I just got my Beam Gen2, and I connect it to my TV with HDMI (eARC) Port.My Xbox series X is connecting to another HDMI port on my TV.But I found that my Xbox not recognize any dolby atoms device, I did some research online, the above connection method should be able to do the bypass.See if anyone have this experience about it. Thanks
I was playing on my Xbox when the arc suddenly made an extremely loud pop sound and then lost audio completely. The app wouldn’t let me adjust the volume and Alexa wake up didn’t emit its usual tone. I had to remove the power from the arc and reapply which resumed the audio. I’m concerned that one of the speakers in the arc may have been damaged when this happened. Has anyone had this issue? We have had no issues with the arc since purchasing it earlier this year.
I’ve got several Sonos systems in my house and have used the products since they first came out so a big Sonos fan but have an issue that has me stumped. One of the systems consists of a 2 Play 1’s and a Sub (gen 2) that I was using with a Beam for the TV surround set up. I swapped out an old Bridge for one of the new Ports and got a new little sub to go with two Ones and all good but then I went to watch TV and the Play 1/Sub/Beam wasn’t working and in fact only played the Beam. After trying a few things with no luck, I decided to do a factory reset on the surround set up and start from scratch. I’ve tried it 4 or 5 times now (no luck but the same problem occurs every time) so figured it’s time to get some expert advice. The issue appears to be the Beam not being able to exist on the same network as the other devices. It creates a separate room (TV Room 2 instead of TV Room) every time I do a reset and walk through the different connection steps. I used the TV Room as an example but b
I am trying to connect my new Sonos one with limited success. I have the new sonos app and have followed the instructions to setting up my speaker countless times, but run into roadblocks when it can’t find my system or connect to my wife, even after my phone hears the chimes it plays but then my app cannot find the system. I have rebooted, company reseted and reseted the app multiple times as well but can’t make any progress.
About 3 months ago, Xfinity upgraded my DVR to their 4K Cloud box. Since then, I’ve had lip sync issues on my Beam Gen 1. I have been using eArc on my 2020 Sony Android TV. Content from the TV Apps does not have the lip sync problem. So it’s definitely a sourcing issue (I think).I use the Xfinity box for almost all content. I wrote to HDFury, with my specs and they claim the Arcana will fix this. Then I just have to learn how to adjust the volume with the remote, since the Beam won’t be talking directly to the TV eArc CEC., as I understand it.I read that the Beam Gen 2 has a faster processor, but if my eArc is not sending the signal fast enough, I’m not sure how that could help.If given a choice between upgrading the Beam Gen 2 or buying the Arcana, which is the choice to solve the problem? BTW, I have two Ones for Surround.
Hi Team! I rented a Sonos Five for a few months on Grover and was very happy with it.Now I purchased my own device and I ran into the following problem which is quite detrimental to the experience. This applies to the Spotify Listening, which I always use via the Spotify App on my Android Phone. Before, I could always control the volume from wherever I am.Now I cannot control the volume unless I am currently in the Spotify or Sonos app.If I change the volume when the phone is locked or I am outside the Spotify or Sonos app, it just controls the phone ringtone volume. So every time I have to adjust the volume, i need to unlock the phone, open one of the 2 apps, and control the volume. this does take up a lot of time because i need to adjust the volume very frequently. I already adjusted the settings as shown in the following articles Control Sonos volume with a mobile device’s hardware buttonsControl Sonos from the Android lock screen Any clue on how to fix this?
I just wanted to check if there was any positioning recommendations for these speakers. The manual recommends 8-10 feet apart, with a listening position 8-10 feet away. The manual also says - The SYMFONISK is designed to work well even when placed next to a wall or other surface. I have bought the IKEA adjustable wall brackets and was thinking of installing them above a double sliding door with the speakers horizontally mounted (8-10 feet apart) 2 feet from the ceiling, pointing down to my listening position which is 8-10 feet away. The left speaker would be close to the left hand wall (6-8 inches).
I see this problem has been reported for over a year and no fixes still. I can’t even listen to Atmos music on my appletv or use it to play atmos movies because of the super loud pop and shutdown. This has been a know issue since back in 2021. I read no fixes at all on the forum. Just tried to listen to a new Atmos Remastered album and it sounded like my Arc blow up then shut down. On top of that I’ve never heard a single sound come out of the top firing speakers on it using atmos on any other app that plays atmos. At this point I’m unsure if the Arc even plays atmos content at all.
Hi all , newbie to Sonos, I’ve finally added two one sl’s to my beam gen 2 for a home cinema set up , now, I don’t really want surround sound while simply watching football or tv which is what’s happening now, is there a simple way of just having my beam on for general tv with no speaker sound?? And press of a button for say watching a movie to put cinema sound back on??? Also the stereo pair if I just want to listen to music through my speakers only??? Do I have to keep going on the app and change all the settings??? I can’t even find how to stop cinema pairing ??
I set up new S1 system with a ZP90 that I had at my lake cabin. The controller gives the message “Bridge needs an update”. When I attempt to update, it fails immediately. I will add that the controller says (unused) next to it on the app. However, my system is basically functioning from the mobile apps. It will not function from the PC app. I cannot use the bridge to add a product. I have to connect another component to the router to add to the system. I also am unable to register any products as long as the bridge requires an update. How can I get the bridge to update so I can get full system functionality?Bridge ZP90 Sonos One (Gen2)
I’m considering replacing my Bose Lifestyle 650 with an Arc Surround Set. I’m looking to take advantage of Atmos, Sonos streaming and improved connectivity with my LG C2.I already have a pair of Ones and a Gen 3 Sub.Has anyone made this move from the LS650 and can you share your experience? Was there a noticeable difference in the listening experience? Any regrets (besides the cost)?thanks!
I have 5 Sonos devices, AMP, 2xPlay3, Playbar & Sub that all are on Sonosnet via a Boost. The boost is the only Sonos device connected to my wired managed switch (Juniper EX2200). All Sonos devices have static IP’s (reserved in DHCP).The switch has several VLANS but runs in L2 mode. These are the relevant ones for connectivity;192.168.1.x/24 - Wired Network192.168.4.x/24 - Wireless NetworkI have several other networks configured on my OPNsense firewall that connects to the switch. It acts as the router for the network and has a plugin to allow multicast called UDP broadcast relay. This currently bridges multicast on ports 1900, 5353 and 6969 and IPs 188.8.131.52 & 184.108.40.206Firewall rules:Allow UDP on 6969 from Wifi to Sonos IPs and vice versa, also from Sonos IPs to 255.255.255.255Allow UDP SSDP/1900 from Sonos IPs to anywhere, also anywhere to 220.127.116.11Allow UDP mDNS/5353 from Sonos IPs to 18.104.22.168, also Wifi to 22.214.171.124Allow UDP SSDP/1900 from both Wifi and W
I recently connected my att finer optic wifi to an eero pro 6 mesh network. I've turned off the wifi from the att router and connected my boost directly to the eero. When I open the sonos app, it no longer shows any of my system. All I see is the boost, a single five, and a single one. I'm missing my beam, arc, two subs, two on sl's, and another five. I've rebooted the router, tried unplugging amd restarting the speakers and I still get nothing. Is there any way to fix this or do I need to get rid of the mesh network? I worked beautifully prior to this.
