Hey everyone 👋Today was a big one. Like, "someday I'll tell people I was there" big. We just wrapped Sonos Open House, and I want to put the whole thing in one place for anyone who wants the recap without the stagecraft. Grab a coffee, this one's worth the read. ☕TL;DR: We gave our software platform a name: Sonos 27, the audio operating system for the home. Two new products, Beam Ultra and Sonos Ace Ultra, are up for pre-order today and on sale September 29. Portable surrounds are available starting September 8 and Sonos 27mcp lands in Early Access the same day. Headphone linking hits Early Access September 29. Sonos 27voice arrives this fall. And yes, the app updates you've been asking for are in there too.The big picture 🖼️For 20+ years, people have thought of us as a speaker company. Fair enough, we make a lot of speakers. But the thing that actually makes Sonos work is the system underneath, the software that lets a soundbar, a portable, and a pair of headphones all act like one
Hey everyone! 👋🏼Today Sonos announced a partnership with Škoda, one of Europe's most respected automakers, as the audio partner for their upcoming flagship electric vehicle, the PEAQ. Our team architected the in-cabin listening experience from the ground up: how music, voice and entertainment sound and move throughout the cabin. It's the most advanced in-cabin system we've built in automotive to date and we’re proud of what came together.Let me give you context on why this makes sense. 🔍Sonos was built around one idea, that sound should move effortlessly through the home. Everything we make is designed to show up across rooms, across the moments that fill your day, in a way that feels natural rather than something you have to think about. But listening doesn't stop at the front door. For a lot of people, especially in EVs where cabin noise is so low, the car has become one of the most intentional listening environments in their day. Taking what we've built around the home system an
Back in February I posted here and committed to being more present and more transparent about where we're headed. Time for an update. We’ve been working through a long list of improvements, and we're now in the final stretch of getting them ready. I know it’s been a decent interval of quiet on my end. Thanks for your patience. We've been reading the posts. What I wanted from this work was simple: a series of enhancements that make Sonos easier to learn and easier to use. The team has spent hundreds of hours over the past year watching real customers use the Sonos app, longtime owners and brand new ones alike. We've learned a lot about what hangs people up, what's confusing when you're new to the system, and what slows you down when you're just trying to change the darn volume. What kept showing up was this: a lot of friction came from proprietary patterns we built that made the app harder to learn and use than it needed to be. Stacks on stacks on stacks of content cards. Swipe-up gestures
Just a little FUN!!!
Can anyone recommend a system that just ‘works’ ? I’m sort of done with Sonos now! I get everything working and then it loses speakers, I’ve lost patience, I can’t do it anymore, for the few days that it works. I need a system that when you invite your friends around, just works!
The account was with the email of the manager who left the company. Just want to log in with the new account created with the email of the company.
Time for Sonos to upgrade their environment so their platform can be controlled by LLMs - need a full MCP server that can be called by LLM Agents

Hi there,Just gave a friend of mine a brand new Sonos Move that I’ve had in its box for these last few years and as she has an Amazon Prime subscription I setup Amazon along with Absolute Radio and Global Player to get her started! Not content (see what I did there) with that she wanted to know if I could attach my own music library which consists of 12,500 songs ripped from my CD collection so first of all I thought no problem as her EE SH35A router has a USB port along with 4 RJ45 ports. So I plugged in a 64GB USB drive that is my library backup as proof of concept but when I go into her router admin pages I see no mention of USB or file sharing.A little bit of research seems to indicate the USB port on this particular router provided power only which seems very short-sighted to me as all of the routers I have used over the years that had a USB port could be used for file sharing. So Plan B is to attach a NAS of some sort but I would like to ask if anybody has any recommendations for a
Used to use the Sonos app exclusively. Then as we all know Sonos threw us a bomb that messed up a lot of users. After reading the constant complaints and issues so many were having, I went with the SonoPhone and Clic apps. They worked fine and I didn’t do any Sonos update's for two years. Now, I listen to SoundCloud most of the time if not a movie. Lately, SoundCloud and Sonos weren’t playing well together and I threw in the towel. I downloaded / updated the Sonos app……and ..drumroll 🥁🥁…. the Sonos app has been great and SoundCloud is perfect once again . Now I have a question..can one have the option “ No Content “ in a room , or will it always show music or tv?
Why is Sonos customer service so poor? Got very poor support for a technical issue a few months back and now poor support on a sales issue.Ordered a Combo Adaptor for an ERA100. Padded envelope arrived open and empty. Wasted 45 minutes with the bot and an agent before being told they couldn’t resolve and given a link to sales. Faced with a choice of making an international phone call or submitting an online form where they will get back to me within 7 days. 7 days? You have to be kidding.great products but the arrogance and complacency with which they treat customers is appalling.
Well, I bought into this SONOS system and it used to work awesome. Now, it’s crap. Now I have all of these components and they're all as good as paperweights now. I cannot get this BS system to work anymore for anything. I have submitted diagnostics, well when the system will allow me to anyways, most the times I cannot even submit diagnostics because I can't connect to it or it just simply won’t let me. I'm so frustrated with this system. I have speakers in every room of my house and I sure wish I could control them. My speakers drop off, one room will play one thing while the rest of the house is on something else or just gone. I've spent time with the techs on the phone. I've had to go to every single piece of equipment and unplug it and plug it back in. I just want to listen to music in my house but I guess I put all my money into the wrong system. Anyone have a better system they are using now cause I'm ready to throw thousands of dollars away to get music in my house. S
First time this ever happened. The Sonos app would not open telling me something about Guest Network Off or something like that. An attempt to login failed. Had to delete the Sonos app then reinstall. Login worked then. This is a real reach….At the same time both my wife’s and my phone showed “Call failed” when trying to call someone. While this was an issue the Sonos reinstall was executed with no further issues. We called the carrier using the neighbor’s phone. An agent finally got the phones working again for calls. I see no reason the call issue & Sonos issue would be related. Does anyone think there might be a relationship between these two occurrences?
Has anyone ever successfully requested reward redemption for those that are a part of the C Space Survey research? I put in a request about a month ago and despite repeated messages sent to moderators have not had any reply. There was also a survey from a couple weeks ago that was supposed to end with a gift card by the end of 8/14 and now that has come and go without a peep. There is one entry in these boards where it’s assured the whole C Space process is legitimately from Sonos, but now with this lapse in reward redemption I’ve wondering if it is. Anyone? Thanks.
Why do Spotify playlists in the Sonos app not reflect the edits made to Spotify playlists in the Spotify app?
Album Art Display shows the current trackAlbum Art Display shows the album art from the currently playing track on your Sonos music system. It runs on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+ (or more current version) with an attached 7-inch DSI touchscreen. The album art fills the left square of the screen, with the song, album, and artist shown on the right. The display's backlight turns fully off when nothing is playing and wakes automatically when music starts.Touch the screen at any time to bring up on-screen transport controls (previous track, pause/resume, next track, and a sliding volume control) which fade away a few seconds after your last touch. If the Pi cannot automatically connect to a Wi-Fi network at startup, it broadcasts its own temporary Wi-Fi hotspot so you can connect it to the Wi-Fi network from your phone. A small built-in web page also lets you switch which Sonos zone is shown from any device on your network.I open-sourced this project. The code and complete DIY instructions a
HiWhen working on groups in the settings:When entering a group to see what's speakers in that group -> no change done -> going back (arrow) or cancel (X): Message for "do you want to" appears. If going through several groups this message box is disturbing. The message box/question is of course important if do a change and use arrow/X, but when No change is done it should not appear.Amund
Educate me.. I’m not a tech guy.. are there two different types of updates for Sonos.. app and software.. or are they the same? What updates make the speaker lights flicker ? Tia
I guess I’m having the same issue as many with the tracks “ not encoded correctly “ . After reading a few of the older post, am I understanding that the fix is to delete the music library and start over by re listing the tracks again ? Strange how it will play the first track in the list but no others..just goes back to the first track repeatedly.
Weak base after setup
Why is it that any question I ask as a new topic has to be reviewed by a moderator? Wasn’t like that before.
My favorite way to listen to music in the Spotify app is the artist page, where it shows all of my liked songs from that particular artist. I do not see a way to do this in the Spotify integration in the Sonos app.For example, I want to go to a page that has all the Luke Combs songs I have liked in Spotify.
My room is not symmetric enough to obtain great results using TruePlay. The system is Arc-Sub3-ERA 300s. The problem is the room is open on the right side so no reflections off the wall on that side. This makes it sound as if the right surround speaker is lower in gain. It would be nice to be able to boost the gain just a bit on the right surround 300. I know if you run TruePlay you loose the option to set distances. Not sure changing the distance of the right surround would work to increase gain. I believe that’s more of a timing adjustment.
Would it be possible to add the option to turn ON/OFF Shuffle-Repeat-Crossfade to the IOS Shortcuts Sonos interface?
Hello Sonos Support Team,I'm writing to share some feedback regarding my Sonos Era 100 speaker, which I've been enjoying overall, but I'd like to suggest a few improvements that I believe would enhance the listening experience for many users.1. Next/Previous Navigation for Radio FavoritesCurrently, the physical "< >" (skip forward/back) buttons on the Era 100 do not support navigating between favorited radio stations or stations within a Sonos Radio collection. I would love to see this functionality added, so that pressing these buttons while listening to a radio station would move to the next or previous station saved in my Favorites (or within a specific Sonos Radio collection), rather than being limited to track skipping within music playlists/queues only. This would make it much easier to quickly browse through preferred radio stations without needing to pull out a phone and navigate the app.2. One-Tap Playback for Radio Stations, Playlists, and SongsAt the moment, starting p
