I have an Era 100 sonos speaker and I am trying to connect it to an Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT turntable. I am having some trouble because I want to connect it with the line-in instead of Bluetooth because I want to connect it to more speakers. I bought an apple 3.5MM audio to USB-C adaptor and just plugged it into the turntable line out section with a standard 3.5MM aux cable. The sonos speaker isnt picking it up. Has anybody had this issue or know how I can get this speaker connected with a line-in connection instead of a bluetooth connection?

You have to use a Sonos adapter, not an Apple adapter…. Although can you provide a link to this Apple adapter? If it does what you say, it should work. I think the Apple adapter is backwards, I.e. changing the signal from USB input to audio output, not the other way around as the Sonos adapter does. And you’ve read the turntable FAQ, correct?

Oh, and this turntable is outputting a line level, not a phono level signal, correct? This involves either a switch, if it’s internal., or an external device to do this work, before it enter the Sonos.

Here is a good reference between Phono and Line levels. All Sonos line-ins are looking for line level data.
