How many ceiling speakers can I connect to one amp?

I have a large open plan house so I use the Zones feature to create 2 virtual speakers “Upstairs” and “Downstairs”. Each zone consists of a combination of Ones, One SLs and a Five. Ironically the Five in the kitchen needs a volume boost compared to the One that is also in it - currently the sound is biased towards the One. The Zones feature has a volume trim feature to compensate for this situation. The trim adjusts the volume from -15dB to +3dB on a per speaker basis. The Five does seem to respond but a 3dB boost is not quite enough. I need to dip the One by a few dB but the trim control has no discernible effect on any of my Ones. Anyone else noticed this before I submit a bug report?

Airplay wont work in era 100 from windows pc itunes, but airplay works from iphone and other airplay devices work from pc.

I recently changed my Wi-Fi router and updated my system with the new configuration. However both SL Ones disappeared and after factory resetting both, they still would not connect. I attached one speaker to the router with an Ethernet and was able to set them up and added them as surrounds for the Beam. However on removing the Ethernet the connection goes and they get dropped from the set up. Any idea why and how to get them all wireless again?

I have just purchased the Sonos Ace headphones obviously foolishly thinking I would be able to use the app the stream my music library directly to my headphones thereby being able to listen to my music library through my headphones and controlling music selection via the Sonos app.this is apparently something that is not possible.considering the price point of the headphones and the claims of quality and functionality I feel this is a major flaw in the headphones design and in the marketing by Sonos.i may as well just but some other quality Bluetooth headphones a a cheaper price.i even tried playing my library through my Sonos soundbar and then doing the swap to the headphones but this is apparently not possible either. This is really disappointing.i love my Sonos system but this is one element that is a bit of a let down. Will Sonos fix this flaw or do I just go back to relying on Bluetooth strategies and work around for playing my music.regards

Are replacement batteries the same for the OG Move and Move 2?

Hi everyone, I have a problem - I reset the Sonos Amp to factory settings and reconnected it to my Sonos system. I have it connected via LAN, but the Ethernet connection always disconnects and the Amp connects via Wi-Fi. When I return the connection via LAN in the app settings, after about a minute it disconnects and reconnects to Wi-Fi...and so on....Is there any way to fix this? The other Sonos devices are only connected via Wi-Fi....could this be related? The router and network work fine.

It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything about progress towards resolving the Compilation Albums Issue in Local Music Libraries.I believe this is the current state of things:Sonos does not recognize the “Compilation Album” tag. Sonos does recognize albums tagged with Album Artist as “Various Artists” -- this is good. HOWEVER, Albums not tagged with “Various Artists” show up with as unique Albums for every Contributing Artist.  Example:  Suppose we had Billboard Greatest Hits 1986.  This would show up as 10 separate albums … one for Bangles, one for Huey Lewis, one for Mr. Mister, etc. Albums that are tagged with “Various Artists” fix this, but the Contributing Artists are invisible.  This means that if I look in the Artists list, I do not see Bangles, Huey Lewis, or Mr. Mister … it appears that I have no music from them, though clearly I do.  They show up when I search for them, but do not show up in the index. Older versions of the app, as well as the web app, included options to

ios app, changing volume or room assignments. hit apply and it reverts to where it was (imagine its way too loud and your wife is yelling turn it down). then the little circle spins and you cant turn it down. or off. its been years since they broke what was once a virtually bulletproof app. sonos will be primarily remembered as a case study of how poor management can utterly destroy a successful company.  

I am trying to set up my playbar and use the IR to use with my new TV and remote.  When I try to connect with the app, the app does not let me log in.  It get stuck in the endless loop.  I have reset the playbar, I have reset the router, I have installed and uninstalled the app, I’m using android.  Is there any way to do this?  I have read and researched but none of the suggestions are working for me.  Any help is appreciated

Hi! I’ve recently purchased a beam 2 and 2 era 100 with the idea to use them as a home theater (I’m planning to buy the sub mini in a future) but I can’t figure it out at all.  I have the beam already configured with the tv connected tru hdmi arc.  I have in another system both of the era 100 individually (not paired for stereo)  and now when I’m trying to add both era 100 in the configuration area of the beam 2 they never show up.  am I doing something wrong? I’ve reset everything twice now and can’t connect them together  

Since the update to macOS Tahoe I have been unable to connect to the Mac Sonos app. I have re-installed the app but that has made no difference. I spoke with an agent on  Sonos chat and he said as the update had only just happened that might be the reason. I thought that’s why Apple released beta versions  so cos could sort out any problems prior to the general release. It’s working fine on my iphone that was updated at the same time

After buying a Five and naively expecting it to pair up with my Play 5 2nd Gen for vinyl listening, I had to return it and am now looking for a 2nd Play 5 Gen 2 second hand. Apart from ebay are there any other resources it’s worth keeping an eye on? Or is it just a question of snapping up quickly when they’re listed?.. Seems like they’re like gold dust...

How do I connect my hifi system without wireless connection to Sonos era 100 speakers?is a cable available?

I got a new eero router from my service provider a couple of days ago. It has only one ethernet port (my old router had four). Can I use a two-port unmanaged network switch (not a splitter) to make the connection between the amp and router? Any recommendations?

I have had my Arc for about 2 yrs. Recently we have had to turn up the volume to hear the voices clearly. When we first had it we were at about 24 volume level. Now we are at 34-36. And some of the voices are not very clear. I have even gone in and turned on CC to read what they were saying. Never used to be this bad? Nothing has changed except doing recent updates. Can my ARC really be performing this this bad? I have tried Trueplay many times and get no improvement. I have a lot of money tied up in Sonos. Even thinking of adding 2 era 100 speakers as surrounds. But now i am wondering do i just eat the cost and switch to Bose? Anyone else having sound issues with their Arc?

I was very happy with sonos until last year when I replaced sonos playbar with arc. I lost deep bass now with arc (arc, 2 sonos ONE and Sub) the bass is really hollow like some cheap speakers. And recently if I unplug the speaker for few minutes I lose all the speakers. So frustrating to reconnect them back. 

Is the Arc Ultra compatible with Play:1 and first generation Sub?

Hi, I love my Sonos Ace, and use them for more than a year on a daily basis, but I just find out that the ear cushions can be damaged on the side by normal use and wondering if there is any possible mantainance product I can buy or use to maybe lubricate them and will not start deteriorating since I plan to have them and keep using them for a long time. Maybe its the weather, or maybe sometimes when I use them during summer, my they are humid when I take them off, but have had taken care of this by using a dry towel to clean them before returning them to their case, and sometimes leave the case open until this have completely dry. Any suggestions or advises will be appreciatedThank You!

I cannot connect to my Sonos devices using the Tidal app (neither Android nor Apple). It briefly connects but then disconnects. Any idea what to do?

I’m really interested in getting myself a pair of Sonos Ace headphones for use with my TV at night so not to disturb the rest of the family. What appeals to me is tying out the TV Audio Swap feature to get some surround effects but I don’t own any of the supporting soundbars (Yet). So, here's what I’m think would be a great new Sonos product idea to add to the Ace Headphones. A new TV Audio Swap box like an Amp/Port that emulates the decoding of the surround like a soundbar would (Ie Beam Gen2) and sends it to the headphones but without the speakers.What do you think?

Hello, I have this problem...I have a Tidal account connected to the Sonos app (android + ios), but my playlists that I created in Tidal are no longer showing.What could be the problem?Everything is showing, only the playlists are not loading....the info appears: something went wrong...I cleared the cache in the apps and re-authorized the Tidal account...but to no avail, the playlists are still not showing.Thanks for the reply.P.

This issue is limited to the live Apple Music radio stations - Apple Music 1, Club, Chill, etc. I haven't been able to get them to play for a few weeks now. They used to work fine.The track ID comes through as “unknown content” and nothing plays. Sometimes I get an error saying that it is not encoded properly, but not always.  Today when I tested, Apple Music 1 played through one of my Play 5s, but not through any other speaker, while the app filled with error message pop ups. The other stations refused to play at all.  Is this a known issue? 

Just purchased a pair of Sonos Era 100's and I have a Brennan B2. The idea to transfer my cd collection to the B2 and use the Sonos speakers wirelessly to listen to my collection. Quite honestly I cannot get both the Sonos and Brennan apps to work as they should. Yes, all is on the same network but the music library will not transfer from windows to the Sonos. The wifi keeps dropping out on the Sonos and for some reason the Sonos app will only play one song at at time. I am wondering if I have made an expensive mistake.

I own a restaurant and use Sonos in tandem with Tidal. For the last 8 months since we’ve been open, the playlists I have built in Tidal have been the only way we have music playing in-house. Out of the blue, when we go to those same playlists, nothing shows up, and the drop down says that “Something went wrong”.I’ve re-authorized tidal in Sonos, along with all the other recos available. Please help.
