Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I just bought a new sonos speaker the Era 100, i already had the Sonos One gen2, when i try to set an alarm from the app it immediately cancels out, not even a nanosecond and it’s gone idk what’s wrong.i bought the a new Era 100 and same issue with the sono one gen 2 i don’t even know what’s wrong to say im speechless. i have tried everything resetting the speakers the app everything.

Since the update to macOS Tahoe I have been unable to connect to the Mac Sonos app. I have re-installed the app but that has made no difference. I spoke with an agent on  Sonos chat and he said as the update had only just happened that might be the reason. I thought that’s why Apple released beta versions  so cos could sort out any problems prior to the general release. It’s working fine on my iphone that was updated at the same time

Hi group,I bought a Beam gen2 and a pair of Era 100’s a year ago.  The wifi network setup went well and the Era 100’s were added as surrounds.  After some time they stopped working.  I factory reset the Era 100’s and re-added them but they would no longer work as surrounds.I found advice on Reddit that said this functionality was corrupted by a firmware update (no specifics given) and was now a common problem.  Further advice recommended connecting the Beam to ethernet and disabling wifi on the Beam which I did.  As proof of concept I did this by running a long ethernet cable down the stairs and across my living room to the Beam.  With the Beam on ethernet and the Era 100’s on wifie the Era 100’s would connect as surrounds.  If I re-enabled wifi on the Beam the surrounds would disconnect.Since I can’t have wired network where I use the Sonos system I can no longer have surround presumably until the broken firmware is fixed.I’m open to ideas and suggestion

My tv shows the beam 2 connected in settings. But the sony Bravia 9000h doesn't play audio I have checked the speakers of tv and sonos beam separately (they work) The beam doesn't play the tv audio and it's completely silent. Have tried repeated resets Any other options?Change the HDMI cable ?  

I’ve been suffering for 2 years with intermittent choppy audio via HDMI ARC on my Sonos AMP.  Swapped cables, tried short cable extenders nothing helped.  Sometime it would go for weeks and then start - I’d power cycle TV and Amp no joy.Came across this post: https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-229129/arc-loose-hdmi-6877144 I thought what the hell I’ll try it.  Well it worked.  I sliced 3 mm of the shell around the HDMI connector - plugged it back in and BAM - problem solved.

Can I use Pandora or Spotify?

Hello everyone,Lately, I've noticed the volume level seems lower when integrating Sonos and Spotify. I've tested this on several Era 100s, Fives, and Sonos Ones, and I find myself needing to increase the volume significantly compared to last week. Do you know if there have been any recent changes to the Spotify integration volume? This occurs whether using Spotify Connect and the Sonos app. Do you have the same feeling?

Long shot but any help welcome. I plugged my new Beam into my LG C9 HDMI 2 port, flipped the option for EARC in TV settings, hit the button to set up my TV in the Sonos app… and immediately got the HDMI ARC not detected screen. After a lot of googling I disconnected all other inputs, power cycled the TV and Beam, played with turning eARC off and basically everything any AI Overview or forum post suggests. Anyone got anything to suggest beyond setting to fire to both devices? I naively thought this should be easy 

Can I pair all the speakers in all of my zones to a single Amp? 

No release notes but an update. Can’t see any changes. Now on Build 92.0-73070 on ALL devices. So assume it was just a consolidation of the last update to bring all speakers in line as the Arc and ERAs were on advanced versions. 

Hi, I have been having issues with AirPlay since iOS 26 was released. During beta testing iOS I have submitted multiple bug reports to Apple asking them why my Apple Music audio will not play when the next song plays to my Sonos speakers. I have to manually skip the song in order to get sound working again. Music does continue in the iOS device, but no sounds plays to my Sonos speakers. Sometimes AirPlay will just not even connect to any of my speakers and I have to either turn WiFi on and off on my iPhone for it to work.  I have been beta testing newest iOS release and Apple sent me an email saying they fixed the issue, but they did not and I continue to have disconnects and audio issue. My UniFi wifi is setup as recommended by Ubiquity for Sonos and AirPlay. (Issue was happening since 9:50PM-11:00PM on 01/04/2026) Thank you.

Does SONOS have anything in the pipeline to replace TuneIn for customer URL’s?  Tim C

Hello. I have just bought a new TV (Hisense 50E7QTUK). I have followed the instructions, I believe carefully, to set up the new remote. Obviously, I have connected it using the optical connection. When I get to the point during setup to press UpVolume, I get the usual attached error message.Now, here’s the odd thing. If I try with Bluetooth switched on for the TV/Remote comms, the message appears after some seconds (ie, times out, expected behaviour). If I switch Bluetooth off (as recommended on many forums) so that my remote is purely IR, the same error message appears straight away. I have also tried an old, IR only control. I have also factory reset my Soundbar. The remote batteries are fresh and there is clear line of sight.What’s next please? 

Hi all! I have the most odd “issue” (complaint?), and wanted to see whether others had the same experience. I recently bought a Sonos Beam 2 and the audio is weirdly biased leftward. This is particularly interesting since I previously bought (and returned) an Arc and Arc Ultra for the exact same issue. But my daily driver has been a Playbase which has no directional bias and sounds fantastic. I also have a Playbar which has no bias.I searched around and saw that others had this observation, too. Are the tweeters on these speakers somehow left-oriented or left-positioned?For context, I am in a small room and sitting about 6-7ft from my TV. There is a wall about 5-6 feet to the right of my TV when facing it, and the wall on the left is far away.I am having the issue regardless of TruePlay or input source, or surrounds. But again, the Playbase and Playbar are perfect! (I only swapped them out because I am getting a weird ~5-20ms audio delay over optical with my TV’

I have 8 devices and mostly the system is robust.  However, for parties I may take a couple of speakers from upstairs and place them downstairs to provide full house ground floor coverage and play them grouped together.Never seems to work.  Some of the speakers seem to play for a minute or two and then stop and then randomly start and stop again.I am all Wi-Fi and all updates been donePay 5 Gen 2 Stereo pair with Sub, Era 100, Move Gen 1, Play 1 and 2 x Sonos 1 Are there still app issues with grouping? 

Hi all,I have a NVIDIA Shield Pro → LG G5 → Sonos Arc Ultra (eARC).I am trying movies coded with TrueHD Atmos 7.1 but on Sonos its showing Dolby Multichannel 2.0. How do I get the TV and Shield to give me the correct/proper sound? I thought the Arc Ultra handled Atmos right, so why wouldnt it output this? Any help or best settings would be so welcome… Please help.FYI, I also tried with an Apple TV 4k, so if anyone has ideas for this that would be great too.

Hi Sonos Community,I recently bought a pair of Era 100s to use as surrounds to my Sonos Ray soundbar.Long story short the Era 100s immediately lose the connection when I add them as surrounds to my Ray, even though the Sonos app gives me a confirmation that it’s all set up.After trying all the troubleshooting steps I reached out to Sonos support and they told me that this is a known issue caused by my Vodafone Ultra Hub router, and the only solution is to hardwire them together in order to work as surrounds, there is no wireless workaround / solution.It’s pretty disappointing that I cannot use half of these speakers functionality due to this incompatibility, especially that my router is not specifically listed as incompatible by Sonos.Anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions I can try? Maybe a new router to create a separate network for these speakers..Any advice would be appreciated :) 

Would it be okay to mount the Arc above a 98 inch TV I just purchased?  It will be sitting on the floor with the provided legs which I believe have about 3.5 inches of clearance below the TV.  The only option I see it to mount it above.  I keep reading don't but it's always a TV that's wall mounted and would be much higher than my situation.

I hope someone can help with advice. There is no sound coming out of the mid right speaker.Ive tried with an aux input to make sure it wasnt a wireless issue etc. I checked and all the driver chips are getting the correct voltage on pin 14.Ive tested the speaker seperatly and its good.All components in that area seem to check out, any advice would be appreciated.

Hi. I like to use my Move (first gen) to connect via Bluetooth to my projector. It sometimes works fine and I can watch all night with no issue but often it will connect, works for 10 seconds, then cuts out. On these occasions no amount of disconnecting and reconnecting or even removing completely and re-adding will work. My question is, what changes on the occasions it works?! I often resort to using a Roam which always works but would obviously prefer the extra oomph of the Move. I have 2 move 1s and both have the same issue.  any ideas? 

e.g. If I search, say, for Pinnock (he’s an “artist”) I can’’t ever get to a list of Trevor Pinnock albums on Amazon Music that I can access in Sonos, I get a “Search returned no results...”) message.  Any thoughts appreciated!

Hi everyone 👋I’m looking for some advice on which HDMI audio extractor to use with a simple home theater setup.My setup is: Sonos Beam 2× Sonos One SL (rear surrounds) Sonos Sub (Gen 2) Apple TV Projector (not 4K) I don’t need Dolby Atmos — I only need Dolby Digital 5.1 and I’m not trying to pass anything more advanced than that.Up until now I’ve been using a Nedis HDMI audio extractor between the Apple TV and the projector/Sonos. It worked fine for a long time, but recently the audio suddenly drops out after a while when watching content via Apple TV.
