Good evening, Last month I installed the Sonos Amp with two outdoor speakers on the back patio. The Amp is in our pool house and we enjoying streaming music with the S2 app.  I'd like to set up an outdoor projector so the kids can watch movies, and ideally have the sound play through the speakers (S2 app)?  From my research I'm hearing that I need a projector with HDMI arc?  If this is the case I cannot find an outdoor projector with this option.  Any thoughts?  I have a Samsung Note 11 for a phone.  My hope was to stream Netflix, Disney, Amazon Prime Video and have all the audio play on the speakers.  I appreciate the help and feedback!

I have it plugged into my router via ethernet I’m sure the firmware is out of date.I tried resettingany thoughts? 

I recently finally upgraded from S1 to S2, got rid of my Sonos Connect (Gen 1) and added a Sonos Roam.  Ever since then, I’ve had a heck of a time with the S2 apps.  Every time I start the app, whether it be Android, iPhone, or Windows Desktop, it will often fail in finding my system, or if it doesn’t fail, it will take about over 2 mins to finally find the system.  I never had this with my S1, so I’m not sure why these apps are having a hard time finding my system.  When it is found, then things are usually ok, until I stop using it and open the app again later on.  I’ve cold rebooted each player, and reset my router many times.  I can see all four Sonos speakers in my Router’s IP list and they are all on the same 2.4Ghz network.  I can’t figure why it does this and it’s super annoying knowing that I can’t use my Sonos for a while after starting one of the apps.  I have to hope that it will find the system and if not, keep relaunching it.  I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled the app

Keep dropping link to Spotify, speakers of older type won’t connect, but If grouped with newer speakers - move for instance - will work, but then drop the link again after varying playback times.  excellent broadband connection, strong Wi-Fi, all systems up to date come on Sonos, do better! great speakers, awful software. 

Just set up my Roam onto my sonos system.  When trying to connect Alexa, I get the message ' Something went wrong with Amazon Shopping, Amazon Shopping closed because this app has a bug' Any advice appreciated. 

Hi all.  I can't believe I'm the only one frustrated that I can't choose the timing of the timer programming that controls when playback stops.  1 hour or 2 hours....why not 1h40...?  especially for the evening.  A timer like on a telephone would be so much more flexible to use...Is that really too much to ask of SONOS...?  I really don't understand how this could have gone on for so long....I'm counting on the most seasoned to send the request back to the appropriate services.  THANK YOU in advance for all of us.

Have a brand new U8g and nothing else but Sonos Arc attached via HDMI eARC. S2 App shows checkmark for HDMI ARC connection, but the audio test fails. Both U8g and Sonos Arc firmwares are updated. Optical works, but I want sound with ATMOS via eARC.Also the U8g menu items for selecting ARC output are grayed out in the tv settings. Can only select tv speaker as output. It seems there may be bad CEC communication as I noticed if I disable CEC on U8g that the ARC output option can be selected, but it goes right back to grayed out after changing menus.Any ideas would be appreciated. Would a CEC Less adapter force the tv to be able to use ARC for audio out? 

My sonos cannot connect to apple music. Is there any problem there? Thanks.

I recently bought a new Samsung QN95B smart TV. I have connected it to my S11 Sonos playbase with the optical cable. I am trying to get the volume on the playbase to work with the new Samsung remote. I’m having no luck. The playbase volume does not seem to work with the Samsung remote. I can only operate sonos volume via sonos app on my phone.  Any ideas on how to get Samsung remote to operate volume on sonos playbase?

my issue with voice assistants thru sonos is driving me insane (i also am not quite sure if it’s a sonos or spotify issue, but i’m going to ask here anyway) this is oddly specific but my sonos products will play the first two songs i request thru the voice assistants no issue -- then, when i request another, it will either a) not play anything b) say sorry, i can’t do that… or some related error message or c) acknowledge the song that i want (it says playing <the song i requested>) but then does NOT PLAY THAT SONG . after observing spotify when c) happens, i see that the song i want actually plays but then it just skips within a second of playing the song, so when hearing this from the speaker it is like the song never plays. also this is ONLY with voice assistants (i’ve had this issue on both alexa and google) but playing directly from spotify to sonos works perfectly. i have tried every. single. thing i have found online -- uninstalling spotify and sonos, updating them both, re

But my TV box remote can also use RF and I’m wondering: Is there a way for the Beam to receive RF signals from the remote?#2The TV/Beam volume gets set to zero after streaming music from my phone to the Beam (using Airplay 2) instead of returning to the previously selected TV volume level. I have TV Autoplay selected ‘on’ in the Sonos app and this even happens if I stop streaming the music first then turn on the TV afterwards.

Hi folks, Happy Sonos user for a few years now. I wanted to give Sonos Radio HD a try a few days ago, and it seems like it’s not available in Israel..Is there an ETA for availability in Israel / roadmap for other countries? I think the app should have prevented me from starting the trial provided it’s not supported in my country, or at least indicated that to me before proceeding. It took me a few support calls to understand that this is the issue..Thanks!

I ordered a Beam (Gen 2) from Sonos Australia on 30 April. Sonos cancelled the order with no explanation given. I called to enquire and was advised that the order was lost due a change in their IT systems. The order was placed again (and a discount given which was nice) and was received on 26 May. Unfortunately it was faulty (didn’t work) so I arranged return. It was received by Sonos on 2 June and they advised that a replacement "should arrive in 1-5 working days". It is now 14 June, and repeated attempts to contact Sonos online and by phone have been unsuccessful. I’ve been on hold on the online ‘Chat With Us’ and on the phone to the call centre for two hours today, but no one is picking up. Anyone else having similar issues contacting Sonos? Should I take this to NSW Fair Trading?

Good morning.  I’ve tried everything I can think of to figure out how to get my sub to stop the occasional  vibrating, screechy, hum sound.  Mostly noticed with television, low volume levels.  I put acoustic foam underneath thinking it has been shaking a wooden cabinet, but I don’t think that’s it.  Any suggestions?  Lot to spend for a sub that puts out an annoying sound. 

I was wondering if someone can help me with an answer I can’t find. I am installing 12 Sonos ports in my home because I have a pre-existing setup with amp and what not. All my amps are sonance amps, so my question is will the Sonos amp control the volume of my amp? I know there is an option for passthrough on the port, but there is not list that I can find that tell me what amps work for volume control on the port.any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have sometimes a disconnect between my Sub and playbase. After some times, they reconnect.I am thinking putting a UTP cable between the Sub and Playbase, hoping that this will prevent disconnects.Any chance that this will help? Or is the stream between de Sub and Playbase “hard coded” as 5Ghz wireless?

The title pretty much says it: the app is at 14.8.1 and the system is updated, but when I go to Settings>Services&Voice>Add a voice assistant I don’t get the SVC. Still only get Alexa and Google. Anyone else? --EA

Currently I have a Bridge and 2 Connects powering 2 different amps directly (wired), one is located downstairs and the other upstairs. Often I group them together to play the same music throughout the house. This has always worked great.To upgrade it seems that I should purchase 2 Ports (doing away with all 3 prior components). My question is can I use my existing wifi for each Port and still group them together without latency or do I need to connect one Port to my modem (over ethernet) and the first amp and set up a Sonos wireless network for the other Port to use and connect it to my second amp? Or is either solution viable?Thanks

Hi, I have 2 Play 5 Gen 1s running on the S1 app but my profile on Sonos.com only shows the equipment i have on the S2 app. How do i find out if the old Play 5s have an upgrade % off? Both have been upgraded to the latest firmware and are running on the same Network, just on different Apps

@Sonos Is it possible to put Favorites in the Music source of Alarms?Now we have to search the whole list for our favorite Sonos station and sometimes I search by station, so I don't know where to look for it in genre / country / ....

This will be long because I’ve seen others ask this question and no one answered it except to tell them how they should have wifi. I have Sonos one Gen 1 speakers. I have internet.  I’ve downloaded the SONOS S2 app on my computer. It has 16GB of memory and a 1TB SSD hard drive.I do NOT have subscribe to wifi because it’s an additional $39.99/mo with my ISP provider. I run everything via Ethernet cables.Is there a way to hook up these speakers WITH OUT WiFi? I have Ethernet cables connected to them all and each one has a dedicated spot in the the racks, but when I try to use the app it says “WiFi isn’t connected.” I have plenty of internet going into the computers, which is how I’m typing this… I just don’t have nor do I want WiFi. All the computers connected via Ethernet work. All the security camera connected via Ethernet work. All the everything connected via Ethernet is working… EXCEPT these speakers. How do I make this app work so the speakers will work?
