iPhone 17e Trueplay Tuning

I’m just checking if the IPhone 17e is still incompatible with Trueplay tuning and if not if there is a timeframe for when it will be ready.

Best wishes

There is a list on the support section.

Being listed as "not yet but pending" isn't a promise as following evaluation not all listed that way are eventually supported. Dates are rarely mentioned.

@Stanley_4 you say there is a list in the Support section, where exactly as I don’t appear to be able to find it? Does Sonos have any ideas on timing with 6 months having passed since the iPhone 17e was released? It is a shame not be able to use all of the Sonos product’s features.

A search there on trueplay worked for me. The list was linked to the second result.

Sonos rarely releases dates for anything but new product releases.

My last Apple device (purchased just to do trueplay) aged out so I don't follow it much now.

Based on the list it looks like the iPhone 17e is not in the “Currently unsupported mobile devices” list and so it should be TruePlay compliant. However I was told this afternoon that it wasn’t supported by a member of the Sonos support team.

is there someone from @Sonos who can confirm this? With over 6 months since the iPhone 17e was released it seems a long time to wait for TruePlay to be working as expected.

There is little Sonos presence here, a moderator might notice this and respond.

Call back to Sonos and ask for level 2 support, mention the conflict in your last call and the Sonos web list.

I recently upgraded to a 17E, but I’ve never bothered with TruePlay in my decades of Sonos ownership, so <meh>.

Why are people so desperate to re-run TruePlay the second they get a new phone?

I contacted Level 2 support and was told that there is no mention anywhere that the iPhone 17e is listed as an incompatible device.
funny how a simple search can reveal that I am not the only person in the entire galaxy that is having trouble with retuning Truplay using my 6month old iPhone 17e whilst my older iPhone 11 can and always was able to achieve this.
seems now that I just wasted my time on the phone to support that has no knowledge of a well documented issue.
very poor support experience from Sonos and several phone calls later.
thanks to all on this thread for confirming that I’m not alone.
