I got a new router. I’ve managed to set up my newer products (beam, sub etc) using the Sonos app and WiFi. However I just can’t get the play 5 gen 1 to connect. I’ve followed everything on the S1 app. Connecting over WiFi it stalls after “join Sonos network”. connecting with Ethernet cable it stalls on “hear the chime”. The play 5 chimes but the app doesn’t recognise it. it was working fine on my previous virgin wifi, but just can’t get it going on new Vodafone power hub. The hub output seems to be 2.4hz. please can anyone help? 

CBC Music has been broken since the app update. I really miss the music streams that used to work perfectly before — I’ve been checking regularly to see if the issue has been fixed, but now even the live channels (CBC One and CBC Music) won’t load.It’s disappointing that we’re heading into another Christmas without access to the music that’s been part of Canadian tradition for so many of us. It feels like Sonos has forgotten its Canadian users. Please fix this — it’s long overdue.

The app is on Iphone. Pretty sure it never used to do this.

I just bought the arc ultra and connected it to my LG oledG3836LA tv with an ultra high speed hdmi true eARC, digital sound on passthrough why is it as soon as i use my iPad and use an app and pass it through to my tv there is no sound also when i use an app on my tv (plex) the sound works but not if i try to start a danish serie ( i think the sound stream is stereo no sound at all then when I switch back from passthrough to pcm the sound returns.

If I change the audio and playback settings in the Android tidal app does that also change the bitrate of Sonos playback when using Tidal connect? My understanding is that it doesn't and that Sonos will use the highest bitrate file available for the Tidal subscription being used; but as for some bizarre and unhelpful reason Sonos S1 (does S2 still do this?) keeps the bitrate of a playing track a secret, it's hard to know for sure? Anyone know the answer to this?

Hi folks,I have had a bit of a saga with my Sonos Connect working with my Sonos system. Quick Summary:Upon purchase, successfully added Sonos Connect Gen 2 to system that includes 2 Play:1s, one Play:5, and a Roam.  After some time, the Line In showed as Disconnected, and ultimately the Connect needed a system update that it could not execute. This was resolved with Sonos Support after successfully updating while connected via Ethernet.  Several weeks later, the Sonos Connect Line-In again showed disconnected and needed a system update that it could not execute via Wi-Fi. This time nothing worked (all the flavors of reboots on the phone with Sonos Support).  Out of curiosity, I took the Connect to another house and connected it to my in-laws’ Sonos system, on which it successfully updated and added to the system via Wi-Fi, When I took the Connect back to my home, hard reset, and tried to add to my system, it still shows as Not Registered (which it didn’t on my in-laws’ system). I’m raising this issue yet again.   I can confirm that that Sonos Arc Ultra displays the same issue with the very latest LG C5 TV.   So this problem is not confined to some older TV’s or some small subset of manufacturers.  Sonos seems to be intent on completely refusing and ignoring the problem.  This is a bug.  When is Sonos planning to fix this? Once you have Sonos Arc connected through HDMI ARC connection, you can no longer use built-in TV menu to route the sound to whatever output you want - be it internal TV speakers, headphones connected to TV or anything else.  After a few seconds the sound is again routed to Sonos.  I have previously confirmed on Samsung TV, that this was not a problem with the Samsung soundbar or Sennheiser sound bar.I already raised it previously reporting it for other TV model and it was closed: Also found similar issues reported here:https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-229129/conflict-between-arc-and-bluetooth-headphones-6890718https://en.community

What is the optimum speaker setup as to Sub distance from soundbar and surround speakers. Does it matter where they are placed?

We have successfully been sending iPlayer Radio or Spotify from an iPhone 13 (now iOS 26.1) to a Sonos Move, or to our Sonos Beam for some years via Airplay. We have Deco Mesh WiFi and the signal is strong. Since late November or early December 2025 we are finding that the music will stop after 5-10 minutes and needs to be restarted on the iPhone. It will then work ok for a further 5-10 minutes before stopping again……and again. We have an Apple TV connected to the Sonos Beam, and if we Airplay via that we get no interruptions. The Decos, the Beam and the Apple TV are all wired to the same network switch.Has something changed recently?

SetupSpeakers - Arc with Sub and two play1 surround.latest iOS app the surrounds and sub are disconnected. I cannot remove them in app, When I removed the sub it crashed app (twice).I have now factory reset arc and sub then:1. have added arc (working)2. have added the sub (working)3. two play 1 speakers on system(working)ThenPrompted in app to Add sub to arc… All ok. Connected and success sound.Prompted in app to Add surround, select both speakers, test sounds, select the position…. All ok. Connected and then plays success sounds. Go back into the app… All home theater broken again.  Help? 

I’ve got about 10 rooms of Sonos.  Have held off updating to S2 for a couple of years due to all the negative feedback on S2 and there being no compelling reason to upgrade.Spotify Lossless finally provides something that makes me want to do the upgrade.But I can’t seem to find anything that gives me the detail as to the current functionality differences between the 2 apps.  I see lots of historic stuff about not being able to search local libraries, edit the queue etc, as well as problems like lagging volume changes and speakers dropping out.Is there a good comparative list of functionality differences that anyone could point me too, and/or an up to date thread on usability?Thanks

Recently, when I ask my Sonos 1 via Alexa to play something on Spotify, it tries to do so via my sister in law’s account Spotify account (which ultimately doesn’t work).  I checked my Sonos and Alexa configurations and don’t see any trace of her account information, everything is tied to mine.  It worked fine for years up until recently.  I also have a Beam and that works fine. The only area that I know of where any of our account infos would touch is we are both on a family Amazon Prime, and also Spotify family plan.  Does anyone know what to check or why this may be happening?  Thanks

Hi all, I bought an Arc Ultra about a month ago and hooked it up to my Hisense TV. I have it plugged into the eARC port, CEC and all that is turned on. The only other thing plugged into the TV is an Apple TV 4K which is how we watch everything on the TV. About once per day the TV shuts off. The audio comes through the soundbar but you can’t actually use the TV again until you unplug it and plug it back in. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks. 

Hello, I have a problem with my Sonos Arc. After resetting it, I can't add it to the app. I've tried everything and nothing works. Could you please advise me on how to do this? 

I wanted to share my recent experience with the Era 300 and hopefully get some visibility from the Sonos team. My original Era 300 was purchased brand new, but it developed the common grill separation issue that many users have reported. Sonos support agreed to replace it, but I was surprised and honestly disappointed to learn that they were sending a certified refurbished unit as the replacement — even though my original unit was only a few months old and was a brand-new retail purchase. I tried to stay optimistic, but unfortunately the certified refurbished unit I received also arrived with a defect. The top/back grill is noticeably misaligned and does not sit flush with the housing. For a product labeled “certified refurbished,” this type of cosmetic flaw should not make it through quality inspection. So at this point, I’ve received two defective units in a row: my original brand-new Era 300 the certified refurbished replacement  Sonos has sent me a return label for the refurb, but

Hi everyoneRadio France's FIP radio links load ok using the Sonos app on an iPhone, but have stopped loading on an Android phone. Disconnecting/reconnecting Radio France to/from the app makes no difference, nor does clearing the cache of the app or a reboot of the phone.I am trying to avoid reinstalling the app because I want to retain the data for my system's setup.Any ideas anyone please?

Enjoying my new Sonos 5.1 setup playing music remastered with Spatial (7.1) mix. The Atmos overhead channels are missing but what surround goodness that's decoded is interesting. The sound stage is either a 70's 'Quadrophonic' thing with lots of swirling motion and panning. Or with classical, it drops you inside the orchestra (as a member) with the violin section behind you and low brass in front. Very different from  'I'm sitting in the audience' staging.I like the depth and effect for movies so why not music? Well, it still is kinda weird to me. Almost distracting hearing the stuff they remastered into a mix that never was mixed for 7.1. Like remixing makes what was intended more better by blowing it out in some sorta spatial dimension. I confess some new stuff mastered first as 7.1 and yeah, Pink Floyd tunes sound pretty cool. Will there be a transition for most music out there to be remastered? I dunno, but Dolly and Johnny should be left in two-dimensional space! :) 

As the title says. When using a wired (usb c - c  the one that came with the product) the rocker button on the headphones will only turn the volume down. I can turn the volume up and down with the phones (Pixel 10 pro) physical buttons and also when using Bluetooth. But can't raise volume when wired.  Anyone else? 

I have one speaker on one system. the other 2 are on another. I have one more speaker to connect and want all on one system I also had to change my wifi extender to one band instead of dual band. should I create a new wifi network for just the Sonos system?my goal is to make this all work seamlessly and have full use of the dual band extenders this is the message I get when I try to connect to the other 2 speakers  Moderator edit: Removed pictures with identifying information (serial numbers)

HiI have a play bar a sub a bridge a play3 and 5 play1 in various rooms.My problem is that often usually when we have a party , the system plays up like 1 speaker will drop off then 2 then the whole system will drop off then it comes back on its own then when we think it’s safe to start dancing again it will drop. The whole system is over 10 years old so I can only use S1 and the bridge firmware will not update. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I paid £19.99 for the Sonos 2 speaker controller during my Sonos 2 setup.  It came from Apples AppStore. Was that a con?

Hi,I have a Sonos Arc which I already had voice assistant setup with Amazon Alexa. I received an email from Amazon, “Reconnect Alexa on your Sonos speaker.” I followed the directions from the email which I provided below to reconnect Amazon Alex to my Sonos Arc but it has been unsuccessful and I have been having issues.I followed the below directions but the first issue that I am having is in the Sonos App after I removed “Amazon Alex” in the “Voice Assistant” and tried to re-add it I get a new window that pops up, “Control Sonos with Amazon Alexa.” I followed the directions in the article, “Set up Amazon Alexa with a voice-enabled Sonos speaker.” But the problem is that after I click on Voice Assistants and then choose Amazon Alexa. It does not give me an option to choose my Sonos Arc and instead a quick help box shows up, “Control Sonos with Amazon Alexa.” I have provided a screenshot for reference.I tried searching online and the Sonos community on how to troubleshoot this but I hav
