2 Big Ideas that need to be added to Sonos App

IDEA 1:

For a home theatre setup I have an Arc Ultra, Era 300s as surrounds and a Sub Gen 3 I was thinking about how Night mode could be improved in a way to make the sound closer to you adding a feature where you can send the sound only to your surround speakers as I use Night mode at low Volume it’s hard to hear so I reckon if some how you can transmit the audio just to your surrounds as they sit closer to you then the soundbar, to me it just makes sense to have a feature like that.

 

IDEA 2:

i tend to adjust EQ,Surround,Sub,Height levels a lot when going from watching movies/TV shows to then listening to music I hope I’m not the only one doing that 😂. I was thinking why should we keep having to change it constantly. I reckon it would be beneficial if we can add different presets and customise and save them so then you could just click a preset for movies and then just change the preset to Music and atleast have a few presets there as you might need it for a few different genres.

 

If these Ideas are good please Sonos add this in an upcoming update or something

Idea 1 :   the ace headphones work great when you don't want to bother anyone in your house hold 

 

Idea 2 :   I use to do that too but now I just set it and forget it. for me it s too much work sound is still good. 

But I respect your ideas and keep sending them to Sonos who knows they may change .

    Thanks man yeah I have the Sonos Aces use them quite often if at night time mainly talking about for me i just use night mode for when I’m in bed like watching a show to dose off to.

    The suggest for #1 by ​@Stan radical is great. 

    As far #2 I’ve never been a fan of using the Arc for music. It’s designed for (IMO) movies first and music as a tag alone. I use my Five’s, Era 300’s and Era 100’s for music. FYI, the Era speakers are dedicated stereo pairs and not surrounds.

    Having settings that apply to each source and type would be great. Even better if the proper set was selected automatically.

    Example: My Amazon music sends either HD or Atmos depending on what they have available. Sometimes it changes with every track, that makes  manual switching impractical.

    Same for the TV, auto switching between stereo, 5.1 and Atmos would sure be nicer than manually tweaking.

      Fives are the Sonos flagship product for stereo listening. IMO the Fives as a stereo pair are better for Hip Hop as the low-end is better out of the box vs the Era 300’s. RnB would be close. That said I still have a Sub 3 bonded to my Fives. If you can do an A/B test at a retailer with an audition room of the Fives vs Era 300’s as my opinion may not be yours 😊
