Just Bought a Sony UBP-X700 4K player (multiregion) and having some problems with audio.  Here's the rest of my set-up:  LG C9Beam (Gen 1)2 x Play:1Sub (Gen 1?) The 4K disk I've been testing with is Interstellar (although I have tried others). When the audio settings for the player is set as follows: Digital Audio Output: AutoBD Secondary Audio: On ...the Sonos app reports that the Beam 'Audio In' is Stereo PCM 2.0 when I play the disk on the default audio setting (English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1ch 48KHz). However.. When I set the following on the player: Digital Audio Output: AutoBD Secondary Audio: Off ...and play the disk on the same default setting, there is no audio and the Sonos app reports 'Audio In' as Silence. When I switch the audio setting on the disk to the next one: English Dolby Digital 5.1 ch 48KHz I get audio but unfortunately there's Audio Description bundled as part of the main soundtrack (the Sonos app reports' Audio In' as Dolby Digital 5.1). Is there a problem with

So I have a Samsung Frame 2022 model with a Sonos Arc. The One connect box is located in a cupboard near by. In order to keep costs down and not use a EARC Balun can I use the HDMI to optical converter than extend the optical signal over cat6 which than plugs into the one connect box via optical. 

Hi All,Today I was a bit experimenting with the Qobuz app. I like using the Qobuz app more than the S2 app to be honest. But with the Qobuz app I need to use AirPlay 2. Is the streaming quality the same as using the S2 app? I can’t tell the difference to be honest 🙄Qobuz is claiming to do 24-bit 48 kHz on the Sonos system (if the source is also in that particular quality, if higher, it will get downscaled to 16-bit 44,1 kHz) Should airplay2 deliver the same quality?

Hi all, first post in this forum so forgive my general ignorance.  I currently have a Beam 2 and 2 X Sonos One (gen 2) speaker set up for watching movies. I've been considering getting a Bluetooth Turntable like the Sony 310 or the Audio Technica 120XBT...but I've recently discovered that you can't connect either via Bluetooth to my current set up. I understand that one way to do it is to buy a Roam, pair it to the Turntable and then add the Roam to your normal speaker group. Is this correct? And will this make a stereo image on the two Sonos Ones I have? Can the roam be turned down and just act like a gateway?Are there any other more cost effective ways to do it? I saw someone talking on here about a little Bluetooth dongle adapter...but which device would that connect to in my group of Beam and two Ones? I don't understand how that works.Thanks for any assistance in this matter. 

Hi... Ive been using a Sonos 3 for several years without a problem. I had to change my wi fi to a gigacube 4g with EE. I cannot reconnect. Ive factory reset, and still the app does not revognise my sonos. I love the sound and am lost without it... Please help... 

 I am still having play back issues on my play 5 and ikea symfonisk speakers running on S1 music just stops and may start seconds later or not at all, getting error 1001 ? unable to sort since the introduction of S2 ! 

I”m running S2 Sonos, I have it installed on my MacBook Pro (2021) and have about 7 Zones defined.My Music index scheduled for 2AM every morning hasn’t been working for years, just now decided to put in a the issue here to see if there are any suggestion.  It is running of a Drobo NAS which has been for years, but I can say for the past 3 years or so my music indexing schedule is not working.  If I run it manually it works fine.At this point the only issue I have is having a scheduled index running.  I leave the desktop applicaition running and still does not run, of course the only way I can see this is I have a playlist I auto populate with any 5 stars ratings, this is update almost on a daily basis(adding/removing) but when I try and play the  playlist (usually once every 2-3 weeks) it always has songs which I know are not in the current playlist but yet they still show up in Sonos imported playlist. Any suggestions on how to fix the schedule indexing? thanks.Mario.

I have ripped a CD to my NAS as a FLAC 16 bit file but when I try to play it back on my Play 3 or Beam there is no sound even though the track timer is moving along. It plays fine if I play it back on my laptop.Any clues what I am doing wrong please?

I have just purchased the Sonos One. I’m an Apple Music subscriber, I have an iPhone and a MacBook Pro. I set the audio output on the MBP to the Sonos. When I haven’t used the system in a few hours and I return to my room, I see that the MBP is still set to output to the Sonos. I’ll start playing music on the Music app but there is no sound coming from the Sonos. Apparently I need to wake it up? I tap once on top of the Sonos and that “wakes” it but it also pauses the music. I won’t say this is a show stopper but it is less than optimal at the very least. How do I prevent this from happening?

Appears this was an issue for many folks about a year ago. Not seeing anything recent in the community.I purchased Sonos Radio from the Sonos website, not from the Sonos app on my phone. I have both S1 and S2 and my house. The S1 app seems unaffected, as I believe it doesn’t support the HD subscription service.However, the S2 is stuck asking me to reauthorize. When I select this, it comes back with an error. I continue to try after letting some time pass (the website suggest it may take a few minutes for my purchase to process), however, it’s been a while now and still it’s stuck in a loop. 

Hello AllI recently had a system installed consisting of a Beam (in the bedroom) two Sonos Five’s (one kitchen & one living room) and an Arc w/ Sub and 2 SL Ones in the basement Entertainment room.  Regularly the Arc, Sub and SL Ones will disappear from the app (sometimes all, sometimes only one or two).  Less frequently one of the Fives will disappear and rarely the beam is gone.  The beam and two Fives can often be corrected simply by unplugging them.  Often, however, the issue in the Entertainment room is not corrected by a simple unplugging and I’ll lose patience attempting to fix and go focus on something else.  When I return the speakers show back up in the app.  Can anyone shed light on this issue, Please?

Hi. Can I use Sonos Arc + Sonos Amp for Indoor Ceiling Speaker + Sonos Amp for Outdoor Speaker all connected together to a single TV..? Can I play independently OR merge the TV Sound on Sonos Arc / Sonos Amp for Indoor Ceiling Speaker / Sonos Amp for Outdoor Speaker when I have connected all 3 Sonos product on Wifi Network..?Thanks in advance.

I have had a Sonos Arc connected to my tv in my family room for about a year. I just bought a Move to use outside and in other rooms. I want to group or pair my Arc with my Move when watching TV or listening to music. I know it will not be surround sound. I added the Move to the Sonos app In the Sonos app under Settings, the Group options is grayed out.  is this possible or the Move basically be a standalone speaker?

I set an alarm for 9am on my Sonos move. I can no longer use the Sonos app with WiFi so I can’t disable the alarm. Please help

Howdy,I currently have a Denon AVR with Connect so I can listen to the multiple speakers in the room through Sonos and I use the “Media Player” button and corresponding input on the back of the Denon for this. My turntable is currently hooked up to the Denon AVR and I press Phono on the remote to listen to the turntable. I can only listen to the turntable in this room, not through Sonos.How would I add the turntable to Connect? And would it not run through AVR any longer? If it goes straight to the Connect, do I need to press anything on my Denon Remote to hear the turntable? How would I connect this and what would I have to push to hear it? Thanks!

Hi. I have logged a ticket with Sonos. But I thought I'd ask here. Listening to a playlist on amazon unlimited.  Some of the songs I can here at setting 12, but the next track comes in and is really loud. Sometimes the bass goes really heavy. I pause it, start again and it clears. We tested with support and thought it was an android issue,  but also does on IOS too. Been like it for a few months. I'm wondering if it's a track being played in Atmos and then the best track is HD??Is this a common bug? I read alot of various problems,  but not necessarily this. Thanks. Have a good day.

I have a Pro-Ject turntable hooked up to my Sonos 5, which plays happily through my other Sonos speakers.So clearly it’s getting converted to digital somewhere along the way – my question is does anyone know how to tap into this digital stream so I can get the audio into my Mac? I have a bunch of records I made when I was a young lad that I’d like to import into Logic and mess around with – but I really don’t want to have to buy a new USB turntable just for that! 

See above… Interested in buying a Ray and two Symfonisk speaker and would like to to plug them in some Homekit plugs. Will the setup remember the pairing (I think I‘ve read somewhere, that the answer is yes) and the EQ settings? I know that it‘s not meant to be turned of, but… well, yeah…

When will the company look at group speakers with other brands such as Amazon this is what people are suggesting and are asking for. Customer feedback is vital and should be looked into 

Hello,I’ve had a Beam Gen 1 for over 4 years now and never had any issues with the sound quality in that time.  I recently moved house and since then I’m finding that when watching TV or movies I’m struggling to hear what is being said.  It’s really quite subtle in that it’s not all speech all the time, it seems that certain things are worse than others, for example one word in a sentence you might really struggle to pick up or if there is a scene with someone on the phone you can’t make out what the person on the other end is saying.  I never had this problem before I moved house and I'm wondering whether the Beam took a knock which has caused a small fault with one of the 4 speakers or something similar that is causing quality or part of the audio range to be affected.  Speech Enhancement is already turned on and i’ve also tried Night Mode which has not helped at all.Is there anyway to do perform a diagnostic on unit that could detect faults in any of the components?   

It seems the way upgrade credit is applied has changed very recently  - now the credit only applies to one item in your basket - previously I was seeing a discount applied to all items in my basket.  I was considering buying an amp and a sub mini with my 30% credit but it now only applies to the most expensive item in the basket (e.g. just the amp).  Has this change been announced by Sonos anywhere?

Is anybody using multiple devices (e.g. Record Player and a CD Player) with their Sonos Amp?  It only has one input so how do you achieve this?  Surely as an audio company they understand their users will listen to music from different mediums.

Recently moved to Vietnam and when trying to add Alexa it says that it is not available in this country. Have used it in a bunch of different countries without issues. Any ideas? Need the app to allow location settings for Alexa to work, which may be an issue. 

I have a Sonos arc attached by hdmi cable to a Samsung tv. I lower the volume on Sonos before turning off the tv and when I turn the tv back on the volume is significantly higher than when I turned it off.. any suggestions?
