My Sonos Roam, which is only about a year old, has a quickly flashing red battery light. The speaker is functioning properly, but I can’t get the light to stop. I see this was a problem with the move. Anyone else having this problem or know how to stop it?

Hello, I have 2 x play 3’s, 2 x play 5’s, Gen3 Sub and a playbar. I currently have my playbar, 2 x play 3’s and sub connected together which for TV and movies great. My play 5’s are for music and setup as another room but I cannot seem to use the Sub with the play 5’s for music… I.e. I don’t know how to connect the sub to both rooms… so when playing music I have the sub and when watching TV I have the sub… hope that makes sense…help please! Or should I just reset the whole system and start a fresh understanding the above requirement? One of my speakers is hard wired into my WiFi router for ease of set up and ALL my speakers are in the same room at the moment…

So according all sources AAC 5.1 codec is not supported for Sonos home theatre products, specifically in my case, the Playbase [with 2x Play 1’s and a Sub]However, my PC is my media source, connected to the Playbase via an optical cable.I have long suspected I’m getting surround sound from AAC 5.1 encoded files - but this is not possible right? However I’ve just downloaded an AAC 5.1 test file:Fraunhofer Test Filewhich seems to deliver accurate 5.1 sound.Confused.Is it possible that my PC’s soundcard is decoding the audio channel before sending it down the optical cable and is bypassing the Sonos processing?

per the title, I can relocate 2 One gen 2s from another room and swap those with the One gen1s currently serving as surrounds to a Beam Gen 2. Is there any benefit? I am wondering if the gen2 Ones may have some features that will slightly improve the sound of the Beam gen 2 and current Ones.

My lounge is approx. 20ft x 12ft. we have the usual stuff, couple of sofas etc. But my question is this, will my sound experience be improved enough by the sub mini when i add it to my playbase or will it feel lost because of the size of the room? I don’t have surround speakers but am thinking of getting some.

I would like to have music play on my AV system (I have a denon AV-X4400H) when I start it on my sonos system via the app or voice commands and I would also like the Sonos system to play the music when I have music started from my AV system. Is this possible?    Also, can the HDMI on your sonos connect be used as INPUT to an amplifier?

Hi, I am unable to connect to my products after upgrading to iOS 16 on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.I’ve made sure there is no interference, VPNs and such.I’ve deleted and reinstalled with no luck.My wife can still connect fine as she is still on iOS 15. Any advice?

Hello.  I’ve been googling and searching these forums, but not still quite sure the most ideal solution for my situation (There may not be one).  We’re installing a new patio and the landscaper offered to trench and lay the speaker wire for my outdoor speaker setup.  I’m looking at the Sonance MAG Series 6.1 that comes with the Sonos Amp.  I’d house the amp in my basement and run the speaker wire outside.  I was thinking while I’m able to run wires/cables underground it would be great if I could set something up if we ever wanted to bring a TV or projector out using the sonance speakers for the audio.  I’ve seen options for HDMI extenders through Ethernet or maybe even just HDMI.  My problem is we won’t have a tv or projector out there all the time so any cable/devices I run would just be sitting out in plain site in the elements when not in use.  Any thoughts on what I could do to use the Sonos system outside for occasional TV/projection viewing?  I am by no means an expert in any of

I  have Windows 11; Tuneblade 1.8.0.0 and an original Sonos One.My goal is to use Tuneblade to stream to my stereo receiver and the Sonos One simultaneously. Tuneblade plays to my Denon stereo without a problem. The Tuneblade app does not automatically find my Sonos One.FWIW, I also tried Stream What You Hear 1.5 and it finds the Sonos One (but it will only stream to one device at a time).I tried setting up the Sonos One in Tuneblade manually. I know the IP address but not the Port number and frankly don’t know which Airplay Receiver to choose:Airport ExpressApple TV 1,2 3,4Speakers/HifiShairPoint.TIA, Brian

Hi, I got a Sonos One, set up the app, connected Tidal, all works great. Is there any way to get autoplay to work through the app? Normally, when you finish a playlist on Tidal, it switches to “track radio” and plays continuously . Can’t seem to find this option though the Sonos app. Thanks

I have a Sonos Arc with IKEA back speakers.  Will the new Mini Sub work with this arrangement?  I have a fairly small living room.  Probably a stupid question but all of the information I see references the ‘smaller’ sound bars.

Evening folks …. this really is Sonos development week for me. Thanks to all those helping me sort nearly half a dozen issues this week. And some days to go yet 😀Just firing up my Roam to check all well for a trip next week. Playback of music sources all seem fine (Amazon / Tidal) and also Audible. But TuneIn only allows selected channels to play best I can see.BBC World is fine, Kerrang is fine. But BBC Radio 4 or Radio Shropshire for example, shows the channel graphic but zero audio output?Checked it’s up to date but otherwise I’m at a bit of a loss as to why. Not a frequent radio users and indeed only added the TuneIn service to the app yesterday.Grateful for any direction why mainstream channels so not appear to be working.Plan was to take this for a lengthy trip and run it off mobile. I was only testing Norton VPN to see if that was working ok and then found this one.EDIT: Just continuing to look at this and it turns out it’s not just the Roam but all my Sonos devices not seeing

Getting my money’s worth today …. third post 😀Have a sub that I’ve owned since new (think a gen 2) and has worked perfectly to date. But I did a few component move arounds and this one previously doing duty in the kitchen was moved to the hall ….. the kitchen redecoration lent itself to a new Gen 3 in white.Came to connect it up just and it works but dropped in and out on initial playback then dropped out altogether when I moved it to its side. I reset it and added it again upright and seems be working fine now. But I wondered if it was good practice put it on its side or if there was a sensor that cut it out when not upright?Reason to put it on side was purely cosmetic as it fitted under a footstool. That proved to be also a bad idea on a wood floor as the limited time it has sat there, it sustained surface scratches. But surprised it prove be a problem operationally on it’s side …. or am I convincing myself of mixed facts/circumstances?Nothing unusual about the unit save to say that

Does anyone know if Sonos make a case for the Roam? (When travelling with it, a protective case would be really useful)

I understand that using a Sonos Connect to play my turntable to the Sonos Arc is a cheaper than using the Port.  But, will I need a pre-amp to use the Connect or the Port.  My turntable is an older Sherwood turntable.

I am based in the UK and have my Sky Q hdmi output connected to my Hue Synch box, which is then connected to my LG 65inch OLED TV. All is working fine until I plug in my Beam via the eARC HDMI output. Plugging in the Beam causes the synch box to keep crashing. The only way I can use them both together is to have my Beam connected to the optical output from my Sky Q box, losing the Atmos capability. Surely as most of the UK uses Sky we should not be getting this conflict. I am not sure what the Beam is outputting that causes the issue.

Hi I have 2 NAS drives at home and have connected them to the Sonos. I can see the folders, tracks etc however they will not play through the Sonos app (These are MP3 format). Has anyone come across this and is there a fix?

Hello. Could anyone in the know kindly advise what the Sonos sub mini box dimensions are and what the shipping weight (with packaging) of the set is please? I'm trying to assess shipping costs/options. TQ.

Hi! I’m trying to add a Connect Amp as surround speakers for Playbase. The problem is that my router is upstairs, i.e. nowhere near these devices. My question is can I wire the Playbase and Connect Amp via Ethernet cables to router 1 that sits downstairs but isn’t connected to the internet AND have the devices use router number 2 upstairs for wifi and Internet access? As far as I know, using the Connect Amp for surround speakers wouldn’t need internet access via the Ethernet cable, just the signal from the TV via TOSLINK. But then I could play music off the Internet via wifi when needed. Is this possible or a pipe dream? =D

HiI am facing strange issue with DHCP. In my network i have two piholes running as DNS and DHCP server. All clients seems to be ok with this setup except sonos devices (arc, sub and 2 ikeas symfonisk)Devices simply refuses to accept offered ip address. Here is the example of communicationSep 28 23:04:53 dnsmasq-dhcp[957]: DHCPDISCOVER(eth0) 54:2a:1b:65:67:14 Sep 28 23:04:53 dnsmasq-dhcp[957]: DHCPOFFER(eth0) 192.168.2.31 54:2a:1b:65:67:14 Sep 28 23:04:53 dnsmasq-dhcp[957]: DHCPREQUEST(eth0) 192.168.2.31 54:2a:1b:65:67:14 Sep 28 23:04:53 dnsmasq-dhcp[957]: DHCPNAK(eth0) 192.168.2.31 54:2a:1b:65:67:14 wrong server-IDIf i disable one of those DHCP server everything works as expected.DHCP servers have the same static leases and of course dynamic ip ranges does not overlap.I think that for some reason sonos device doesnt expect to get 2 ip offers at the same time and replies with “wrong server-id”Can you please let me know if this is something that can be fixed. Thanks & RegardsMichal

Hello,When using my spotify on Sonos, my music keeps skipping tracks or stopping completely. The strange thing is, if my wife plays the same spotify account on Sonos from her phone, no issue. Only when i press “play” on my phone does the issue occur. If i use “Sonos radio” from my phone, no issue. We have two spotify accounts connected and I have tried toggling between both from my sonos app on my phone without luck.Given the information above, i would think to rule out internet speed/connectivity (since everything works fine on her phone) and also any spotify account issues (since these also work fine from her phone).  Thoughts?

I have a full home Sonance in-ceiling setup. 4 zones each using 1 Connect each. Recently one of those zones stopped functioning properly. The zone has 2 in-ceiling speakers. Max volume has always been limited to 85% so don’t see how it would be a “blown speaker” issue. When I turn the volume all the way up (so 100% of 85%) I can hear music playing very softly on both, almost like it’s at 2% volume.Every other zone is working fine. I disconnected/reconnected the power and outputs from the Connect but that didn’t solve anything. Not sure what to try next. Obviously with the system/speakers being in-ceiling its not going to be easy to follow wire terminations, so hoping it wouldn’t be that.

SiriusXM alarms quit working today. When I try to start a channel none are listed and it shows unable to browse music. Also my SiriusXM account is greyed out when I look at the. diagnostic 1131391212

Hi,Reasonably new to this, so please be patient. 😎I have just upgraded from a Playbar to the Arc, which obviously leaves me with what to do with the Playbar.Where the Arc now is I currently have 2 Play 3’s used as surround sound. However, in the room I am thinking of moving the Playbar to I have two ones.My question is am I better moving the Ones to match up with the Arc so that all the latest items are together, for best sound, or am I best leaving the 3’s where they are as I presume they are more powerful?the next question would then be if I set up the Playbar with the Ones, would that stop them from being able to play in Ulta HD on Amazon music, as the Playbar isn’t up to it?Hope this makes sense

Hi all ,Im looking to purchase my first ever sonos product .im looking for a great speaker to listen music at home. I’m weighing up whether getting the latest generation or two older generation sonos ones? any advice greatly appreciated
