I find the Sonos support site most frustrating!!  It seems that every topic is discussed for every Sonos product!  What happened to the old concept of a user nmanual for each product?A simple question - can I control my Amp using Alexa?  I have spent a great deal of time trying to work through “Set up an Amazon Alexa device to control Sonos”, but without any success!!Any ideas?

Hi everyone. I am trying to setup my Symfonisk using the Sonos app. When setting up the app ask me to go to the IOS accessory settings to connect my Symfonisk with my wifi. While I click on the black button I get a window saying ‘searching information about your network’ ‘looking for my network name’. Suddenly I get a list of all the networks in my building, but mine is not on the list. Wich I find very strange because every other device that needs wifi can find my network, even my iPhone which I am using to setup the symfonisk. Does anyone have a solution?

Please help!!I have tried everything to fix my system, including having my AV tech come out and still issues.I currently have 2x beams 2x amps ,a port, a five and a move. We recently had a Linksys AX5300 (Mesh six) router installed sonos worked right for 30 mins then started skipping during music then each room fell out of system during a Sonos update which created a nightmare of being stuck in update on 1 amp and 1 beam which pretty much locked the system.I spend hours on the phone trouble shooting have hard wired the Five to the hub router and finally got all rooms back updated and on the system. (Created SonosNet with help of Sonos Support) after rebooting and resetting everything several times. Alexa worked for 5 mins after getting off the phone. I called back and the support person said the could only see the Five and the Move even though I could see all rooms. Now I can still see my rooms but music will not play I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Hi everyone.  I’m experiencing a random crackle from my outdoor speakers.  I can’t distinguish a patter for when this happens.  I can turn it up to almost max volume and it sounds fine.  It seems to happen after listening to music for an hour or so.  And when it happens, I can typically pause the music for a minute or so, and turn the music back on and it sounds fine.The other articles and forums have mentioned audio interference before.  To remedy this, I hardwired the AMP to my router.  But random crackle still happens.  I wired the speakers using 14 gauge wire.  And the speakers are less than 50 feet from the AMP.  I do have a google nest camera between the two outdoor speakers.  I’m also wondering if the crackle could be due to the speaker wires running too close to electrical currents.  As I’ve routed the speaker wires pretty close to the outlet that my TV and the AMP are plugged into.  Any tips, ideas, or suggestions would be appreciated!Thank you!

I use Apple Music through my Sonos and used it successfully in the past. What has started happening recently is that I select apple music, then get asked to re-authorise the account, which I do and get a message stating setup is complete, when I click on done, the Sonos message states it is unable to browse music, so I click back to the main menu to select Apple music again and repeat the same process with the same result. My phone that I have the app installed on is a Samsung S20 with the Version 14.12 of the Sonos app installed. I have deleted apple music several times from Sonos and re-installed as suggested by Sonos online support team and I use apple music fine on my phone with my Samsung buds but I can’t seem to get Sonos to recognise the apple music account any longer. Has anyone else had this issue recently and does anyone have a solution?

I am using Roon with my main Hi Fi system and was thinking of buying a Play 5 for the dining room and wondered if it is possible to stream to the Play 5 from Roon ?

Alexa will open BBC Sounds on request and ask me which station I would like. It will announce the requested station but nothing happens just SILENCE  Works through the App so no issue with adding BBC Sounds as a service or linking the account. Thi issue also becam a problem in the same way in the latter days of BBC radio through TuneIn. 

My sub has been connected to my beam for well over a year and out of the blue last night it started making a loud static / white noise sound. I unplugged and restarted it and now the sound has stopped, but can’t get any audio through.  I disconnected and reconnected the sub via the app. Reset the sub to factory settings, rebooted my router and tried connecting via a Ethernet cable, but nothing seems to work.  I’m out of ideas… diagnostic number 213818091 thanks!

Hi teamI recently bought a Beam Gen 2 but have noticed that when watching Disney+ content via the app on my TV that content does not play the audio as Dolby 5.1 even though the show or movie says it supports in in the details tab. Standard broadcast TV and Prime plays in 5.1 but not Disney+.Has anyone else encounter this or know how to rectify it?

I’ve got an outdoor space that we recently expanded. Right now I’ve got two speakers (NHT O2-ARC’s if it helps) running in Dual Mono Mode but with the new space three speakers would fit better. I could fit 4, but it really feels like overkill.  Will running three speakers long-term from the Sonos Amp cause any problems with uneven volume from the speakers, longevity concerns for the Amp itself due to uneven load across the channels, or anything else I might not be thinking off? Thanks everyone!!

I purchased this abought 6 or 7 years ago because of the sound.  I totally regret it because of the frequent Wi-Fi drops and problems reconnecting.  But it always eventually reconnected after screwing with it 30  or 40 minutes. So the other night when I was sleeping, I play white noise over it, it disconnected and will not reconnect with all the usual tricks.  I did connect it to a LAN line and it then connected, but as soon I as I disconnected it to put it back in my bedroom on Wi-Fi, it again would not connect.  I read on here about updates that were not supported by the Play:1, what do I do?   I’m about to smash this thing.   

This only happens with Spotify.  Apple Music or Pandora have no issues.  When I stream the same playlist over phone or computer via Spotify there are no issues.  On the Sonos system at work when I stream Spotify playlist they also skip at work just like with my home Sonos system.  There is something with your Sonos/Spotify integration that is triggering this skipping condition or more susceptible to triggering a skip with Spotify

Hi all,I can’t seem to get my Ray via the app to recognise my Hitachi TV remote so that I can adjust the volume (the remote still only adjusts TV speaker volume). When setting up (volume up x3) the Ray flashes, but the app says it can’t detect a remote and I can’t find a set up/ help guide to fix the issue.I’d appreciate any ideas! I’m using the hitachi TV alongside an Apple TV. Thank you so much. 

Hi all - I have a Connect and currently have it set up to receive audio form my turntable’s preamp and then output to two active speakers, it sounds lovely. I have a headphone amplifier and DAC set up to listen to audio from my PC, laptop or whatever I connect to the DAC and want to see if I can somehow listen to the “line in” from there. My question: has anyone found a way to stream the audio from a Connect or Port to a laptop or PC? Kind of a reverse set up. I would like to listen to my vinyl using my headphones sometimes rather than having to listen through speakers.My desk set up is not too near my connect so it would require a lot of RCA cable to connect the output of the connect to my headphone amplifier. 

Hello AllOld topic I know.I used a Linksys EA6100 for years, but it now struggles with range, signal strength and signal in general falls out. I wanted to upgrade within a reasonable budget (for my use) to a router with a usb3 connection. All the music I play is stored on a SSD HDD connected directly to the router. On the Linksys, I could index the entire 400gb music in one go, no problems what so ever, but with the new routers I have tried, nothing works. Anyone know what is wrong and what to do?New router 1: TP-Link AC1750 Archer C8 v3. It instantly fails out with “HDD has lost power or the path is wrong” weirdly I can index one artis folder no problem, but several. Not a chance.New Router 2: ASUS RT-AX56U. I did as told by disabling Airtime Fairness on both 2.4 and 5 GHz but it instantly goes into the same “your HDD has lost power or path I wrong”. I have both sonos one and play one using S1 app and has been working fine until recently. Cannot use spotify in S1 app as it is saying I need to update app for it to work - link then wants me to update to S2 app despite the play 1 being incompatible. I am left being unable to use spotify for my system which is what I mainly use it for.I have reset apps, deleted and downloaded, restarted system but no joy. Anyone have any tips?

We have a job that requires 4 in-ceiling Sonance AS38RS Speakers. Another zone would have 2 Sonance AS38RS Speakers.I just want to know will a Sonos Amp be able to handle 2 or 4 of these speakers or should we use a passive amp and Sonos port?AS38RS Impediance is 10 ohms nominal; 8 ohms minimum (100W max) each

I have a sonos one, beam, port, and move.  Created one group, called it “all” and initially everything worked beautifully.  But recently, it almost never works that all play.  I can get two to play together and then turn off others and then the other two may play together.  Really frustrated.  Help!

Theres a ton of questions on this and other forums about surround speakers not working well when PCM (Stereo) feed is detected and it seems there is a setting missing from the “Surround Audio” page of the controller.This is especially the case in my set up, where my speakers are used primarily to fill the space in a large area so that music primarily fills the room, this set up works really well with stereo audio sources and really comes to life when we use surround sound (and apple spatial audio does this well).However every time we come across a video source where stereo (PCM) audio is present, the ambient rear speakers just are not powerful enough to fill the room. We have the option for Audio sources in the “Surround Audio” settings that allow for Ambient or Full Music Playback which is great for audio, but we need the exact same option for Stereo PCM (Video Equivalent) - Maybe this could even be solved by a tick box that just says “apply these settings to PCM Audio”Obviously I rea

There are several system design issues that I cannot get around.  Please advise.I have two separate locations in which I own and regularly use 19 Sonos devices. This includes one Roam that I take back and forth between sites.  I have Amazon Echos to control the speakers, along with the Sonos app on my phone and my PC.Problem: I cannot use Alexa with both networks at the same time (even though Alexa has no problems controlling other devices across separate networks).Details: In order to control Sonos devices with Alexa, I must use the Sonos skill in the Alexa app. When I enable the skill, Alexa knows I have Sonos speakers on two separate networks, and asks me to select one by listing the Sonos devices that are on each network. Once selected, things work fine on the selected network, but do not work on the other. When I wish to change locations, I must disable the skill in the Alexa app and re-enable by choosing the other network. This breaks the first.  If I am in location A but my wife

Hello. Before I return my speakers - I thought I would check here for advice/ideas. I have 2 kids who do not have tablets/phones in their rooms. They do have their own Spotify accounts on my family plan. I bought 2 gen 2 Sonos One speakers hoping I could put then in their rooms and set speaker 1 to leverage Alexa to play Spotify account 1, and speaker 2 to leverage Alexa to play Spotify account 2. I see that I am able to associate multiple Spotify accounts within the Sonos app, but it appears that I can only able to select 1 account to play on either given speaker. Further, when 1 speaker plays music, the other speaker is not able to play different music. For example, if speaker 1 plays song A, and speaker 2 starts song B, then speaker 1 stops playing song A.  My goal is to allow kid 1 to listen to Spotify account 1, and kid 2 to listen to Spotify account 2 at the same time, without conflict, and to have this able to be controlled via voice controls. I have a set of Dali Rubicon 2 stereo speakers that I was planning to be run by a Sonos Amp. I have been told (not tried yet), that the Amp will not have sufficient power. The setup is primarly to be used as a stereo for music, but I also wanted to be able to connect TV sound.  Any recommendations how to setup my stereo speakers?Can I use a Beam connected to the TV and stream audio to a Port connected to external amplifier for the speakers? Will the be a delay?

Bonjour J'ai actuellement un système sonos 5.0 composé d'une playbar et de 2 sonos play:1 en surround pour le home cinéma et une chaîne denon df107 pour la musique. J'ai pour projet de remplacer tout ça par le sonos amp nouvelle génération associé à deux enceintes bibliothèques qui restent à définir connecté en HDMI à la tv. J'ai plusieurs questions à ce sujet :- est-il pertinent de remplacer une playbar, pour laquelle je suis déçu de la spatialisation stéréo, par un sonos amp ?- que penser de l'effet surround généré par les 2 play:1 associé à l’amp? Les effets sont ils bien gérés? Existe-t-il une dégradation à ce niveau là par rapport à la playbar?

I contacted Sonos 3 separate times to find out what devices support Trueplay (please do NOT send me links to Trueplay compatible devices on Sonos site. I’ve seen it and it doesn’t tell me anything.) I was told that the iPad gen 8 WAS compatible with Trueplay so I bought a used one and come to find out it doesn’t work. I was also told by others on forums etc. that it would work also. Between this and the last update I’m at my wits end. Why can’t Sonos put out a complete list of every individual ios device that supports Trueplay. Now I’m out hundreds of dollars. No, I don’t know anybody that I can borrow a device from. Can anybody tell me exactly which iPads (not iPhones) support Trueplay please!!!
