I’m looking for some advice on getting the best possible audio performance from a Sonos system.I’m particularly interested in recommended settings for improving sound quality, maintaining a stable connection, and reducing interruptions when streaming music. I’d also like to know whether network configuration, Wi-Fi performance, or speaker placement can make a noticeable difference.For those who have used Sonos systems for a while, what settings or troubleshooting steps have made the biggest difference to your overall listening experience?Any practical tips or recommendations would be appreciated.

Hello, new to the forums. Pardons if necessary. I hope this question finds the right mind :)I’m attempting to setup a root page in an app under development and I’d like to use Grid (or Grids?).I’ve managed to setup a list for the root page. It’s plain and simple.But I’ve tried setting up a root to mimic how Spotify and Tunein show their items.If possible, my guess is the data structured in soap to serve the root page is not correct. Can I be pointed in the right direction? Maybe even an example or two? Or some explanations how one might accomplish this? Thanks in advance! Enjoying a speaker I got and the work for an app.  

On my Plex Server, I have two Smart Collections (a.k.a Playlists), each having approximately 1500 tracks. These are easily browsable in the the Sonos app, but no tracks can be played from these Collections. The same tracks can be played if you navigate to the correct Album and play them from a shorter list. I guess the Sonos players are failing on the length of the queue, since all the tracks in the Collection are added to the queue…?Do the players have a limit to the number of tracks they can handle being added to the queue?

Hi!I own 2 Sonos 1 gen 2 since many years ago and I’ve recently been contemplating to buy 1 or 2 more speakers. But after digging around it seems Sonos 1 is no longer produced. If I buy for example era 100 will it give significantly different quality of sound that it will spoil the vibes when the speakers on or do you believe that it’s okey to mix and match different gen of speakers?

I have an Era 300 and a Roam Gen 1. The Era 300 doesn’t get used much any longer to its full capacity so am thinking of trading both in for a new Play.I did once have a Move but was too powerful for our small-ish garden.Any thoughts/comments welcome 😀

Hello,When we first started setting up a service that we test locally, we used to get exceptions for not handling getLastUpdate. I put in a token regenerator so the token was always rolled. The threshold was 60 seconds. The point was for our development environments to always refresh data. But when moved to production this would obviously not be the case.For some reason now, the getLastUpdate is not being received. I checked my sandbox, value is still 60, did a refresh of the ics (refresh+send), but it looks like I am not receiving this call.Is there something that could have been done that causes sonos not to poll the sandbox service?

Why do my two moves fail time and time.again to work?  So I hold the button for five.seconds to turn it off.  Yet when I go to use it a week later the battery is half or more drained. When I try to set up Bluetooth in the  right sun it's impossible to see the blue led, but more frustrating is it's failure to be recognized as a device when trying to play music. Maybe the new moves have solved these problems but I don't think I'd risk that they have. No new moves for me.  Between the battery losing charge and the connection issues I'm done with this part of the Sonos system. 

The adjustment shortcut is missing sub. I still need to go to the room settings and jump between EQ and SUB level. 

I've been a Sonos customer for over 14 years, and I feel compelled to share my experience with the Sonos app, because frankly, it continues to be one of the most frustrating pieces of software I use on a regular basis.Let me start by saying that I love the hardware. Sonos speakers sound fantastic, are reliable, and look great. If someone asks me whether Sonos makes excellent speakers, my answer is absolutely yes.The problem is the app (old or new).Simple tasks that should take seconds often turn into exercises in patience. Switching between audio sources feels unnecessarily complicated and far from intuitive. Grouping and ungrouping speakers works inconsistently, and when it doesn't behave as expected, figuring out why can become a troubleshooting session of its own. I’m thinking about upgrading my old Play:1 speakers that I’m using for surround sound on our entertainment center.  I’m considering ERA 100 and ERA 300.  Be interested in anyone’s experience with such an upgrade to either product.

Just bought a beam 2, I’m curious as to what others have found works best in terms of the height channel settings for Dolby Atmos? I know it will be subjective based on individual space (ceiling height etc) but keen to hear what others more experienced than me have found is a good place to start, also does the height setting matter if playing non dolby atmos content? I can't say I’ve heard a difference?

As of today I am bang up to date with all updates. My issue is playing Spotify through Sonos I cannot delete the track that I have played. I used to be able to delete the queue but can’t find it anymore?

I have multiple users on my system. Sonos says to log in to get the full experience.   Does another user need to set up their own account then log in on the app which is connected to my system or do the need to use my login credentials?

Has anyone fiddled with the Apple Shortcuts automations for Sonos?  I created an automation to play every Sonos Room.  I know I could have just said “Hey Sonos. Play Everywhere”, but using that option plays the Rooms at whatever volume they were last set at.  The beauty using the Apple Shortcuts app is you can preset a volume for each room.  Unfortunately when I looked at what music can be played the choices were only radio stations in the Favorites list.  Has anyone been able to access Sonos Playlists as well as Radio stations?

Hi All, I am currently in the middle of an extension build, the end result will be open plan dining, then kitchen and an additional seating area at the end, this space is roughly 4.8m x 11m, 3m ceilings... I would like to incorporate speakers for music, and then TV/Movies and PS5 around the seating area. I like the sonos for simplicity and expanding at some point into the garden for summer BBQs.I was thinking either 1) Arc Ultra alone OR 2) Beam2, a sub mini and 2 x ERA 100s on the back wall (either side of the art on the picture) at the tv area, and a ERA 100 at the other end between the dining and kitchen for filling the area when only listening to music.We are at a point of electrics in the build, now I am thinking do I need 2 x 100s wall mounted at either side of the sofa for rear surround? My concern is that I obviously don't have the room to sit them behind the seating area, so will they be too much 'in your ear' for surround sound AND also if your lazying on the sofa listening t

Hi allSearched and found closed topics.Wanted to find out whether the issue of setting an alarm and not being able to add a Group has been fixed? So I set an alarm with a station, choose a speaker (eg my Move stereo pair) and choose “Include Grouped Rooms” but it fails to also then play on my Beam which is part of this Group under “Groups”. If I set two alarms they are out of sync. Any advice? thanks

Hey,just one quick wish: As it would be good for battery health - it would be nice if you can limit the maximum charging capacy of move/roam/play to 80% or 90% on demand by adding a switch under options. Thank you!

Hi again In general I like the user interface in the app and I also like the changes now in july.  One thing with the GUI i don't like so much is the display og speaker groups in form in the "player". It's today as "buttons" on a single line on top of the speakers. Even though I initially made 8-10 groups I rarely use them as scrolling to get the wanted group isn't natural use for me. I would like the groups listed somehow - then will selecting a group be easier and more on intiuition. I don't have a clear solution how to improve it. It can be a list above/below speakers, it can be a tan for groups and a tab for speakers. Probably other better solutions - just look into how groups can be displayd best way 🙂Thank you in advance Amund 

I currently have an amplified turntable that Is connected to a PORT only so I can listen to my LPs through my SONOS speakers I am upgrading my turntable to a non-amplified version. If I upgrade the PORT to an AMP will that still take the input from the Turntable and play through my existing SONOS Speakers?

HiI would realy like a function to restart one/all speakers. I experience doing that help sometimes to avoid hang/unstability, but with 10 units it's not something i like to do manually… A function in app to restart selected or all units would be verry helpfull.  Amund 

HiI have been using Sonos system for about a year. We have 8 speakers, 2 beams and are generally verry satisfied with the system 🙂 But I have some wishes for improvements regarding Tidal integration that is the music supplied I mostly use.  In Tidal app:The integration should be improved for better stability. I understand that this isn't something you can do by your own, but I guess focus from you on it can bring it forward.  I have tried to report it detaily to Tidal but it have'nt been improved so far.I experience that in example changing speaker after starting to play stops it all. Then need to stop Tidal app to get it work again. Adding songs isn't fetched, change order of songs is not fetched and so on. In short: The stability needs to be improved.Tidal in Sonos app:I have been primarily using the Tidal app to play music since I like some features there. But I til stability is improved I will try to use the built in Tidal In Sonos app. There I have this wishes for improvement: -

Hello!  I am trying to understand why the middle speaker isn’t “working” when used as rear with Arc Ultra.  I almost feel like I don’t hear my rear. I understand that the “Atmos” is working because the side speakers work. But is it ment that the middle speaker shouldn’t work as rear speakers?
