I have recently purchased a Beam Gen2 and a couple of Era 100s. My existing system is S1 so I need to upgrade if I want them to all play happily together. This I am failing to do. I have removed my 2 s1 only Connects but when i run the s2 Update it finds the system but is unable to update it.If I run the S1 app it tells me to check for updates, when i do this it takes me to the play store S2 App entry. The “system compatibility check” option is greyed out. If I run s2 it will find my s1 system but says it cannot update the system.I have been in touch with Sonos Support - the upshot of which was the 2nd line guy wanted me to reset my s2 components and add them one by one. This of course will result in me losing all my playlists. - which the Support guy said was the normal update approach.Help!

Never had a problem in years but my surround sound stopped working  Using playbar with two play:1 speakers done factory reset on all devices. can see the speakers individually in the app when not linked as surround sound but as soon as I add them as surround sound the two play:1 speakers disappear and say not connected in the app.  

Hi,I want to purchase the optimal surround setup for my new 65 inch TV.i was thinking Arc Ultra, Sub 4 and era100sHowever my room is only 13 ft * 14ft and read online that the above may over power the room ?Would a smaller sound bar and sub be better or would the Arc and Sub 4 still be the best to buy ?Thanks in advance,Jim 

Whatever I do, I seem to get random surround speaker dropouts.These last a few seconds, occurring maybe every few minutes - whether I’m on TV audio or Sonos Sound System Radio which I assume rules out any TV related issues.I’m running an Arc Ultra with a Gen 3 sub and two Ones for surround. The TV Is a 5 year old LG.  Having started with a totally wireless setup, I’m currently trying the Ultra, the sub and the TV hardwired to the router, which is only about 3-4 metres from the Ones. All software is showing as updated. And I’ve lost count of the reboots performed.So, what can I try next?  Is it somehow an unresolved wifi issue between the Arc and the others, or could it be a gremlin in the actual Ultra, or…?I’m stumped, frustrated and right out of ideas! Any suggestions much appreciated.Thanks all. 

I'm using Apple Music with a Sonos setup consisting of Arc + Sub + two Era 300 speakers.When I play the following album, playback consistently halts mid-track, and the Sonos system becomes completely unresponsive—as if it's frozen. I currently have a Sonus Arc and Sub Gen3. At some point I am going to add my turntable using a Sonus Port. Before that I want to add surround sound by adding 2 x ERA 100’s on dedicated stands.My lounge room is  6.5mtrs x 3.5mtrs. My TV is wall mounted midway on the long side of the room, with the Sonus Arc mounted onto the base of TV wall bracket . My settee/listening point is opposite to the TV -so about 3mtr away from the soundbar. The Sub Gen3 is in the corner of the room to the right of the TV.Due to the layout of the room, the ERA 100’s can only be placed either side of the setee, either wall mounted or on stands. So one speaker will be no more than half a meter away from my head when sitting on the setee and the same for the person sitting next to me.I have two questions;1) Will I be able to use the ERA 100’s as surround speakers and as speakers when listening to music over Spotify? HeyI’m using a Analogis easy phono amplfier to connect my Sonis Five and One and my Essential record player. It doesn’t really seem to connect welk: a lot of surface noise and silent and low quality. Can anybody help?

Good afternoon all I have a Project Debut Carbon connected through a preamp to a Connect line inEvery 5 seconds or so, the music skips, same time elapses each skipI have tried another brand new turntable and it does the same thingThis must be a Sonos think, but it only happens when using ther line in sourceDoes anybody have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? 

We have 4 Sonos amps connected to Bose in ceiling speakers that play in 4 different rooms. The Sonos amps are located in a cupboard upstairs. The TV is downstairs and is connected to a Beam. We also have a spare Sonos amp which we have still sitting in its box and 2 Sonos One SL speakers. I would like to add a turntable. How do I do this please.Just connect the spare amp to the existing Sonos system and use line in to connect the turntable?

I want to create a 5.1 surround setup. I have a Sonos Arc Ultra, a Sonos Sub (Gen 4), and a Sonos Amp with two ceiling speakers. When I play regular music, all speakers work fine. However, when I watch a Netflix movie with Dolby Atmos or a YouTube video with surround sound, the ceiling speakers don’t do anything. Only The sub and arc ultra works. What am I doing wrong? Or is this setup simply not possible?

Hi there,I’m running a stereo pair of Era 100s and running into a bit of a networking mystery. I’m hoping to get some clarity on why the speakers seem to prioritize 5GHz so aggressively, even when I don't want them to.Here is what I’ve experienced: * Originally, I had both units on 5GHz band. * I decided to switch to 2.4GHz, so I connected my phone to the 2.4GHz network and factory reset one speaker. After setup, it ended up on 5GHz again, not matching my phone's network band. * I then completely disabled 5GHz on my WiFi router, reset the speaker, and finally got it set up on 2.4GHz. But as soon as I turned the router's 5GHz band back on, the Era 100 immediately migrated back to 5GHz on its own.Is this intended behavior? It seems like the speaker is forcing a 5GHz connection regardless of my initial setup method. Any explanation would be appreciated.Thanks,

I have a bought a brand new Sonos move 2. When I opened it straight from the box and put it on charging for 2-3 days, (tried both the ways I.e. on the stand charging and charging with type C cable) I ensured that it was sufficiently charged, as at that time it was showing white and some times the orange/red light. Then in order to start my Sonos speaker and complete the setup I downloaded and logged in the Sonos app. Then via the app I connected my speaker with WiFi and initiated the system reset/software update for the speaker to start. After 5-10 mins when the entire process got completed, instead of receiving the notification of completion I received an error message on the app. Then from that point my Sonos move 2 speaker is not getting on or even showing any light of sign on life. I have tried all combinations of pressing the power button, Bluetooth button and putting in on and off charging, but I have not seen any light. Please help me, it is my first Sonos speaker and this is no

HiHave a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and Sub Mini. This is connected to a Sony A8 OLED TV.Have run trueplay on the above on an apple phone.Have read that when watching films or tv that people listen with the volume level set at between 30% and 50%. I can honestly say that the highest level I ever have it is maybe 14% maximum. That's for tv or films.Granted , the room is only average size but would be greatful for any thoughts if the system is set up correctly. Thanks 

Several more Sonos releases have been and gone, and yet there seems to be no progress with restoring what should be basic functionality in the App which would greatly improve the User Experience:Still cannot save the current Queue to a playlist. Such a basic feature.  The Sonos Windows App can do this, as can third party Apps. Why do Sonos think this should not be included in the IOS App? After playing a radio station still cannot revert back to playing the current loaded queue with the App.  Again easily done in the Windows App and third party Apps.  Would it be so difficult to add a button to the now playing screen to get back to the queue? Alarms can be created, switched on and off - but once created they cannot be deleted?I think Sonos would be better off spending their time restoring some of these simple User Interface issues, rather than seemingly concentrating on secondary issues such as controlling Hue lighting via Sonos voice commands.

I have set all delays to zero on both TV and Sonos. I have set TV to Pass-Thru.  I don’t know what else to do to get rid of sound delay. 

Hey Sonos, hear me out... (this will never work but, let's try it anyway). To regain trust from your customers after the App redesign, you could decide to open up your systems to OpenHome and allow users to add their custom voice assistant with home assistant.This would be huge, there is a big community of makers and your devices are great and will easily be adopted as main voice assistant devices.If you compare the quality of a Sonos Era or One SL to the voice assistant preview from home assistant... it's like night and day.Let us add a custom voice assistant via API to our devices, people don't care much anymore about Google Home or Alexa. I’m at my wits’ end.    About three months ago my Sonos speakers started disappearing from my app one at a time.   I have about 20 total and now I’m down to three that I can see in the app.    To save everyone’s time responding:No, I did not change my network equipment.    Yes, I have rebooted my modem and router.    Yes, I have reset the controller.    Yes, I have wired one device by ethernet.    Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone.    Yes, I have factory reset multiple devices.   When they reboot the app will have a pop-up that says “Add Sonos:1” (or whatever type of speaker I may be trying to add).    When I click through that it ultimately says, “We couldn’t find any Sonos products on your mobile device’s network so we can’t set up your Play:1.   So the app can see that the speaker is there and ready to be setup upon reboot, but then it won’t work.    So now every speaker that I’ve factory reset and tried to re-add is effectively dead.   This has happened on

Enjoying my new Sonos 5.1 setup playing music remastered with Spatial (7.1) mix. The Atmos overhead channels are missing but what surround goodness that's decoded is interesting. The sound stage is either a 70's 'Quadrophonic' thing with lots of swirling motion and panning. Or with classical, it drops you inside the orchestra (as a member) with the violin section behind you and low brass in front. Very different from  'I'm sitting in the audience' staging.I like the depth and effect for movies so why not music? Well, it still is kinda weird to me. Almost distracting hearing the stuff they remastered into a mix that never was mixed for 7.1. Like remixing makes what was intended more better by blowing it out in some sorta spatial dimension. I confess some new stuff mastered first as 7.1 and yeah, Pink Floyd tunes sound pretty cool. Will there be a transition for most music out there to be remastered? I dunno, but Dolly and Johnny should be left in two-dimensional space! :)
