When someone borrows my sonos move, can they just download the app and connect via Bluetooth or do they need my login info?
How will I be able to update my music library when the desktop app will no longer be supported on Apple Silicon Macs? I don’t see this function within the IOS app.
I am pretty cdrtain this has been asked before but I cannot find any reference to it so here goes:-My HDMI cable connecting my LG TV to my Sonos Beam has developed a fault (picture below), what is the best high speed HDMI cable that is compatible with my system please?
Would there be any benefit in having a 9 band EQ in front of my Sonos?...Definitive Technology powered sub and Definitive Tech Mythos speakers...
As the title suggest, what’s the best pipe organ to get that fat juicy 20Hz response?
I need 2 different set up to:1. Listen , stream musicfor immersive and soundstage sound with the 2 era 100 and sub mini2. Watching ,movies – with arc, 2 era 100 as surround and sub miniPlease advise how to proceed in the app to get best possible sound
I own roughly $2,800 worth of current-generation Sonos hardware:- 9 × Sonos One SL- 1 × Sonos Sub- 1 × Sonos Play:3 All on the same LAN as a self-hosted music server (Navidrome, whichspeaks the Subsonic API). Every one of these speakers is physicallycapable of streaming HTTP audio from that server, and Sonos used tosupport exactly this through the custom music service / SMAPImechanism plus the Sonos Desktop Controller.I would like a supported, first-party way to add my local music serveras a music service on these speakers, without: - exposing my private music server to the public internet, - paying for a third-party iOS controller app to do the registration, - or running discontinued Sonos Desktop Controller software. Here is what I have already tried and why each path is currently blocked: 1. Auto-register via SMAPI from a local bonob bridge on my LAN (10.0.1.204): the speakers' /xml/device_description.xml is reachable, but the SOAP registration call to port 1400 is re
Hi Sonos,I was wondering, now that Apple has allowed 3rd party devices to stream Dolby Atmos over Airplay 2, you were going to add this support to the Sonos speakers.
I have a Dining Room/Kitchen room, and open to that is the adjacent Living Room. Currently I have two Sonos Ones paired with an original Sub. I have ordered a Beam 2/mini-sub/2 Era 100’s for the Living Room, which is where the TV is. It is sad that Sonos does not let me share the Sub with Both rooms, but what are you going to do? My guess is that the original room DR/K, which is where I play music from Spotfiy, would benefit most from the Era 100s. If that were true, then I would make that room with the Era 100s and the original Sub. The Beam, for the TV room, would be paired with the mini-Sub and the Ones. Do you think this is sound reasoning? Finally, would it ever be a good idea, musically, to play music to both rooms simultaneously? Each room is about 12’ x 12’
will it make a diffrence adding a mini sub to my Home Theater set up as I already have arc ultra second gen and 2 Era 100 ?Room Size: 140 Square feetUse for: Movies and Music streaming
We have recently purchased a beam and 2 era speakers. we want the flexibility to play music independently from the 2x era speakers from our phone but we also want to have the beam and era speakers grouped to our TV. Is this possible to have 2 independent Sonos room/systems? thanks
Is it just me, or is anyone else a bit underwhelmed by how the new Play speaker sounds, especially muddy mids? This could just be my expectation vs. ….It doesn’t sound bad, it just doesn’t sound $279-ish good. I’ll always remember how great the first listen of my Arc/SL 100s/Sub3 was, now updated with a pair of Era 300s; and still is!Other considerations:The build quality is excellent It was super easy to set up I’m listening via wifi with lossless codec from AppleMusic Auto True-play does very little, if anything It would be nice if Sonos would engineer a multi-band EQ, like every other modern speaker on the market ...instead of relegating us to the bass/treble only I’ll definitely give it a week, but like with the Beam and Ray my first impression seems to be the one that sticks. Both of those items were returned.
I have two play 1 speakers and I want to be able to stream YouTube to them by adding a speaker with airplay 2. What would be the most cost effective option? Thanks
Sorry if this is the wrong place to postHello and good afternoon! I was curious if perhaps anyone on here may be able to assist me with an issue I ran into regarding streaming content and my Sonos play bar please. I have 2 play bars and a sub but I’ve only ever used them for music, however I purchased a new TV recently and I’d like to set up the Sonos system to work with the TV. The television is Samsung 85” model U8000F. Unfortunately for me the tv does not have a dedicated optical audio output for a cable connection to the play bar, so to overcome this obstacle I acquired a device called the Insignia audio extractor (links below) in order to connect the play bar to the tv. The Tv does have ARC/EARC in one of the HDMI ports as well, but the extractor only supports EARC I believe. After I got everything set up I experienced difficulty with streaming content not loading/not working/strange error messages. I thought it was a Disney plus issue at first, but that wasn’t the only service I
Songs downloaded on my iPhone, I was previously able to play on all Sonos speakers. Now AirPlay to Sonos One is not communicating with the other connect amps
When playing my television, which has a Sonos arc ultrasound bar, and subwoofer, the speakers driven by the amp are cutting in and out constantly. How do I fix that?
Why is Bluetooth stereo pairing still not possible with two Roam SLs?I recently contacted Sonos Support and was told this feature might eventually be added through a future update. Honestly, I really hope Sonos listens to the community on this one.The Roam SL is almost the PERFECT portable speaker:compact lightweight great sound easy to travel withBut there’s one huge missing feature:👉 Using TWO Roam SLs as a true stereo pair in Bluetooth mode.Right now, stereo pairing only works over Wi-Fi inside the Sonos ecosystem. But when traveling, hiking, staying in hotels, going to the beach, camping, or simply listening outdoors, Wi-Fi is often unavailable or inconvenient.Imagine how amazing this would be:put two Roam SLs in a backpack connect directly via Bluetooth enjoy real left/right stereo sound anywhereMany other portable speaker brands already support Bluetooth stereo pairing, so it feels like the hardware should absolutely be capable of it.This would make the Roam SL one of the BEST
Hi All,I just got a Beam Gen 2 for my living room (I’m living in an apartment, so the area is not that big) and I’m loving it. I want to improve the experience, so I want to get the Mini Sub or a pair of the ERA 100.In your opinion what will make more sense to get first, unfortunately I can’t get both now.I’m only watching movies or playing music, nothing really pro or specific. Thanks for the help!
In terms of usability and speed I think Sonos should take some cues from hue and bring presets (including a widget to trigger them fast) for specific volume setups. I have all my speakers always in one large group, but I depending where I am mainly atm in my appartment I prefer this area to be a specific volume level compared to the others. It’s always the same level, so a press of a button would be the most efficient way to trigger that specific ratio of volumes levels for all speakers for my situation, but I constantly have to go back, open the app, navigate to volume sliders, fiddle with 6 different sliders, and kind of dial in the ratio I like.it’s unpractical. And it could be so much more convenient. I know there a third party apps for it. But that should be a native featute. Waiting for it for years. Pleaaaase do it. Easy feature, huge benefit.
I would like to request a software feature that allows users to quickly switch Era 300 speakers between two configurations:1. Era 300 x2 as a stereo pair for music listening2. Beam / Arc home theater setup with Era 300 x2 as surround speakersMy main use case is music first, movies second.I started with one Era 300 and was very satisfied with the sound. After adding a second Era 300 as a stereo pair, the experience became excellent. For stereo music, the soundstage, impact, and overall sense of scale were much better than expected. However, after adding a Beam and configuring the two Era 300 speakers as surrounds, the experience became less flexible. Dolby Atmos content is enjoyable and the home theater setup works well for movies and Atmos music. But for regular stereo music, the front sound is now mainly handled by the Beam, and the overall impact is lower than when the Era 300 pair was used as the main stereo system. In this setup, I do not always feel that Era 300 speakers are necessa
Hi Looking to upgrade my TV and also my Sonos Arc to Ultra version, have the issues been ironed out with firmware updates to the TV and Arc Ultra Apreciate your replies
Hi everyone,I'm relatively new to the Sonos ecosystem and wanted to get some advice on my next upgrade. I managed to piece together my current setup entirely from the secondhand market (mostly from people relocating or upgrading):* **TV Setup:** Beam (Gen 1) + Sub Mini + two One SLs as surrounds* **Music Setup:** Two Play:1s/Ones paired in stereo (placed near the fronts)Since my TV supports eARC, I feel like I'm not getting the most out of my audio with the Beam Gen 1. I mainly watch Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+.While the current setup already sounds great, I have that lingering itch to see if I can make it even better!I’m currently stuck between three upgrade paths: looking for a used Beam (Gen 2 $450), wait for the Beam 3 or saving up for a Sonos Arc/Ultra($1600)Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences! (Side note: I'm based in Singapore, so unfortunately, official Sonos refurbished deals aren't an option for me). Thanks in advance for the help!
Hi,We are midst renovating a 30s house with 2550mm ceiling height. We have a Sonos Amp and 4 ceiling speakers.Looking for a bit of advice on ceiling speaker locations for the attached plan - trying to figure out what the best option would be and it it's worth running the two pairs at 99 degrees and setting them to Duel Mono mode. It's worth mentioning that there will be a dining table and chairs going inline with the pendant light at the bottom of the plan. Thanks in advance Pat
Recently I purchased a Sonos Ray soundbar and I’d like to expand the setup. My question is: can I use the soundbar together with a Sonos Era 100 to play a movie? I know the ideal setup would be two Era 100s, but I can’t afford both right now. Would it be possible to have sound playing through both the Ray and a single Era 100 at the same time?
Good morning,I would like to create a stereo pair for the TV at home.I like the Sonos Era, but I would also like the Alexa voice assistant. Can I buy a Sonos Era 100 and a Sonos Era 100SL? Or should I get two SONOS Era 100?Thank you.
