Long story short: we have two apartments in the same building, at different ends of the building, one on the ground floor, the other on the second floor. They’re separated by at least 100 feet. In the past, the Sonos devices in one apartment could not reach the ones in the other. Each apartment had its own internet, and we essentially had two entirely separate Sonos systems. Clunky and expensive.So we got an Orbi mesh system to bind the two apartments together. Works great overall, and we were able to cancel the second internet service. But once we tried to set up zones in Sonos, we started having problems.We currently have two zones: upstairs and downstairs. None of the Sonos devices are hard-wired to anything, and the upstairs zone is far enough away from downstairs that the Sonos devices upstairs can’t reach the others using their internal mesh. So the ones upstairs talk to each other over internal mesh, and the ones downstairs do the same in their zone, but any attempt to use zones

When I’m using TuneIn the “alexa, switch off” command doesn’t work. I have to use another skill like Spotify to then be able to use the switch off command.I then wanted to use another radio service provider but TuneIn is the only one that’s available and can’t add any others.What must I do to fix this?

Just wondering if there’s anybody on here with great experience setting up the Fritz user interface so you don’t get any Sonos issues but also allow all other devices to run smoothly. Tending to have slow internet speeds with the settings that Sonos help has given me. 

Hi Guys, I have a couple of Gen 1, play 5 speakers & the Sonos bridge which was needed when first setting my system up. I run Sonos 1 software as I believe Sonos 2 is for gen 2 & newer systems (happy to be corrected on this) I've changed my modem recently to wifi 6 & now I get an existing system not found error. No matter what I try I can't get my system going again. I have noticed that my bridge doesn't have a light on to indicate it's working, if this is the issue i'm unsure. QUESTION: Should my bridge have an active light? Is there a way I can check to see if my bridge is functioning as it should? Anyone have this problem before? Any help would be appreciated. PS My preference is to get this system back up & running, hoping not to have to go out & start again with new equipment. Thank you.

 1465061451 This is my diagnostics reference. I cannot add my music library to the Sonos controller. When I click “My Music Folder” I just get a spinning wheel that the application freezes. Can Sonos look at my diagnostics report and see what is going on?

I moved all of my data and setting to a new computer, MacBook Air OS 12.4  When I try to manage my music library on Sonos I get a message that the computer MacBook Air will not allow access by Sonos and the Sonos application just freezes. This is very frustrating because on the old machine it worked fine. Can anyone help me? 

Hi guys I'm looking on a Beam Gen 2 for a recently purchased cheap 2020 model Hisense A7100 I'm wondering if anyone knows if it'll be compatible, it only has ARC not eARC I've read some TVs allow pass through to play at least some form of Atmos without eARCBut I'm not sure this TV will be up to itIf anyone knows that would be greatThanks      

Hello, I'm using few Sonos speakers including a pair of Sonos play:5 V2 on a daily basis on my phone's hotspot 👌 It works like a charm for months and I'm able to control speakers from my MacBook or my wife's iphone whenever they are connected to the hotspot ☀️ Nevertheless, the hotspot device (my android phone) cannot see the Sonos devices in it's Sonos S2 app due to the limitation that Sonos app:1. Verifies if connected to wifi 🤔2. Searches for Sonos speakers on that wifi And the million $ question is: why the hell Sonos developers thought it's not "cool" to search for Sonos speakers on my hotspot? 😞 Why do I have to permanently use another device just because of this stupid check for wifi before searching for speakers? 🙃 #FeatureRequest 💪If one of you Sonos developers is passing by here, please enable the speaker search on the device hotspot when building Sonos S3, this will be a game changer for power users like me ☀️👍👌

I’m having an odd problem with the resume button not working. I mostly listen to Scala Radio on my Play:5. If I pause it, then after an interval of time (15mins or longer is my rough guess) then pressing the resume button on the speaker has no effect. Using either the desktop app or my phone’s app, hitting the ‘play’ triangle results in the error message "Unable to play Scala Radio - station not found"If i navigate through to “Sonos Favorites” then the same station starts up fine.I’ve tried resetting the speakers (ie turn off, remove from power, leave for 10 mins, plug back in) and removing Scala from my favourites - no difference.Other inputs (for example Spotify) seem to resume just fine. I mention Scala Radio in particular as they recently changed their delivery method from TuneIn to PlanetRadio - so I don’t know if that has a bearing.

Hi thereI have a denon amp that is sounding great, wired to speakers. I need to add bass and own 2no, sonos sub woofers. Can i connect the subwoofers to a sonos ‘box’ wirelessly and connect this box to my amp via din connectors?

While listening to music from my Plex server, via a web browser, I tried adding Plex as a source for my Sonos system.The authorization on the Plex end works fine.  Plex shows up as an available media source.However, when I try to select it in Sonos, I get this error:"No Plex Media Server available.  Please make sure your Plex Media Server is accessible."I have tried updating Plex, uninstalling and re-installing it as a media source in Sonos, and am stymied at this point about how to resolve this.

I think subject say it all. I can't add voice assistant to Sonos Move that I have recently purchased and added to my Sonos System. I keep getting a "Google Assistant is not available in your country"Now the strange thing is that I already had a Sonos Beam for a while now and I managed to add Google Assistant to it by setting my Sonos Account Country to “US”.The Sonos Beam Voice Google Assistant is working just fine, however, when I try to add it to the Beam I keep getting the error "Google Assistant is not available in your country". What else should I do? I’ve tried loggin in and out of the app, I cleared data/cache, I tried setting Sonos account country to UK, then back again to US, but nothing seems to work. Am I missing something? As I understood it one didn’t need to make any changes to the Google Account right?

I have an old Sonos Connect device, and am trying to put together a “new” system after moving to a new house. The first few devices had to be factory reset in order for the app to detect them, but are currently up and running fine.I cannot factory reset the Connect. I have held down the mute button for at least a minute after reconnecting the power. A solid white light comes on for about 4 seconds, but nothing else ever happens. I don’t get anything amber. I don’t get solid; I don’t get flashing; I don’t get green. The white light doesn’t even come back on.Is this device now just a doorstop?

Hi guys I have an issue and am wondering if anyone could please help.I just purchased the Sonos Arc and I cannot get eARC to work.ARC works fine but when I go to – All settings – Sounds – Additional settings and scroll down to eARC and activate it,My screen Text (volume – settings etc) and the sound and image flickers terribly.I've also tried changing Digital Sound Out to PCM – Auto – Pass Through.I'm lost and cant get it to work..Is my tv Faulty or is there a setting I'm missing?Thank you in Advance

hi Everybody,I have 5 Sonos Play:1 speakers all over my house. Yesterday I bought a Roam, and added it to my setup. My question is this: When I set all speakers to the same volume, let’s say 30%, all the Play:1’s are equal in volume, but the Roam is noticeably quieter. To get the same volume out of the Roam, I need to almost double its volume setting. Is this normal? (and I don’t have the max volume setting reduced on the speakers, so that’s not the issue). Please let me know if others out there also experience the Roam being significantly lower in volume compared to other speakers when all are set to the same volume level. Thank you!

Hi.  First time here for help.  Seems my 1st gen play 5 has started making a background whistle when connected to ac power, whether playing music or not.  I've recycled power, left it unplugged for a few days, moved it to other sockets in the house but all to no avail.  I've switched it with a play 1 and the 1 works ok in the position where the 5 normally resides.  The 5 when in the position where the 1 normally lives still produces a background whistle.  Anybody have any ideas on where to go from here.  Many thanks in advance for all replies.

I cannot add a music library from mij synologynas anymore since I have DSM 7With DSM6 it always worked fineI have a Sonos Play:5 (generation 1)  and I am using the Sonos1 app on my android device.The solution given was to enable NTLMv1 in SMB adjustments, however it doesn't work for my. maybe because I am using the S1 controller.HELP:  Anybody knows a solution?Thanks Moderator Note: Modified for clarity - added “:5” to “Play”

I have bought one of the turntables through Sonos and am playing through my Sonos 1 speakers via a Port. Can anyone recommend a CD player that I can hook up in the same way please?

I now have BBC Sounds as a service and have removed Tunein. Yet when i ask google assistant to play bbc stations it defaults to tunein/sonos radio which gets it from tunein then tells me its unavailable any way to resolve this 

I’m traveling with my ROAM, so not on my home wifi-network (where all my other sonos devices are connecfed;  all other devices show in Sonos app on my phone, but wilth an error as they are not on the wifi where I’m at)ROAM is connected on iPhone via bluetooth, but the device is never shown as a device option in the music apps so I can’t get the music to play through the ROAM.How do I get the music being streamed on my iPhone (iOS 15.5)No clue what firmware/version the ROAM is on -- have never had it connected to a wifi:  only time I ever try to make it work I’m away from home and can’t figure out if changing the network in my Sonos app will impact the home-based devices (that my husband is using).  

I have a Samsung 2022 The Frame TV and Sonos ARC. After casting music to the Sonos from an app like pandora, and then disconnecting from the Sonos, I cannot hear audio through the TV. It requires a full power-cycle for the Samsung to recognize that the Sonos is connected over eARC. Has anybody seen this? I feel like the default behavior should be the eARC link is the highest priority sound source. Thanks,

For years amazon music has worked fine without issue.Within the last few weeks it keeps failing raising an error message:Your Amazon account is missing required information.  Please go to music.amazon.com on a computer web browser and update your information.  It may take several minutes for your account information to update. Going to music.amazon.com doesn’t show anything thats an issue, the account is up to date and can play just fine through amazon. I can remove the amazon account from sonos, then re-add it, and music will work fine for a couple hours then fail again with the same error.  Having to do that repeatedly is a giant pain. Any help on how I can get back to this just working?

Hi,I just moved, and need to put my existing SONOS system back together, I also have some legacy equipment that I’d like to include.  (Most of this was incorporated previously, but everything is jumbled around into different rooms because the sizes and layout of the new house are different.)Specifically, I want to include a CD player, receiver, and legacy speakers. (I know; CD players are so 20th century. All my CDs have been ripped to my computer, and I play them from there. But I have a wife who will never figure out how to run the SONOS system from her phone. She also likes to use the receiver for the amazingly old-fashioned purpose of tuning into over-the-air radio, especially NPR.)  It seems that the right configuration is  CD Player  (RCA)=>  SONOS Port  (RCA)=>  Receiver  =>  SpeakersIt’s clear to me that this works to play physical CDs into any part of the SONOS system. So I am resubmitting it with a few slight changes in the details.----------Hi, I’ve been using Sonos since 2009 with few issues but I’m having a problem with my Roam that is frustrating, unpredictable and seems to have no solution other than to wait for it to sort itself out.The Roam is visible as “offline” when it is switched off but is not visible in the S2 app when switched on. It’s clearly still connected to the network in some way as the app shows when it’s switched off (visible in the app) and it disappears when it’s switched on. It can also replay the last music that was played on it by pressing the play/pause button, and given that the current album is stored on the network it clearly still has access to the network. I have tried changing the channel, resetting the router etc. but the problem persists. I have tried on multiple devices and the same problem
