Hello Sonos Community.I recently, and finally, moved my Era 300 pair to the behind the sofa position. The point here is, as you can see on the pictures, I don’t have space to move them further back, it’s a passing way, so, they have to be that close to the back of the sofa. My question is, do you think the height and orientation is good like this? If you can see a white pillow in the middle of the sofa, is where my head usually is while watching TV. I guess I should not do a inwards rotation of the Eras, right? Because of the lateral firing speakers.Thank you very much for you time.Cheers 

Hello, delighted with my latest acquistion of the Beam Gen 2 home theatre set.I have connected everything as normal, however when I connect the HDMI to the arc port in the TV (samsung) the app says “arc not detectedf try again.”The sound works fine but shoild I connect to another port/change the HDMI cable?Appreciate any guidance available.

Can someone explain to me why on earth Sonos decided to discontinue support of SonosNet on the new Era speakers?  I have had a whole-home Sonos system for about 8 years now, and for much of that time I had constant issues with speakers cutting out audio or completely disappearing from the app while connected to my Google Wifi mesh network.  Finally, not that long ago I move all of them over to SonosNet via my Sonos Beam, which immediately resolved these issues.  Before this revelation, I was very close to getting rid of my entire Sonos system and moving to something else, because I was so sick of all the time wasted trying to troubleshoot this system, not to mention the complete nightmare the app has been over recent years.  This fix renewed my love for Sonos products, so much so I recently decided to upgrade some of my speakers and one of those purchases was the Era 300.  I was torn between the 5 and the Era 300, but given the room this was intended for and the fact that I wanted to f

My Sonos Desktop Controller 17.2.3 quits after I've clicked 'Beheren’ → ‘Instellingen' (I'm on the Dutch language version). Strangely enough when I change the language to English and press 'Manage’ → 'Settings’ it doesn't quit. Any ideas?

After there was an update, I tried to apply it to the speakers, but the app froze. I uninstalled it and installed it again. Now it no longer recognizes anything from my existing system—it can't find any devices on my network, even though nothing on the network has changed.This is simply ridiculous. I'm expected to use an app when I never know what to expect from it. At the moment, I can't control anything at all.Do you even know what you're doing with these updates? This is the second major failure I've experienced, after the huge app update a few years ago.I no longer want to be your customer. Hello,When setting up ERA300, I receive this message:“Sonos error your Era 300 has been added but may not appear in your system. If so, unplug the power cord and plug back in and proceed with set up in the systems tab.”I have reset the router 5 times, unplugged everything, reset all speakers to reset mode and the Era 300’s will not come up.Any fix for this frustration?Thanks,  Brian   

I don’t have a pair of Ace’s, but poking around in the 96.0 firmware update it appears that the Amp and Five have added support for it. Can someone check?

I currently have an amplified turntable that Is connected to a PORT only so I can listen to my LPs through my SONOS speakers I am upgrading my turntable to a non-amplified version. If I upgrade the PORT to an AMP will that still take the input from the Turntable and play through my existing SONOS Speakers?

Hi again In general I like the user interface in the app and I also like the changes now in july.  One thing with the GUI i don't like so much is the display og speaker groups in form in the "player". It's today as "buttons" on a single line on top of the speakers. Even though I initially made 8-10 groups I rarely use them as scrolling to get the wanted group isn't natural use for me. I would like the groups listed somehow - then will selecting a group be easier and more on intiuition. I don't have a clear solution how to improve it. It can be a list above/below speakers, it can be a tan for groups and a tab for speakers. Probably other better solutions - just look into how groups can be displayd best way 🙂Thank you in advance Amund 

HiI'm one of those who is tired at the morning. Like verry, verry tired and a large bit more tired 😅One of few things that help is to be forced to go out of bed to stop the alarm. So for those like me it would be verry nice with a setting that the alarm only can be stopped by pushing button on the physical device (speaker).I guess it would be good if it's possible to stop the alarm  somehow in the app in case forget to turn it off before go to bathroom etc. But then somewhere "hard to find" in the app, not something doable in half sleep.Thank you again in advanceAmund

Hi All,Yesterday my sound stopped working from the Arc.  After following a few suggestions of toggling things off and on, restarting tv and arc (fixed it for about a minute then dropped again), I had to reset it.  Only then it appears to be back on although haven’t had it on for longer than 15 mins today to see if its a fix.  Been working fine for over 2 years.Why would it do this?  Is it likely developing and problem or could it simply be a one off handshake issue?Strangely, when I tried to run the SONOS radio instead of TV, the sound came through the rear surrounds.

HiI have been using Sonos system for about a year. We have 8 speakers, 2 beams and are generally verry satisfied with the system 🙂 But I have some wishes for improvements regarding Tidal integration that is the music supplied I mostly use.  In Tidal app:The integration should be improved for better stability. I understand that this isn't something you can do by your own, but I guess focus from you on it can bring it forward.  I have tried to report it detaily to Tidal but it have'nt been improved so far.I experience that in example changing speaker after starting to play stops it all. Then need to stop Tidal app to get it work again. Adding songs isn't fetched, change order of songs is not fetched and so on. In short: The stability needs to be improved.Tidal in Sonos app:I have been primarily using the Tidal app to play music since I like some features there. But I til stability is improved I will try to use the built in Tidal In Sonos app. There I have this wishes for improvement: -

I currently have a Sonos Play Bar connected to my 85 inch Samsung TV.  Since I am experiencing audio drop off’s I am looking to replace the Play Bar with the Arc. My Play Bar currently sits on the counter, under my wall hung TV, that sits at a slight forward angle. At present, the Play Bar is actually hung on the wall by screws, just with about 1/8” clearance above the counter top. The top of the Play Bar is about 1 ½ to 2 inches below the bottom of the TV but sits a good 12 inches behind the bottom of the TV. Based on what I have read within the community, I do not believe the 4 inch separation from the bottom of the TV to the top of the Arc is an issue. Before purchasing, I thought I would reach out for expert advice on placement of the Arc. Is it better to place the Arc against the back wall just like I have the Play Bar now? Or should I bring the Arc forward, in front of the TV, since I have 7 ½ inches of counter top in front of the TV? Whether the Arc is against the back wall or i

I have continuously experienced major problems with the app for years. I have tried every possible fix I could find online, worked with support staff multiple times, and followed all recommended troubleshooting steps. I have restarted and rebooted everything imaginable—the app, speakers, platforms, hardware, and routers. I have even replaced routers, changed platforms, and upgraded hardware, yet the problems persist.I genuinely love the products and have been a loyal customer for nearly 14 years. In fact, I would like to purchase more products. Unfortunately, the ongoing issues with the app overshadow my enthusiasm for expanding my system.What is especially frustrating is that my system often works more reliably when controlled through Spotify and other third-party apps than through the Sonos app itself. Hello!  I am trying to understand why the middle speaker isn’t “working” when used as rear with Arc Ultra.  I almost feel like I don’t hear my rear. I understand that the “Atmos” is working because the side speakers work. But is it ment that the middle speaker shouldn’t work as rear speakers?

I have had Google Assistant installed on my Sonos One speaks for years now. But for no reason whatso ever it stopped working (just another Sonos feature).  Every time I said “Hey Google”, the speaker would take many seconds to reply then told me “there has been a glitch, try again in a few seconds” but it just wouldn’t work. I followed the instructions to uninstall the feature from the speaker and then reinstall - but it just will not work. I don’t know if it is because the Google Assist app has evolved leaving Sonos behind or what but it get blocked every time when, in the Sonos app I add assistant → Add Google Assistant → Open Google Assistant app…. and then it just hangs. I’ve checked my Google Assistant app but I’m pretty sure it has been updated since the last time I installed the speakers.  So I just can not get past this point.  I use the assistant a lot as I have smart devices all over the house.  If I can’t get this to work, I will have to get rid of the Sonos speakers and buy

Hi,Since update 85.00.31 (Android) of the app, content from Pocket Casts service is not shown in playlists containing it. Here is the playlist list from my system. The playlist Podkassos currently contains only podcast episodes from the same podcast. The picture generated for the playlist is correctly using the pictures from the episodes.Playlist list When I look at the content of that playlist, the message says there is no content.No content shown in the sonos app The same content shown in the alternative app noson correctly show the content of the playlist.playlist not empty in noson The playlist can be enqueued and played. I’m wanting to understand if I connect a Sonos Port to an AV Receiver that is ‘Works with Sonos’ certified, will the AVR switch on automatically if a connected Sonos Port has an active alarm?I couldn’t find any of this information in the documentation or on this site so wanted to ask here. Hoping someone who has used a Sonos Port in this way can respond.Based on the answer I can decide if I should purchase a Sonos Port.

I started having an issue a few weeks ago where my Family Room speakers keep dropping whatever music service I am streaming.  The Family Room consists of a Playbase, Sub and two One’s.  All of the other speakers are working fine and I can listen to TV audio without issue.  I have restarted my router and all of the speakers and the issue persists.  I tried contacting support a few nights ago and that wanted me to log into my router and change the network channel.  I was unable to do so as my ISP seems to have reset my password.  Although I am not sure why I should have to make network changes if all of my other speakers are working fine.Maybe the Playbase is just old and it is time for an upgrade?  Anyone else experiencing issues?  

Hi there,New Play, added SVC and Alexa. Worked fine at first, then the speaker would stop responding to “Hey Sonos” or “Alexa.”I tried removing Alexa and Sonos voice control and re-adding and that didn’t work. Restarting the Play worked before to get them to respond, but restarting the speaker doesn’t seem to work anymore either.Done everything short of a factory reset because that’s always a headache.any ideas?

I have a Play:5 that has been having problems for a few years now. It occasionally cuts out for 5-10 seconds before resuming. It happens somewhat randomly, but more often when starting a new session and when adjusting volume. I have been talking with Sonos Support, but they couldn’t solve it.I have tried several different network solutions:Placing the speaker closer to and further from the router Having something or nothing in between the router and the speaker Ethernet 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz Changing the WiFi channel to 1, 6 and 11 Different routers Living two different places (meaning different amounts/types of outside interference)Ethernet has helped, but the cutouts still happen and it ruins my listening experience. Especially when I have guests over. I am wondering if anybody has had problems with the Sonos app occasionally disconnecting while it plays music, from both Spotify and Apple Music.   I submitted a diagnostic to Sonos, but the rep on my subsequent chat did not have a definitive solution.   He suggested I phone CS, because they have better diagnostics.I tried disconnecting my wireless speakers on a hunch, but the problem recurred after that.   Could these glitches be on the Sonos end?   Has anybody definitively solved these?    Thanks.
