Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi allI thought I would start a thread about this since there are a lot of people with this issue looking for answers. There is currently an issue with the Asus firmware and Sonos devices set up in Home Theatre mode where Guest Network Pro has been activated on the router. For my setup it is the Arc paired with a Sub and Two ERA 300’s; however, many other setups also seem to be affected. Here is a long thread which I have been running where the process has been documented. Today Asus provided me with a Beta firmware which seems to have solved the issue. CBC Music has been broken since the app update. I really miss the music streams that used to work perfectly before — I’ve been checking regularly to see if the issue has been fixed, but now even the live channels (CBC One and CBC Music) won’t load.It’s disappointing that we’re heading into another Christmas without access to the music that’s been part of Canadian tradition for so many of us. It feels like Sonos has forgotten its Canadian users. Please fix this — it’s long overdue.

I’ve used a local add free radio station for my alarm for many years (DR P1). Recently, adds from Tune In began to play every morning. I then deleted Tune In from my stations, but it kept  playing Tune In adds. Every time i try to set-up the alarm using the local station it reverts to chime - or if i choose the station via Sonos Radio, it plays the adds from Tune In (even whithout it being in my stations).This is VERY annoying. Is Sonos becoming an add based system?

I have quite a few playlists saved in the Sonos app. Most include tracks I searched and saved from Napster to my Sonos playlist. A few days ago, none of those tracks would play. An error message ‘lost connection to Napster’ would pop up and every Napster-derived track would be skipped over until the Sonos app reached a track sourced from a different streaming service. I did the usual stuff — cut the Napster connection, rebooted everything, reauthorized Napster, yadda yadda.Nothing worked. I'm using Apple Music with a Sonos setup consisting of Arc + Sub + two Era 300 speakers.When I play the following album, playback consistently halts mid-track, and the Sonos system becomes completely unresponsive—as if it's frozen. Problem:Almost daily, my surrounds/sub all disconnect from the Arc Ultra and stop playing sound (thought he Arc continues working as expected). When this occurs, the app shows "Needs attention" for the Arc Ultra. Power cycling the Arc Ultra immediately resolves the problem for 24-48 hours.Setup: Soundbar: Arc Ultra (connected via Wi-fi) Surrounds: 2x Symfonisk Bookshelf Gen 2 surrounds Sub: Sub Mini Routers: Asus AX86U Pro + AX58U AiMesh Node Other Sonos speakers in the house use SonosNet via a single Symfonisk lamp that is wired to the router (does SonosNet play any part for the surrounds/sub in this setup?) I have a Sonos TV system consisting of an Arc soundbar (wired), a subwoofer, and two Era300 speakers with Asus ZenWifi XD6 communications. The sound from the speakers is extremely choppy. It's impossible to hear the music. I previously had Sonos Ones instead of the Era300s, and I changed them to see if it was a hardware issue, but it wasn't. Now it's even worse. It stutters much more than before. I've tried everything: turning off the router, waiting two minutes, reinstalling the entire system. Even the recommendations given by IA: Disable Airtime Fairness, Disable QoS, Disable Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), …The Asus mesh system (one node on the same TV room) works great. Any advice will be highly appreciated.

So, my previous setup was a 6 year old Samsung TV connected to a Sonos Beam Gen with inputs from a PS4 and Sky Q. I managed to get round lip sync issues using a Toslink adapter.  I recently updated to a Samsung QE55Q7F2AUXXU, and a Sonos Beam Gen 2 with the same two input devices. I found that the lip sync issue was present on this device too. It is worth stating that this TV doesn’t have an Optical Port despite the manual stating differently.  I searched online for a solution, and despite changing settings on the TV, Sky Q, and the PS4 (DVDs and BluRays), I still experienced lip sync issues. I purchased a couple of HDMI audio extractors and whilst the lip sync issue was resolved, I lost some functionality with the TV remote because the Beam wasn’t recognised as a fully connected audio device.  I then decided to do a little more research and after some trial and error, I have resolved the issue without the need for any other technology. 

Just bought a move (2nd hand). Never been used, sellers information. The speaker will not charge. Keep switching between fast twinkling red light and slower orange lights. Any idea? Anyone?

Hello,Happy owner of several Sonos speakers I just bought a CD player, the FiiO DM13 BT, to be able to use again my old CDs.I succeeded to connect the player to my Move 2 or an Era 100 via BT but any sound from the speakers…Do you think I have to use the Sonos PORT with this CD player to be able to enjoy my CDs ?(I have a lot of them already ripped in my NAS but still have others...)TIA

Hello, ever since the app update, I have been unable to create a room group without the playback stopping. Usually, I start listening in one room, then decide I want the playback in the full apartment so I attempt to add a room to the group. Every time, it stops the playback. Sometimes I completely lose the content I was playing and have to restart everything from the beginning. This happens no matter what service I am streaming from (usually spotify), and whether I create the group in the Sonos iOS or Mac app. So incredibly frustrating. 

I have a Port and a a pair of Play 3 as a stereo pair. Every time I stream music from iTunes I have to do the dance of remember in the Sonos App how to get the Port to play to the Play 3’s - can I configure the Port to always auto pair with the Stereo pai?

I had two play 3 speakers in my “Living Room” set up with surround sound. For some reason one speaker disconnected from the system and I reconnected it HOWEVER it did not go back to “Living Room” it created a new location “Living Room 2”. Now neither speaker talks to each other to create surround sound. How do I move the speaker to the “Living Room” zone and then reset both so they create surround sound. I tried unplugging and rebooting the speaker however every time I attempt to drop it in the existing “Living Room” grouping it goes back into “Living Room 2”. I tried several times and am toast. 

I have been receiving the error message below in the Sonos app for the last few weeks whenever I try to listent to the CBC content provider through the Sonos app. 

I can't use YouTube Music in my Sonos app. Nothing shows up in the app, totally blank. I've installed the app multiple times, relinked my accounts, restarted the router and so on. Searched the forums and web, no answer. Am I doomed here?  

Hi,I am using Apple device and 2 Amps with speakers.yourube music app worked for few days and what ever the solution I apply it’s not working like removing google account, restart phone, restart Internet, reconfigure app multiple times and it’s not working what ever I do.any one has a solution for this? Regards,sri

After setting up my arc ultra 2x era300 and sub should it look like this in app    

Many of my friends and I have noticed that as of now (updated Sonos app and firmware), Relisten will NOT automatically advance tracks when used as a streaming service within the Sonos App.  This is quite cumbersome for listing to concerts.  Please advise.  

I got a new router. I’ve managed to set up my newer products (beam, sub etc) using the Sonos app and WiFi. However I just can’t get the play 5 gen 1 to connect. I’ve followed everything on the S1 app. Connecting over WiFi it stalls after “join Sonos network”. connecting with Ethernet cable it stalls on “hear the chime”. The play 5 chimes but the app doesn’t recognise it. it was working fine on my previous virgin wifi, but just can’t get it going on new Vodafone power hub. The hub output seems to be 2.4hz. please can anyone help? 

Can someone with Sonos explain to me why I cannot play more than 3 speakers at once without my music jumping from speaker to speaker. This is constant, and never ending. I’ve spent tons of money over the years to outfit my home with 10 speakers, including a Sonos Move. They have NEVER, EVER, worked properly. I have asked for advise on more than one occasion and have gotten nothing but “it’s my wi-fi”. I have reset all my speakers more than once; I have unplugged each one and readded them, and just two days ago I deleted my entire system and created a whole new account and added each speaker back. None of this has worked. Not only does the music jump from speaker to speaker, but no song finishes to the end before the next song kicks in. Though I am completely done with this trash company, I am stuck with what I have and would like it to work correctly. It would be nice to know if anyone else is experiencing these issues.

Hi, I am unable to paid samsung solar remote to my Sonos playbar. I already went to settings on TV and added the remote as universal remote with the Sonos system. But still I cannot control the volume. It seems remote is working on bkuetooth mode and not IR mode. Not sure how to switch to IR mode. Please help. Kind Regards

I just bought the arc ultra and connected it to my LG oledG3836LA tv with an ultra high speed hdmi true eARC, digital sound on passthrough why is it as soon as i use my iPad and use an app and pass it through to my tv there is no sound also when i use an app on my tv (plex) the sound works but not if i try to start a danish serie ( i think the sound stream is stereo no sound at all then when I switch back from passthrough to pcm the sound returns.

Arc Ultra and Era 100’s  Anyone else have this setup and noticing that the Era 100’s as rears are doing less work with the Arc Ultra when compared to the standard Arc? I’m barely noticing any audio coming from the rears even with the surround volume turned up to maximum.  I swapped my original Arc back with the Era 100 surrounds and tested the same Atmos movies on the Arc and the Arc Ultra, and there is a significant difference/reduction in the signals being sent to the Era 100’s in the rear channels with the Arc Ultra.  Increasing the “TV Level” setting for Surround Audio in the Sonos app increases the front surround volume coming from the Arc Ultra but the signals coming out of the ERA 100 rears are almost non existent.  Is this behavior the result of how the Arc Ultra processes surround channels, and should be considered normal operation?
