Unanswered questions

I have a number of different alarms. I would like to configure transient groups for those alarms. Some alarms should group certain speakers. Other alarms should group different speakers. I can’t set up a group “beforehand” that is appropriate for all types of alarms.  it seems like there should be some sort of “select speakers to group” when setting up alarms, but strangely you can set up alarms on only one speaker at a time. And if you set up the same alarm on multiple speakers, they don’t “sync” properly. 

My old Playbar isn’t recognizing the remote on my new Hisense Model: 55QD7QF.  It worked fine with the LG tv remote that I just replaced.  I tried changing remotes with the S1 app to no avail.  Any suggestions are much appreciated.  Thanks for your time.

Android phone running latest version of Sonos available to me..When I have the Roam showing in full screen, the battery icon shows but it doesn’t show the actual battery level.OK so I can ask Sonos about the battery but that only gives a very approximate level amount and isn’t accurate enough when the battery level is falling towards being empty.I’m currently charging the battery so it does display the amount when looking at all the rooms but I’m sure that it doesn’t display the amount in this view if not charging (I will check this later) 

Please share any eArc hdmi splitters that worked for you. Everyone was talking about Arkana, I’ve tried it, payed 400 usd with taxes, then spent several weeks trying to fix sound interruptions, changed tons of cables, trying all recommendations, but had to give up on that one and now looking for other options.There are plenty opt of hdmi splitters on Amazon, so would be great if anyone had success with any and will recommend.Thank you!

Not too long ago, we switched from an Eero mesh network to Araknis access points to extend WiFi coverage throughout our home while we had AT&T. We’ve since switched to Spectrum, removed the Araknis system, and gone back to using our Eero mesh network. We currently have the Spectrum router/modem connected to our Eero system, similar to how we previously had AT&T set up. We also had third-party technicians install amps for our outdoor Sonos system as well as the Araknis system, but the Araknis ended up making our WiFi worse, so we removed the Araknis and AT&t and set up the Eero system again with a Spectrum router and modem. Now the issue is that our Sonos system seems to be detecting two separate WiFi networks. The router’s WiFi (connected via Ethernet) is working with our two amps, but the other Sonos devices inside the house keep switching to the extender network. In the app, they frequently show as “not connected,” even after updating the network settings About 2-3 weeks

I am in the process of converting a 6 metre x 6 metre garage into a home gym. The floor/walls/roof are all being fully insulated and plaster boarded so audio should be similar to if it was in a room inside a house. I am looking for some guidance as to what Sonos products would be best to prove a good music listening environment whilst training. In my head i was hoping to just have 2 high level speakers on one of the walls about 5 metres apart - possibly Era 100s (and could add a floor sub at a later date), but I am worried they will not be powerful enough for the 36sqm space. I do currently have 2 Sonos fives connected to a record player in a 10sqm study so could move these into the gym and replace those with era 100s. I was hoping someone out there may have had to fill a similar size area and could offer some insight 

Since the app updates I cannot connect my Play5 gen 1 to either the S1 or SONOS app. I have a mixed system with older speakers and newer ARC and Sub woofer. The other speakers are in other rooms. The 5 is the only one that gets momentarily seen in the S1 app and it automaticallty switches to the 5GZ  SONOS app and doesnt appear there either.

Hello,I live in British Columbia where we recently stopped the semi-annual time change - we are now permanently in Daylight Saving Time. I turned off the Adjust for Daylight Saving Time settings so that my system no longer changes, but then my alarms started going off an hour late. The time zone is correct, although it says GMT-8 when we are actually GMT-7. I turned the setting back on, and the alarms are now going off at the right time. But I’m concerned that with the setting enabled, my alarms will go off an hour early in November after the time changes again for those regions that still observe the time change. Is there a fix for this? It seems like a bug. 

Has anyone else noticed occasional delays or random speaker grouping issues in the Sonos app lately?My setup usually works great, but recently I’ve been getting small lag/delay issues when grouping rooms or starting playback. Curious if others are seeing the same thing or if it’s just my setup.

Hi.Latest update may 2026 I'm finding app a little slow and no hd badge showing on any of my speakers for some reason.Anybody had same issue as of latest update.I get 500mb speed and 51 upload so not a network issue.

Howdy. I have two Fives, not using (and not interested in using) them as a stereo pair - one is in the bar room of my restaurant and the other is in the rear dining room. They never have trouble pairing with each other - they always play the same thing just fine.  I have a Victrola Stream Onyx, because we play our music on vinyl. I was having a lot of trouble keeping this connected via WiFi, so I ran an RCA cable to the bar room speaker, and everything was working just fine.  After a recent Sonos auto-update (now disabled), the signal from the turntable started dropping out, especially whenever I pause long enough to flip a record.  Yesterday, I did a factory reset and set the system back up. I noticed that when I deleted the Victrola app and removed the turntable from my WiFi network, things seemed stable again. My home is prewired for a multi zone listening system with in wall and ceiling speakers. I want a very simple system to stream music and support a Bluetooth turntable. I’m budget conscious and want to build out in phases. Can Sonos work for this?

So I purchased an Sonos Arc Ultra.  Since I’m stuck in a hotel due to a flood in my home I can’t complete the wifi setup (can’t do it with hotel wifi).  I’ve tried the ‘create a hotspot’ trick, but the app doesn’t see the hotspot yet all my other devices do.If I were to bring my speaker to a friends home to connect to his wifi and complete the set up on the Sonos app, can I then bring it back to the hotel I’m staying at keep the connection to my phone/computer via Bluetooth or will it again ask to be set up?  I would really like to use it to listen to music and test out various settings while I’m staying at the hotel.  I could be here for a couple more months.  It was purchased due to my insurance claim and it was on a wicked sale and couldn’t pass it up.Thanking you all in advance. 🤘🏼🍻 Cheers!

Have had Sonos running happily for months with all Sonos devices in my IoT VLAN and my android mobile in the Trusted VLAN. All worked perfectly with mDNS and inter VLAN blocking firewall rules.Upgraded Sonos speakers to 93.1-74010 and Android app to 82.00.45 this week and now having issues. Opening the Android app finds my Sonos system and allows normal control. However, let the app sit for a while or go into the background, when you return to the app it reports no products found. Kill the app and reopen, system is found again and the pattern repeats.I don’t think it is a Unifi issue as the system is found and be controlled successfully on initially loading the app?Any help appreciated.

Hi everyone,I’m repairing a Sonos Arc power supply board and could use help identifying one damaged SMD component.So far I have: Replaced the main IC (marked 1342BHDGD) Replaced the resistor in the yellow box – that one was readable at 24.9 Ω and had a burn mark. However, the component marked in red is physically cracked and has no visible markings. In-circuit it measured around 2.09 kΩ, Out of circuit it measures open (OL), so it’s definitely failed. I’ve attached: A close-up photo with the damaged part highlighted in red A wider photo showing its exact location on the board If anyone has: A schematic A known good board to measure Or experience repairing this Arc PSU I’d really appreciate knowing:• The correct value and type (resistor? bead?)• Package size• Any recommended replacement part numbersThanks in advance for any help!   

Hi,I have re-installed Sonos S1 on my Samsung tablet and now I can't connect to Tidal. See the image below. How do I solve the problem?I can login to the Tidal app itself. 

Play 5 works fine on app, and i can get sound over headphones, but no sound true speakers. I replace some bad cups but still no sound. Then i notice one of the IC has a hole in it, Does any one know what will be the replace part markings. I have marked on  pictures, there is a five of them and they are all the same type of IC. Thank you
