My Review: My audio journey has spanned almost every configuration imaginable: basic 5.1 wired sets, LG soundbars, Sony AV receivers with Bose systems, and eventually the standard Sonos 5.1. I recently took the ultimate leap, upgrading via Sevenoaks to the full Sonos flagship setup: the Arc Ultra, two Era 300s, and a Sub Gen 3.Moving from a standard 5.1 to this 9.1.4 system has been a revelation. Please can Sonos deliver functionality to allow the same speakers to be configured differently for Music and TV playback.I have era 300’s and a Beam.I want to have a preset grouping for a stereo pair (era 300’s) for musicandA preset grouping for Surround era 300’s + Beam for tv. I thought I might be able to do this by creating to ‘rooms’.. Loung TV / Lounge Music…. but it will only allow the speakers to belong to one room grouping. This can’t be achieved currently and would be a massive positive. When I play music with all three speakers (even when in ‘full’ mode - it doesn’t sound anywhere as near as good as the two era’s as a stereo pair).

Building a basement out and I currently have a arc ultra , sub 4, and two 300s. Main question is the 300s. Not sure where I should plan to have them set up. Both options aren’t ideal I know just looking for advice in best option. Option 1: about 8ft behind couch, probably just over 2ft from ceiling and the left speaker will be pushing sound into an open space.  Option 2. Placing them any distance behind the couch and inverted in the ceiling. Ceiling will only be about 7-7½ ft. any ideas appreciated also where would best sub placement be?thank you so much. It’s an open space so can build outlets for them where ever but the layout is concrete so can’t really move walls or sofa much. 

I haven’t searched for the same topic in the huge issues db Sonos has collected over the years, I have other things to do. Already half of my Sunday gone (again) in fixing Sonos related issues. The only thing I want to do is listen to music. I’m really getting tired of this. Already tried resetting the app, didn’t help.Can somebody just get my system up and running again and then tell me how to stop permanently, hard-coded, until the end of time, dis-able updates!

Hi!I owned a Arc + 2xEra 300 + Sub gen 3 setup and it was overwhelming on cinematic performance and average on music - I was missing the middle lows in music performance (which are very present on the demo sounds of sonos, so it's likely a DSP thing not hardware).As Arc Ultra promised better bass due to the new sound force technology, I made the upgrade and... well... I am not satisfied at all. Everything sounds the exact same as before. I did trueplay tuning (tried all three variants), EQ setup etc etc.I get even a little better performance turning the sub off in the mid los but then the deep subs are missing of course.I don't get why my SONOS system is performing so bad on mid-lows but only on music... All is perfect on movies... If sonos would only give us more control over music EQ :( That being said, I was asked by ​@Corry P to create a diagnostic. I take care of elderly parents, and I love music in the kitchen. I purchased a pair of Era 100 speakers to get me moving while working in the kitchen.As you can see from the picture, my parents are clutter bugs, which leaves no sonically clean areas below the speakers and no real place to mount them other than fairly high on the wall. I think just to the left of the slide door opening, about the height of the opening is the best place to mount the Right speaker. The left would go roughly equal distance from the side wall, at the same height.The floor is hard, ceramic tile, and the ceiling opens for a skylight about 4’ in front of the wall. The counter where I took the picture is 8-10 feet from the wall.Normally, Sonos recommends mounting the Era 100 upright around eye height and inverted when higher. I suspect the speakers will sound better upright at about 6’ off the floor so sound can bounce off the ceiling rather than be absorbed by all the “stuff” along the wall.It is not my home,

I just bought a new sonos speaker the Era 100, i already had the Sonos One gen2, when i try to set an alarm from the app it immediately cancels out, not even a nanosecond and it’s gone idk what’s wrong.i bought the a new Era 100 and same issue with the sono one gen 2 i don’t even know what’s wrong to say im speechless. i have tried everything resetting the speakers the app everything.

Beam G2 still will not work properly, and yes I did Every set sonos says to fix and nothing works and actually I lose functions as i follow step.over and over. TV is 2023 LG Qned and I'm using the supplied Sonos cords nothing else is connected to TV but the Beam .  

A while ago I created this post: This is still a problem. For several games, if not all games, the volume is not how it should be. In the game Metaphor, dialoge form the sides are much louder than from the center. In other games, certain sounds seem too loud. These problems are especially bad when using Dolby Atmos on PS5, but also a problem in Linear PCM, in some cases just as bad like with the Metaphor example. I have tried several combinations without luck. This is not an issue with the TV or PS5 because this is not an issue with the TV audio. I am using passthrough on the TV and device type soundbar on PS5, but tested multiple combinations. Do I have a faulty Arc Ultra? I’m only using the Arc Ultra with my LG C4 TV, no sub or other speakers. I find it odd I can’t find anyone else reporting this. Edit: I think the main problem is that the soundbar mixes up dialoge and music, so in Metaphor when characters are talking from the sides the volume is increased, but when it is from the ce

Hi, Today I tried to play music through Alexa and it said it couldn't because I didn't have internet, but after I tried with Sonos assistant and Sonos could. I removed my account and when I tried to log back into Amazon it gave me error 400, but I searched and there was no outage. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi, Planning an outdoor entertainment wall with tv and gonna put Sonos AMP in a closed drawer under the TV and hook up to outdoor speaker wires. I am trying to understand how to run the ARC hdmi cable to the TV.  Do I run the entire ARC HDMI cable from the sonos amp in the drawer, in-wall and out to the TV.  Or can I use HDMI outlets on either side or are there designated outlets for just ARC HDMI..  I will run a standard HDMI cable from my IPTV box to the TV via outlets . Thanks 

My play base has no power. I’ve unplugged it and repligged in. I’ve used a power chord from a good playbase and that didn’t work. So it isn’t the power chord 

I have a very unusual open layout living room that we are currently renovating. Originally my plan was to put 8” ceiling speakers in to act as rear surrounds for an Arc Ultra + Sub. However after opening up the ceiling we found that there is only space for 6” speakers between the joists in the ceiling. Additionally the gap between the joists for the placement that I had thought would be best for the left speaker we ended up being too tight to even install the 6” so it would require relocating it 2’ to the right. I’m wondering if it is worth doing this placement with the left speaker being much more central than I would have liked and not being symmetrical with the center of the TV to the right speaker. I could also move the right speaker in to make them both equidistant from the center of the TV. However given this I was considering alternatives and thought about ceiling mounting 2 Era 300s instead of the In-Ceiling speakers. I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for this lay

Hi everyone, I use both Apple Music and I listen a lot to podcasts via Apple Podcasts. For Apple Music I most of the time use the Sonos App (because of the streaming quality and direct streaming). For podcast I obviously  use AirPlay 2 from my iPhone (iPhone 16 - iOS 26). I’ve read a few articles on AirPlay, including on this forum, and I was wondering which are the best practices. In this support article they say: Select one or more Sonos products to stream the same audio across all of them using AirPlay. But in some posts and articles I read it’s better to do grouping an ungrouping via the Sonos App (all my speakers are AirPlay 2-compatible). My question:Is it better to just initiate the AirPlay 2 stream and then switch back to Sonos App for other controls (grouping and ungrouping, volume) or does it make no difference anymore if using the controls from iOS).  What is the difference between grouping with iOS and with Sonos? 

Hello,I have a Sonos setup at the office and I installed Sonos Radio.But with my setup at home (with the same account) I cannot add Sonos Radio (the button to install the service is not present).  It is like it’s already installed but it is not.Did you encountered this issue?

Have 2 era 100 speakers I want to set up as stereo. How do I set them up

My setup is an Arc Ultra with rear 300s and a sub gen 3, routed through earc from a Samsung s95f tv. I am having a really hard time getting a useable surround sound balance when playing games on the ps5 or switch 2, which are both configured using lpcm 5.1 for positional surround with minimal latency. I’ve narrowed down the main issue to the surround balancing that seems to occur between the Arc Ultra and the surround satellites, where the system seems to always want to use the arc to boost the surrounds even when it makes no sense. in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for example, if I rotate the camera around so a sound source goes from directly in front of me to directly behind me I can hear it move from the center to the side and then to the back, except as it moves to the back the side is always firing just as loud as it was while the object was mostly in front of me so now the overall volume of the source is basically doubled as it comes out of multiple speakers.  truplay does nothing to m

Hello everyone,I have one group set up in my living room that consists of Arc Ultra, Sub , Sonos One SL’s for surrounds.    I also have two Sonos Era 300’s I bought for mainly playing music. (not going to use while watching tv).  When playing a song on Apple music i selected my living room set up and my Era 300’s the music starts but as soon as i try to move volume slider the music stops completely?  When I take off the TV set up and only play through 300’s, volume is fine to use?       Any ideas why playing over two groups my controls not working properly?

After the latest update i can no longer change the time for an alarm or set up a new alarm. All on a Samsung phone. The keyboard disappears before I can type any numbers. Don't people test these updates before they are rolled out?

Hi, for the last 3 weeks or so Sonos is constantly dropping out and losing connection. Sometimes it skips through tracks, other times it just stops playing. I also can not connect to Sonos speakers via the Spotify app. This all worked before and we haven’t changed our internet setup. Is anyone else having this problem? What can I do to fix it? 

Hello, I have my turntable connected to my Era 100 speakers through the official Sonos 3.5mm to USB-C adapter. The issue I have is it's doesn’t automatically detect and connect to the line in when I play music to it. If I disconnect and reconnect the USB part of the adapter, it detects it and switches to it like it should. Any ideas why it doesn't detect it automatically without reseating the adapter?

i’ve seen this on an old topic which is now closed. Playing wxrt on audacy on my sonos (original play1 speakers) and it will start up plating and just stops after 5 minutes or so.  sometimes it will play all day if i leave it on but lately im lucky if the station plays 10 minutes. sometimes it comes back on but usually not. if i have the app open, it just shows  that the music is stopped and i can hit the play button to resume. but again it my stop again a few minutes later. it’s not my wifi. if i play the same station and app on my receiver with bluos, it plays fine and doesn’t disconnect. 

again Problem with voice commands , now at this moment I can not use voice controll  with google assist , no controll on my home right now again , why buy a expensive beam while a 30 euro google device works fine , why every time update beam with so many issues
