Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have two complete Mag6.1 systems.  I was told by Bestbuy tech support that I would be able to combine the 2 systems.  Can anyone guide me on how a can do this?  Or do I install both systems separately and somehow sync them in the Sonos amp?

Hello everyone,I have a Sonos Beam (1st generation) and a Sonos Sub, grouped under the name “Living Room” and connected to my network via an RJ45 cable. I’ve been using this system with an Apple TV for years to watch TV. I also bought this system to listen to music at home, particularly via Apple Music, but AirPlay has never worked. I have to use the Music app on the Apple TV, which means turning on the TV, or use the Sonos app on my iPhone or iPad.I’d really like to find a solution so I can finally listen to music easily via AirPlay.Thanks!

It was connecting seamlessly to my projector, then it suddenly stopped playing sound. Now it doesn't play sound from my iPhone or iPads. Very disappointing. I was going to buy a Sonos Soundbar, but this experience has really put me off the brand. 

As mentioned pretty much every morning when I am up watching the TV(Samsung recent model) the sound drops out. A power on and off fixes it every time. All connections are stable and firm but it keeps happening. I only upgraded from a similar setup with an old player, connected the same way that never had an issue. The Arc is directly connected to the TV via HDMI, my old set up was optical. I have done some research but no avail so would appreciate any help.

Hi Community,My old system (Arc&Sub, OneSL, Era100) used to auto shut off OneSL & Era100 whenever playing music (Everywhere) to then watching TV. Now I have added a Move2 the system plays all speakers when switching from music to TV which makes for really echoing sound. Any reason for this? Thanks 

Whenever I launch Destiny 2 I get a distortion pop. Audio shows Atmos, but if I go outside the game(the Home Screen or store) while playing I lose audio or it lowers to barely audible.

Sonos Beam Gen 2 connected via HDMI eARC to Samsung Frame TV via One Connect box. TV recognizes Beam as sound output, chime plays on connection, music plays via WiFi, but no TV audio passes through. Dolby Atmos greyed out, Q-Symphony says no device available. Tried factory reset, new HDMI cable, all TV settings. Fully updated. Samsung Frame TV.”  Any fixes out there ?

I use a Sonos One stereo pair in the bedroom and frequently use Sleep Timer.After recent updates, when Sleep Timer finishes and playback fades out to zero, both speakers show a solid green LED during the night.Important behavior:If I manually pause playback → no green LED appearsIf Sleep Timer ends playback → green LEDs appearSpeakers remain fully online and functionalNo need to restart or reset devicesThis did not happen previously and seems like a change in behavior after recent Sonos app/firmware updates.Since this occurs in a bedroom use case, the LEDs are disruptive at night.I suspect Sleep Timer end-state is now treated as mute/idle, triggering the green LED.Can this behavior be confirmed or reviewed?

Sonos has started sputtering during songs and finally halting that song at a standstill, then a message: “Network connection speed insufficient to maintain playback buffer.”  Then it goes to next song in the queue and again sputters to a standstill. Doesn’t always happen, sometimes goes along fine for a song or two before it happens again. Ookla speed test states 447.0 download, 19,9 upload. Driving me crazy and any help much appreciated. Only started happening 4 days or so ago.My only Sonos-manufactured equipment is a single ZP80 and using Iphone (sometimes my Imac)  S1 controller.  Everything worked beautifully before this problem started. No other known problems with other various functions operating on my network.

I recently purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar for my Dell Alienware AW3225QF monitor, which has an eARC connection. I purchased an eARC HDMI cable from the official Sonos website (which I believe is 2.1, therefore compatible with the monitor). I set up the devices as follows: - HDMI 2 output on the monitor connected to the PC for video output using a UGREEN high-definition HDMI cable. - HDMI 1/eARC output on the monitor connected to the SONOS Beam Gen 2 soundbar using the original SONOS HDMI/eARC cable. Despite the correct settings, the audio doesn't work. My monitor correctly displays the soundbar among the output devices [1 - AW3225QF (AMD Audio Definition Audio Device)], but sound doesn’t come out. I've done everything I can to try to resolve the issue, specifically: 1. I reset the monitor settings. 2. I enabled HDMI CEC (on) on the monitor. 3. I installed the latest monitor firmw

Hi, hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I’m having.If I start music in a zone which either contains Sonos One or a Roam and then try to group another zone which contains a playbar, the music will restart form the beginning and play on the original zone but not on the playbar, even though it shows as grouped and playing in the app.If I instead start the music on the playbar and then add the other zone (One or Roams), sometimes it plays on the Roams, sometimes it doesn’t, but again it shows as grouped and playing in the app. What is also interesting in this scenarios that if I press the play/pause on the Roam the music on the playbar stops.I’ve tried rebooting router several times. I’ve also tried wired and wireless on the playbar, but overall it just doesn’t want to play with other zones.Any thoughts on how to debug this, or is this a known issue with the older playbar and the (somewhat) newer Ones/Roams. I’m heavily invested in the Sonos ecosys

I’m using a Sonos Arc with two Sonos Ones as a home theater system. Last night, I found my Arc disconnected from the network and the App. Interestingly, the Mic LED was solid white.I’ve tried the following with no luck:Power Cycle: Unplugged for several minutes and plugged back in. Factory Reset: Held the Join (∞) button while plugging in the power. However, the Mic LED only flashes for less than a second, and it never enters the flashing amber/white "reset mode."Is this a known hardware failure? Has anyone successfully recovered from this, or is it time to say goodbye to the Arc?

I added local library tracks to my queue and when I double clicked on the first track, what my daughter had been streaming resumed playing. Please fix this.

Using Sonos Arc Ultra with Sonos Ones as surrounds. Why am I hearing adverts when I switch my Sonos on that is pre programmed to play Heart Berkshire via their global app. This also happened with Tunein but stopped when I move to global but it has started again

Since the update to the app (April 2026), the Sonos app stays active on my phone after I close it in recent apps.  Before the update, I would open the app start some music and then I could close the app completelyid I didn't need it open.  Now it shows what is playing in the notifications even after closing.  If someone sends me a video or I'm watching something on Facebook or TikTok and I change the volume of a video I'm watching, it also changes the sound for my Sonos speakers which are playing music.I have to go into the system settings and force close the Sonos app to stop it from running and taking over the volume controls.I have a Samsung Ultra S23 and my husband has a regular S23 and both phones are doing the same thing. Anyone else having this problem or know the fix?  It's annoying to have to force stop the app every time.

I have the LG G3 tv, Sonos Arc and Sky Qall connections are Ethernet. Sonos is eArcwhen turning on sky q, the tv automatically turns on as well. This works fine once or twice, but then, all too frequently, sky q will turn on, the tv will turn on, but a message appears saying no connection.the easiest resolution is to pull the sky q hdmi cable out, immediately push it back in, and the connection is remade and sky q appears.If the Sonos hdmi cable is removed from the tv (so we only have tv sound) sky q works fine. Every time.any ideas?  

I am running a 19 speaker Sonos system with mixed devices (old and new). One speaker (Sonos One) is directly wired to my managed network switch (Port 6, VLAN1 - Default). Hence all speakers are WM:0 (except my Move 2 - WM:1). My Sonos App connects to my WLAN with SSID “xyz” (VLAN1). I prepared a new WLAN with SSID “123” which is VLAN10In order to separate Sonos from my IoT Net I want to move the Sonos System to VLAN10. What is the most reliable and easiest way to do that? 

In the Sonos application I would like to add in my servicesan application to listen to music, how should I do it?Thank you

I‘m thinking of getting 6 ceiling speakers in my open living/dining/kitchen rooms (total 60m2). However, I‘m not sure how to place them. We have no TV in the living room and generally my wife wants background music. However, I guess a stereo setup if possible would still sound more lively. Please find the layout below and excited to hear your input. my idea so far:- 2 speakers left/right of the sofa, to have nice stereo listening sound in living room- 2 speakers continuing left/right of the dining table (left matching left of living room zone)- 1 speaker (having stereo) in the kitchen (also possible to place 2, but such a small space)or should I put 4 speakers in living room?Many thanks  

I have a Sonos Amp and a pair of Fives and recently purchased a new TV to replace a very old and outdated TV. The Fives sit either side of my new TV and I connected them to my TV via a Sonos Amp using the eArc Hdmi out from the TV into the HDMI on the amp (there are no hardwired speakers).The issue with this setup is that volume / mute from the TV remote only controls the Amp and is not tethered to the Fives so I have to use the S2 app which is super annoying. Speech can be a little unclear as well but the bass from the Fives is truly impressive. So I considered replacing the Amp with an Arc (not the Arc Ultra) but want to know the following:1. Will my TV remote pass the volume / mute to the Arc? 2. Can I connect the Fives so they act more like subs as the position of them is perfect for music listening and the Arc is likely limited in it's bass response? I really want to avoid having to add a sub when the Fives do such a good job. 3. Alternatively, given tha

Have looked through a bunch of threads here and 1 thing I have come across are a lot of people that have had issues with NAS Drives,Music Library playing in a stable fashion on Sonos. Currently have about 900CD’s that was thinking of ripping onto a Drive so that it can be accessed via Sonos App. Is anyone doing this where it works flawlessly or is there another option that should be considered. Many of the threads I ran across were dated a year or more so I realize some of the mentioned issues may have been resolved by now. Thank You In Advance for any Input and AssistanceRob

Hello! I have an unusual issue with my Sonos speakers and Apple Music.I set separate alarms for each day of the week to wake me up to a different playlist. In the Sonos app, I specify that I want the playlist shuffled.This worked well with Spotify - each time the alarm started, it’d reshuffle the playlist in a different order. However, with Apple Music, I’ve noticed that the playlist is shuffled, but the order remains the same each time the alarm plays. For example, with a playlist of 50 items, each time it’ll start playing song 26, then 15, then 32, etc.Has anyone else noticed this? Is there anything I can do to change this behavior?Thanks!

I am looking to have the same music playing through the wifi network to numerous analog stereos in my house.  I have two stereos on either side of a large room so I am hoping there won’t be any delay.  I have another analog stereo in the garage and would put another elsewhere.  I prefer my analog powered stereos.  I am thinking of getting the Port, but I’m not going to buy 5 ports obviously.  The older Connects used are pretty affordable.  I was thinking of getting a port as my master and then just buying some used Connects.  Does that make sense?  I’m not interested in the speakers.  Does Port have passive units for other rooms/stereos just with rca outs?  Would the Connects work fine with the Port for this application?
