have been happy with Move 2. - til now.  today it sounds “tinny” with a “far away” quality to the sound. Please help me fix this! >i have not changed anything.> Trueplay is ON.>Playing with equalizer (a poor one — make this better Sonos!) didn’t help.  How do i fix this please!!!

I’m installing a brand new entertainment center that will be very nice with stone and white oak.  I do NOT want a sound-bar mounted on the stone below the TV.  Therefore, I’m looking at in-ceiling speakers.  This is for a 5.1 setup (which I believe means I need two Sonos amps).  Everything I have read is that a center channel speaker in the ceiling isn’t ideal.  However, my guess is that most of those opinions are from serious audiophiles.  For a family room setup is it really that big of a deal?  If not, which speaker should I use for the center channel?

I see where newer Sonos speakers with voice control can activate Hue lights. For those of us with older models currently the Hue Sync Desktop app involves direct connection to your PC which is not where most of speakers are located. It would be great  if it could be more integrated like the Spotify connection for Sonos where Sonos and Hue are directly connected through the Sync option on the Hue app. Being able to choose which speakers and what playlist just like you can currently with Spotify and Hue would be a great feature to have.Thank you,Dan Spinella

It is unacceptable that a program that completely depends on an app would end support for any of its devices. Especially ones only a few years old. I have a house full of Sonos speakers and was planning on adding more, but not if the support is obsolete or will end a coulple years out from any future OS. 

What do I need to hard wire my eras 100 to my Mac mini and achieve stereo. Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys.I have about 8 Sonos speakers in various locations around the house. Of current concern is a Play1 in the Master bedroom. I set an alarm on this speaker with the S1 app before it was called the S1 app - probably about 10 years ago if not more. 6 days a week (I have Saturdays off) it streams a local radio station from 6:30 am for two and a half hours - so it shuts off at 9 when everyone has either gone to work, or should be up in the office if they are working from home that day. If I hear it stop, I know I’m late into my home office. For more than a decade it has worked like clockwork.2 or 3 months ago it started shutting off randomly. Its supposed to run for 150 minutes, but might go for 45, might go for 10, this morning it only went for about 2 minutes before cutting off. Sometimes it substitutes the stream for the chime when the radio cuts out (like this morning) but usually it doesn’t - just stops. I have an existing Sonos system with a play base and play:1s as rears in the living room and several play:1s throughout the house in different rooms.I am considering upgrading to the arc ultra, era300 rears and a sub 4 for the living room.Are there any issues using “one” sonos app to control the new arc ultra, era300 & sub 4 with the old play:1 speakers throughout the house? I understand they will work separately for movies, but will music work in all speakers for the entire house with one app?

For several months, I have been experiencing persistent issues with the S1 controller and Amazon Music. Despite reaching out to support for help, the problem remains unresolved. I have been a longtime user of both Amazon Music and the S1 controller, but ever since the most recent S1 software update on iOS, I can no longer use control Amazon music without constantly receiving the error message: "This song is not encoded correctly."I have already tried all standard troubleshooting steps, such as rebooting the devices, restarting the router, ensuring all software is up to date, and reinstalling the Amazon service within the app—none of which has resolved the issue. It's clear that Amazon Music itself isn't the problem, as the service works perfectly when accessed through Alexa (to control Sonos) or outside the Sonos app. Additionally, other music services, such as Spotify and Radio Paradise, continue to function normally with the S1 controller. All 7 speakers were working fine on my Eero system. Then my internet went out and the technician said it was because of a programming glitch (Internet service providers recently changed hands). But he fixed it and now internet works and my Eero network is also working and even shows that the Sonos speakers are connected. However, the sonos app will not recognize ANY of them. I have 1 hardwired direct to the Eero hub and it still is not seen. In the sonos app, i am logged in, i have deleted and reinstalled the app, and Content Services in Sonos remains grayed out. When i go to spotify (which also is up to date) and tap the icon to connect to sonos, there is nothing. How do i get content services showing? how do i get this damned nightmare of a system to recognize speakers (and yes i did a factory reset)

How will the two Sonos Play speakers behave in stereo mode, but connected by a USB-C/AUX adapter to TV?

I have two problems when setting alarms. The first is a recent one. When choosing a music source, I used to be able to choose from my whole set of services as an option. For instance I could pick a Spotify playlist or artist radio.  Now, I’m given a very narrow list of options with no detail ( like “playlist 1” for instance). Secondarily if I choose a Sirius Xm station, the alarm will revert back to Sonos chime. I understand the problem you got yourself Into with the botched rearchitecture, but why do you keep breaking simple tertiary features every time you make a change. 

Since an update over a month ago, when setting or changing an alarm (On Android at least), the keyboard quickly pops up and then dissappears. It's impossible to change the numbers without going outside the app, copying the numbers you want in some other text box of an app, and then returning to the sonos app and fiddling with the text box until it highlights before I can attempt to paste it. I figured it would get worked out but it still hasn't, even after a new update. Is this bug known about or being worked on? It's been getting more and more frustrating as it goes on. 

I noticed that sometimes the content key changes the volume by 1 and other times it changes the volume by 4. Why does it do this?

One of the things that I really about Mac is being able to seamlessly select a Sonos speaker from Control Center to enjoy better audio than my MacBook Pro provides.  That has worked well until yesterday.Now when I select a Sonos speaker (in this case an Era 100), audio works for 1-2 seconds and then it stops.  The speaker still appears in Control Center and I can adjust the volume slider, but there’s no audio.I think I’ve narrowed down the issue.  Yesterday I installed a Sonnet 10GbE Thunderbolt adapter.  When that’s plugged in, I run into the issue with audio to the Sonos cutting off.  If I unplug the adapter, the audio works as expected.What’s the solution?

Hi All,Overall, I can’t complain. Physical hardware construction and delivery of sound is amazing. When it Works….! When it doesn’t, for whatever reason… cause considerable grief…. Upgrades another story… ! To put the cards on the table, I chose Apple,…. once hooked they reel you in… I chose Sonos,… and have spent more then AUD $100K on Sonos…. No issue.. when it works…  But when it doesn’t, well let me tell you… I’d put it all in a cardboard box and send it back…Kind regards, Matthew.  

Hi allafter a bit of advice. I have built a golf simulator in my garden in a tall log cabin.  currently I have a gaming pc and sky stream box connected to a projector via hdmi. (No eARC support) I output the sound from the projector via 3.5mm output and then into a cheap soundbar and sub from creative. It works but I want to upgrade the sound.so my question is, can I go from my projector using the 3.5mm aux cable into a era 100 using the adaptor, but also have a 2nd era 100 to create a Stereo pair? is there any lag / delay? also… could I then add a mini sub at some point?being standard stereo connection what’s the sound quality going to be like? thanks  

I have 7 sonos amps configured in a daisy chain to one switch port for ethernet right now. I have tried both 1 amp wired and no amps wired with the same results. The volume control slider on s2 app is about 20% of the time delayed about 1-2 seconds. Meaning I change the audio but the audio doesn't actually adjust for 1-2 seconds. I have many projects with the same config and I have never noticed this. Same exact equipment and gear.The only difference here is the router inf ront of the Bell Fiber GigaHub and configured with PPPOE which seems to have been working well. I downloaded teh desktop app and it works perfect. WiFi is very strong I am right beside an AP with full power.Spoke with Sonos and they saw nothing on their end. Anyone have any ideas, similar circumstance or anything ?I verified non of the amps is the root bridge in the matrix and they all just appear as secondary nodes which my understanding is good

App tells me that I keep needing to update network, even after I do it and it’s verified, it tells me I am not connected 

Out of the blue last month my Sonos one stopped playing music on YouTube music. I’ve tried unlinking and de authorising and nothing seems to work I swapped to Alexa and had no issues other than Alexa doesn’t let you use YouTube music and since that’s the service I use. effectively I’m left with a paperweight as it stands
