Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

hi i have a sonos move 2 6 months old but its never been able to charge via the base usb c is fine but not the base ive just bought a new power supply for it 45w 5v incase that was faulty i have an orange light come on for ten seconds then it goes off as it should but still no charge any help or advise please 

I noticed that when in the system name menu, clicking on SONOS at the top of the screen causes the system name to revert back to Your System. This does not happen when clicking the back button the top left corner. iOS 26.5 app version 85.0.31

I am trying to connect Sonos playbase for the first time and want it ot work wirelessly with Alexa. When we connect via ethernet I can play Amazon music on it . But when I disconnect the Ethernet it does not work .

I was wondering if there’s any update or new information regarding this feature request. It would be great to have this option again, as I use my iPad as a dedicated home music controller.Thanks! 

HiI have been trying for quite a while to update my Sonos Windows App on my Windows 11 device but just keeps on failing. I have submitted a diagnosticsIs anyone in the Sonos community able to help?In the app it doesnt show anything under error log either so I have got nothing to help my self troubleshoot myself. All updates are applied to my Win 11 machine. I can answer any other questions if it helps. Thanks Moderator Note: Recorded and removed diagnostics number. 

I bought my Sonos 2006, so it's most probably 1st gen. The main connector to the internet with an ethernet cable is a ZP100. Over the years, the  other ZP100, I think it is, with the small Sonos speaker upstairs stopped working.. The  remote control  that I bought with it stopped working too. Luckily an app was made, so the remote control (which costed a lot of money, was made redundant anyway). Left with the ZP100 downstairs and a non Sonos speaker, it worked for years. Then I added a PLAY 5 to the mix for the kitchen. All these kept working for many years, and then life happened - no time for listening to music THAT WAY. About 5 months ago, I had a guest and put the kitchen one on. We had a good time, listened to old school music.  The very next day, to continue the vibe, I put my Sonos on and to this day, I can't get them to work! Was a code sent to brick the older ones once they come online? There's no reason the systems shouldn't work. I just want to register my unhappiness. I'

I am trying to play my Sonos speaker but app continuously says I need to log in to update my connection. Even tho I am logged in

For some unknown reason when I clicked on my fave ABC radio station this morning Sonos wouldn’t play it. It’s playing Spotify no problem. Help! 

HiI have Sonos since around 2017. Since two weeks I have a new computer with Windows 11 and now I am unable to use the Sonos Music Library on the Windows App (Sonos Controller for PC). Error messages:Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Please check that the path to the folder, and the username and password if needed, are correct. Hi all.I have a Sonos ZP90 zone player that works fine in our bar - outhouse, also linked play5 1st generation that I use sometimes outside in summer months.The ZP90 works fine in the bar, but when the Play5 is connected, it also works fine and audio is stable, but then the ZP90 in the bar starts cracking up – intermittent – hiccup sound like a lose wire like on a microphone eg, the play 5 outside (only 6 meters away from the ZP90) works perfectly and audio is stable with no issues.The Zone player ZP90 is connected to the routed via ethernet cable, the Play 5 is working via wifi.This problem occurs both from my laptop and also same thing from my iPhone.I wondered if anyone could suggest a reason for this, or a solution to this issue as it is now doing my head in!

Hi, I was considering the SONOS stands for the era 300 pair. However My ceiling is 10ft. Are these stands too tall? I currently have one sitting on a low surface and it sounds amazing. Getting a second.  Also it was recommended in their instructions to put it 8-10ft a part. I was originally hoping 4.5 ft guess this will be too short. Any advice? Should I go for the regular stands. Will I still have good immersion from Atmos Music?

I saw a notice on my Apple Laptop that Sonos will no longer run on Apple silicon.  If this is the case, how will I get this needed update?  Will Sonos push it, or will I have to go to a site and pull it? I expected a more proactive response from Sonos.  Thanks.

I have a new issue with a stereo pair of Sonos One SL speakers. Recently, green status lights have come on even they are toggled off in the app. They come on and stay on when sleep timer ends.  Toggling them on and off did not help. Power cyclubf did not help.  I talked with support and there was an update available. I ran it and then, maybe five minutes later.   The tech said if the issue persists to do a factory reset, which I thought Sonos no longer recommended.Then I put on music, set sleep timer, and green status lights came back on.  This seems like an update caused a problem. Anyone else having this problem? BR

I use a Sonos One stereo pair in the bedroom and frequently use Sleep Timer.After recent updates, when Sleep Timer finishes and playback fades out to zero, both speakers show a solid green LED during the night.Important behavior:If I manually pause playback → no green LED appearsIf Sleep Timer ends playback → green LEDs appearSpeakers remain fully online and functionalNo need to restart or reset devicesThis did not happen previously and seems like a change in behavior after recent Sonos app/firmware updates.Since this occurs in a bedroom use case, the LEDs are disruptive at night.I suspect Sleep Timer end-state is now treated as mute/idle, triggering the green LED.Can this behavior be confirmed or reviewed?

On one of the albums in my library, one channel disappears when the album is played on a Sonos speaker. I know that a single Sonos speaker is monoaural, but it sounds like there is no right speaker. The guitar is missing; there is only bass and drums. Other albums sound just fine on these speakers.This does not happen on the original CD played on a CD player or with an iPod, or on the desktop PC where my music library is stored, which uses iTunes. It does not happen on my Mac laptop, which uses the Apple Music app. And it does not happen on my iPhone. It only happens on my Sonos speakers. I have four different Sonos models for different rooms, and they all have this problem, but I have been testing mainly on a Roam.I spoke to a Sonos AI assistant for more than 25 minutes. She suggested that I try playing the album from the Apple Music app instead of from my library. It is perfectly normal on my iPhone, but it has the same problem when played through the Roam speaker.

Hi everyone,I’m trying to decide between the Era 100s and Era 300s for my theater room to pair with a Arc Ultra and likely a sub under my sectional, was hoping to get some feedback on my setup.As the attached image shows, the TV is across from the longer side of the sectional, and there are two windows directly behind the couch. The picture doesn’t really show it, but the windows are recessed about 10 inches. The black boxes behind the sectional on the window sill at ear level are where I’d ideally like to place the speakers.My thought was to use the window sills since there’s enough room for either setup. The speakers would have roughly 2–4 inches of space behind them, about 10 inches on each side if I went with the Era 300s (and even more space with the Era 100s), plus plenty of room above them. The sill height lines up almost perfectly with ear level, and the sectional sits directly against the wall.Given this layout, do you think the Era 100s or Era 3

Hello people,Thought I’d chime in with my recent experience after buying a second-hand Play:5 (Gen 1).For context, I’m running a full S2 system: Living Room: Arc Ultra, Sub (Gen 3), and 2x Era 100s Bedroom: Era 300 Dining Room: IKEA SYMFONISK Picture Frame + Connect S2 (vinyl player) I thought adding an extra speaker would give the dining room a bit more depth. Since I already own a Connect S2, getting the Play:5 Gen 1 via line-out seemed like the perfect budget option. What I didn’t know about was the infamous 75ms line-in delay.Fast forward to me being driven absolutely crazy by the echo while trying to group the IKEA speaker with my Connect (Play 5 Gen 1 line-in). During my troubleshooting, I came across this post:T

I just found one of my Roam 2 speakers was so hot it melted the charging cord where it plugs into the speaker. I searched and found this issue reported in August of 2025. Has anyone had this experience recently?

My beam GEN one has stopped working. It doesn’t have any light or indication of power and will not reset.  

Just got my Sonos ace and the quality is great. Only problem is the sound is not loud enough for me. Any suggestions?

Every time I try playing an Amazon Playlist larger than 100 tracks (haven't tested with other providers) the system fails to queue properly. It will load the first 100 tracks correctly, but the remainder of the queue will just be the last few songs in the playlist repeated over and over until the queued track count matches the playlist count. I have tested by adding and removing songs from the playlist with the same result every time. This is especially annoying when shuffling as I'll hear the same 2-4 songs repeatedly with different ones sprinkled in. Is there somewhere I can report this bug other than here? This is all I could find.
