arc (first listed Family Room)If I select the room via Spotify to play music, the sound comes from the Play speakers (second Family Room) How do I eliminate one of these rooms and get all three components to play together?

@Corry P Some Reddit users noticed that the Surround Audio TV Level setting doesn’t actually change the rear surround levels on the Era 300s. So I decided to test it for myself.When playing a Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 Test Tones video and a DTS 7.1 Sound Check video, the TV Level setting has no affect on the levels of the rear surround channels. It only changes the side surround levels.When playing a Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 Test Tones video, the TV Level setting has no affect on the levels of both surround channels. BUT when playing a DTS 5.1 Sound Check video, the TV Level setting DOES change the levels of the two surround channels.NOTE: The DTS audio is being played as Multichannel PCM from a Blu-ray player.Is this a bug in the software?

I am renovating a house and will have a family room with a surround sound setup ( Arc + 2 Era 300s + Subwoofer Gen 3).  The living room is separated from the family room by a thick wall. I was planning on using two era 300 speakers in the family room primarily for use as a stereo setup. I was wondering if I could place the Subwoofer in the wall separating the two rooms and depending on which room I was in, have the subwoofer provide the bass for either room.  If this would work I would place the subwoofer between studs and finish the wall by installing a grill with speaker cloth to hide the subwoofer.  Would this work?

For some reason my Sonos 1 has lost contact with my NAS.I also use Sonos 2 and it connects to the NAS without any problem (at least at the moment it does).I’m running Mac OS 13.5 on my MacBook Pro and OS 16.5.1 on my iPhone.I’m using a MyCloud NAS connected to my router.I’ve tried re-entering the path for my NAS (//MyCloud-0S3D6K/Public/music) to no avail.Any suggestions???Thanks

Am new to Sonos and Sub Gen 3 is on its way. Am wondering if setting the crossover for the sub works the same as setting the crossover in a processor/preamp i.e. set to 80 Hz and no speaker will play lower than 80 Hz other than the sub.OR with Sonos, will only the sub play up to whatever frequency is set as the crossover and the rest of the speakers will play down to their Hz limits? i.e. sub set to 80 Hz and inceiling speakers can play to 40 Hz. Will inceiling speakers only play down to 80 Hz like in a traditional processor/preamp setting? Or will they play down to 40 Hz?

I am building my home theater system.Right now, I connect my pc to Sound Blaster GC7 through usb and connect GC7 to Sonos Beam Gen 2 through the Optical to HDMI converter comes with the beam.I set the Sound Blaster GC7 output to 7.1 surround, not virtual 7.1. Why in my app, the audio in still show Stereo PCM 2.0? Thank you

I have a new Sony TV and Sonos Arc, and I've noticed that when the Arc is plugged in, there is a significant additional delay between the TV remote and TV. It happens with changing the volume, as well as navigating Netflix and other streaming services. Is this normal and unavoidable, or is there any way around it?Could I remedy this situation if instead of the Sony TV’s Android TV, if I used an Apple TV or nVidia Shield?

I have tried everything that has been written about getting this update to work. I just received my new 2023 MacBook Pro and am attempting to use the Sonos controller on it. The OS Ventura 13.2 hasn't changed from my previous 2017 MacBook Pro. I have deleted the Sonos app, fully, and tried downloading and installing from the Sonos download area. The refuses to update or find my system. I have been in the Beta group so that my be adding to the issue. The Sonos apps work fine in iOS on iPhone 14, and 3rd Gen iPad Pro. So far, nothing seems to work on my MacBook Pro where all the music files are stored. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

How do I select to play through the wired speakers connected to an amp? My Sonos app can only play through my Sonos Roam wireless speaker

So I upgraded my old internet service to our community's new fiber network.So on the new 1Gig fiber, I've managed to get two speakers onto the network simultaneously. But the third? I can get it to connect and work when it's alone, but it will not appear/work with either one of the other two speakers. I wasn't trying to get all three to run simultaneously, not yet. The third will not appear with another speaker either wired or wireless.The bad news? All my playlists are on speaker #3. BUT: I downloaded Sonosaver (https://sonosaver.mrupp.ch/) and I stalled it and the Sonos app for Windows on my PC. The good news is that I exported the playlists from speaker #3 and successfully imported them to Speakers 1 and 2. So now I can run two speakers and have the playlists, too.But I want the third speaker to participate, too. Does anyone have insights about this?

I’ve recently changed broadband from sky to community broadband and I’m having difficulty connecting my speakers to the network,can anyone advise?
