After the recent Sonos system update all voice enabled devices have failed to install or load Google Assistant.  Sonos support is blaming Google due to Gemini and Google is blaming Sonos for a very poor app link integration. Shockingly Amazon Alexa and Sonos Voice work fine but for users who have all of their home automation on Google Assistant/Google Home they are screwed again. Please resolve this issue!

About 1 month ago, I set up a new MacBook Pro using macOS Tahoe and my Sonos system worked but I could not add my music library (yet again!!!). I used Sonos support by phone 3 times in one week. The last call was 3 hours long without any success. My only option, according to Sonos, was to allow customer support that enters my laptop and they try to add the music library for me. I have done this before but I really do not like giving anyone access to my machine. I gave access and 2 hours later still no music library and I was told that the customer support person had to leave me because they had so many other people to help. I have not heard from Sonos again.  Last week I sat down and tried the 3 options available for adding the music library and amazingly it loaded! I did not do anything different than what myself and customer service had tried the few weeks prior but for whatever reason it worked this time. Maybe Sonos finally corrected the cause of error 913. I recently stumbled upon the very interesting web app. I have three different locations on the same Sonos account, each with its own system (Home, Work, Office). The web app allows me to control and manage multiple systems remotely, which is fantastic.Once I've connected a system, I can't switch to another one. I have to disconnect and reconnect, but I can't change systems. Each time, I have to disconnect, clear all history and cookies to see the system options when I log in.Question 1: Do you have a simpler solution for switching between the Home, Work and Office systems (these are 3 different addresses)? I have the beam soundbar connected via HDMI (eARC), with a Sub Mini connected wirelessly to the beam.   Each time I turn the tv off, the sub disconnects from the Beam.  I have to unplug the Beam, then power it back on - the sub reconnects.  Any suggestions to keep the Sub Mini connected to the Beam?

Airplay wont work in era 100 from windows pc itunes, but airplay works from iphone and other airplay devices work from pc.

Songs with accents or special characters in the titles missing on Sonos Controller App when imported from a playlist on macOS.For Windows users I found this topic that will give you more information about this problem. For those who are on the macOS side here’s the way I used to fix it. I’m running macOS12 « Monterey » but it should work with many mores. My Sonos Controller is 17.2 and the Sonos OS is S2. First create *m3u file and locate the songs in the playlist with a text editor. I use TextEdit but you can choose whatever floats your boat. Depending on the app you used to create the playlist (I use Mp3tag) you’ll find the path of the songs as: /Users/polo/Music/Jean Jacques Goldman/En Public/CD1/Pas l'indifférence.mp3Where polo is my username. Now we have to modify the path of each song in the playlist to be accessed by the Sonos Controller app as follows: In macOS the url location doesn’t (at least for me) work like in Windows. I have a music library on a NAS. When I first connected it to my Sonos system I mistakenly selected the group by artist option. Where I have albums which feature tracks by different artists the library lists them all individually rather than as one album. I would like to change the groupings so it is by album.I use the Android app and under Settings - Music Library the only option is rescan library. There is no option to change the ordering. I found a help page which implied there should be an option asking which ordering I want. Where do I find this option?

I have a Sonos Roam (first generation) and a Sonos Connect:Amp (maybe 1st gen).When using the Sonos App - I can see both the amp and the roam, and control music. Things work flawlessly beyond the app being horrific.When using spotify directly - I can see both the amp and the roam and control music. This experience works the best.When using Apple Music - I can ONLY see the roam, and control music. I can’t see to get it connected to the amp. I have tried normal troubleshooting steps (restarting amp, etc), however nothing have been able to work. I’m trying to transition from Spotify to Apple Music. Any ideas to fix? Does the amp just not work with airplay but spotify is able to work around it?

iOS App. Latest app. Latest firmware.The Roam is a portable device meant to be taken away from one’s home network.So- while on Bluetooth only, one would like to monitor the battery level of one’s battery powered device.The old app could do this. Every other BT speaker I’ve ever encountered can do this.The Roam. Cannot.Please add back this basic feature.The Roam has been out since March 2021 and it had this capability until the new app was released. In May 2024 with the release of the new app it lost this capability and it’s been well over a year and has yet to be restored.  Embarrassing for Sonos, really…And please don’t respond with “you can use a voice assistant” or “because of the way our system uses BT it won’t work” because it used to be there, so just put it back, please?

My arc volume is low when watching TV but perfect volume when listening to music.

I’m a very satisfied user of Sonos, having a surround system with a Beam and two Era 100, plus two other Era 100 in other rooms. BUT… there is one thing that annoys me very much with the TV surround setting. There is no way to choose for a setting where the sound would come out in the same way from all the speakers. This means that when you look at TV shows, sometimes the sound comes only out of the front center Beam speaker when there is mainly speech, and then all of a sudden there is some background music in the show and then only it comes out of the rear Era speakers. Even worse when I listen to a music concert on TV, the speech (singing) comes only from the front center speaker (with some music) and only music is coming out of the rear speakers. Sorry but for me this is very disturbing and not at all the right music experience. So my simple question is to Sonos: just foresee a setting for TV sound where the sound comes out of all speakers unprocessed or unfiltered in the same way

I have a Sonos Beam Gen1 + 2 Play Five Gen2 + Submini. When playing music using the Sonos App, the Submini has no sound; the diaphragm doesn't respond. Could someone please help me? Thank you.

We’re having problems with many podcasts from Amazon music that used to work (on S1 systems).When I try to play This American Life, for example, on an S1 Sonos using the Amazon app, it doesn’t work.  When I look at the Sonos S1 app, I see a pop up dialog sayingUnable to play ‘This American Life’ - the connection to pfx.vpixl.com:443 was lost. Other podcasts have triggered similar dialogs with “prfx.byspotify.com”, “chrt.fm”, and “www.podtrac.com”.I’m told these are ad trackers and some form of redirect is required.  Perhaps S1 Sonos cannot handle these correctly?

I’m exploring changes in our home music system. For decades, we’ve used a NAD receiver ( a C740 from around 1998) with two passive Polk speakers, a CD player and a turntable, all in the living room. The NAD has no phono pre-amp so I’ve wired one in and we play our vinyl successfully. We’ve recently added a pair of ERA 100’s in a separate room, and finally joined the streaming generation via Tidal. Love it. In a third room, we’ve added a Beam 2 and a mini-sub to our TV set-up. Love those, too. Sometimes I add that room in when listening to music via Tidal. But right now, the old-school stereo isn’t connected to the Sonos gear. As a separate matter, we’d like to swap out the stereo’s pair of Polk SDA Compact bookshelf speakers (which ain’t so compact) for a pair of smaller speakers. The Sonos 5’s come to mind as a means by which the old NAD can connect with the new. So.  I’ve just moved country and moved into a new house.  Was pretty happy with my old Gen1 system but have fancy new job and more money so figured it was time to finally make the leap to Gen2.  Spent thousands getting a decent starting setup: Arc, 2x era300s, sub, FIVE, and a Move. Fiddle with my WiFi and new Gen2 system for a few days getting it all tuned and optimized.   Am sitting here listening to music and child calls me from another room.  Reach for iPhone to turn music down so I can hear the child.  Use iPhone volume.  Nothing happens.  “That’s funny” thinks I, “they must have made it an option in settings”. Dig around in settings for a bit.  Nope. Hi All,I am no longer able to listen to a station on myTuner Radio and I’m trying to get to the bottom of it.The station I’m trying to play is “Classical California KDFC.” It has worked for years without issue, but now I get the message “Couldn’t play content. Try again.” The station will play just fine on TuneIn, but I have no interest in using an app that plays 3 hours of ad rolls before a stream begins. It also plays through Sonos Radio since that is just a patch-through circus of ads from TuneIn. I have tried playing the station through my favorites and have tried starting a stream through a fresh search in case the URL has been updated, but it didn’t help. The stream works just fine when I use the myTuner website, so there doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with the stream—it seems isolated to Sonos. https://mytuner-radio.com/radio/kdfc-899-fm-403396/Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi guys! I recently bought a pair of era 300 mainly to listen to music. With Roku's app I can stream the audio to the pair and it works good. However I am missing some of that 5.1 experience because Bluetooth from Roku is kinda limited. So I was thinking of adding a soundbar to the system. Will the era300 full functions be too limited if I pair it with a beam? Will it work as 5.1 system anyway, with Dolby Atmos? Also: to hear music I have to create a different system within the Sonos app? Read some stuff about this here in this forum and got only more confused

Is there a way to connect my Sonos Sub back to my system it was before now I can’t. It keeps asking me to update it but it was working fine before I recently switched spot to a new portable TVs stand….PLEASE HELP….

Sorry but this is tune in on Sonos only. What a joke and if you don’t pay you have to listen to wayyyyyy to many ads - even for ad free stations!!!! IHeart radio is free, everywhere, and no ads if you want to change the station. Hard pass.

Volume level slide bar will appear but an attempt to adjust volume makes it vanish or on occasion the slide bar won't appear at all. Anyone else have this issue? Resolution? Also any way to get the volume level number to appear on the tv screen? It sure is irritating to have to open the app just to see what level I am at.

I’ll be moving to a new house soon.  In the basement is a rec room where we will install a TV and we would like some decent audio.  I currently have a 5.1 system with towers and a big center, on-wall surrounds, and a receiver but looking to make things easy in the new house, one remote (Apple TV) and a clean install.  Plan is an Arc Ultra on the built-in cabinet, with a Sub 4 on the floor.  The sofa will be right against the back wall so there is no room for surrounds on stands.  I can wall mount or ceiling mount, though I don’t know the best location.  I have ordered Era 300s and hope to use those, but maybe an Amp with some 3-rd party surround speakers might be the better option?  It looks like I have some conduit in the ceiling, though placement is odd about midway between the TV wall and the back wall.  I may be able to run power to the Era 300s via this conduit or speaker wire to the Amp.  Room will be used for TV, movies, and games.  Music isn’t really a big concern. If the recom

Hello, I have bought a new sofa “paramount” from Sofology UK. It comes with vibrating seat function for enhanced movie experience. Not considering how locked down the Sonos system is I have clearly overlooked this. The sofa can connect via Bluetooth to the Tv and works fine but this means not using my beam or 100s that I use for surrounds. I appreciate this is a long shot but is there any work around I could do to make use of the sofa. Only option I have come up with is to link my phone to the sofa and play the film both on my tv and phone at the same time, but this would not work for any live Tv and is also just a faff. I’m just wondering about sound absorption panels and Sonos 9.1.4. I’m treating my room for hifi stereo listening with absorption panels(first reflection points plus rear wall and corner bass traps).However, in the same room I’m also going to use Sonos Arc Ultra/Sub Gen 4/Era300 for immersive movie sound.My question, since Sonos is a virtual system and relies on sound bouncing off the side walls for side channels(and ceiling), wouldn’t it be counter-productive to have those sound absorption panels? Or would Trueplay correct the room acoustics within the Sonos system to compensate for the sound panels?
