This might sound like a strange question, but I realized the other day that I almost never just sit and listen to music anymore.Most of the time my Sonos speakers are playing while I'm working, cooking, or cleaning. I can't remember the last time I put on an album, sat on the couch, and listened without doing anything else.Has anyone else noticed this? Or do you still make time for dedicated listening sessions?If you do, I'd love to know what kind of music pulls you in enough to put your phone down for an hour.

This is something I didn't expect.Before I upgraded my setup, I mostly listened to playlists in the background. Since getting my Sonos speakers, I've started going back to albums I hadn't listened to in years, and I'm noticing little details that I completely missed before.It's even changed the kind of music I put on. Some songs that never stood out with earbuds suddenly sound amazing through decent speakers.

I bought a couple of Sonos bundles a long time ago. I had a Sonos Connect Gen 1 in storage that had never been setup, which I am now wanting to use.I added it to my Sonos network, but the S1 app is now informing me that if needs a firmware update (of course). When I tell it to do the update it fails with a 'Error Code 803: Connect'.It is definitely very out of date showing a version 3.8 compared to my other S1 device ls showing version 11.16.1.From reading other posts, I believe I need Sonos Support to force/push a software/firmware update to it.I have generated and submitted diagnostic report. Moderator Edit - Recorded and removed the diagnostics number.

Since the most recent firmware update and app update (Android) I had my music I was listening to on Amazon music go from fairly quiet levels to around 46 which made it very loud. I am not sure if this is an app or firmware issue. But this is very annoying and makes me not want to listen to music in fear it's going to get way too loud with my kids in the room.  It has also randomly just started playing music when none was playing.  I am not sure if it has anything to do with the lock screen controls in the app being on? I turned them off. But curious if this is happening to anyone else. This on my Arc Ultra with Era 100 surrounds and sub gen 4 

I have been troubleshooting some issues with a location that has 5 Amp units. We have moved all of them to WiFi to try to fix dropouts…During the troubleshooting, I started looking at network stats for the 5 Amps in the UniFi controller. Specifically, traffic/activity to the devices. I noticed that 2 of the 5 Amps are showing traffic to/from: Instagram, Snapchat, Uber, Google Play and Google (in addition to Pandora, Spotify and HTTP/S).These devices are controlled from an iPad that is locked down and does not have any of these above apps installed on it. The other 3 Amps show Pandora, Spotify, HTTP and HTTPS as the traffic. These I would expect.Should this concern me at all?

I'd like to know what the result is of the communities multiple requests for Home Assistant Voice integration, is it in the planning or denied?. ​@Sotiris C.  ​@Corry P I would readily jump away from google assistant if Home Assistant was supported on Sonos. Just being able to use existing hardware i already have in my home with home assistant and a local llm is a game changer. People want their privacy Sonos. The only reason i dont use Sonos Voice Control is due to it not having access to my lights/home it only controls the sonos environment, This is such a huge limitation. Sure there is a niche amount of users using home assistant.. which is only because we first had google assistant & Google Home… but that is going to change.. google is pushing its llm which i can personally say i dont want. Stick it to em enable home assistant and let the users enjoy sonos again.

I think it would be great if Sonos made a proper PC soundbar with multi noise cancelling microphones. There is the Sonos Ray but this is really not a proper PC soundbar as it only has an optical-in and no way to sync PC audio. My ideal Sonos PC soundbar would be:Max 40cm wide as it needs to fit easily under any monitor Have speakerphone capability with multi-noise canceling microphones Have physical or haptic buttons on the top (vol +/-, mute, play/pause) No LEDs or the ability to turn off any LEDs Have only one input cable (USB-C for power and audio, the soundbar should have a built -in sound card and the power supply would allow pass-through data, this should allow just one connection at the back).If Sonos built this I would buy it in a second as good PC soundbars with microphones do not exist and especially now that WFH is a thing, I believe this would sell incredibly well.

I have not used internet radio stations that much.  Recently though I have found some great radio stations.  So I’ve added several to the Sonos Favorites-Stations list.  I see there is an Edit option to be able to remove stations you no longer want.  It would be nice to also have the lines that allow you to change the order of the stations.  Does anyone in this community see any value in this idea?

Hi, As I’m French, I already apologize if my english is not perfect.My music system in my house is Sonos configured.I have Sonos Era 100 et Sonos One speakers independant in some rooms and for home cinema, I have Sonos Arc Ultra + Sub4 + 2 Era 100 for surround. As my wifi router was not working well, I built a simple TP Link Omada network based with a controller and 4 access point. I desactivate my router wifi and wifi board and my Vlan is managed by Omada Controller only. But I am facing a lot of connections issue with sub4 and 2 Era 100 surround speakers.It is almays losing wifi connections … Only on this home cinema speakers.All others still connected … Arc Ultra beam is 50cm from Sub4 so It is not a covering issue. I can see them offline in Omada Management board … sometimes go back online … but more often offline. I already factory reset devices and restore wifi connection but still losing after a while.I also forced wifi connection to the same access point via Omada application i

Hello all, I hope someone can help me.I noticed the other day that a few albums in my library had suddenly split into multiple albums. At first I thought there may have been an update that had changed the way certain albums were tagged. I did some rudimentary checks on the album tags (I use Tag & Rename) but couldn't see any issues. However on further examination I noticed that the multiple of the albums had the same track in them see images below.Multiple of one album.Only one track (The same track) showing in both albumsYou can see that a look into the folder for this album shows 11 tracks. View into the folder for albumDoing a re-scan of the library does not fix the issue. But I have found that by adding a new album to my library fixes the issue after a re-scan. However I have noticed that adding a new album can correct one problem but then suddenly another suddenly is inflicted with the same issue.So I am very confused as why adding one album can suddenly cause this issue with

I have had a Sonos Beam Gen 1 in my living room for quite some time. It is connected to my Samsung TV via HDMI ARC and connected to my network through Wi‑Fi. I am using a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network. The Beam works fine on its own.Recently, I purchased two Sonos Era 100 speakers with the goal of using them as surround speakers with the Beam.When installing the Era 100 speakers through the Sonos app, I initially receive a message stating that the Era 100 has been added but may not be visible in the system. The app then advises me to unplug the speaker and reconnect it. This is indeed the case: after the first installation, the Era 100 does not appear in my list of devices.When I set up the Era 100 again, I am asked to confirm that the speaker is working by pressing two touch controls. After that, the Era 100 speakers do become visible and function normally either as standalone speakers or as a stereo pair.The problem occurs as soon as I add the two Era 100 speakers as surround speakers to the

My source is analog computer via 3.5mm headphone out to sonos amp on “system 1 room a” and to sonos connect gen 1 with power amp on “system 2 room b”….all passive speakers….common to both systems is spectrum wifi (ethernet connect to computer, sonos amp and sonos connect gen 1)….sonos app on computer controls whether I choose manually sonos amp, or sonos connect controlling “system 1” or “system 2” respectively.Problem:...once sonos amp or sonos connect are chosen on sonos app…...app randomly decides on its own to jump to the other system after it is chosen... Ideas…?….thank you..!!

I want to add a bass booster to give my home entertainment system more low-mid range bass. I already have 2 sets of Play 3, 2 sets of Play 1,lspeakers,’plus a Playbar for my TV but also connects to music if I choose.All about 10 years old but still work great. Can anyone recommend a unit? I’ve looked at the shop but worried about backwards compatibility with both app and existing Play1 and 3’s and whether I need a small or larger bass booster- my house is a small mid terrace open plan.Appreciate any advice.

I have a new (~3 weeks) Sonos Era 100 that has developed a digital ‘scratch’ sound when waking up the voice assistant. Whenever I say “Alexa…” I’ll get the chime and what sounds like a short scratch/static sound. The rest of audio playback is fine, music is unaffected, and I’ve not heard this same sound aside from using the wake word.Restarting the speaker didn’t do anything and I’m not sure if this is something I should initiate a return for, or if its a known issue with a fix.Ideas are welcome. 

I keep getting Sonos streams dropping out. The indirectly encoded steam error and cannot play stream when playing anything - Sonos radio, Spotify, Amazon music etc.I have have a Ubiquity wireless network with a Ubiquity Dream Machine and I've tried all sorts of tweaks (e.g. changing STP etc.) and I keep thinking I've got it sorted and then the dropouts start again. My latest tweak seems to have sorted it so I thought I'd share - I just turned the meshing on the APs off. I realised I don't need meshing as I have 12 APs all hard wired back to the UDM. As soon as I turned it off it had become stableJust thought I'd share

Hello,I would like a bit of help building my setup for my new apartment. The TV will be placed in the living room which is part of an open plan space which also hosts the kitchen and the dinning area.I have already an Arc Ultra and a sub mini and I want to purchase two 6” in-ceiling speakers (Sonance) connected to a Sonos Amp.The thing is that the distance behind the sofa where I can place the in-ceiling speakers is more than the max suggested of 6 feet (1.8m). It is actually 6.2 feet.Will this distance be problematic impacting the immersiveness of the setup?

Please can anyone give advice on how to share music from my iPhone with the Sonos app? I’m having difficulty understanding what I need to do and how to do it.

I can play a playlist and see the list of songs but can’t see which song is now playing. What am I missing?

I have a lot of Sonos speakers throughout the house but the app is refusing to play music mostly the known errors "couldn't play content" I used to play music using some Chromecast device workaround since the app is terrible. Now I lost the remote and cannot reinitialse my Chromecast. Can't you guys create a working app it's not that your speakers are cheap or anything...... I will not be buying any of your stuff again nor will I recommend it to anybody. 

Our Move will come on automatically playing a song and then switch to ambient sounds in airplay. I have sent a diagnostic Moderator Edit - Recorded and removed diagnostics number.

Hi everyone, Apologies if this has been answered somewhere already. I’ve read a bunch of related posts and feel like I’m still not sure if what I’m hoping for is possible (or if my idea is the best solution).  I have an existing surround sound setup with my tv - Beam connected to tv via HDMI cable, which is then grouped to two Era 100s. I am hoping to add my turntable (with built-in phono preamp) into the mix to play out of those 3 speakers (and a separate Sonos One in my bedroom) without adding any more speakers.  It seems like that should be possible by connecting a Port to the turntable. But will I be able to use the Beam and 2 Era 100s for both listening to music on the turntable, and for watching tv (not at the same time)? Some posts have brought up latency issues/tv audio no longer lining up with the picture. But will that happen if the tv isn’t connected to Port, though the Beam and Era 100s would be? Can I even pull off this setup, essentially having two separate sources (the t
