Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

One of my Era300 speakers has started making a repetitive, but random rhythm, drumming sound. Whether I am playing music or not. Once I turn it on and off, it stops for a while and then restarts. Anyone else have the same issue? It’s only the left one that does this. 

I’m a very satisfied user of Sonos, having a surround system with a Beam and two Era 100, plus two other Era 100 in other rooms. BUT… there is one thing that annoys me very much with the TV surround setting. There is no way to choose for a setting where the sound would come out in the same way from all the speakers. This means that when you look at TV shows, sometimes the sound comes only out of the front center Beam speaker when there is mainly speech, and then all of a sudden there is some background music in the show and then only it comes out of the rear Era speakers. Even worse when I listen to a music concert on TV, the speech (singing) comes only from the front center speaker (with some music) and only music is coming out of the rear speakers. Sorry but for me this is very disturbing and not at all the right music experience. So my simple question is to Sonos: just foresee a setting for TV sound where the sound comes out of all speakers unprocessed or unfiltered in the same way

Sometime ago, I asked for people to recommend a music player for my Sonos speakers. I was looking for something to rip my CD collection to that was easy to use and navigate. That thread got closed, but I thought I would provide an update.  My initial attempt was a Brennen Helix, but I just never got on with it. The 2nd suggestion was to build your own NAS with a Raspberry Pi. I was not keen, because I wanted something a little more presentable than a collection of devices. Also, I wanted my wife to have full access, so easy to use was a high priorityHowever, with no obvious commercial device out there (or at least one which I could guarantee SONOS  connectivity, I bowed to the inevitable and bought another Pi. However, in this case it was in the form of a Waveshare CM4 box, which I could fit tow 512 GB SSD’s.  These I have in a RSYNC so have a backup (RAID would be overkill, since it rarely changes), and use SMB to connect with. Why is there no Android widget support? When will this be rectified? I assumed I'd done something wrong or that there was some obscure issue with the Fold 7. I'm astounded after coming here and reading multiple year old threads that widget support had disappeared, this is frankly unforgivable for a media streaming product.

Hi have two One SL speakers with an Arc all connected up. Of late when using Spotify through Sonos I noticed both speakers dropping out at exactly 15 minutes then coming back on 5 minutes later then dropping out again no sound then restoring. Up to now I have had no issues with the sound systems or set up any ideas. 

I just bought a Sonos Arc refurb for a good price and it has not shipped yet...the Arc is a little bit "old" now haha. Anything I might be missing out on? I just use my TV with an nvidia Shield Pro and will use the Arc with the eARC port on my TV. Nothing too fancy in terms of use, just a PLEX library and some streaming services.Also I see that only Apple iOS is supported for their room configurations. I do not use Apple products. Am I missing out much by not being able to set up the speakers and map the room so to speak with an iOS device?I am using a 65” LG G5 OLED. Bedroom setup, I opted to not get the subwoofer.Thanks :)

If I add a 2nd ERA 100 and pair it in stereo, does the volume slider button on top of the 1st speaker adjust the volume accordingly on the other speaker?  I frequently adjust volume up or down while listening to music, and I don’t want to use the app every time.  I really hope I wouldn’t have to individually adjust volume on both speakers constantly, or that would be a deal breaker.  I’m ready to pull the trigger on the 2nd speaker but need to clarify this 1st.  Thanks.

Noticed that when using tv audio swap the Dolby Atmos music is compressed greatly. Will there be an update to maybe like; uncompress it I guess

Hello all, I hope someone can help me.I noticed the other day that a few albums in my library had suddenly split into multiple albums. At first I thought there may have been an update that had changed the way certain albums were tagged. I did some rudimentary checks on the album tags (I use Tag & Rename) but couldn't see any issues. However on further examination I noticed that the multiple of the albums had the same track in them see images below.Multiple of one album.Only one track (The same track) showing in both albumsYou can see that a look into the folder for this album shows 11 tracks. View into the folder for albumDoing a re-scan of the library does not fix the issue. But I have found that by adding a new album to my library fixes the issue after a re-scan. However I have noticed that adding a new album can correct one problem but then suddenly another suddenly is inflicted with the same issue.So I am very confused as why adding one album can suddenly cause this issue with

I'm using Apple Music with a Sonos setup consisting of Arc + Sub + two Era 300 speakers.When I play the following album, playback consistently halts mid-track, and the Sonos system becomes completely unresponsive—as if it's frozen. I have 4 x Play:1s and am getting fed up with the workarounds I have to use to play my own music. I know Play:1 isn;t compatible with Airplay per se, but I thought there might be a way of getting to work if I add a 5th, more recent Sonos device to the group. Is this is true, and iso, could somebody advise on the cheapest/easiest way of doing this? Thank you

I have the beam soundbar connected via HDMI (eARC), with a Sub Mini connected wirelessly to the beam.   Each time I turn the tv off, the sub disconnects from the Beam.  I have to unplug the Beam, then power it back on - the sub reconnects.  Any suggestions to keep the Sub Mini connected to the Beam?

Problem:Almost daily, my surrounds/sub all disconnect from the Arc Ultra and stop playing sound (thought he Arc continues working as expected). When this occurs, the app shows "Needs attention" for the Arc Ultra. Power cycling the Arc Ultra immediately resolves the problem for 24-48 hours.Setup: Soundbar: Arc Ultra (connected via Wi-fi) Surrounds: 2x Symfonisk Bookshelf Gen 2 surrounds Sub: Sub Mini Routers: Asus AX86U Pro + AX58U AiMesh Node Other Sonos speakers in the house use SonosNet via a single Symfonisk lamp that is wired to the router (does SonosNet play any part for the surrounds/sub in this setup?) I have a small LR, 11’x23’. Which soundbar is better suited for my small room, Beam or Arc Ultra?Also, I don’t have room for 300’s would Era 100’s (or older One’s) do for the surrounds --considering they don’t have Dolby Atmos? Thank you

I have a Sonos Arc connected to a Sony TV and using a AppleTV OS and Apple remote. The problem I am experiencing is that the AppleTV remote does not connect to the Arc automatically. After unchecking from the TV speakers and checking only the Arc I am able to change the volume of the Arc. I want it so that I don’t use the TV speakers at all and to have the Apple Remote change the volume on the Sonos. more info: my TV is connected to the Arc via the optical chord on the eARC port on the TV.The remote and the TV connects automatically to the TV speakers not to the Sonos when the TV turns on and off
