Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I don't know why Sonos didn't design the Ace to operate just like any other Sonos speaker in my network. It's so disappointing! Fix this Sonos! 

I’ve had Apple App Store app version 8.5.012 since the day it was available.I have not yet received the feature to disable SonosNet.When will the rollout of the feature to disable SonosNet be complete?Others mentioned some ways to “force” the feature to appear, and I’ve tried them all multiple times. It’s now June 5, and I still don’t have the feature. I’ve got a Beam with surrounds, and I’ve had an ethernet cable dangling right behind it ready to plug in for YEARS.

I have a Play:5 that has been having problems for a few years now. It occasionally cuts out for 5-10 seconds before resuming. It happens somewhat randomly, but more often when starting a new session and when adjusting volume. I have been talking with Sonos Support, but they couldn’t solve it.I have tried several different network solutions:Placing the speaker closer to and further from the router Having something or nothing in between the router and the speaker Ethernet 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz Changing the WiFi channel to 1, 6 and 11 Different routers Living two different places (meaning different amounts/types of outside interference)Ethernet has helped, but the cutouts still happen and it ruins my listening experience. Hi,new feature submission:with more and more portable speakers, headphones and truly wireless devices in Sonos’ lineup it would be really nice to use the app as a separate streaming device with mobile data on the go. The devices would better justify their price tags and Sonos would be probably the first with such feature on the market, meanwhile still locking it to Sonos hardware.let me know if you need more thoughts on the implementation.cheers!

The Sonos app on an Amazon Fire tablet running Fire OS version 7 has limited capabilities. When you open the Sonos app you get the comforting message “App features are limited … Update your mobile devices OS to access all app features”. (Playback is still supported, so that is great!) This is in spite of the fact that Sonos Support appears to indicate that Fire OS 7 is, in fact, a supported OS (https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/sonos-app-requirements). Does anyone know if the Sonos app is FULLY supported on Fire OS 8? Wondering if a new Fire tablet is in order (if OS 8 is supported) or if I need to move to a different product line entirely for my tablets.

I have had a Sonos system since 2019.  Started with two One SL speakers and a bridge to connect a Denon receiver and Polk Audio speakers.  Over the years I’ve abandoned the bridge because it was neither reliable or easy to use.  I’ve added two more One SL’s, a Move, a Move 2, a One, and a Play, so now 8 speakers. I stream music off Apple Music.  In the past that was reliable and enjoyable.  A couple years ago Sonos updated their App and I went through several months of buffering issues.    Eventually, after several hours with phone support, we connected an Ethernet cable to one SL speaker and things sorted out.  About a month ago, my system decided buffering was preferable to playing music.  Sonos Tech support said delete the Ethernet cable and reboot speakers and mesh network.  I did, the buffering persisted. Deco support said their X55 system supports 2.4 and 5 GHz broadband.  They walked me through setting up a network that is only on 2.4 GHz and connecting all the So

HI there!I just got a brand new ROAM SL from my uncle.But when tried to set up the speaker there are problems.First when put my charger on (the official charger),the charging indicator blinks red light ,no orange light and a white led next to the Sonos logo glowing,when I unplug the charger the led goes off and no matter how long I press the power button there’s nothing happen. I googled this problem it says there is something wrong with the battery.Should I just change a battery?Second,when I tired to connect to the app it said your speaker needs an update so that you can use it,but it keeps showing the error code 1016,I tried to change a different WiFi but the problem was still there.

I'm very frustrated waiting for a feature of the latest update provides to be activated, checking a couple times a day in hopes of seeing it. That got me thinking of a feature that would be nice. Can we please have a placeholder for the pending features in each update? Nothing fancy needed, even just the controller option present but faded would let us know the App update was applied and we are just waiting on the feature activation to happen for us. Appending a "Pending" or "Coming Soon" would be nice too.Maybe on the update pop-up add a line about feature activations pending? That might lower the confusion about why other users are seeing things the user can't see, even though the update pop-up says the system is fully updated.

I have a connect amp (bought in 2016) that I used to have linked to my old hi fi system that linked to my surround sound so that I couldplay vinyl through the surround sound. how do I set this up again as it doesn’t seem to now work. any advice appreciated.

Hi all. First time poster.  I have setup a stereo pair of One Gen 2’s and a sub mini in the Living Room and identified the group as ‘Living Room - Sonos’.  While Spotify on my android phone identifies the group as ‘Living Room - Sonos’ and plays music through both speakers, the app I am using (Hi-Fi Cast) only sees the group as separate devices. If I select the right speaker, sound comes out of it, and only it. Select the left speaker and the song won’t play. I have recreated the group a couple of times but still end up with the same issue. Weirdly, if I use the Spotify app on my phone, the music plays through both speakers, and if I close it and then use Hi-Fi app, while it sees the devices still as separate entities, it will play music from both speakers. As I said, Weird. The problem returns if I select the other Sonos device. A pic of the Hi-Fi devices tab is attached. I am sure there is something fundamental I am getting wrong with the setup. Reporting a bug here.  Amazon stations can be played from the station lists, but not from favorites.  When playing from favorites, it generates a “unable to play content” error, followed by a “something went wrong” error.  This happens on android and windows.  Again, the stations play when played direction from the station list.

My Samsung TV eARC hdmi connection is currently in my cinema processor, allowing theatre sound.I don’t use it all the time and I’m not happy with the standalone TV sound so I want to add an Arc Ultra.To get Atmos from the Arc I need to use a eARC connection from the TV.How do I get my TV eARC connection to feed BOTH the cinema processor and the Arc soundbar?Looking for solutions that work for others who have encountered this type of issue.

Hello,I used to be able to listen to the last two weeks of archived music from KCSM on Spinitron using the “Stream What You Hear” app on Windows 10 via TuneIn.But now, for reasons I cannot divine, I can no longer do so.I have re-installed the app. No luck. I have checked the KCSM streaming URL and it is unchanged from what I originally had.I can listen to the Spinitron archive on my computer speakers. But I cannot now find a way to have that same signal route to the Sonos TuneIn--which I used to be able to do for years!I am baffled and out of ideas.Any thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated.Thank you.Matteo

I was sold a bill of goods by Sonos that I had to buy the arc to buy their Sonos ace headphones.  What a mistake.  Everyday it’s a struggle to pair the ace with the arc.  It never works until I try to push the button a dozen times before it connects.  Tonight I just spent an hour and finally gave up.  Just an awful product.  The strange thing is I vacationed in Florida for 4 months.  The headphones hooked right up to a regular tv as I never had a problem.  You turn the tv on and in 3 seconds the headphones work.  Now I’m back home with the arc and pushing that button with the audio swap is an absolute nightmare.  If you’re thinking of buying - resist and go elsewhere.  

When I load a user created Apple Music playlist the order of the tracks in the playlist shown in Apple Music does not match the order of the tracks in the Sonos queue.  Not by a long shot.The playlist was sorted by Artist in Apple Music. 

How do you power on the sub? Just plug it in?

if you’ve had your Sonos and like to curate hundreds of songs that you’ve probably running to this problem, no matter what, eventually your playlist is invalidated. some songs will work some songs won’t, no rhyme to reason. Only that here you again having the curate yet another playlist of hundreds of songs.  I’ve seen this question raised in the community of 1000 times with 1000 solutions from customer support none of Which would’ve ever worked for any individual out there.  If this is happening to you, my guess is you are curated your playlist through the Sonos app itself. And that’s where the problem always has been. Providers like SoundCloud Spotify they often move the backend Details where music is streaming from Cyber space. Sonos is only able to take a static picture that will not remain for very long as these are moved randomly By all these music providers.  To correct this issue so that you don’t have to continuously create new playlis

I have a surround set up using Arc and two 300’s as rears. One of them makes this plinking noise when I'm not using and the noise seems random (not every 30 seconds or minute). Any ideas?

Currently have an Era 100 on its own and looking to upgrade to a home cinema setup. I’m looking to buy a Sonos Ray and then a Sonos Era 100 SL. Can I use my current Era 100 and the soon to be bought Era 100 SL and pair them together as rears? 

Here is the tick tock of what happened.I was gifted a Move 2 a couple of years ago; it worked like a charm. I got ambitous and purchased a second Move 2 and successfully made a stereo pair with the gifted Move 2.  Again it worked like a charm. Lately, meaning with the last two weeks, a “phantom” signleton Move 2 has appeared. The Stereo remains in the list of speaker. The prorgam playing on the stereo pair show it playing on the stereo pair and this ‘ghost’ speaker. I did not add or alter my setup; I have the voice assistant turned off.Why is this happening? I had to restart/setup my Roam after changing WiFi network. I went through the factory reset process and everything was connected and set up and my password worked and I got Spotify pulled up in the app, but it won’t play the music.?
