Has anyone tested the sub with trueplay after the 14.18 update? Is it fixed or still an issue?

Hi,I have 3 sonos symfonisk speakers, 2 in the living room where the router is, and 1 in the kitchen. I have never been able to connect to them using WiFi so I connected one of the speakers by ethernet cable to the router to create a sonosnet. The issue I am having is that several times per week when I try to use the sonos-app to play music, it can’t connect to the speakers. I have to physically disconnect the power and connect it and wait and then the app can connect. I also have playback issues where songs are skipped, stutters or stop being played for seconds.I had this for a year now and I have never had it working properly and I am very disappointed in these products.Does anyone have any idea what can be done or is this just a waste of money?

Bien cordialement

Some while ago @countryman came up with an answer to this Question, but the eBay links that pointed to his solution have now expired. Does anyone have the answer?I have a Samsung TV that currently feeds a Sonos Beam via the HDMI-ARC socket on the TV.  I need to extract the audio from this feed so that I can drive a pair of headphones at the same time as feeding the Beam.   @countryman solution was as follows. Just need the original values of X and YAvoid the passive optical splitters.  You get what you pay for. Buy an active optical splitter such as X . Note that the identical unit on Amazon is about 3x the price of this one ! Buy a simple DAC such as Y Connect up the Samsung to the IN of (2), the Sonos Beam to one of the (OUT) and the DAC to another (OUT) Job done.

After reading many similar complaints, I understood Sonos considers it is up to YT to fix the issue. I do not agree because I chose Sonos because it is YT compatible. If it is not compatible, Sonos is lying when they say they include the YouTube Service. For my part, most of my playlists have missing songs, and some even have all the songs unavailabe!I am very disappointed because the devices are very good, and the app is also nice.

I have an arc two subs and two ones. I won’t to be able to hear my music in other rooms.  What’s best options to group with?

Hello! Considering the Arc or Beam but would love if I could use my existing Bang Olufsen speakers together with the soundbar and not have to get the Sonos sub. is there anyway i can do that?i have a pair of Beolab Penta and Beolab 3000 and a Beomaster 4500 amp.  is there some gadget that would make it possible to use my existing speakers with a sonos soundbar? best regardscarl

Hi,I am planning to simplify my existing whole house Crestron system and do not want use any of existing kit which is getting old and takes up a huge rack.  Can someone confirm my understanding is correct please. My understanding is that I could get up and running using a Sonus amp and connect four wired (passive) speakers and sub to the amp and with the app I would have Sonus working in say the lounge.  Is this correct? Each amp is a zone, therefore, even though I only have 2 ceiling speakers in 2 other rooms, I cannot connect all four to an amp (number 2) as cannot control independently.  Is this correct? Assuming I have 1 & 2 above correct.  In order to control four rooms independently (using existing ceiling speakers) I need 4 amps?   Am I right in thinking the Sonos amp has the functionality of the port with the addition of ability to power speakers and therefore I don't need to purchase?Thank you!

Back in May 2022 I attempted to buy online a “2 Room Sonos One Set”. I have a 30% Upgrade Discount on my account which I was trying to use.Logging on to my account the 30% discount is clearly shown:  , and the online pricing shows the 30% discount being shown i.e. £398 down to £278.60 = 30%… ...placing the item in my basket still shows the 30% discount pricing i.e. £278.60… ...going to checkout…...hey presto the pricing changes to only a 15% discount!!!! I raised this issue back in early May with Sonos support, sending them the above screenshots of my account and the correct 30% discount turning into the incorrect 15% at Checkout. Sonos support agreed that it was a website error, and that the issue would be fixed.Since then I’ve lost count of how many marketing emails I’ve received telling me that I have a 30% Upgrade Credit on my account, and how many emails I’ve had asking for feedback on how Sonos was performing. If only they spent as much effort fixing their online Shop... 6 months

I had this issue before and I gave up on the product but after a few months, replugged it in and it worked fine. My sound system had been working fine for many months and I got the Sonos Sub which I loved but now randomly this issue has appeared again.Sonos beam keeps flashing a white light even though I have it connected via ethernet cable to the router. I’ve tried unplugging the router as well as the Beam. I can’t even factory reset the beam (doesn’t matter how long I hold on to the join/infinity button, it keeps flashing white). Very frustrating as I got the subs + 2x SL ones to pair and now none of them can connect to my TV.Diagnostic number: 197347082

Hi, Is anyone else experiencing problems with PocketCasts this morning. It’s no longer browsing to the Podcasts linked to my account. Sonos Service status is showing that it should be working?

HI!I CAN USE 4 SPEAKERS OF 8 OHMS EACH MAKING IMPEDANCE MARRIAGE IN 2 OHMS AND ONLY PLUG IN ONE AMP CHANNEL? I ALSO HAVE 4 SPEAKERS OF 4 OHMS EACH, I WOULD LIKE TO CONNECT EACH PAIR IN PARALLEL (2 OHMS) USING THE TWO CHANNELS OF THE AMP. I CAN DO THIS? THANKS

I have just purchased a Sony Bravia 2022 model. Upgraded from an LG. I was able to hook up to my Sonos Play:5 on the LG. Now, I cannot for the life of me work out how to get it to work with the new television. Help!!!

Howdy All, I have one of two S2 speakers that alerts an unwanted “bong” alarm daily at midnight and I can’t figure out where the command is activated. Diagnostic number :846578419.  I’ve check all my phones and tablets to turn off or quit Sonos activity but the midnight bong continues. Any help much appreciated.

Hey Sonos gurus! I’ve read through all of the outdoor TV wiring setup topics and couldn’t find a solution to my current setup and what I’d like to do. I’ve got a home with a detached garage that is about 100 feet from the house.Current Setup:HouseLiving Room - Playbar with 2 surrounds (Play:1’s) and SUB Attached to the back of the house: Connect:Amp + 2 Sonance Outdoor Speakers 1 Play:1 in master bedroom.GarageSonos Connect attached to an AV receiver with Left/Center/Right speakers. The connect is “hardwired” via a mesh access point. I am adding a TV mounted inside my garage with an extra long-arm to swing out via a second interior garage door for outdoor movie nights. My garage is a 1-car garage with doors on either side to allow for a second car to be parked inside the fence line. Ideal Setup: I’d love to be able to use the Connect setup (Left/Center/Right + Receiver) in combination with the Connect:Amp setup (2 Solance speakers) to play the audio from the outdoor TV. I do not believ

Hi I currently own Sonos Arc and Sub. I have In ceiling speakers and outdoor that where already in the house. What products do i need to purchase so I can join the Lounge room in ceiling speakers into my theatre setup and also be able to choose to play music outside separately.

I have a LG C8, Sonos ARC+ Sonos SL Ones x2, Chromecast with Google TV - something it randomly disconnects from the Sonos arc and I get this volume bar at the bottom. Has anyone else experienced this? No sound will come out.

My sonos speakers keep going line or are not in the app. I’ve done ever troubleshooting exercise and talked to the support desk. This problem seems hopeless. Is there anything I can do to escalate and get a result? My system was fine for years. I’m frustrated and want to throw all this stuff out.

My Sonos Beam will not connect with my network anymore. I changed the password so when it says “Did you change the password” I say yes.Do you want to add a network? Yes.Find system...Sonos not found. I rebooted the system and the router. What do I do next?

Hi all,  home has multiple Sonos products, many in stereo pairs.  I was going to add a turntable with pre-amp to the mix and I wanted to have those in stereo pair as well. My questions are: A: if I go with the Five, do the stereo pairs need to be close to have a split rca cable to separate left and right channels? And this would lead to longer runs of the cables if this was the case.  B: should go with 2 Fives and a port to run the turntable to the audio in, and from there can I arrange stereo pairs with the fives via wifiC: if I go with B, and the room is 20’x20’ are the fives in stereo pair too much and should consider one(s)? bonus question: will the analog output of the turntable, sound better direct from turntable to five, instead of converting to digital and using Wi-Fi for the signal and thus throw everything out the window and go for 1 five with direct input.  thanks for considering sharing your opinion! allan

Hello Expert,I had a 10 year old tv which I already replaced with a 164cm QLED.Now i have to replace sound bar.  The old one is not worth mentioning. The room is 520 cm * around 500 cm (door on one side and kitchen at the other). My main problem is that the plan agreed with our bouwer does not have much space around the speaker compartment.  The plan may not make sense, hence sending a photo of what we started with.My friend suggested Sonos Arc.  I took some test in mediamarkt and like them as well. But the problem is that I am not sure how much space is needs above, below and on the side to give the Atmos affect.Renegotiating the agreed design with the builder is almost a deal breaker in Netherlands. And the again i might have to order the steenstrips etc, which may infinitely delay the project.Should I go for Arc or a lower variant? Or can someone suggest minor adjustment in the design that can help. Thanks a lot in advance

Hello!DO I HAVE THE ABILITY TO USE 4 8 OHMS SPEAKERS MAKING IMPEDANCE MARRIAGE IN 2 OHMS AND ONLY PLUG IN ONE AMP CHANNEL? ADDITIONALLY, I HAVE 4 OHMS SPEAKERS AND I WOULD LIKE TO CONNECT EACH PAIR IN PARALLEL USING THE TWO CHANNELS ON THE AMP. CAN I DO THIS? Thank you.

I can log into Sonos via website, when using the IOS app I get wrong password or email message.  How to fix this? I have 2 new Ports on a new eero wifi/network.  Both are hardwired.  eero APP shows both connected to network. Port 1 has solid white light, I can AirPlay to this one.  I can not log into it or see it on the network via app to add features.  I get a message that both app and port need to be on same network, I only have 1 network.  How to fix? Port 2, status light flashes: 4 short white 1 long red 1 short white 1 long amber 1 long green Then repeats.  I have tried all resets I can find via web with no luck.  How do I fix?

I have been having ongoing issues with streaming SirusXM for years now. This is one of my main uses of my Sonos. Now the stream plays for 15 min at a time and the cuts out with an error stating “Unable to play ‘channel here’ - the song is not encoded correctly.”
