there’s no power showing on one of my Sonos connect boxes. How can I tell if the unit is in need of replacement, I unplugged it and plugged it back in in the white light on the front is still not showing up

I’ve just replaced my Arc with the Arc Ultra in my home theatre set up (Arc Ultra, 2 x Era 300’s 1 x Sub mini) I just unplugged the Arc and plugged the Ultra into the same leads. Added the Ultra in the app, all ok. Now I can’t add the Era 300’s or the Mini. I have removed them from the original Arc set up, powered them off and rebooted the router and my phone, but still showing as not connected so I can’t addd them to the Ultra.

Trueplay works on individual components of my system. But when I create the home theater set up, I cannot get Trueplay to initiate. I am able to do the first balancing step but the final Trueplay walk around the room step does not begin.  Error says unable to perform Trueplay at this time. Try again later. 

I’m leaving this note for anyone like me that is looking to share thier Arc wth a TV and projector.  I bought a OREI eARC/ARC HDMI 2x1 Audio Switch (EARC-102).  Working great with my Awol projector and Sumsung Frame TV.

I tried every fix posted online for this issue and after suffering from it for ~2 years, I finally spent a few hours and achieved this fix. Registered to the forums just to share this in case it helps someone else. The fix (probably)What finally got my Sonos macOS app back online after the "Your computer's firewall setting has changed. Your Sonos controller can no longer connect to your Sonos system" error: in-app Uninstall (NOT drag-to-trash) followed by a fresh download from sonos.com.Important caveat: I tried a lot of other cleanup steps before this worked. I can't say for sure whether the in-app Uninstall alone would have fixed it on a "clean" system, or whether the prior cleanup was a prerequisite. If you're hitting the same error, I'd suggest trying the simple fix first — if it doesn't work on its own, here's everything else I did, in case some of it matters in combination.Step 1 — Try this first (the simple fix)

Hi all/anyoneI have a Roam 2 with a Sonos wireless charger and plug.Unfortunately the lead is too short so I added a 1 metre usb extension lead. All worked well but on one occasion the battery discharged overnight, so I replaced the extension lead with another and all was fine but yesterday the wireless base started flashing red so I took the usb extension out and all it all works, but I cannot put the speaker where it needs to go.I’ve found out from the Sonos bot that I need a cable capable of delivering 5v/2a (10w) of power. Has anyone had any luck with this?Thanks for any help.

Hi everyone,I’m looking for advice on the optimal placement of a Sonos Arc Ultra. The current offer is ending soon, so I’d really appreciate any quick guidance.I’ve attached photos of my full TV cabinet. The Arc Ultra would be placed on the second shelf, which currently measures 147 × 13.5 × 6.3 cm. We’re planning to remove the wooden panels from the top and bottom, which would increase the height clearance to around 9.5 cm.For additional context, the distance from the bottom of the TV to the start of the soundbar shelf is 14 cm, so I believe the recommended TV clearance requirement is covered.I’ve seen mixed opinions online, so I thought I’d ask here. We can also remove all four wooden sections if needed, as they appear to be glued in. I’d prefer to avoid wall mounting, as this alcove cabinet was built specifically with a soundbar in mind.Given these dimensions, would it be safe to go ahead with the Arc Ultra and still get the best performance fro

Any recent changes to the S1 app? Or are there issues with the new Pixel Pro 10 phone?For nearly 2 years now, I've used the S1 app with older Play:5, Gen 1 speakers in my shop.  I've had two of those speakers set up as a stereo pair and it's worked great. Last week, I upgraded my phone from a Samsung Galaxy S21 to a Google Pixel Pro 10.  The transfer process pulled/installed the apps that I had on the older phone onto the new phone.  Not sure if they are the same version of the app software or not.The S2 system works just fine (once I logged back in) and all the units in the house are working as before.  But the Play:5s on the S1 are not.  I've uninstalled & reinstalled, factory reset the speakers and re-added them, both in the shop and also tried it inside the house.  I've successfully gotten 1 of them to work when plugged into my router, but it'll die a few minutes after removing the Ethernet cable.  And when I try to add the 2nd speaker, the first one die

I like that the dialog is very easy to hear without having to turn on any dialog adjustments. The problem is I barely hear the left and right channel audio. Background music is barely audible. I’ve tried it with both Trueplay turned on and off and there isn’t much improvement. I know the left/right channels are working because I hear music. Anyone else have this problem?

I have factory reset my old Play 1s, can I now gift these to my daughter to set up in her new home on her own account/wifi network?

The app shows all four devices as "Not Connected" and a full power cycle of all devices is required to recover.Network logs confirm the sequence every time:Arc drops off WiFi first Era 300 surrounds and Sub immediately start disconnecting and reconnecting, trying to find their controller Entire group unavailable in app until power cycledThe Arc is most likely the root cause, the surrounds and Sub are just reacting to losing their controller.Signal and net

This concerns a problem I have using S1 on my Imac desktop only.; no problem when using it  on my Iphone or Ipad.  On the Imac I am unable to perform the basic function of searching within Amazon Music (searching within any specific field: Artist, Album, etc.) in order to then “drill down” further “.o specific searched-for items and add them to my queue.  Having chosen Amazon Music under “Select a Music Source”  I end up with the screen in the attached photo. The “Search” functions within this screen seem to point only to Artists, Songs, Albums etc. that  I have previously accessed (on previous S1 outings), but to come up empty for my current search “argument”.  Any advice much appreciated! 

I have 5 older Sonos speakers, all require being plugged in, If I want to add speakers can I buy the newer wireless and will they all be able to be grouped together and played at the same time? Thank you!

I am streaming with a hardwired (1Gb/s) Nvidia Shield Pro passthrough to a TCL 65QM851G TV. My new Sonos Arc Ultra is plugged into the eARC port of the TV and the TV is set to passthrough to the Arc Ultra. I also have a pair of ERA100’s for surrounds. The Sonos gear is connected to a 5G wifi network. The system plays/streams PCM stereo content with no issue but when I stream any type of Dolby content (Dolby Atmos or Dolby Plus 5.1) it plays awesome for about 5 minutes then the sound starts to drop out very briefly about every 1-2 seconds. If I pause the stream for a couple seconds and restart it, the cycle repeats, 5 minutes of awesome sound then the dropouts restart. What can I do to rectify this issue?

I am running the latest Sonos firmware 17.2.3 (build 90077070) with several Sonos One’s and a Sonos Move.  My controller(s) Macbook Pro M5 Max (MacOS Tahoe) and iPhone 17 Pro (iOS 26.5) -- iOS Sonos is also up to date.After a recent update to Sonos, I have again experienced speaker sound sync issues.   I have not changed anything in my setup or configuration.   I have one Sonos One hard-wired that was intended to overcome prior similar issues.   These speakers are all within less than 25 ft proximity to my Netgear Orbi RBR850.So my question is has anyone noticed this degradation since recent Sonos controller updates?   I recall this being a long-term Sonos issue.

I burned a new album to my music library. I played it several times on that day. The next day, I went to play it from my Windows Sonos app. The app said it had updates. I applied them. With the same playlist on the same speakers as the day before, I went to replay the album. It failed withCouldn’t play <music library file>.flac. Try again.I rescanned my music library. That did not help. I tried again and again. That did not help. I waited for a couple of hours and I could start to play the album. I stopped midway through the first song.Today (two days later) I retried playing that same album on different speakers. I get the same error. I tried other speakers, even the original ones, and I still get the same error again and again.The only thing that has changed in my system was the Sonos update. As per title, i use two sonos one 2nd gens. One fell and now the bass is distorted (unless i put -4 on equaliser)Ive opened the speaker as im impatient, if i have the speaker opened slightly the distortion stops. Obviously i dont want that but before i go any further, can i really fix this 

Just read a very helpful thread on ERA300’s ceiling mount Vs In ceiling ….. I have the same issue. Probably easier than the OP on that thread. We have a rectangular room. But with a large triangular corner in glass. Long story, looks nice etc but not ideal for placing speakers.The front viewing wall is perfectly symetrical and has just been rewired so TV, sound bar and other components are perfectly centered as is the viewing settee. The viewing settee has a left hand and right hand 2 seater settee perpendicular to the main viewing settee.So everything is front is peachy. But the rear means the ERA 300 RHS would be over the arm if wall mounted. Not ideal. The LHS one not a problem. Can use floor stands but I’m thinking ceiling mounted on a Flexson and use SW in app to invert the soun

Does anyone know where or how I can purchase the original Sonos Ace travel cases? I think they’re beautiful and high-quality; it’s a shame that, since I’ve been moving around a lot, I lost mine. I’ve tried looking for original options, but they’re not available on the official Sonos website.I admit it was my mistake, but I’d like to buy an original one. Thanks.
