Replaced our WiFi router with a new one. Same network name, same password. Google Nest reconnected fine. Not Sonos, tho.

Sonos app showed the “Fix it” message. Tapped through, and started the “Update your system’s network settings” process. First time, the app just crashed midway through. Started it again, and it failed midway through. Third time now, and the app just hangs (going on 15 min) on the screen that says 2-3 minute process.

@joshdamon,
So are the Google Nest WiFi Hubs ‘bridged’ and setup to run in AP mode, or are you using them as a double NAT setup, where one Nest router/subnet is running off the other (new) router subnet?

If it is the latter, is there a need to have that type of setup? Why don’t you just bridge your router instead and switch off it’s WiFi etc; or put it into modem mode …and then run all just on the Google Nest subnet only - although the best option if you do choose that route, is to cable a Sonos device to the primary Nest Hub and (providing you do not have any portable Sonos products) to remove the WiFi credentials altogether from the Sonos system and run all on wired SonosNet mode instead.

See these two links to perhaps give you other options for the Sonos system setup on your network:

Last time I looked, Google Nest didn’t allow bridge mode except in very limited circumstances.  Therefore on the original router, DHCP was probably disabled and / or WiFi disabled.  So my first question would be: have you disabled DHCP on your new router, or at least disabled wifi?  If not then that would be a good way of sabotaging Sonos.
