So i have several Sonos setups. I have a surround one SL pair, one play5 and a Beam plus One SL surround combined for tv. My iPad will let me airplay to all three setups but when i select any of the three setups on my iPhone (airplay sees them just fine) i get an Airplay passcode request.please don’t tell me to reboot or re setup the sonos devices because this was done multiple times and is annoying to do. it works perfectly fine on iPad but on iPhone it asks for passwords. I have no password requirement setup in AppleTV or on Airplay.Everything is setup on the same (and only) WiFi network available. And as said it all works fine on iPad why is airplay asking for passcode on iPad?
hi just touching on this which im sure has already been asked plenty of times, but can we just get dts hd and dts x already it seems crazy to me to think a system that can cost up to and over 1500 hasnt the ability to play these modern formats, when you could pick up a standard av receiver for about 300 pound which would support all the mentioned formatsI have found myself more times than enough now sitting down to watch a film and simply getting mute audio just because it is in dts hd or dts x and quite alot of the time this is when i have friends and family over so it isnt a good look for the sonos brand that it cant produce sound for these types of movies or tv showsit is somnething that could quite easily be achieved since yous went and enabled dts standard after not supporting it, i feel if yous want to be seen as the go to soundbars yous then have to make sure its the go to for audio formats also which currently it isnt dont get me wrong the sonos eco system and products are fant
Why does Sonos keep closing this topic? We need a fix for this. Every time I update Sonos Controller 1 it restarts my Windows 10 PC without any warning. After it has done this, the update runs and every thing is fine. It is very irritating and without a prompt about a restart you could lose any unsaved work.
i have samsung tv that connected to beam 2 by HDMI to Earc until yesterday every thing work fine.after the update to 15.8 the beam refuses to connect to the tv. i talk with the support and we tried everything. the only way to get the beam to connect is unplug the power cable and plug it back every time i turn my tv this is the only way. since yesterday that what i do every time i turn my tv.its a nightmare sonos have to fix this issue.
Hi All, My Sonos system previously had (2) amps and (1) one SL speaker and everything was working fine, (all items were hooked up wirelessly). I did recently change my wireless provider but I reconnected all the devices with no issues.I added an additional one SL speaker to the system (total of 2 one SL speakers) and everything was working fine until one of my amps disappeared from the system shortly after adding the speaker. When I tried to factory reset the amp that disappeared, it keeps failing to connect to the network even through all the other Sonos devices are connected to the same network with no issues. I keep getting a message during set up that says “the connection to your Sonos Amp was lost. Move your mobile device closer and make sure Sonos Amp is powered on.” The amp and router are only about 5’ away from each other and the amp is obviously on during set up (my cell phone is also next to the amp during set up). Hi there,I’m new here and I’m really hoping someone can help. I have a Sonos Ray which is working perfectly as a speaker over wifi but whenever I try to connect it to my TV it fails. My TV is a Panasonic LED TV, model TX-49FX555B.I’ve used two different Optical digital cables, including the one provided (with the little plastic covers taken off) and the app keeps telling me that no signal is detected. I use an Apple TV but I’m obviously connecting directly into the TV (I’ve tried unplugging the Apple TV in case that was an issue) but the optical connection is just not working. Everything else is ok, the Ray recognises the remote (the light on the ray is working).Any advice would be greatly appreciated - I’ve been faffing around with it for ages!Thank you in advance, Tim.
I have nine sonos 2nd gen devices and they never work properly as a net. Most of the time some stutter or do not play. I’m sick and tired of having to reset my router to try and fix this for a few minutes before they fail again.There’s no point in having great sound quality that doesn’t play..
The Sonos app suddenly not working with the iOS lock screen control and volume button anymore, suspect it happen after the Sonos iOS app updates. So far I had tried:Restart the iPhone and make sure the iOS and Sonos App having latest version Reset Sonos app Reset + uninstall + reinstall app Off and on Sonos ERA300 and do the above Research all possible solutions from Google but nothing helps yet :( All of this not working, my app version is 15.6 build 74043110 with iPhone 14 Pro iOS 16.6. Is anyone facing the same issue or this is a known software bug?
We use our Roam to play white noise in our daughters room. The speaker is set up in her room on the wireless charger. Previously it always worked fine, and then now it randomly just drops out and appears as “not connected” in the Sonos app. It’ll play for an hour or so, and then it disappears. Hard rebooting the speaker via the button on the back returns it to the app and makes it usable again, but it’ll play for another hour or so and then randomly stop and disappear. For reference: my home sonos system runs on Sonosnet channel 6
Hi All I am currently wanting to upgrade my Play One’s to Era 100’s, I have them attached to non height adjustable Sanus stands. I can see the 100’s locking screw is on the bottom of the speaker which means I can’t use them. Does anything exist allowing me to adapt these stands for the 100’s other than having to buy new speaker stands? Thanks
Alright so the biggest reason I went with Sonos was the ability to control the devices remotely and being able to lock other people out of changing the music. We use the devices at my Harley dealership and this is also creating a problem. There is 1 day a week where there is not an authorized user at the dealership to control the port. Well don’t turn it off or pause it right?? Well great idea but that doesn’t seem to work either. When we come in the next day and turn the amps back on the music has to be started from the app. Well on Sundays that’s a problem. I am not on the same WIFI. Is there anyway in the setting to set it up so it doesn’t stop playing or even better they turn on at a preset time and start playing the last source? When watching the demo video I was under the impression that I could monitor and play from a remote location. Any insight would be great! Other than this issue it is great!
Here the issues from latest:it died in me and I had to reset it to factor settings to get it to do anything but show an orange light. it won’t play music if the battery runs out and even after you plug it in. Most of the time I get music playing and it starts flapping and feels like it doesn’t know where to use wifi or Bluetooth; have to restart the unit the app and some random stuff for 5-10 minute to get it to work. Why do the buttons and lights suck and the lights provide no real feedback from the device in what stupid state it’s in. The whole UX is terrible on the device. I would never wast my time to create an account to vent but this device deserves it. So how has your experience bee and what did you do to fix your Sonos Roam?Gave it to someone you hate? Hi everyone, Was wondering if anyone had similar issues?I bought refurbed Arc 2 months ago and it was perfect, was very impressed with the sound.Few days ago I noticed the volume level was lower and the sound especially bass was very tiny. That’s on all sources Tv, AirPlay, Apple Music etc. The Arc volume level is much lower now compared to other grouped speakers in the house. It sounds more like TV speakers than the Arc it used to. I am not sure if it happed after one of the updates. Tried to reset but even the sound when the Arc starts is much lower now and when I did last true play the test sounds were much lower as well. I also remember at the beginning the two side firing drivers used to produce quite a lot of bass but not anymore, it’s like they are just playing ambient sound now. Any thoughts? Thank you
Beyond thrilled to receive the new Sonos Arc. True played my room and I have loudness on as well connected to LG B8 using Tidal and Spotify. Most of the sound range is phenomenal, aside from the bass. At even half volume the woofers are extremely muddy and sound terrible. Not sure if this is because I have under two hours of use but I wasn’t expecting to have to break-in the speaker. I own set of speakers next to it in the same room (KEF LS50W) and the difference is night and day. There have also been posts on Reddit regarding this issue. It is interesting given no reviewers have mentioned this issue but more than a few recipients have. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Turning loudness off helps but it is disappointing for such a highly anticipated product.
Hi, I'll replace my old Sonos Connect (Gen 1) for a Port, will my Sonos Play 3 and Play 1 system speakers work?I’m migrating from S1 to S2 and I wanted just to make sure it’ll work or should I get a second hand Connect (Gen 2) ?Thanks for your help to figure this out!
