Hey all,My MyBookLive NAS died after many years of service, hosting my Sonos music library.  I replaced it with a DS120j Synology NAS, and it has NOT been plug and play.  I’ve seen many notes in the Sonos forums about workarounds to get Synology and Sonos to work together, and I’ve tried most of them, to no avail.So, I have a Sonos S1 system that has worked great and I don’t want to migrate to S2.  I have spent hours with very patient and helpful Sonos support techs, Apple support techs, and Synology support techs, and no one can get the “access denied” error to go away when trying to play music library files on the Synology NAS.  If anyone has any recent magic bullets, let me know.Alternatively, if some Sonos user is willing to recommend any NAS that DOES work with Sonos, please let me know.  The Sonos support folks have to remain agnostic, and most of the reviews of the various NAS drives I’ve read are pretty horrible.  Synology seemed “least bad”, but now I think their software is j

I have an issue where some 44.1 kHz 16 bit AIFF files show up in my library and some do not.  Anything ripped in Itunes shows up fine, but a friend sent me a folder with files in the identical specs and that folder (as an album) and those files do not, even after multiple indexes of my music library. Wonder if it has something to do with “Little Endian” vs. “Big Endian” byte order, but any help appreciated

Hi, i have a beam gen 2 + sub mini and a pair of era 100 as surround speakers.Im thinking to upgrade to era 300 for surround for the beam.Is it possible to connect a pair of era 300 with a pair of era 100 for playing music?I would only use the era 300 + era 100 for playing music and switch to surround for movies.

I have a large indoor room (kitchen/living/dining combo almost 1000 sq ft) and would like accomplish 2 things with Sonos:  1.  Greatly enhance sound quality of TV sound but don’t need a truly immersive experience.  2.  Play music while cooking and entertaining.  I also have a large outdoor covered deck. Want to accomplish exact same goals outside as above stated for indoor room. Outdoor area is 1050 sq ft What would you recommend?  Thanks very much!!!

Hi guys. My wife gave me her Sonos Play 3 but I have a different E mail adress and cannot connect my Sonos Play 3. It is in the same house and I cannot remove her account and chage her list.

So… I’m new to Sonos. I bought an Arc, a Sub Mini and 2 ERA300 6 months ago. The 300 are used as surrounds, in the back wall. I love what I’m hearing. In fact, I had a very good hifi system before and this set up comes pretty close to it. No complaints.But I’m wondering if adding 2 ERA100 on the front wall would give an even better spatial sound for music reproduction. My room is 12x16 and is optimized (treated) for sound repro. Would it be worth the investment to add the 100s?Thanks.

Hi all,in the last few days I’m not able to play radio stations (“unable to play Radio station) or music from YouTube (not encoded correctly) from within the Sonos app.  if I use Alexa I have no issues and can play music (from free Amazon as YouTube doesn’t play nicely with Alexa) and radio stations. I can even see that playing in the app and can stop the music.I have reinstalled the app but no luck. unfortunately I work during the week and can’t talk to agents as they only work Mon-Fri. any ideas?Thanks,

I am considering buying the Sonance - MAG6.1 - Mag Series 6.1-Ch. Landscape Outdoor Speaker System Powered by Sonos® currently on sale at Best Buy. My existing home theater system consists of a Denon 1600AVR with in-ceiling speakers and a couple of Denon Home speakers in various rooms that I can control and stream through using HEOS. Would the landscape system above and my existing system be compatible such that I can stream the same thing inside and out? If so, how would I go about doing that?

Came back from vacation and started having problems with my Arc.  Plugged into the return HDMI on the TV.  However, the sound only works if I unplug the Sonos before watching TV.Now I noticed that the Arc isn’t in my Sonos app either, the Sonos One’s aren’t paired with it either.The Arc is plugged in via Ethernet.  I unplug the power, hold the join button while plugging the device back in.  Wait for it to be green and go into the app to pair the device.  It never seems to pair.  Trying to figure out what happened and how to fix it.

I have a Sonos system connected to a Boost. My iPhone will connect to the system with no issues. My wife’s iPhone is unable to connect to the same system on the same network. I have reset the app, tried to connect to the network with correct password, etc. Still unable to connect is the message I keep getting on the app. App is updated. iPhone has different OS versions. I changed my wifi about 2 weeks ago. Managed to go through and reconnect my Beam and one of my One SL surrounds. For some reason, the Sub and the other SL surround won’t connect to wifi. I’ve been through the steps in the app, typed the wifi password, connected the One SL to the router but it still can’t connect to the network. I’ve even tried setting the whole thing up as a new system but I’m still stumped.  Can anyone point me in the right direction please

Hi,I just ordered the outdoor amp and architectural speaker set.  I’m assuming the answer is no, but wondering if I can split the two speakers the outdoor set comes with so I can put one speaker in the front yard, and one speaker in the back yard, and play one without the other, or have one playing one source, and the other another source. General idea be using them like a move or a “one”? And if so, would they individually play in mono, or would one be left and one right channel? Thanks

There is an orange marking on the Sony input.  I know the Sonos uses 1/8 RCA but don’t know what the other end uses.

Hi, Is it possible to group a number of speakers to work as a single zone (possibly in mono), other than having to parallel the speaker connections on an AMP for instance?It there a way to have say multiple AMPs controlled together as a single zone, in a ‘fixed’ configuration as opposed to having these grouped or ungrouped through the app? (such that the user cannot change this configuration)?Another idea (or feature request) would be to have a 100V version of the AMP that would cater for this very easily. With thanksKeith

SHORT VERSIONI will soon do a hardware upgrade of the S1-only components of a Sonos system that is currently split between S1 and S2, and want to unify those separate systems into a single S2 system. What is the correct process for doing this, particularly in regards to when I add the new components?The online documentation I have found does not directly address some of the concerns I mention in the long version. In several places it just says to follow the prompts, but that gives no overview of what to expect.LONG VERSIONMy current Sonos configuration consists of: S1-only compatible components running S1: Play:5 (Gen 1) x2, Connect:Amp (Gen 1) S1/S2 compatible components running S1: Move, Play:1 S2-only compatible components running S2: Roam I have ordered hardware upgrades for the Play:5s and Connect:Amp (Fives and an Amp), but am unsure of the best process for unifying the separate systems into a single S2 system.The only step I feel certain of is using the Product Removal Tool

My Roam will connect to Bluetooth and the app will show it as connected to BT whilst playing. it will not connect to Wifi despite several resets and setup attempts. The setup works very well until I get to the ‚connecting to Wifi‘ part. i have UniFi access points and have made changes to settings suggested by other users. Allother Sonos devices on my network work well. Assume this is a faulty device i need to return?

Hi everyone. I just got a SYMFONISK speaker and successfully installed the Sonos app on my Samsung phone. I added the Spotify service correctly but if I try to install the Tidal service the app goes into error even though the Tidal site gave me confirmation of authorization.Has this happened to anyone yet?

Sub says connected but no sound. Occasionally I can restart the sub and it will connect, but then loses connection.  20233538

I know the arc doesn’t have a line in. I was wondering how how I can connect the turntable to play through the home theater.   So far I have only been able to connect to the era 300 by line and use them as a stereo pair but I want the full effect of the complete home theater. Do I need to buy an amp or a port? or am I able to do this with what I have already

When I plug in my connect amp the light turns white for a split second, then turns off and will not come back on. Does not respond to a hard reset. I have disconnected and reconnected power, and run diagnostics within ten minutes of the problem. Here is my diagnostic confirmation number: 1352236845
