Why does my Macbook Air not see my Sonos device

Hi everyone, I've searched through various topics but I don't think I've found anything. Basically, I first bought two Era 100s and put them in the same room, and with Alexa everything worked perfectly, including the thing I'm interested in: raising and lowering the volume globally with Alexa. The same goes for the physical slider on the speakers... basically, everything perfect. Then I added the third Era 100, but this time I created two rooms: the first with the two Era 100s in stereo, and the second with the single Era 100. Then I grouped them into a group... from now on, after countless attempts, with Alexa I CANNOT make the group volume increase or decrease in unison. Do you have any idea how to fix it? Thanks.

I know this has been brought up before, but a while ago. Wanted to show some support for it again.I have Sonos Speakers, which I love, and I’m starting out with my more privacy-focused smart home through Home Assistant. Sonos Voice Control was been really helpful on the privacy front! Having another privacy-focused option as the voice assistant would be great! I can control an Alexa and a Google Assistant smart home, so why not Home Assistant as well?Thank you!

community. i see a dead 4 years ago entry regarding the PIN sonos assigns to each Sonos amp to be use in setup-what a ridiculous step!!  larger installations make this sooopainful.i have customers with 10-16 audio zone amps in a rack.transferring ownership- having to factory defaultresetting 16 of these in a rack is a time consuming task.getting access to these PINs is such a headache.u have to disconnect everyone of these ampsin order to read those pins to reset them up under thenew owner. i cannot believe sonos has not found another simplersolution to getting to those PINscompletely criminal that you force this onto yourcustomer’s and installers..

Hi All.  I have used Sonos forever and have about 15 speakers.  Mostly Play1s and 5s and surround sound etc.I’m building a new house and wondered what the reviews are like re the ceiling speakers.I like the music pretty loud and clear with bass but am hesitant to move from my usual mobile plug in speakers which I am used to a fixed option.Are they worth it?  Does the sound compare to the Play 1s and 5s?My ceilings are 9 ft tall.  I’m assuming they are decent sounding but how decent?  Trying to get my head around the ideaThanks in advanceAndrew 

Hello, Randomly 2 weeks ago, Alexa stopped working on all my smart home devices, all the skills were deleted from the Alexa app and all my smart home products weren't working. So I went through and ive re-added everything and re-linked all the skills. I have everything working except for Alexa playing music on any of my Sonos devices - it works if I use an amazon eco though. Alexa works on the Sonos devices if I ask her a question or to control a smart home device like the heating, but she just cant play any music, weather thats from amazon music, Spotify or any radio stations. I have tried removing Alexa from all the devices, removing the skill, then setting it up all again and it wont work.

I’ve been using Sonos for about five years now. Unfortunately, I had to delete the app this morning to get my Spotify to work with my other bluetooth devices like headphones and my Wiim Player.This worked. But now, I don’t want to sign into my Sonos again. It constantly hijacks the connection and doesn’t let go.This has been happening for over a year. My WiiM player never does anything like this. I guess I’ll be sticking with WiiM, until I find an answer. It takes way too long to keep deleting the Sonos app and reinstalling. My friends are having issues with simplicity too. I’m starting to regret recommending Sonos to friends.

On my Sonos app on my iPhone, my Apple Music account in my name has been added.  On my wife’s iPad registered in her name, using the Sonos app registered in my name, it doesn’t want to allow her to use my Apple Music account, so she set up her own account, even though she doesn’t use Apple Music otherwise, so it’s a waste of money.  I can’t figure out how to add my Apple Music account to the Sonos account in my name to her iPad.  That’s where we can use some help.  Thank you.

I’ve just seen on my Mac (running Tahoe 26.4.1) that the version of Sonos app I have on my computer will not open in future release of MacOS. Running Sonos S2 version 17.2. (the message directs me to an apple website to learn how to update to Apple Silicon version).I wondered if there will be a solution going forward or is this the end of the app for MacOS?  

Currently, I have a Netgear Orbi RBR850 router for my mixed WIFI environment that includes several Sonos speakers.   I have had disastrous results from upgrading to a newer Orbi that does WIFI 7 and has different zones for 2.4 and 5ghz.  I gave up, as it was more frustration than it was worth.My mixed WIFI environment includes WIFI7 capable products (Macbook M5), Sonos, Raspberry PI, iPhone 17 Pro, and who knows what else I have here (LOL).   It’s worth mentioning, that I have an original Sonos Playbar that does NOT play well with the newer Orbi, that was a big problem, too.I have looked around and I’m not sure about what newer routers would work well for this.  I even consulted AI, and AI said I’d just be better suited to wait a few months until the routers stabilize. Figured someone here may have some insight to share. Hi all.I have a Sonos ZP90 zone player that works fine in our bar - outhouse, also linked play5 1st generation that I use sometimes outside in summer months.The ZP90 works fine in the bar, but when the Play5 is connected, it also works fine and audio is stable, but then the ZP90 in the bar starts cracking up – intermittent – hiccup sound like a lose wire like on a microphone eg, the play 5 outside (only 6 meters away from the ZP90) works perfectly and audio is stable with no issues.The Zone player ZP90 is connected to the routed via ethernet cable, the Play 5 is working via wifi.This problem occurs both from my laptop and also same thing from my iPhone.I wondered if anyone could suggest a reason for this, or a solution to this issue as it is now doing my head in!

The latest update broke my sleep playlist completely and Sonos has stopped me to be able to play 10 hour static noice sleep songs with YouTube music and Spotify. There just grayed out and clicking on them it gives either an error or does nothing at all. I already replaced everything, resigning in to everything, tried other songs, unplugging power etc etc. it is Sonos that blocks this cause they work perfectly on the services them self and before the latest update… This is ridiculous if this would not be a bug but by design ​@SONOS 

Hello,I’m having a strange issue with my Sonos Move 2 and Roam. Whenever I turn on the speaker(s) and connect via AirPlay, my music always stutters.However, if I play a song for about a minute via Spotify Connect and then switch to AirPlay, everything works fine.I experience this issue regardless of which iPhone, iPad, or Mac I use.The speakers are, of course, up to date, just like my Apple devices.

I can't add Imported Playlists to the queue in the Android app from my Music Library.  This was working previously in the Android app.  Doing the same Imported Playlist in the Windows version of Sonos app is working without issue so it is not an issue with the Playlist.The Android app can see the tracks in the playlist, but if I click on the play or shuffle icon it just spins away doing nothing. If I try to add or replace the queue with the tracks from the playlist it just spins.If I click on the three dots next to.the track and select Play Now, the track plays.This is broken for even Imported Playlists with 1 track.Is this a known issue that's been broken in a recent app update? I have searched but can't see anything about imported playlists broken on Android recently.Android App Version:  83.01.9

Hello all,i just brought my Sonos back to life.i replaced as well several capacitors on the board.my concerns are about the 5 (820uF 35 V) caps.i replaced them all , but in normal use, or Even in standby they reach temperatures around 55 degrease.is this a normal situation or is there still some fault ? what do you think? happy to get some feedback from you all :-)

The Alexa voice volume is way louder than the music level. Anyone aware of a fix. I’ve read other threads without a working solution and mention of Sonos looking at a fix 7 years ago! 

Why does the sonos app keep dropping one of my connects so I can't see it i  the app, even though I can see it in Spotify connect and play music to it?Any ideas to save me from resetting it all the time and connecting it as a new device?  Im an android user.Thanks Sonos Community

Hi everyone,I’m running into a recurring issue with my Sonos Amp in a UniFi network and wanted to check if anyone has seen something similar or has a working setup with current UniFi firmware.Setup: Sonos Amp Ubiquiti UniFi network system (UDM Pro + switches) Amp connected via Ethernet (also tested via WiFi) Flat network during testing (no VLAN separation) Problem:After a reboot, the Amp works fine. But after some time (hours to days, even when idle), it becomes completely unreachable: disappears from the Sonos app cannot be pinged does not respond to ARP requests In UniFi, the behavior varies slightly: sometimes the device is still shown as connected but greyed out other times it disappears entirely as a client however, the physical link LED on the switch port remains on Only a full power cycle brings it back. Replugging Ethernet alone does not help.What I already tried: Ethernet and WiFi (same behavior on both) Disabled WiFi when wired IGMP Snooping + Querier enable

I have just purchased Panasonic DP-UB9000 Region Free Blu-ray Player . When I try to play a 4k movie I get zero sound. The streaming apps all have sound. DVDs also have sound. 4ks zip.

My Move won't enter Bluetooth pairing mode when I press the Bluetooth button on rear. I do hear the tone, but no blinking blue light and it doesn't show in my available devices list. It worked fine until I added eeros wifi ext devices to my existing system. I also have 2 Arcs & 2 Subs, connected to same network,  working fine. Any ideas? Thx! Steve
