I have been trying to connect for some time now and have exhausted menu options between the two. Any help greatly appreciated. I have a new LG C5 TV connected to the Sonos amp via approximately 12 feet active HDMI cable running from the TV to the amp in the basement. Well, I can get sound initially though ultimately cannot switch to another tv audio source. I can never revert back to television speakers nor play music from the amp. Additionally I have found that this will put the amp into a protected mode (blinking orange). I did not have any power source connected to the HDMI cable (active). I have read throughout this forum the incompatibility between the CEC HDMI arc and the LG line. I also have two HDMI cables routed in opposite directions.  I have tried every menu option available on the amp via Sonos as well as the television. (Powering down and restarting as well). I even tried a new amp.  But before I go about changing the cables, (which would take considerable work to reroute)

SUGGESTION:I just found an inconsistency between the mobile app and the web app that possibly needs attention, to be aligned. The new iOS app is great in that if you tap the volume slider, you get a + and - to allow you to increase and decrease the volume. BUT if you click the volume slider on the web app, it immediately jumps to where you clicked! I just clicked the slider, expecting to see a + and - like i get on my phone, but instead instantly turned the speaker up from 2 to 51 (which can’t be good for the speaker), and gave myself and my family a fright until I could turn it down again…!If improvements are being implemented on the iOS app, can that intuitiveness be carried over to the web app for consistency and ease of UX?

It is clear that Sonos will not be updating the controller to run on Apple silicon. That’s where we are. Using a web based app concerns me:Internet access is not universally good Privacy concerns and the value our choices of music etc have to Sonos to either use or sell on. Our “options” would be a zero sum game. Given that I am almost certainly not alone, there are folk who have third party apps that are more players than controllers, by which I mean many configuration aspects like adding speakers etc. aren’t an option. They just play stuff on Sonos hardware. So, where are we to go once Rosetta gets canned and using a web based app is either unattractive or technically unviable?  Recommendations please 🙂

Since installing the MacOS Golden Gate Beta, the Sonos app will not find the system.Firewall is off, so the only help in the Sonos app about that is of no effect.I know the app is vintage anyway, but has anyone worked out how to get out working?I know everyone will say use the web app, but it’s crap. I want the app and its native experience with notifications etc. 

HiI bought an era100 speaker for my daughters bedroom specifically to use with voice control via tidal. I was unaware at the time that this was not compatible in the UK. My question is will this be fixed with the S27 software upgrade in the UK?

Having all sorts of bizarre issues with portables as rears all of a sudden. Anyone else had this in the past few days? Was working sweet when the update came out… is it a ios27 thing? Speakers are showing, they’re optioned to be used as surrounds, but now they’re immediately going offline. Is this a known issue?

Hi All, I am currently in the middle of an extension build, the end result will be open plan dining, then kitchen and an additional seating area at the end, this space is roughly 4.8m x 11m, 3m ceilings... I would like to incorporate speakers for music, and then TV/Movies and PS5 around the seating area. I like the sonos for simplicity and expanding at some point into the garden for summer BBQs.I was thinking either 1) Arc Ultra alone OR 2) Beam2, a sub mini and 2 x ERA 100s on the back wall (either side of the art on the picture) at the tv area, and a ERA 100 at the other end between the dining and kitchen for filling the area when only listening to music.We are at a point of electrics in the build, now I am thinking do I need 2 x 100s wall mounted at either side of the sofa for rear surround? My concern is that I obviously don't have the room to sit them behind the seating area, so will they be too much 'in your ear' for surround sound AND also if your lazying on the sofa listening t

Has anyone fiddled with the Apple Shortcuts automations for Sonos?  I created an automation to play every Sonos Room.  I know I could have just said “Hey Sonos. Play Everywhere”, but using that option plays the Rooms at whatever volume they were last set at.  The beauty using the Apple Shortcuts app is you can preset a volume for each room.  Unfortunately when I looked at what music can be played the choices were only radio stations in the Favorites list.  Has anyone been able to access Sonos Playlists as well as Radio stations?

I’m considering getting a Sonos Arc Ultra for my living room, mainly for PS5 gaming and movies. I’m interested in how well it handles Dolby Atmos, especially with games that support 3D audio.For those using an Arc Ultra with a PS5, how is the dialogue clarity and surround positioning? Do you normally use Dolby Atmos, LPCM, or another audio format?I’d also like to know whether the sound remains balanced at lower volumes. Any advice about TV eARC and passthrough settings would be appreciated.

I am trying to play classical music from SiriusXM and get the message that it can’t locate the server. I am using my Sonos speaker app. 

I have 2 samsung TVs in the same room.  I want the option of mirroring video content.  One TV has an Arc Ultra (with 300 surround x2 and sub 4) . When mirroring, I want sound to come from the Arc Ultra/home theatre set up.  How do I accomplish this?  I am a novice and would appreciate guidance. 

I’ve just seen on my Mac (running Tahoe 26.4.1) that the version of Sonos app I have on my computer will not open in future release of MacOS. Running Sonos S2 version 17.2. (the message directs me to an apple website to learn how to update to Apple Silicon version).I wondered if there will be a solution going forward or is this the end of the app for MacOS?  

I have a bedroom on the larger size. My bed sits against a wall with a slope above it. Opposite is a chair and ottoman, adjacent to that a chaise lounge. I like to listen both while in bed, and reading in bed, and would prefer stereo sound. I have two era 300, but am now rethinking. My options would be utilizing the two era 300’s, one by the bed, one across( doesn’t seem optimal) and either two era 100’s beside the bed or opposite, or four, two beside, and two opposite. I love even just the single era 300 I have, but two I think is overkill and won’t give me the stereo sound I’d like. Would love the communities thoughts!
