I recently removed my Sonos Arc/Sub/One SL system from my TV Room and installed a Sony audio system on my Sony TV. I preferred the Sonos system so after a couple of days I removed the Sony audio system and I installed back the Sonos. But the problem now is that the Sonos sound is badly affected. Bass is boomy both from the Arc and the Sub and there are screeching, harsh sounds from the rear speakers.  Only other change I made is I installed EU plug to UK plug adapters on the end of the power cables. In Cyprus where I live power plugs/sockets are the same as in the UK but for some reason Sonos ships its products with EU plugs. Before I plugged the EU plugs (2 pin) in the 3 pin sockets but I thought it was better to use an adapter now. What can I do to fix this? I did the TV setup in the Sonos App but still no change. I thought of resetting the TV and the Sonos speakers too but I would like to hear from someone on this forum first.

I have an Arc, 2xOne speakers & sub which havent been working for a while now. Im waiting for a long ethernet cable to arrive so that i can try and use that to connect to arc and see if it works. Ive spent about 200 million hours on the phone with sonos support and cant get this working.  I have an Orbi router that came with my new ISP.  When i log into the router it seems as though the Sonos system has got a 10.10… IP address and the rest of devices connected have 192.168…. Sonos support seems to think this is causing the issues as the speakers cant communicate and are therefore not showing on the app. But they dont have a solution as to how to fix it. Can anyone help?

How can I disable the Sonos iPhone app haptics (volume slider) without disabling haptics globally in the iPhone settings? If no control exists, please add it.

Hi - Has anyone successfully group a stereo pair of Play 1s in the same room as the Connect? I have a Connect set up and a stereo pair of Play 1s set up, but the S1 app won't let me have them be in the same room. If I select "Porch" for one of them and then attempt to set the same room for the other, "Porch 2" is then listed in the room choices and not just "Porch." Arrgggghhh!

I just replaced my Playbar with a Bean Gen 2 in my home theater. Everything is working great. Getting Dolby Atmos with spatial effect when listening to music via my Apple TV and Atmos video content. However, I can’t get the Apple TV remote to operate correctly. It turns the volume up and down for the Beam (plus connected sub and surrounds). But if I add other speaker groups in other rooms, only the volume of the Beam group changes.I also use a Logitech Harmony remote and that adjust the volume of all speakers as it should. When I had the Playbar the Apple TV remote also controlled all grouped speakers. I must be missing some setting somewhere but can’t figure it out. Help please!

On Jul 10th I placed an order on the sonos website for the “Immersive Set with Arc” package and a 2nd subwoofer. Neither appeared backorder and even now on their website they appear in stock. I did get expedited shipping.I did not create an account before the order and I used paypal to checkout. It has now been 5 business days, paypal shows the payment as complete, the  money came out of my account instantly and I have 0 communication from sonos about my order. ( Besides my account confirmation email)After the order was confirmed the website asked me to create an account, i did and the order does not show up under that accounts order history.I contacted support via the web chat and apparently they don’t have access to order information?!Do I rally need to call in to get this resolved or is there someone that can look into this for me? 10am-7pm is very inconvenient for me. For a product with such a premium price tag I had hoped for better support.

I have a sonos one speaker which had become temperamental to connect to, so I reset it.  Since then I’ve been able to connect, but the status light has continued to cycle through a series of colours.  It’s being doing so for about 18 hours now, with the cycle being: Green: 6 seconds flashingWhite: 6 seconds solidRed: 6 seconds solid Orange: 6 seconds solid Any ideas what might be happening?

I’m dredging up what seems like an older topic, but one with conflicting answers out there--connecting Sonos to an iTunes database on a Sinology NAS.A few months ago, my Sonos system stopped connecting to my iTunes database, hosted on a Synology NAS with their latest DSM software. I'm not sure if the problem started with an update to the Synology’s DSM, or something else. I deleted and re-added the library, but to no avail. It’s odd, the library indexes, but whenever I try to play a song it says that the file cannot be found. I did some initial online research, and saw that there--at least previously--had been issues because Sonos would only work with SMB1. But then I saw other posts that suggested the problem had been solved.Fast forward a few months, and I finally had the time today to call Synology support. After two calls, nothing solved, second tech said they’d call me back in five minutes but never did.First tech had me change settings to permit SMB1 communications, despite dire

I just moved into a new home, the previous owners left a AV system with in wall speakers connected to a receiver. I own a Sonos amp from my previous home, can I use this to connect the receiver to Sonos? I understand that this is usually done using a port but I am wondering if I can use the existing component which I own instead of buying a new product Thanks for your help!

Replaced our WiFi router with a new one. Same network name, same password. Google Nest reconnected fine. Not Sonos, tho. Sonos app showed the “Fix it” message. Tapped through, and started the “Update your system’s network settings” process. First time, the app just crashed midway through. Started it again, and it failed midway through. Third time now, and the app just hangs (going on 15 min) on the screen that says 2-3 minute process.

I've spent hours on the phone with tier 1 and 2 and no one knows anything about setting up a media server or how to troubleshoot the errors they generate. Even the email follow up link the last guy sent me generates a system error. Sonos is worse than Facebook.

I have 2 Play5 gen 1 installed as a stereo pair and they work fine using S1 app.I’d like to add a sub to beef up the bass. Would the new Mini Sub work with the gen1 Play5’s? The regular Sub looks a bit OTT but you can pick them up reasonably if that’s my only choice. I’d like the mini sub to help with upgrading the play 5’s if they fail and it also looks less intrusive in a smaller den.

How can I play playlists that I created on Spotify on my Sonia system. I have already added Spotify as a service on my Sonia but I can’t find a way to reach my Spotify library playlists to play on Sonos

Both untis are up to date on firmwareI have Beam Gen 2 connected to 802.11n 2.4ghz network, and it’s working fineI have no problem adding the sub mini to my accountProblem comes when I add Sub Mini to my Beam Gen 2 right after I register the Sub MIni to my account, and before I add it to my Beam Gen 2, I can ping Sub Mini’s IP just fineAfter I add Sub Mini to my Bean Gen 2, I can no longer ping Sub Mini’s IPIn the sonos S2 app, error message is“There was a problem adding your Sub Mini.  Check the network connection and make sure your product is powered on”Sub Mini status light is constant whiteand I have reboot Sub Mini many timesEven after reboot, I still can’t ping Sub Mini’s IP address Anyone know what’s going on?Thanks

Good evening. I would like to setup up my sonos comprising of ARC SUB  and 2 SONOS ONE  aas a home theatre but would like to use sonosnet to free up my wireless. Is it possible to hard wire all of the speakers and hasve them set for home theatre with the ONE as surround ?

Can anyone assist in adding the BBC Sounds to Sonos services. I've followed the usual process for adding the service but as soon as I return to Sonos app I get a message stating unable to add account? Any ideas out there?

Sonos sub feels more pronounced from right side of it ( right frame). so I’m wandering why do I feel the bass less pronounced when standing to its left ( facing it) ?I have done auto tune and tried with and without it. Flipped the phase control to the other setting (than the auto tune set it to) and it was worse.so the autotune got it right.. Anybody had this “issue”?

Just ordered a Sonos mini sub. It would be used mainly for music  with my Sonos one’s in stereo What would be the best position. Never used a Sub before.Thank you

I was wondering if there are plans for a next generation Arc?

We’re setting up a small home theater in a relatively narrow room which necessitates putting the couch directly against the back wall.  I’m planned to get the Arc, 1-2 subs (thoughts/recommendations there?) and then deciding what to do for the surround to create either a 5.1.2 or 5.2.2 system.I know Dolby recommends the rears be above and slightly behind the listener but that’s not possible for us. I’m thinking to get an Amp and either two sonance ceiling or in wall speakers for the rear wall. Ceilings are about 8’ tall.  Any guidance on whether to use the rear wall or in ceiling and placement relative to the couch? Thanks!

Hi all. I’ve got an LG G2 77” coming along with the Arc, Sub and two One SLs for surround. I posted about the rear speaker placement and learned they’re best positioned at ear level slightly behind the listener (but in my case at the sides because the couch is against the wall).I will use either the Sonos stands or the Sanus wall mounts with the One SLs. Thread here with recommendations: https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-228993/arc-5-1-2-or-5-2-2-rear-speakers-with-back-against-the-wall-6876479Next, there’s lots of discussion around whether to mount the Arc on the wall or laying it on a console, and height. Good discussion here: https://en.community.sonos.com/setting-up-sonos-228990/arc-placement-6852427Someone posted that ideally all atmos speakers are equally at ear level about 39.5” off the floor and that you should mount the arc at least 4-5” below the TV for the upfiring speakers to work. That would put the bottom of the TV at aorund 45” and the top at 83.5” with eye lev

Hi I have a problem with my renters always use  my sonos. I’ve tried to tell them not to use it and all that but they never do. I can wake up in the middle of the night because they start to play the music. Why can’t we have a password protection on the sonos S2? This is a big problem because my renters need to have the same Wi-Fi, therefore they have the Wi-Fi password and can easily play on my sonos. On my other devices I can put a password on and they can’t use it. I see the parental option with the password but it says Sonos s2 is not compatible, why is that?

I was forced to change internet providers and received a new router. My ONE connects just fine, but the Play:3 says it cannot connect to the WiFi, and that I should check the password. Now I know that Play:3 doesn't work on 5GHz, so I set up a band steering rule in my router, forcing it to connect to the Play:3 on 2.4GHz. I even did the same for the ONE and my phone (at least temporarily) to make 100% sure everything will be on the same network/frequency during set-up. To no avail. My old router was also set to hybrid 2.5/5GHz and the Sonos products worked without issue. Am at my wits' end here. I'd really like to avoid operating separate 2.4 and 5GHz networks.
