Hey folks, I wanted to give you a heads up about a change that affects Google Assistant on Sonos. Google has announced that it’s moving users from Google Assistant over to Gemini and because of this shift, Android phones will only support Gemini going forward. This change takes effect today, 4 September 2026. This means that the Google Assistant app is no longer available for voice set up with the Sonos app.  If you still want to use Google Assistant with your Sonos system, you'll need to use an iOS device like an iPhone or iPad. If you’re looking for other ways to control your Sonos system by voice, Sonos Voice Control (SVC) is available (and works with Philips Hue). You can find out more info about Sonos Voice Control at sonos.com/sonos-voice-control.

Hi everyone, I purchased a Sonos Arc Ultra and Sub (Gen 4) last month and initially connected them to our one-year-old Hisense 55U7NQTUK TV. My current setup: - Soundbar: Sonos Arc Ultra- Subwoofer: Sonos Sub (Gen 4), connected wirelessly to the Arc Ultra- Original TV: Hisense 55U7NQTUK- New TV: LG QNED86B (purchased on 10th October)- HDMI connection: Sonos Arc Ultra connected directly to the LG TV's HDMI eARC port using the original HDMI cable supplied by Sonos- Audio connection: HDMI eARC, with no additional devices or adapters between the soundbar and TV With the Hisense TV, I experienced two frustrating issues. Firstly, the sound would randomly cut out completely while watching TV, forcing me to switch the audio output to the TV speakers and then back to Sonos to restore the sound. Secondly, whenever I switched the TV on, the volume would occasionally jump to full blast. After researching the issue online, I discovered that it could be related to an HDMI eARC/CEC handshake problem

Hi Everyone,I am somewhat torn between choosing the Sonos Five or the Sonos Era 300. So for me the idea of upgrading to these speakers began because I currently use the first-generation Apple HomePodthe bigger one’s which is remarkably good for its size and delivers strong bass that I enjoy most. I have two HomePods paired in stereo and use them for movies, where they provide a virtual Dolby Atmos effect. My issue is that, although the sound is excellent there is just a slight bass shortfall I keep noticing; this sparked my upgrade thoughts. But the quality such small speakers offers is out of the world !I once heard the first-generation Sonos Five and thought of returning to it, but I realized it is not a smart speaker. It lacks voice input and will not function like the HomePods. It is simply a very good speaker with strong sound, and since I am not heavily invested in a home theatre or a dedicated TV setup, I move my HomePods between private music listening in my bedroom and movie s

Will Sonos have an app for the new Apple HomeView?

Dear Sonos Support Team,I am writing to report an issue I am experiencing with the alarm feature in the Sonos App.When setting up an alarm, I selected the shuffle option to play my music randomly. However, instead of playing tracks in a random order, the music continues to play sequentially (in standard order).Could you please let me know if there is a specific setting I am missing, or if this is a known bug? Currently, it seems I have to manually select shuffle inside the app every time, which defeats the purpose of the automated alarm.I look forward to your assistance in resolving this issue.Best regards,

Currently it is not possible to see all my added internet radio station in the Sonos web app in favorites of Tunein. It looks like it depends on the browser window width so I see only 6 out of my 32 added stations. Will be nice to have possibility to see and start playing any of my internet radio station added to Tunein favorites.

I found if I close my blackout curtains on either side of the soundbar TrueCinema says it is unable to tune after playing the sweep tones and trying for calibrate for about 10 seconds. If I open the curtains on either side of the Arc Ultra soundbar True Cinema tuning succeeds. The curtains are approximately 2ft away from each end of the Sonos Arc Ultra soundbar which is sitting under the TV. The room is ~11x11ft with a few extra feet for the door. The two images were shot wide angle to get both side walls/window into each image. Technical support was unable to find any information on the size of the room affecting TrueCinema. Note - I can TruePlay the room fine with the curtains closed using an iPhone and walking back and forth in front of the TV waving the phone up and down. I am using Era300’s as surrounds with a Sub Gen 3 not shown in the images. Sonos told me a while back that the blackout curtains would not affect TruePlay, but obviously they affect True Cinema. For now I am fine

Hi! Starting in August of this year, it is no longer possible for users from Russia to update their speakers. What is the reason for these restrictions? Why were these restrictions applied now?

I have a pair of Sonos 5 speakers I bought in November 2024 in Australia and brought to Ghana.I play music mainly from music I store on WD MyCloud-39PC9X NAS drive.  It played very well until about 7 days ago when it plays music stored on MyCloud drive erratically with the volume very loud at one instant, then no sound the next and then loud again. I tried playing music from my desktop drive and it was the same. However, it still plays Sonos radio well.  Can anyone help me fix it, please

The Request Line is where you tell us what you'd like Sonos to build, change, or bring back. It's been launched today and I realized it would be helpful to have one post that explained the whole thing: how to submit, what happens after you do, and what the statuses actually mean. So here it is. We'll keep adding to this as the process settles in.NOTE: You must have an account on the Community Forums to access (and submit an idea) on the Request Line. What belongs on the Request LineFeature requests and product ideas for anything Sonos. Will the Sonos Era 100 SL speaker fit on the Sonos 1 stand?

On this weeks iOS (April 26)  update the A-Z listing down the left hand side of the screen  for “Songs” has disappeared (from Local Library)It’s still there for Artists and Albums

Hi everyone, I've had my Sonos Ace (Black) since December 2024, and they've been my daily headphones from day one. I love them.Recently the material on the headband started coming apart, and the foam underneath is now fully exposed, so I can't wear them comfortably anymore. The ear cushions are still in perfect condition. It's only the headband. I've always kept them in the case and used them mostly indoors and for travel. I know the headband isn't user-replaceable and I'm past the 1-year warranty. I've already contacted  Sonos Support, and they're looking into whether they can help. In the meantime, has anyone else seen this happen with their Ace? I'd love to know whether a headband repair or replacement worked out for you, or if there's another route you'd recommend. Photos attached. Thanks!

I need to see where posts in this Group will appear; if at all 🤔

Long-time Sonos owner, first post here because I'd love to see this happen. My situation: My whole home runs on Home Assistant, including a custom local voice assistant that already controls my Sonos system (native integration + the new MCP).The workaround: I built a custom Alexa Skill just so I can say "Alexa, ask Jarvis to..." — using Amazon as a laggy, cloud-based relay to reach an assistant running on my own network. What I want is simple: Say my own wake word to my Sonos speaker and have the audio (or just the transcript) handed off to Home Assistant on my LAN, with the response played back on that same speaker. Here's why it's feasible: The MCP is already half the job done. Sonos 27 lets third-party AIs reach into my Sonos system. This is just the reverse direction. The HA community would build everything else (wake words, pipelines) — we only need an opt-in hook for the mic stream. I'd be happy to beta test anything in this direction. Thanks for considering it.

I'm from Russia. Lately, I've been having numerous problems updating my numerous devices (over 20 speakers). Are you blocking updates for SONOS devices from Russia? Or is this a bug on my part?

Good day I’m using an era 100 that has Alexa enabled on it and ever 2 weeks it disconnects and I can not control my smart home devices, does anyone one have the same issue. My era is only 1 month old.

When I open the Sonos App and select Apple Music - Artists, I see all the artists in a kind of alphabetical-ish order. For example, all the As are together, the Bs together, etc. Yet there are a few random artists out of order. in B, everything is in the right order apart from Beck and Ben Folds Five, which appear after Buffalo Springfield (which would be the end of the B section ordinarily). There are a few of these, and it’s always a random artist or two at what is alphabetically the end of that letter. The other issue is that all the ‘The’ artists appear under T rather than The Beatles under B etc. Worth mentioning, all the artists are in the correct order in the Apple Music app. Can anyone offer any help?

Arc volume has huge 5min lag using remote on TCL 55Q7C-UK, was all fine previously but now happens all the time , same is happening using paired virgin remote for volume. Using app is fine

We bought 3 Era 100 for a Pilates studio - at first they seemed to work well, but now, after roughly 4 months,  every teacher has issues connecting, including me. I had to register the sonos speakers AGAIN - but it only temporarly helped and only worked for my device. Something seems to be completely off. Sometimes the music just stops in the middle of a sessions. We connect via Wifi, which is stable and fast. But crazy enough, even bluetooth does not connect! It is a huge pain. Other people, including clients, tell me they have the same issues with Sonos. Even before I bought them one other studio owner was warning me about them… I wish I would have followed her advice.I honesty just want to return them.

Anyone else having issues with that?  When I try to play music from the Sonos App to my new Ace Ultra headphones, I either get the wrong music, stuttering music or an error that says Couldn’t play content, try again or Something went wrong. Bluetooth music plays fine.

The Deezer app within the Sonos app crashes 95% of the time, as you can see in the screenshot. The other 5% of the time it works, it only lets me see my previously used playlists. If I try to access other playlists, I get another error, and I have to exit and reopen the app several times for them to appear. This happens on both iPasOS and Android. The other annoying thing is that shuffle is automatically deactivated every time you select a song; you have to press the button every time you manually select a song. Shuffle mode should always be active unless you want to turn it off.
