UPnP not working with converted files

So, after this app debacle I’m on the hunt for technical solutions.The one that I found is that I use Symfonium ( https://symfonium.app ) and oh great it supports UPnP ! I can play my files in the FLAC format (16bit/44.1 kHz) without problems !But my music provider converts to OPUS 128kb/s for my smartphone because when I’m on the road… Roaming gets quickly expensive. I then get 48.0 kHz files that are then sent via UPnP to Sonos, just like FLAC.According to https://docs.sonos.com/docs/supported-audio-formats, 48 kHz is supported for Opus. But it doesn’t work. Bummer.But fear not I got one last card up my sleeve and it’s to transcode to MP3. So I’m trying MP3 320kb/s, in 44.1 kHz which again is supposed to work and… well, it doesn’t work.I

Sonos Roam Orange Light

I have 2 sonos Roam speakers. One of which will not connect. I have not used this one for several months. All I get when placed on charger is the orange light but this goes out for after a couple of minutes then nothing. I’ve tried a different charger same thing.

For more information and steps to try, please see this support article: Error 1000 when updating Sonos Hi, I wanted to add the last element to my Sonos set (SUB + 2x Era 300), - Arc. I get to the point of updating the software and I get "Error: 1000". And so on. I've already tried factory reset and moving closer to the router. It's always the same. Maybe you have some ideas or similar experiences?

After this my new Roam was seen in my system but its state was “Not registered”. sonos connect flashing red light

Hi. My sonos connect disappeared from my system according to my phone app. Multiple attempts to find it/reconnect were unsuccessful. I tried turning it off and on again. That didn’t solve anything. I tried resetting it. That was a mistake! Now, I just have a flashing red light. I called support and they said “it’s a known issue” “we are working on it” “a fix will be rolled out soon.” That seems unlikely considering the connect is so old (how long has this been a known issue)? Any ideas on how I can get my connect working again?

Play5 Gen.1 high temperature ( 55 degrease) on Capacitors

Hello all,i just brought my Sonos back to life.i replaced as well several capacitors on the board.my concerns are about the 5 (820uF 35 V) caps.i replaced them all , but in normal use, or Even in standby they reach temperatures around 55 degrease.is this a normal situation or is there still some fault ? what do you think? happy to get some feedback from you all :-)

Spotify Stops Working, Sonos Hijacks and Keeps Spotify Connection, Won't Allow Other Bluetooth

I’ve been using Sonos for about five years now. Unfortunately, I had to delete the app this morning to get my Spotify to work with my other bluetooth devices like headphones and my Wiim Player.This worked. But now, I don’t want to sign into my Sonos again. It constantly hijacks the connection and doesn’t let go.This has been happening for over a year. My WiiM player never does anything like this. I guess I’ll be sticking with WiiM, until I find an answer. It takes way too long to keep deleting the Sonos app and reinstalling. My friends are having issues with simplicity too. I’m starting to regret recommending Sonos to friends.

Initial glitches via AirPlay

Hello,I’m having a strange issue with my Sonos Move 2 and Roam. Whenever I turn on the speaker(s) and connect via AirPlay, my music always stutters.However, if I play a song for about a minute via Spotify Connect and then switch to AirPlay, everything works fine.I experience this issue regardless of which iPhone, iPad, or Mac I use.The speakers are, of course, up to date, just like my Apple devices.

Why does the sonos app keep dropping one of my connects so I can't see it i the app, even though I can see it in Spotify connect and play music to it?Any ideas to save me from resetting it all the time and connecting it as a new device? Im an android user.Thanks Sonos Community

Sonos Amp becomes unreachable on UniFi after some time (no ping / no ARP, link still up)

Hi everyone,I’m running into a recurring issue with my Sonos Amp in a UniFi network and wanted to check if anyone has seen something similar or has a working setup with current UniFi firmware.Setup: Sonos Amp Ubiquiti UniFi network system (UDM Pro + switches) Amp connected via Ethernet (also tested via WiFi) Flat network during testing (no VLAN separation) Problem:After a reboot, the Amp works fine. I have just purchased Panasonic DP-UB9000 Region Free Blu-ray Player . When I try to play a 4k movie I get zero sound. The streaming apps all have sound. DVDs also have sound. 4ks zip.

Move 2 Bluetooth

My Move won't enter Bluetooth pairing mode when I press the Bluetooth button on rear. I do hear the tone, but no blinking blue light and it doesn't show in my available devices list. It worked fine until I added eeros wifi ext devices to my existing system. I also have 2 Arcs & 2 Subs, connected to same network, working fine. Any ideas? Thx! Steve

Youtube Music - skipping to next some minutes into each track

When I play long DJ sets from Youtube Music, it always skips to next after a while (typically 10-20 minutes into the track). I have tried removing YT from Sonos services and adding it back in (this trick usually works with Soundcloud), but the issue persists. Any ideas?

I have two level house. Downstairs are two groups of wall speakers linked to Wiin Amps that I control via Google home group them in this. I am now looking to install Sonos wall speakers upstairs link to the Sonos Amp and Sonos Arc for the TV areas (plus subwoofer in time). Do you know if I will be able to group them all (upstairs and downstairs) via google home system so music plays and can be controlled simultaneously?Thanks

Play:1 speakers in surround system cannot control volume

I have a surround sound system of a PlayBar, Sub and two Play:1 speakers for TV and streaming. Since the last update I’ve had some issues.When trying to mute the sound or change the volume via the buttons on the Play:1s, the green light comes on then goes out and nothing happens. If I restart the speakers, they will work for a short while and then fail again. They are performing normally otherwise and are visible in the app as part of the system.I just remembered another issue. When I restart my Mac, the Sonos app can’t find the speakers until I go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network and flip the Sonos switch off and on. I know this is a known issue as I found the answer here when it first happened. I don’t know if that is an Apple or Sonos responsibility.Finally, just to say that when logging in here, there was an error message I didn’t record (sorry) but a page refresh let me in. I can't use YouTube Music in my Sonos app. Nothing shows up in the app, totally blank. I've installed the app multiple times, relinked my accounts, restarted the router and so on. Searched the forums and web, no answer. Am I doomed here?

HiI have Sonos since around 2017. Since two weeks I have a new computer with Windows 11 and now I am unable to use the Sonos Music Library on the Windows App (Sonos Controller for PC). Error messages:Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Please check that the path to the folder, and the username and password if needed, are correct.
