Hi. Brand new to the Forum. I’m hoping someone can help with my issue.  I have a Sonos system (Arc, Sib and Ones) I want to be able to use either with a Samsung OLED TV (current) and a Sony 4K projector (not yet connected).  I’ve looked at various matrix switchers but am uncertain about which one to buy.  One that I saw in a video needs to connect using digital optical, so I’d lose Dolby Atmos, which I don’t want to do.  There seem also to be sync issues.  Doers anyone have any suggestions? Would be very grateful.  BTW, I also have an Onkyo TX-NR676E which I haven’t used since I bought the Sonos system.  It has an ARC HDMI Output, but I can’t figure out if that could satisfactorily function as a switcher or if it would just open up further issues

I have 5 Sonos speakers. I simply restarted my router and now all my speakers are gone. Can Sonos explain this and not blame the user, ISP or router manufacturer. Rather than spend half an hour reconnecting all of them many that are physically out of reach can Sonos explain their incredibly poor performance? If there’s a technical bypass please let me know. Otherwise I tell every person to run from this brand for there technical ineptitude and lack of reliability.  so tired of going thru this process every time the router gets reset

Hi, I have Apple TV with AirPlay but cannot get it to connect to Sonos Roam via bluetooth - constantly says PIN is incorrect; style of PIN on bottom of speaker is NNN-NN-NNN. Any ideas why this won’t work? Also about to get Chromecast with Google TV (latest version); can this use Sonos Roam or One speakers as audio output?Thank’s in advance :-)

My content (movies, TV shows etc.) is on a wired network and my wifi is on another network.  If I buy the surrounds or the sub (I have a Beam Gen 2 coming), will this setup work properly so I can get the full experience of the Sonos system?  BTW, I have a Samsung Smart TV with ATMOS that will be served through the eARC port on the TV and my Android phone will be on the same network as the Sonos speakers.

My Sonos Roam is 14 months old and has stopped charging and functioning completely. When sat on the wireless charger no lights turn on. When plugged in to USB-C the orange light comes on, but nothing works. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps (factory reset, charging overnight). According to the support line my only option is to get a 30% off coupon code and buy a new one. Any experience with this.

Sonos Connect - there is no light. After being unplugged/plugged back in, white light comes on for about 3 seconds and then goes away. Tried to reboot it many times - reset it few times by pressing mute and + button and plugging it to power source at teh same time but it does not do anything  What's the problem - can anyone guide?

I rested my devices to factory setting now i can’t recreate a new system. The connection doesn’t go pass the accessory settings connect to wifi - something occurred, try again, and nothing changes.Diagnostic 1490802247

Okay fine, Sonos devices only work on ONE very specific type of network that exists primarily in North America and in the Sonos test lab.  Okay I accept that.  I’m not using exactly that type of network configuration, so even though EVERYTHING works on my network except Sonos devices, I accept that my network is the problem. Surely, then, Sonos has a detailed technical spec sheet somewhere explaining to me EXACTLY how to configure my wireless network such that it will work with Sonos devices.  Someone please point that to me.  Oh and by the way, all my Sonos devices used to work until recent FORCED updates broke them, but okay it’s my network’s fault.I want an RFC white paper detailing exactly what type of network Sonos products are compatible with.  Not only the standards but also the configurations.  Channels, frequencies, SSID names, password length and complexity, number of mesh routers, power line network extenders, everything.  Point me to these detailed white papers so I can beg

Hi guys, I own a Sonos arc from 1 year. Biggest disappointment for me was not to be able to listen the audio from my ps5 in pcm because for some reason it doesn’t work, and the audio sounds so bad and low volume, and I had to switch to Dolby to have a nice sounds. Is this still a issue today 22 October 2022? It’s the problem my LG C1 OLED ? Or is the arc? Do you have the same experience with other tv brand? Thanks.

Accoring to my system overview the Sub is gen2. But the production date on the serial number is 1503. So how to tell if it is gen1 or gen2? Also the ring around the middle is more silver and also the Sonos letters are more silver. When I look at gen2 these are more black.

Hi,I’m remodeling my house and most of it is down to the studs.  I’m looking to do Sonos for the house, I was planning on doing in ceiling speakers in family room, kitchen, mater bath.  The Sonos in ceilings are too expensive so I was going to do dumb in ceiling speakers to Sonos Amps.  We entertain a lot so I want to be able to have music on in the living room, kitchen, family room and backyard, but I want to be able to control which is on when and sound levels to each speaker set.Can you pls advise on what I’m thinking?Family room w large tv (this will be the “media room”: I was thinking sound bar and in ceiling dumb speakers.  Can I connect the Arc to dumb in ceiling speakers?  do I need an Amp for that?  will there be any audio lag?I think the Arc surround package might be a better way to go, esthetically, I’m not keen on having exposed speakers in the corners of the room.Living room w Samsung Frame 55”This will be the room I’m sure I’ll have to watch weekend sports while the kids

The Sonos App does not get updated when I  update the playlist on my youtube music. I am not sure what is the issue ? At least the application should provide a provision to resync from the streaming service( at least I should be able to find it) . This is so frustrating.

Since the topic was closed, starting a new one. After a few other Sonos S1 updates I signed up this morning for another month of Amazon unlimited -- and weird problems immediately (upon signing up) returned. In mid-flight of playing a playlist I received the message below. Couple of other interesting observations:1. On my Ipad controller I can turn off compression of music -- did that (that option doesn’t seem to exist on my Windows 10 controller...). Seemed to help. Also on the Ipad controller but not the Windows controller is an option to Pair Airplay devices with the others; it was set as OFF, I turned it ON (I have one Airplay device).2. I now get sort of random messages like the one above, where in mid-flight the message pops up and the next song starts… Very strange. I now have many messages in the Error log: Sunday, October 16, 2022 - 8:28 AM Central Time; Unable to play 'Duet for Flute and Clarinet, Op. 46 No. 1: I. Allegro' - the song is not encoded correctly. [or many other s

I want to remove my paired Ones from my TV room (Sub & PlayBase). When my Fives arrive I want to add them to my TV room along with the existing Sub & PlayBase for my 5.1 setup. I’m going to use the Ones in the garage (replacing my paired Play1’s. I’ll find a new home for the Play1’s. Will I be able to remove the Ones from tv room without unpairing them? Or will each Ones have to start all over as a new install on S2 app? Will I lose anything from the app once I remove power to the Ones or Play1s? I know once I have them in the garage I will have to use TruePlay to fine tune them again. I’m sure I’ll be able to get the Fives paired with the TV room Sub and PlayBase.

Hi, I am trying to connect Arc to Vizio tv and it is just stuck. I tried different cable. Another eARC connected devices (bose 900 and older samsung soundbar)  works without problems.

We have two homes with Sonos equipment.  The S2 update, as many of you have noted, has caused issues where we no longer have a functioning solution.  We think we understand what needs to happen.  We need to downgrade some components that accidently got upgraded and then make sure we have an S1 controller.  When we get into the app to start the process, we get in this endless loop of downgrading and then requests to upgrade. We can’t find the process after many attempts. Is there a step by step instruction of what to hit to get through  the process so that we have our system back?

Evening all, was gifted a fairly new (but technically 2nd user) Amp a week or two back but what I thought would be the normal straightforward set up is proving be anything but.Device powers up, is connected on an RG45 to an older Amp Connect port. The app sometimes finds it but never completes the connection and comes back with an ! and ‘power down and try again’It does not always make a connection, it seems inconsistent. If you swap the RJ45 connection during the device search, it will flash up that ‘Sonos Amp’ found but does not complete the connection. On one ocassion, the app made a statement to the effect that there was network problem and was trying to connect direct from the mobile. That did not complete either. It is possible of course (not being out of the box new) that there is a hard fault or that a previous config is hampering progress.I wondered if there was a hard reset procedure that might clear any config question marks. or if there is a different testing procedure that mi

okay folks… a bit of a mystery for me.I have a Sony turntable connected to my Play 5. It worked perfectly for a year, but now there is no sound coming from the speaker. I haven’t changed any physical connections at all, however I did change my wifi router near the time this became an issue. But that shouldn’t make a difference I wouldn’t have thought… after all, my turntable is wired to the Play 5. Now there was a period of a couple of weeks where everything was working fine, but now the sound has disappeared again. Of more curiousness, I have just grouped my Play 5 to my Move… and when I play my turntable, there is no sound coming from the Play 5 but there is from the Move… so the signal is getting into the Play 5, but then nothing. When I play digital music, the Play 5 works perfectly fine.  Bit of a mystery to me, any ideas? Again, have not changed any wired connection between the turntable or the Play 5… and when grouped with another sonos product, it proves the music is getting fr

Hi,I’m looking for some help.I’ve recently just upgraded my setup to a new LG OLED55CS6LA OLED TV, my Sonos Beam is connected to HDMI 2 (the ARC port) and for the first few days worked without any issues.Starting last night - the Beam would just randomly disconnect and revert back to the TV Speaker completely randomly.  I have tired resetting both the Beam and the TV to factory settings, using a different HDMI cable but it is still dropping out randomly. Less frequently than last night but the issue is still there. It’s intermittent and difficult to replicate without watching the TV for a while.  Is there any known compatibility issues with LG TV’s? My Samsung never had any problems, I have emailed LG for support but just seems strange as it’s a brand new TV.When it dropped out last night these were the messages I got on the Sonos App below. Tonight- I’ve worked out if I reboot just the TV it fixes it. Until it happens again!!

All of a sudden my old Playbar has stopped working with DTS encoded Blu-rays. It works fine with Dolby encoded discs and standard TV/streaming outputs but for DTS discs all I get is silence. It has worked perfectly well for years and I haven't changed any settings because I'm on the S1 app. As a test I disconnected the Playbar and everything works fine through the internal TV speakers. I'd be grateful for any suggestions that might help resolve this.

This week’s issue.I have lost the ability to play any internet radio, playlists, etc., on Sonos Radio, Amazon Music, radioPup, SiriusXM, or TuneIn.I can browse, but when I select, depending on the service, I get an “Unable to add music to the queue” message, an “Unable to play the selected item” message, or, in the case of Sonos Radio, nothing happens.I have unplugged all my speakers, rebooted the router, and rebooted the speakers.Diagnostic 1859730827

Hi , i’d like to know please when trueplay will be supported on ipad pro 12.9 5th gen latest iOS 15.6? I used my old ipad (no longer have) for trueplay setup on multiple Sonos products i own e.g. arc/playbar/subs/ones etc. just updated all to firmware 14.12 and now need to redo trueplay - the sonos app just confirmed that trueplay not supported and i’m now stuck. I would appreciate letting me know. I have already looked at the usual sonos help pages. thanks.

I need help adding my Play5 back onto my S-1 controller.  I have a play 1 ; play 3; one; and a move all connected and working fine.  Up until a few days ago, my play 5 was also connected.  I finally did a reset on the speaker and when I try to add this back in, there is a message that I need to update the controller.  Last time I did this I ended up with S-2 and nothing worked.  My S-1 app is running Version 11.5.  My devices are all ver 11.4.  I don’t know what the play 5 was running.  Help, any suggestions?

I want to change out the screws that mount the beam to its mount with longer cap screws so I may unscrew them with my fingers (and my old eyes can see them, too). What size screw do I need to get to replace the originals?  Thanks.

How do I reset Sonos Boost
