Hi,We are midst renovating a 30s house with 2550mm ceiling height. We have a Sonos Amp and 4 ceiling speakers.Looking for a bit of advice on ceiling speaker locations for the attached plan - trying to figure out what the best option would be and it it's worth running the two pairs at 99 degrees and setting them to Duel Mono mode. It's worth mentioning that there will be a dining table and chairs going inline with the pendant light at the bottom of the plan. Thanks in advance  Pat

Just an update to a previously reported issue Duplicate album names queued together | Sonos Community.  I have this album on my music library (apologies for some of the titles, but that’s the way it is): File list for album tracksThe album is listed three times in the controller: Selecting any one of the duplicate titles shows only one track: These results are the same on the Windows, Android, and web controllers.  I reindexed before collecting this info. I should add that queueing any one of the duplicate titles only adds one track to the queue. I emailed this info to Sonos support.Moderator Note: Removed and recorded case number

ERA100I have a pair of ERA100 and a mini subwho has got four in use in the same room?steve

I have a new (~3 weeks) Sonos Era 100 that has developed a digital ‘scratch’ sound when waking up the voice assistant. Whenever I say “Alexa…” I’ll get the chime and what sounds like a short scratch/static sound. The rest of audio playback is fine, music is unaffected, and I’ve not heard this same sound aside from using the wake word.Restarting the speaker didn’t do anything and I’m not sure if this is something I should initiate a return for, or if its a known issue with a fix.Ideas are welcome. 

If anyone has sonos playing their jellyfin music please share how.  Jellyfin is so awesome i find it almost impossible to believe there is no solution.  I must be missing something big.  But after hours of reading around and looking at ports and multicasting and reading about dlna and upnp i feel lost.  (6) play ones (1) playbar (1) movejellyfin running on truenas scale with port 1900/udp open.  i see nothing in the sonos app about jellyfin or dlna or upnp.  i’m tempted to create a smb share to try to share the files directly??  ​@RenegadeAndy did you ever work anything out?

Hello All -Surprisingly I have been referred here by the second level support team as they don’t have the answer, neither does the beta test team.I have about 35k tracks in FLAC on my NAS drive.  Until a while ago - after the last update but before going down the beta test route - I could right click on the root directory of all the tracks and they’d be added to the queue.  It took a little time but it happened.Now it simply tells me that the queue is full even while the “Queue is empty” is showing.  If I laboriously add each of the 30-odd subdirectories one by one they are added to the queue no problem, right up to the 35k level.I am using a Mac Mini M4 with Sequoia 15.7.4, 24GB of memory and Sonos S2 17.2.3.Any thoughts out there?  (Sonos support have no record of anybody else reporting this problem.)Thanks,Ian.

Hello everyone, since people often ask how to perfectly tune their Sonos system and because it depends heavily on the room I created a small test file that can help with the setup.Quick disclaimer:This test is about volumes between speakers and channels and what is technically the most accurate. If you don’t like the settings after the test, feel free to adjust them to your own taste afterwards.My recommendation is: perform a fresh TruePlay calibration, then test it with your favorite song and adjust your EQ settings so the song sounds best to you personally. EQ preferences vary a lot. some people prefer more treble, others a bit less. To match the bass, you'll find a step in this calibration video.For me TruePlay quick worked the best. With the advanced TruePlay I got some weird sounding EQ curves.I set my bass EQ to +3 because I wanted to give the sound more body through the speakers. I need to start completely over and wipe my current system. The instructions online offer steps, but those steps don’t align with what I see in my app. Does anyone have detailed instructions on how to do this. I’ve spent thousands of dollars and countless hours trying to get this product to work, and I’m so very frustrated. I need this systems to work given the resources I’ve put into it, so I need to start over and rebuild and hope that is the solution to ultimately making my system work. 

I have an AMP that died in a suspected power surge. I have it halfway disassembled and have good pictures. I have access to multimeter and soldering gun, but have little electronics experience.  is anyone here willing to run me through the at I should be testing or hoping to replace? I’d like to give this a shot before I drop the cash to replace this unit or find a different solution.   

I have a Samsung S25 phone running Android 16 and oneUI 8.5.  Last Monday, 11 May 2026, Sonos updated their app.Since then I can not manage alarms in the app.  The only way to manage alarms is in a PC app, in my case MacOS.  There’s a catch, the MacOS app is intel based and M1 Macs use Rosetta to use it.  The Rosetta translated app will soon be withdrawn.Sonos Support take two hours to get to the point where they just shrug their shoulders and point toward the soon to be withdrawn PC app.We invest on Sonos products because of a perceived notion that it’s good an reliable.  In recent times Sonos has become a laughing stock.Has anyone else had a similar experience? Regards,Kevin J

Two Gen 1s, for some reason the white one (L) is a lot quieter than the black one (R). No, its not the Balance control. Both are identical hardware revisions. Problem on all types of audio. My third Play:5, which I could use to figure out which one is “wrong”, is 2000 miles away.

Since the app updates I cannot connect my Play5 gen 1 to either the S1 or SONOS app. I have a mixed system with older speakers and newer ARC and Sub woofer. The other speakers are in other rooms. The 5 is the only one that gets momentarily seen in the S1 app and it automaticallty switches to the 5GZ  SONOS app and doesnt appear there either.

I have a surround sound system of a PlayBar, Sub and two Play:1 speakers for TV and streaming. Since the last update I’ve had some issues.When trying to mute the sound or change the volume via the buttons on the Play:1s, the green light comes on then goes out and nothing happens. If I restart the speakers, they will work for a short while and then fail again. They are performing normally otherwise and are visible in the app as part of the system.I just remembered another issue. When I restart my Mac, the Sonos app can’t find the speakers until I go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network and flip the Sonos switch off and on. I know this is a known issue as I found the answer here when it first happened. I don’t know if that is an Apple or Sonos responsibility.Finally, just to say that when logging in here, there was an error message I didn’t record (sorry) but a page refresh let me in. Anyway, thanks for reading this. (I can create them anew and the new ones read the same Amazon files correctly.)  It was as though a mysterious virus had swept down on my Sonos system, no idea why.  The earlier playlists (many dozens) are still there but the files are all, quote, ”not encoded properly”.   Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.(My only Sonos equipment is a ZP80.  Running S1 on my Iphone and Imac.) 

I noticed that when in the system name menu, clicking on SONOS at the top of the screen causes the system name to revert back to Your System. This does not happen when clicking the back button the top left corner. iOS 26.5 app version 85.0.31

Upgraded my TV. SAMSUNG QN55QZFDAFXZA QLED which does not have a dedicated optical port. It has the eARC/HDMI port. Purchased a eARC/ARC to Optical Audio Converter ESY266 in order to make the connection to the optical port on my PLAYBAR. Successful link and setup of my PLAYBAR and PLAY 1 speakers. Volume control via the SONOS app works perfect no issue. My question/issue is this….I cannot control the SONOS volume via the SAMSUNG  Smart TV Solar Remote Controller BN59-01432J A. This SAMSUNG remote is universal. Reading the details of the Audio converter it states  “this product does not support CEC functionality The optical interface cannot be used to control volume throught the TV remote” 

hi i have a sonos move 2 6 months old but its never been able to charge via the base usb c is fine but not the base ive just bought a new power supply for it 45w 5v incase that was faulty i have an orange light come on for ten seconds then it goes off as it should but still no charge any help or advise please 

I would like to request a software feature that allows users to quickly switch Era 300 speakers between two configurations:1. Era 300 x2 as a stereo pair for music listening2. Beam / Arc home theater setup with Era 300 x2 as surround speakersMy main use case is music first, movies second.I started with one Era 300 and was very satisfied with the sound. After adding a second Era 300 as a stereo pair, the experience became excellent. For stereo music, the soundstage, impact, and overall sense of scale were much better than expected.However, after adding a Beam and configuring the two Era 300 speakers as surrounds, the experience became less flexible. Dolby Atmos content is enjoyable and the home theater setup works well for movies and Atmos music. I am trying to connect Sonos playbase for the first time and want it ot work wirelessly with Alexa. When we connect via ethernet I can play Amazon music on it . But when I disconnect the Ethernet it does not work .

HiI have been trying for quite a while to update my Sonos Windows App on my Windows 11 device but just keeps on failing. I have submitted a diagnosticsIs anyone in the Sonos community able to help?In the app it doesnt show anything under error log either so I have got nothing to help my self troubleshoot myself. All updates are applied to my Win 11 machine. I can answer any other questions if it helps. Thanks Moderator Note: Recorded and removed diagnostics number.

I bought my Sonos 2006, so it's most probably 1st gen. The main connector to the internet with an ethernet cable is a ZP100. Over the years, the  other ZP100, I think it is, with the small Sonos speaker upstairs stopped working.. The  remote control  that I bought with it stopped working too. Luckily an app was made, so the remote control (which costed a lot of money, was made redundant anyway). Left with the ZP100 downstairs and a non Sonos speaker, it worked for years. Then I added a PLAY 5 to the mix for the kitchen. All these kept working for many years, and then life happened - no time for listening to music THAT WAY. About 5 months ago, I had a guest and put the kitchen one on. We had a good time, listened to old school music.  The very next day, to continue the vibe, I put my Sonos on and to this day, I can't get them to work! Was a code sent to brick the older ones once they come online? There's no reason the systems shouldn't work. I just want to register my unhappiness. I'm I
