Hey, I’m just looking for advice on height audio settings for my room. My ceiling is probably 8-9 feet from the ground and I am seated 8 feet or so from my Sonos ARC. My ARC is 2-2.5 feet from the ground also. Also any advice on how to true tune properly would be appreciated. I watched the video on the app of the lady moving her phone around and videos I’ve found on YouTube vary slightly from how the sonos setup video depicts. Thanks everyone for you’re input in advance.

Hello.I need to connect the arc soundbar, the Sub (Gen 3) and 6 Sonos Architectural by Sonance speakers and TV. How many AMPs do I need?Thank you

Hi everyone,I'm facing big problems with dolby surround recently - it seems to be connected to the 14.16 update. My livingroom setup contains a Sonos Amp with 2 Stereo speakers connected and 2 Play:1 as surround speakers. Since today (apparently the auto-update ran earlier this morning) the Dolby Surround output does not work anymore. Sound is only coming through the 2 analog stereo speakers in the front. In the past 5.1 sound was distributed correctly between all speakers (as in the setup there is no "center” the center channel is divided to the two fronts)I did a surround channel test using an XBOX Series X and could confirm that only the 2 front channels are working. When it is supposed to play the center, rear, or sub channel the speakers remain silent. This is only happening for Dolby Digital - the surround test for DTS is working as expected, all channels are active and the center channel is distributed to the two fronts.Additionally, the S2 App shows "Dolby Digital 2.0” as input

My Roam has stop working - I tried to reset - reboot but nothing happens -

Hi, just bought Sonos One SL Shadow Edition. Trying to find out the manufacturer date or if I have airplay 1 or 2 serial A201 2207CP [Redacted]

Hey, what is the secret to streaming podcasts on a Sonos speaker.  I have added Spotify already and I’m able to play music just fine because songs and/or artists come up in the Sonos app search on the , no problem.  However, if I wanna stream a podcast on my Sonos and do a search in the "podcasts & shows" on my Sonos app none of the podcasts in my Spotify library come up.  What is the secret here?  I used to listen to podcasts on Sonos all of the time. Please advise!

Hi,I’m implementing my own SOAP Webservice based on the provided WSDL. At the provided WSDL the trailing slash is replaced by a # before the action.Ex.: http://www.sonos.com/Services/1.1#searchAt my implementation the action URL si the followingEx.: http://www.sonos.com/Services/1.1/search So the calls to my SOAP Webservice fail with the following error:System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction: http://www.sonos.com/Services/1.1#search. I’ve already added my custom music service to the device at the APP but I get no calls to the API My Web Service is implemented with C# ASMX

I have 2 Play 5s (first generation) I can use each one separately, or grouped with my Playbar on the S1 app, but when I try to create a stereo pair i get past pressing the volume up button on the left speaker and then geta message saying “There was a problem creating the stereo pair. Please try again”Any ideas what the issue could be? I can’t figure it out as both units work independently and also when in a group, but if i try to group the two 5s together, it doesn’t work.

I disabled the WiFi on amp (since its plugged in ethernet) but when I do this the sub stops working on WiFi.Do both have to be either on WiFi or ethernet in order to work?

Wanting to airplay a video from ipad to my sonos beam which is then connected to a monitor. Does the beam only output audio and no video?

I have 4 Connects (plus a Roam) on my Sonos 2 system. They are connected to my Bose speakers in 4 rooms. The speakers in 3 rooms are working fine, but 1 room is not. It happens to be the large main room on my system, where there are several speakers which are controlled by Bose. All 4 Connects and the Roam show up in “about my Sonos system”.I realize this might be a Bose problem, but I have tried everything on my Bose remote without success, so I thought I would post here first. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi i’ve been having a problem with my set up for some time now.  I have Sky Q which i watch on a samsung tv. My sonos bean is connected by arc hdmi, and there are 2 play 1’s connected vis the wifi as surround sound.  Often, but not always, when I turn on the TV the sound does not work. Sometimes it will play sound for around 1 second, then go off. Other times, just no sound.  To get it to work I have to turn the TV off and back on, usually a few times - sometimes 8 or more times! Quite frustrating.  Can anyone help with this issue??  Ive read a few similar ish posts and have restarted my equipement, checked TV is on autoplay, and am all up to date.  I have also just swapped the HDMI lead in case that was a problem. Time will tell.  Thanks!

I have audio recordings of children’s books I’ve made for my kids. I have it set up so I can stream them from my Drobo 5N2 media server. This works well for things like Plex on my smart TV, but I am having issues with streaming audio to Sonos. It works well most of the time, but then will suddenly skip the current track and start playing the next one. I have confirmed that it is inconsistent whether a given track is skipped, and there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with the media files. Here is my diagnostic number: 783586731. The Play:1 device is called “Playroom” that has been skipping the tracks.Thank you.

hi guys...can you please help me to update my sonos product?….am not able because am using an old firmware

I currently have an Immersive set with Arc, Sub, & 2 One SL’s. Would I be able to add a Sub Mini to my current system?

I have a 25 year old Cambridge Audio CD player plugged directly into a Sonos Five. Most CDs sound great, but some newer CDs sound distorted. How do I fix this? Do I need a new CD player?

I recently upgraded to an LG C1 with my Sonos Arc (running in home theater with a pair of Ones and a sub) and love it...until I tried to get a new UHD player (Sony X700) that supports Dolby Vision and ran into the dreaded problem where DTS signals are only getting downmixed as PCM Stereo. I’ve read the monster thread on this topic (linked below) on the Panasonic UB820 and it seems it has the same issues. What’s incredibly frustrating is that clearly the TV is capable of passing through LPCM properly if the player converts DTS to it, as I have this working with DTS tracks on my Xbox Series X and PS5 -- but neither of them support Dolby Vision for disc playback (so frustrating).I’m willing to spend money to solve the problem but do not want to get an HD Fury Arcana if I can at all avoid it because I don’t want to add an HDMI switch to my setup and I think that’s unavoidable with multiple components and the Arcana. Worst-case scenario I suppose I will use the PS5 for discs with DTS tracks

Please can someone help Virgin Radio keeps cutting in and out when trying to listen to it? Only recently started occurring but as it’s the only thing we listen to on Sonos quite frustrating.

What to do?

Hello there everyone, is there anyway to connect the sounds from my computer (ie Youtube) to my Sono system?

Hi, I have the optical feed stutter from my playbase. I’ve submitted diagnostics 1070387794 in case that helps. The stutter was particularly bad just before I pressed the submit diagnostics buttton. Then it was milder during the submit. It’s settled down again since and might be like this for a few hours until it randomly starts up again. I’ve replaced the optical cable without making any improvement. What else could be causing this? ThanksMark.

I just got wireless fives and a wireless subwoofer. I’m trying to pair it to my samsung smart tv. They automatically synced to my tv since they are on the same router. I cant get them to play though when watching tv. It doesn’t give me the option to choose them as surround sound. Not sure if I need to get a sound bar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Says it can't stop music while in tv mode and I didn't ask it anything.

I’m looking to add Amazon music to my browser on Sonos play1. When I go to the list of music providers through the services & voice tab it brings up a list of providers with Apple Music being at the top, yet Amazon music isn’t there to select (I’ve scrolled through & tried searching for it), neither is Spotify for that matter. Does anyone know how to resolve this as I only pay subscription to Amazon music. I’m in the UK so it should be there shouldn’t it?

Morning all,Been meaning to install a new Play 5 for some time and at last got round to it last night. Working nicely but cannot see InTune radio options on the Android S2 app. I can see it on the laptop on Windows.Reason to upgrade the old Play 5 for a new one was to get the last couple of devices off S1 and it’s mainly a radio access device.I can see Sonos Radio but it’s not so easy see where to access things like BBC Radio 4 ….  a lot of more abstract BBC channels and indeed some it’s very useful to have …. e.g CNN radio. But is InTune or more normal / localised means of accessing UK based radio channels still on the app? Most likely I’m missing something hugely obvious but it’s not jumping out at me. I don’t tend to use radio so much but the wife does being the more educated one. Appreciate any direction on this. Many thanksApp screenshotWindows screeshot
