Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Im losing my mind over this issue. Its been several hours per day for four days including with Sonos support and no luck. I have a new Arc Ultra connected to a new Sony Bravia 8 II television via the TV eARC port using the HDMI cable included with the Arc Ultra. I have read for hours and tried everythign I read to get sound to come out of the arc ultra. Ive tried many different Sonois app and TV settings and different combos and many, many reboots of both products. I do not have any other HDMi or other port being used on the TV.  Sonos support say I need an eARC to HDMI adapter?? What is this? The support tech seemed to get annoyed when I was asking anythign about the adapter. All my research shows the tv and soundbar are eARC as is the HDMI cable included with the Arc Ultra. I dont see any adapters online, only extractors which seem to only be used if one of the products is not eARC. Anyone using the arc ultra with a Sony Bravia 8 II?Or, anyone who understands

Hello everybody.since yesterday i have missing album art on apple music. To be precise, it appears for one or two songs and then disappears for say half an hour, then again randomly appears for a couple of songs and then it’s gone again. Other services (spotify, pandora) show album art ok. And my apple music app on my iphone shows art just fine. Does anybody have the same issue? Maybe somebody know why it happens. It is actually even strange. When i play apple music in two rooms, it may show art in one room and not show it in the other.

I just want to check before installing the newer Beam Gen 2 that I have the steps correct, my current setup is Beam Gen1 with play:1 speakers as rears and a sub mini. I will be selling the Gen 1 beam once it's replaced. 1. Remove rears and sub from 'Living Room'2. Remove Beam and factory reset or transfer ownership? 3. Add new Gen 2 beam to 'Living Room'4. Re-add rears and sub to 'Living Room'Please let me know if I've missed anything or if there is a simpler way of doing it.Thanks, Andy. 

this is our small theatre room, approximately 4m x 4m with a 85 inch tv. I want the most immersive experience. I’m thinking a Sonos arc and sub, but don’t know what to do about rears as the couch is up against the wall. Do I do era 100s or 300s, do I do stand mounts, wall mounts or ceiling mounts. just after some advice 

Hi,so I finally solved my Sonos troubles with sound via FuryHD Vrooom. Well spent 600 bucks.  Now the whole family would like use the setup.  Source is Apple TV or Panasonic UB9000. Projector is JVC NZ7.  So no ARC or eARC. Parents do not have smart phone. They are literally sending me SMS to change the volume if I am out of cinema room.  How to control Sonos volume without smartphone with HD Furt instead of eARC?

Confused. I have both my Beam gen 2 and mini sub wired up using Ethernet. Am I suppose to only have the soundbar wired up?

My Samsung TV eARC hdmi connection is currently in my cinema processor, allowing theatre sound.I don’t use it all the time and I’m not happy with the standalone TV sound so I want to add an Arc Ultra.To get Atmos from the Arc I need to use a eARC connection from the TV.How do I get my TV eARC connection to feed BOTH the cinema processor and the Arc soundbar?Looking for solutions that work for others who have encountered this type of issue.

When using the Sonos app on ios i have been unable to add imported playlists to the queue. I can add individual tracks from an imported playlist, and i can add all tracks from an artist, album etc. it’s just imported playlists. I can however add imported playlists via the web app and the app on Windows and OSX. The imported playlists are part of an xml file exported from Apple Music. I know I have previously been able to do this. Any thoughts?

Hi All, I have a very mixed Sonos system and is used mostly for listening to the radio around the house. My problem is that the audio drops out for a few seconds every five minutes when listening to radio stations through all the radio apps I can find on the music service page. However, if I listen to music on either Apple Music or tidal there are zero problems - rock solid!!i always keep software up to date and yes I’ve done the turn everything off including router and what must be a dozen or so tries. My WiFi is rock solid and I have fibre 600/600 so no speed issues

The Sonos app on an Amazon Fire tablet running Fire OS version 7 has limited capabilities. When you open the Sonos app you get the comforting message “App features are limited … Update your mobile devices OS to access all app features”. (Playback is still supported, so that is great!) This is in spite of the fact that Sonos Support appears to indicate that Fire OS 7 is, in fact, a supported OS (https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/sonos-app-requirements). Does anyone know if the Sonos app is FULLY supported on Fire OS 8? Wondering if a new Fire tablet is in order (if OS 8 is supported) or if I need to move to a different product line entirely for my tablets.

I have my Sonos Library set as follows.My Mac can connect But the Sonos Library shows and “Update Music Library Now” Does not make any difference.Note: Also duplicate Album.   

I am planning to buy a Sonos 5 and am going to use it dedicatedly for music. However, my concern is about its reliability in terms of hardware and software. I have read several reviews where people complained that the Sonos 5 stopped working abruptly within 6 months or 1 year, and after that there was no resolution. Now those speakers are just like heavy paperweights. And this is not just one person writing this; there are several comments from multiple customers reporting such issues. If someone is spending such a big amount of money, at least they expect the product to last for years. Hence, need genuine suggestions before buying a Sonos 5.

Good morning, everyone.I’m hoping to get some insight from the group regarding Atmos soundbars. Specifically, how much the driver firing angles actually impact real‑world Atmos performance in a built‑in entertainment center. Quick backstory:  My wife wanted a renovation that involved removing a window and building a full wall entertainment center. I wasn’t exactly thrilled, but we compromised.  She got me to build her entertainment center, and I get to upgrade my classic entertainment setup. current Sonos setup: Playbar, One SLs, and a Gen 1 Sub.With the new entertainment center came the “need” for a new TV, so we installed a 75” Sony Bravia 9 to replace the old 950G. The cabinet opening for the TV and Playbar provides 16" of vertical clearance from the bottom (above the fireplace) to the bottom of the TV. The full cavity measures 84" wide, 56.5" tall, and 13.5" deep.Now I’m considering upgrading to the Sonos Immersive set ( Arc Ultra, Era 30

I have a Arc Ultra and Sub 4 arriving this week.  what are my best option for adding surround speakers in this room.  the house came with 5.1 ‘pre-wired’ but i don’t think the ceiling locations are optimal.. Would you pick #1 (ceiling rough-in), #2 (end tables era 100) or #3 (era 100 on wall).  or suggest other options?  thanks

Hello all, I hope someone can help me.I noticed the other day that a few albums in my library had suddenly split into multiple albums. At first I thought there may have been an update that had changed the way certain albums were tagged. I did some rudimentary checks on the album tags (I use Tag & Rename) but couldn't see any issues. However on further examination I noticed that the multiple of the albums had the same track in them see images below.Multiple of one album.Only one track (The same track) showing in both albumsYou can see that a look into the folder for this album shows 11 tracks.

At the end of each song, the volume comes Very High before transitioning to the next song? What cause that issue?

I’ve had Apple App Store app version 8.5.012 since the day it was available.I have not yet received the feature to disable SonosNet.When will the rollout of the feature to disable SonosNet be complete?Others mentioned some ways to “force” the feature to appear, and I’ve tried them all multiple times. It’s now June 5, and I still don’t have the feature. I’ve got a Beam with surrounds, and I’ve had an ethernet cable dangling right behind it ready to plug in for YEARS.

Arc Ultra with Sonos mount. Lg tv with sanus 4D tilt mount. Which tv position is best?

I am wondering if anybody has had problems with the Sonos app occasionally disconnecting while it plays music, from both Spotify and Apple Music.   I submitted a diagnostic to Sonos, but the rep on my subsequent chat did not have a definitive solution.   He suggested I phone CS, because they have better diagnostics.I tried disconnecting my wireless speakers on a hunch, but the problem recurred after that.   Could these glitches be on the Sonos end?   Has anybody definitively solved these?    Thanks.

Hi, I'm trying to remove some Play 1 speakers from my system but the option is not available in the app. I can find where to remove my Beam and Era 100s but no option is available for the Play 1s. Thanks in advance for any help.

Please share any eArc hdmi splitters that worked for you. Everyone was talking about Arkana, I’ve tried it, payed 400 usd with taxes, then spent several weeks trying to fix sound interruptions, changed tons of cables, trying all recommendations, but had to give up on that one and now looking for other options.There are plenty opt of hdmi splitters on Amazon, so would be great if anyone had success with any and will recommend.Thank you!

Hi, I was considering the SONOS stands for the era 300 pair. However My ceiling is 10ft. Are these stands too tall? I currently have one sitting on a low surface and it sounds amazing. Getting a second.  Also it was recommended in their instructions to put it 8-10ft a part. I was originally hoping 4.5 ft guess this will be too short. Any advice? Should I go for the regular stands. Will I still have good immersion from Atmos Music?
