Due to connection problems I just had an online chat with support, and he suggested to connect a speaker (besides the already connected Boost) to the wired network. All 11 speakers are on a ‘wifi-vlan’, and both the Boost and One I try to connect are on that VLAN, both as untagged ports. But when I connect an ethernet cable the One, the network times out, unresponsive. Do I need to set anything special on my network devices (vlan) to connect 2 Sonos devices to the network?

Can Playbar connect to Humax STB instead of TV optical out? 

Has anyone on here bought the new “Mountson Premium Wall Mount for Sonos Move”. I’ve just received mine but it comes with the front cover attached, which needs removing to access the screw holes, but I cannot remove it! Hi, I'm looking to join to Sonos ecosystem and have found 2 offers and am wondering which is better. Option 1: 2 play 1s and a play 3 Option 2: 2 play 5s (gen 1)Mostly will be used for listening to music (techno and rap) and also for watching tv.From what I've read the play 5 gen 1s are significantly worse than the gen 2s and any comparisons I can find between 2 play 1s and play 5 (gen 1) say the plays are better due to the stereo pair. But if I had a pair of play 5 (gen 1) that would negate this point so I'm not sure which option I should choose.Thanks.  

I have a Playbar from another home where it was setup S2.   I cannot get it to work on Sonosnet in my other home which is S1. I have tried many things with no luck.   I was suspecting maybe a wifi radio issue but I had no problem testing that theory and the speaker successfully connected to a test wifi setup.   After factory reset, setup is fairly normal.  In S1, add product, speaker is detected with Mac  address but fails afterwards and says device not found.  No problem so I hardwire it and can complete the setup. But when it is unplugged from hardwire it drops off and is no longer visible in app.   The Playbar worked perfectly in other home as a S2 device.  I’m wondering if this is maybe some software glitch relating to the downgrade as I can’t make any sense of this.   I consider myself to be savvy and have a strong understanding of how the product works so I am at a loss at this point.  Will reach out to Sonos after the weekend but I’m hoping some veterans may have some ideas and

I just purchased a home with in-wall speakers and wall controls in about every room. These speaker wires all terminate in the living room near my entertainment cabinet to a Niles  HDS-6L Speaker Control Box. I have a Sonos Playbase and three other Play:1 wireless speakers. I simply want to push the Sonos Playbase audio to these in-home speakers. How to do?

My Move has been playing music through its built-in Alexa fine since I got it a couple years ago, but recently (last couple months) will not pause or stop the music.  It will still skip tracks, volume up/down, etc. but no way to stop the music without turning the Move power off.  I tried disabling/re-enabling the SONOS skill in Alexa and rebooting things to no avail.  It is VERY annoying seeing as how it used to work fine for years….and my network setup (router, etc) has not changed in that time.

Hi All,I have got a Sonos Amp which is connected to some ceiling speakers in kitchen which I use for music only (in kitchen/outdoor area). I recently bought a Sonos Arc which I have connected to my LG B7 TV fire the HMDI Arc port. I was just wondering if there would be any benefit to connecting my AMP to my TV and then my Arc to my AMP? or even if thats possible. When money permits I am hoping to get Sub and surrounds etc over time also.  Main reason I ask is I seem to get Dolby 5.1 or 5.1 plus come through on Arc when I check sonos app, but never Dolby Atmos. possible its just what I am watching is not supporting atmos?ThanksGeoff

I purchased a Sonos Beam a few years ago and when it was connected to my very old Samsung Smart TV when I adjusted the volume up and down I saw volume control numbers on my TV.  When I upgraded my TV to a new Samsung Smart TV and connected my Sonos Beam the volume indicated on the left side of the screen does not show any volume level numbers, Just a Plus and Minus symbol.  Today, we had a very brief power outage and the TV displayed a picture while the Beam was still powering up and when I adjusted the volume I noticed that before the Beam was operational the TV had volume level numbers but once the Sonos powered up, it was back to Plus and Minus.  So obviously there’s something with the Sonos that’s controlling what the TV displays and what it doesn’t.  So my question is this..Is there a setting within the BEAM to that controlling the display that I can adjust so I can actually see the volume level? 

My Buffalo Linkstation NAS serves as my media storage and general data storage.My Sonos system sees my NAS and happily plays my music.However, having added new music it now won’t update my music index.and says //linkstation/music not found, despite still happily playing music off the linkstation. I am somewhat confused...

Just completely reset all pieces in my Office, re-added to the system.  All is good, then all devices in Office drop out.  Comes back, Sub only.  All back on, then right One drops.  Now left One and Sub are off.  Not an IP address conflict.  Nothing else in my house is having any interference, Just my Sonos in the Office.  Extremely frustrating.  1399813945

Hi,  I have a beam with 2 Sonos One as surround speaker connected to my tv ( Beam to ARC). I also have a Windows 10 PC connected to the TV with and hdmi cable that I use for gaming and listening Youtube. I play game on the PC using the TV as monitor. In the pc audio setting, I select the TV as the audio outpout. Normally, the game or Youtube sound is surround 5.1. I use this setup for a while now and all was working fine till today. Now, the sound only come out of the Beam (no surround). I guess the issues come from my pc because if I listen TV or Netflix, the surround sound work well. I also know that the speaker are well configured because if I use the 3 piece separatly, they all play the PC sound (at the same time if I use party mode). I made a few search and see that in the PC’s sound setting, in the TV speaker property, I only have the stereo option, no 5.1 sound option, like if the PC was not recognizing the home theater connected to the TV. The device cannot get more than 2 chan

Thanks for any help I can get. I am pretty much a wash-out with technology. Okay. For a long time, I enjoyed uising TuneIn with my Sonos 1 app on an android phone. But I just bought an Apple i phone 13 and installed Sonos 2. ( Took me forever! ). But when I try to TuneIn and select “LOCATIONS,” only a few of the station icons light up and allow access. I don’t get it. Sonos 1 on the Android allowed easy and immediate access to all stations no matter where. Does this mean that I have to type in an address for each/any radio station I might want to listen to and then hit “Search?” Thanks for thje help.Phil GarmeyLynchburg, Virginia

I have a Sonos one linked with my sub.  The sun will cut out intermittently.  Both are plugged directly into my wireless router (which is plugged directly into modem)  help 

I run a split system, usually without issue. However after the Desktop S1 app recently got confused and needed a Reset, one of my Play:5 Gen 1s has become quarantined. It shows in the ZoneGroupState like this:The IP address is correct, but the name is wrong (that is the name of a Beam Gen 2 on my S2 system).If I run the S1 Mobile app, it lists “Den” as “Needs update”. If I try to take the update, it says none is available.How do I get my Play:5 back into a usable state?

HelloI have an LG OLED65CX6LA TV connected via eARC to a Sonos ARC purchased last November. Working perfectly during all this time. It is connected to a Sub and two Play3 as rear speakers.Since yesterday the remote control of the TV has stopped working and I have to adjust the volume of the bar with the iPhone or with the touch buttons on the bar. The TV remote works perfectly with the internal speakers of the TV. I have changed the HDMI cable to rule out a malfunction of it. I have reset the bar to factory values ​​but the problem persists. For a while the remote worked but the sound switched between the bar and the TV's internal speakers.The sound from the bar is still perfect and I can comfortably watch movies in Atmos and Dolby Digital. But I can't adjust the volume. The only way to do this is to watch TV through a second-generation Apple TV 4K. The Apple TV remote works perfectly through the IR port of the ARC.The TV updated WebOS a couple of days ago but the problem appeared yest

Whenever I play music in the house via an Alexa command, it doesn’t crossfade and the crossfade option is actually greyed out in the Sonos app. Anyone have a solution? 

Hello all, just a quick question to ask what content people are playing that provides Dolby Atmos True HD?.4k Blu-ray seems to be one but what else?.Still weighing up options, I have an Nvidia Shield Pro that is capable of 4k and Atmos True HD output from streaming services.Is Dolby Digital Atmos compressed noticeable poorer than Atmos True HD?.I presume best Netflix offer is DD+?.

I can control the volume using my Android app fine. When I press the volume button on the Playbase directly however, it only adjust the volume for the Playbase itself, not the Play 1 remote speakers. Used to work until I moved system to a different house.

Hey everybody,we are having troubles to connect our Sonos Beam (+ 2x Sonos One SL) to our projector Epson EH-TW7000. Our end goal is to have 5.1 Sound. Our main input is a FireTV Stick.The projector doesn’t have any HDMI Arc output nor an optical. I already bought a HDMI Matrix Switch and tried to connect it with the optical adapter that came with the beam as I noticed the HDMI Arc doesn’t work. I’ve used Sonos in my RV for years. The Connect, Boost, and two Play:1s were all S1. I bought a Roam, which naturally was S2. I converted all components to S2. Since then, I have been unable to load music from my NAS, which functioned fine with the S1 system. For example:I have a share ‘\\MyBookLiveDuo\Jazz’ … That will not save in the iOS version of the app when setting up the music library. Nothing top level share will save, including in the MacOS. Under S1 I could load a top level share without a problem.I can add to the app on all devices a share called ‘\\MyBookLiveDuo\Jazz\Dexter Gordon‘ and it shows in the list as it should and says ‘Hey we’re indexing, please wait.’ I then check the library under Artists and it says nothing found. The share is still listed under Music Library Setup.Same thing happens on my MacBook.Streaming music from Sirius works on all components from all devices flawlessly. S2 screwed up my ability to use my music library on the road. I can see the NAS drive

Did CBC or Sonos change something with the CBC Radio and Music service since last week? I’m suddenly getting a message that “CBC Music On Air...is no longer available on CBC Radio and Music” when I try to play it. I listen to this station almost every day and it likely makes up 95% of my Sonos usage, so obviously I’m not happy about this.I live in the U.S. so I’m wondering if CBC started geoblocking its service or if this is due to some other issue.

Hi,I set up a new Beam2 to an LG LCD tv via HDMI Arc. When I turn off TV and turn on again after about 5 seconds I get a  Sonos screen. I have to manually select the cable tv HDMI 2 input.  Only happens when I turn off and on TV.  Any suggestions?David

I have been forced to update my Sonos app but it keeps showing error code 800.  I have tried every way to reset it but it’s unsuccessful.  Now my S2 controller just can’t control my Sonos anymore.  Is there anything that I can do?  Can I simply reset the ownership of my system and re-set it up again?  I’m totally lost…….. Thanks.
