Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Just bought a pair of new Eras 100 from COSTCO Canada.  The bluetooth streaming from my phone works just fine.  No luck with the NAS ...My NAS pathname entered into the app is as follows (in the add music folder section):\\192.168.xxx.xxx\Where “xxx” are 1 to 3 numeric digits of the remainder of the full path - it is an IP address of which it is identical on my MacBook and Windwos PCs.After entering my user ID and password, It won’t let me click/tap done on the screen?  There is no error message.Am I missing something obvious?Background: My iPhone is running iOS 26.3; I have a 2024 Macbook Pro with an M4Pro cpu; My NAS is Asus6702T-A613 (18TB, RAID1) using ADM version 5.1.3 and SMB3 highest and SMB2 lowest.

I’m at my wits end trying to find a set up that doesn’t just trade one issue for another.I have the following sonos speakers: 2 Era 100, 1 Sonos:One, and 1 Roam.Starting summer 2025, i started having issues where speakers would show on the sonos app, but i could not play on them either via airplay or the app. they’d show, but there would be no volume control either. It particularly affected the two Eras, then the Roam, and eventually started impacting the One as well.On advice from Sonos, i bought a wireless extender/access point (TP Link RE315) to give the speakers a fixed access point. it was originally set up in extender mode, so had its own SSID (wifi-ext). To be able to airplay between devices without constant SSID (wifi and wifi-ext) switching on my phone and ipad, most things were moved to the new SSID (wifi-ext). this solved the issue, but started experiencing streaming issues on appletv due to fact the wifi speeds wer

We moved and i configured the two sonos moves [version 1) with no issues. My move version 2 doesn't respond 

I have changed nothing, have always been able to control volume on arc ultra through my nvidia shield remote and tv remote now after update i can only adjust it from the app when I use the other remotes I get the white light like usual on the soundbar but nothing changes, I hope this bug or issue gets solved quickly as it's annoying to go into the app everytime especially when youtube has a different volume than everything else and I have to adjust a lot

I am wanting to connect 3 Sonos speakers (2 x era 100 and 1 x era 300) to my iPhone to play music for a party. the wireless signal in my house isn’t great and when the speakers are spread out in different rooms they constantly drop out. I am hoping that I can hard wire them to an iPhone to successfully play music for a party. Any idea what wires / adapters I would need to buy and how to connect them all together!? 

Hi guys. This isn’t a query regarding the arc ultra as such but I’m wondering if anyone is playing MKV files from Infuse Pro. I can get audio via airplay from my MacBook Pro to my Sony Bravia tv/arc ultra but it’s not Atmos. Video will not play at all. I’m obviously missing something (apart from the knowledge what to do) but it’s getting increasingly frustrating. Without getting too technical (as I won’t have a clue) has anyone had similar experiences and/or solutions. Many thanks. 

Will try to be as descriptive as possible without being confusing.  Need a little help and/or explanation.  In a vacation home I had 1 pair of Era 100, 1 pair of One SL, a Beam and mini sub.  I currently upgraded the vacation home to 1 pair of Fives, 1 pair of Era 300, the Arc Ultra and Gen 4 sub.  I kept the pairs of Era 100 and One SL in the vacation home and put them in 2 different rooms and have them set up and they are working.  I posted the question about speaker placement about a month ago but I haven’t had the chance to finish setting up everything else yet.  I ended up taking the Beam and the mini sub from the vacation home to my permanent home to use in the basement.  At my permanent home I use the Sonos S1 app while in the vacation home I use the Sonos app.  My question is, since the beam and mini sub were setup on the Sonos app can I set up them up for use in the basement on the Sonos app using my home network?  And by doing so will I screw up anything with on the Sonos

Hi, for the last 3 weeks or so Sonos is constantly dropping out and losing connection. Sometimes it skips through tracks, other times it just stops playing. I also can not connect to Sonos speakers via the Spotify app. This all worked before and we haven’t changed our internet setup. Is anyone else having this problem? What can I do to fix it? 

I have a Sony Bravia 8. At first my tv remote was syncing with the Sonos Arc Ultra, but now it is not.  

I bought a new tv, Samsung the Fram Pro 2025, and connected it to my Beam 2 using eARC. I also have a Connect:Amp in my system that connects my back speakers to the system plus a Sonos Mini sub. I can´t get Atmos whatever I play on the TV. In the Sonos app I only get Dolby Digital 5.1.  I use the HDMI-cable that came with the Beam 2 and it is connected to the eARC-port on the wireless one connect box.  I have tried Netflix with a Premium account, a Prime and a HBO account and no Atmos. Any ideas what I can do to get it to work?

I do not see upgrade credit for my Play:5 Gen 1. Is this not supposed or an error on my account?

Just for fun I made an almost lp size pixelated album art display that is Sonos compatible. Has several modes to alternate between art and title/artist views.

Hi, hopefully you can help me out here. I was able to connect my Arc, 2 Era 300s and the sub 3 in my network having 2.4ghz with WPA/WPA2 authentication as it is the bare minimum requirement. First step was connect my sub to a room, which is with my Arc. after connecting, it says that the Product is not connected. which is weird.I tried to setup the surround with my 2 Era speakers and Arc, still ended up with the same error message on both Era speakers. I have also added their IP & MAC adresses as dedicated devices under the DHCP list and still got the same error messages and result of not having all of them turned on.. except for the Arc itself.  Basically I did the LAN cable thing and yes it worked but I cannot affort to have my cable running across the floor as it was only a test. I rang up the support which they said its a DHCP issue, which I never had before after their upgrade of my sonos products recentl

I’m a very satisfied user of Sonos, having a surround system with a Beam and two Era 100, plus two other Era 100 in other rooms. BUT… there is one thing that annoys me very much with the TV surround setting. There is no way to choose for a setting where the sound would come out in the same way from all the speakers. This means that when you look at TV shows, sometimes the sound comes only out of the front center Beam speaker when there is mainly speech, and then all of a sudden there is some background music in the show and then only it comes out of the rear Era speakers. Even worse when I listen to a music concert on TV, the speech (singing) comes only from the front center speaker (with some music) and only music is coming out of the rear speakers. Sorry but for me this is very disturbing and not at all the right music experience. So my simple question is to Sonos: just foresee a setting for TV sound where the sound comes out of all speakers unprocessed or unfiltered in the same w

Hi!I owned a Arc + 2xEra 300 + Sub gen 3 setup and it was overwhelming on cinematic performance and average on music - I was missing the middle lows in music performance (which are very present on the demo sounds of sonos, so it's likely a DSP thing not hardware).As Arc Ultra promised better bass due to the new sound force technology, I made the upgrade and... well... I am not satisfied at all. Everything sounds the exact same as before. I did trueplay tuning (tried all three variants), EQ setup etc etc.I get even a little better performance turning the sub off in the mid los but then the deep subs are missing of course.I don't get why my SONOS system is performing so bad on mid-lows but only on music... All is perfect on movies... If sonos would only give us more control over music EQ :( That being said, I was asked by ​@Corry P to create a diagnostic. I created even three and made some trouble

Is there a reason that my music library indexing in my Sonos S1 is becoming unreliable?  A couple of months ago, I noticed that new additions to the library were not showing up after indexing.  The bug continues, as I just copied several albums to my NAS drive, indexed the volume, and could not find any of the new items when I searched on any of the criteria (Artist, Song, Composer, Folder, etc.). After a couple of restarts and several re-indexing attempts, some songs/albums appeared in my searches, but not all.  The songs were all from the same copying-over pass, they were all valid tunes from Apple Music, and they were all .m4a files.  Nothing different between them, but some showed up and some didn’t.  I have now restarted my Mac and rebooted the NAS drive again, and done another indexing pass, and, finally, all of my most recent music files appear in my search.So, the question is: why is this happening, and is this the new normal for “old” S1 systems using a NAS?

Hi allehat settings on the equaliser would you normally have?currently treble is +9 and bass -3 I know it’s personal preference but is there a rough guide for tv, music fiilms etc please 

Hoping I’m not the only one. Out of the blue a few days ago, when asking our Sonos 1 to play a song via Google assistant/youtube music, it now says “sorry I can’t do that on this device”. I’ve deleted,readded,reauthorized, rebooted, reinstalled (I’ve re-everythinged). No luck. Works fine on my iPhone via Siri.  Why don’t Sonos and Google play nice?

I have several ROAM and ERAs in my home system. One of my ROAM started playing at supper low volume. Maxing it out, either manually or through the app, it doesn't play at even half the volume as other ROAMs in my system. What could the issue be?

Hey all, I have 6 sonos speakers set up in my reception, but recently ive been having the issue of them unsyncing, and some speakers playing music whilst others arent. What can I do to fix this?

 I think it would be better if there was more space for a track name in the queue.  If the three lines used to move tracks were hidden until an Edit command ( added to the 3 dot menu ) was available.  That new Edit command would bring up the 3 lines that allow the moving of a track.  Another option would be a smaller font size for the track names. You can see in the screenshot of Nielsen symphonies where you cannot see what the symphony number is.  If the 3 lines were not there that symphony number might show.  Another issue with having the 3 lines always there is when I scroll on occasion I’ll accidentally move a track. 

A couple weeks ago after a firmware update, my Arc stopped communicating with the ERA100 surrounds. After a few days of hoping the problem would correct itself, no such luck. The error was “not connected’ for the surrounds. After trying several simple fixes (reboot, etc.) I ended up resetting the surrounds to factory. The Arc was working normally so I didn’t do anything to it.After a number of failures with the same result, I called tech (non)support.  Their analysis of the diagnostics was that the surrounds weren’t getting an ip address. We have a commercial grade infrastructure with a central dhcp server and multiple Aruba access points. The subnet is 255.255.0.0. The Arc is 10.11.190.x and the surrounds are 10.11.187.x, which are in the same subnet.The next step they want is a “complete network layout or network map. Hi everyone,I’ve been using an Era 100 with a Line-In connection for a while now, but over the last two months, the behavior has changed significantly and it’s becoming quite frustrating.The Issue: If there is no sound for a short period, the Era 100 seems to "disconnect" or go into a deep sleep mode. When I start playing music again, it takes about 10 seconds before any audio actually comes out of the speaker.Why this is strange: This was not happening two months ago. It used to be near-instant or at least much faster. I am using the official Sonos Line-In adapter.
