I see that era 300 speakers are on sale for $100 off now, but I am concerned that after spending thousands of dollars over the years on Sonos products as to the health of the company because of their app fiasco as to whether they will be around in the future. Not sure what to do.

I have 2 x Era 300 - sound great and no problems when they work.   I have my turntable connected via BT and also my PC using the wifi from spotify.  If I play on the turn table I will not then be able to connect from my pc after until I cut power and restart the era’sAny way to stop this?  I just want a seamless swap between if possible.  

I’m looking for advice on where to put two Era 100s for a surround setup. You can see in the image below we have a strange, bi-level house. The TV, beam (gen 2), and the sub-mini are on the right side of the image below. The common TV viewing points are the sectional and the kitchen table and this setup would be used for movies, TV shows, sports, and music. There’s a railing right behind the sectional where the stairs are and the back wall is about 6.5 feet behind the couch. I’m considering either mounting the era 100s to the railing posts (this wouldn’t look very clean), adding a skinny table behind the sectional for the era 100s, or running some outlets up the back wall and mounting the era 100s to the wall (this feels like the rear speakers would be too far away and might lose sound to the basement). Does anyone have any better ideas or any thoughts on the existing ideas? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Several more Sonos releases have been and gone, and yet there seems to be no progress with restoring what should be basic functionality in the App which would greatly improve the User Experience:Still cannot save the current Queue to a playlist. Such a basic feature.  The Sonos Windows App can do this, as can third party Apps. Why do Sonos think this should not be included in the IOS App? After playing a radio station still cannot revert back to playing the current loaded queue with the App.  Again easily done in the Windows App and third party Apps.  Would it be so difficult to add a button to the now playing screen to get back to the queue? Alarms can be created, switched on and off - but once created they cannot be deleted?I think Sonos would be better off spending their time restoring some of these simple User Interface issues, rather than seemingly concentrating on secondary issues such as controlling Hue lighting via Sonos voice commands.

Arc Ultra and Era 100’s  Anyone else have this setup and noticing that the Era 100’s as rears are doing less work with the Arc Ultra when compared to the standard Arc? I’m barely noticing any audio coming from the rears even with the surround volume turned up to maximum.  I swapped my original Arc back with the Era 100 surrounds and tested the same Atmos movies on the Arc and the Arc Ultra, and there is a significant difference/reduction in the signals being sent to the Era 100’s in the rear channels with the Arc Ultra.  Increasing the “TV Level” setting for Surround Audio in the Sonos app increases the front surround volume coming from the Arc Ultra but the signals coming out of the ERA 100 rears are almost non existent.  Is this behavior the result of how the Arc Ultra processes surround channels, and should be considered normal operation?

I recently purchased a Marantz 7725 2 channel power amp to drive my LR mini towers. To simplify and automate the system for my wife, I intentionally chose an amp that had a 12VDC trigger input. Imagine my surprise when the Port failed to trigger the amp! Grr! I tried Sonos support and the newbie on the line didn’t even know what a trigger was, no less it’s functionality. Double grrr!I am a retired Cedía guy, so I went to this forum to do some research, and learned that the Port’s trigger can only synch 200ma, which is pretty lame IMO. I could not find a spec on the current draw on the Marantz, but I was pretty sure I knew the solution. I bought a 12VDC SPST relay (ELK 912 that I’d been using for years) that draws 40ma from the coil. The Port triggered it open and closed as expected. I used it to close the circuit of a standard wall wart (500ma) and viola! Problem solved.  Sigh…. My love/hate relationship with Sonos continues. At least I got my Music Library back (finally!!!). I have 2 ‘five’s setup in stereo, will a sub really make that much of a difference?

I am building a new space.  I plan on having an Arc Ultra under the TV and a pair of 8” in ceiling speakers slightly behind the viewing couch. I also plan on dual sub 4s.  Is it better to have them up front on either side of the TV, or on either side of the couch, or behind the couch on either side?  As I need to plan outlet placement and some other features in advance, I can’t test this out after the room is built.

I just subscribed to Sonos Radio HD, but the “HD” label isn’t showing in Now Playing. I tried reauthorizing and even deleted and reinstalled the Sonos app, but it still didn’t fix the issue.

Is anyone else experiencing a crackling noise with their Arc Ultra? I upgraded from the Arc to the Arc Ultra, which is connected to a pair of Era 300s and two subs. The crackling sound has been intermittent, mainly occurring when streaming movies.

One-week-old Sonos Arc Ultra makes a noticeable popping sound when navigating in/out of content. It’s not the loud pop reported earlier this year, but still audible and annoying. Factory reset twice with no change. I do reboot my wifi system on a weekly basis on 2 am (there is a feature within the deco). I have 6 deco devices spread over the house. After each restart some sonos speaker are unavailable and all ungrouped. Alarm does not work at all. After few hours!!! most of the speaker recover by themself, some manual handling is allways required.

Spotify doesnt connect to sonos system. I have an arc an sub and 2 are 100's. Its an expensive system.Its been going on for a couple of weeks. Its an premium and expensive System they should fix this issue sooner than later. I noticed that since the latest update, press and hold play now does not work on favorites. It works on everything else. Tapping once on favorites still works.

Hi,I’ve seen this question has been asked couple of times but didn’t find any answer which would resolve the issue.My current setup is quite old Sony Bravia KD55XD8005 with ARC port, Sky Q 2TB UHD box and Arc Ultra.Sometimes when I change channels on Sky or starting a movie, sound would drop and I need to switch back, or hit pause/resume, or unplug/plug HDMI cable to get the sound back.I notice this happens when audio output is changing as some channels are with Dolby Digital 5.1, some are Dolby Digital 2.0 and most movies are Dolby Atmos. I’ve been speaking and Sonos support and they suggest to replace both HDMI cables (from Sky to TV and from TV to Arc Ultra) but I don’t think this is the issue because I’m using original cables and as I said, it only happens when audio output is changing.It's also worth mentioning that I had same setup with Sonos Arc (before upgrading to Arc Ultra) and didn’t have any issues with it. So I’m thinking it’s something to do with Arc Ultra rather than cab

Hi, I lost sound the other night from my beam. I turned the TV on and off and it came back for 5 mins but has now stopped again. I have checked all settings, factory reset the TV and beam. Changed the HDMI cable. The TV is seeing the beam as I have the icons when I turn it up and down there is just no sound coming out. The TV works through internal speakers and the beam works if I stream to it. It is also seeing the TV as in the volume it says HDMI TV. I have turned everything on and off and now I am just at a loss. Could the TV just not be putting out sound? 

I am very disappointed by the long lasting ´alarm issue ´ and I’m sure not the only one.  What do you suggest ? BR,A tiny client of Sonos…

I have an android (15) phone. I had a system set up at the old house with no issues. We just moved, and when I attempt to set up with the new network, I keep being told I need to update the app. But when I go to the play store, there isn’t a new version, and doesn’t appear to be anywhere I can update anything at all (only the options to open or uninstall, I already uninstalled and reinstalled). Can I fix this, or is my investment up in smoke?
