HiLong story short. I have a Gen 1 Connect. I’m about to upgrade my HiFi system (speakers and amp) and hoping to improve my streaming source (currently using Spotify) to CD quality using TIDAL, Apple or Amazon Music. I may not notice the difference, but want to at least give it a try.The Gen 1 Sonos Connect obviously isn’t suitable for CD quality streaming, so I’m thinking I should upgrade to a Sonos Port and move to the S2 app. I’ve been hesitant to upgrade due to the mixed reviews over the past few of years, and am curious to know if there have been any improvements with the sound quality issues some people have had (either from the unit itself or in the app) since it’s launch 3 years ago. The sales guys in the hifi stores here in Sydney like to push the BlueSound Node, but I’m already invested in Sonos, and happy with it.I’m currently using RCA cables on the Connect and thinking I would possibly use the digital coax on the Port if this would work better with the Amp (Cambridge Audio

Recently, have purchased Sonos Move via the official Sonos app with the following concerns -1. There is no voice assistant in India except Sonos Voice control. When shall we have this in place?2. It's challenging to press the mode button sometimes as it doesn't detect the pressing of it.3. It takes a very long time to switch to Bluetooth and to connect the already paired or searching device/new device.4. Bangalore, India's support team is not efficient.5. Any solution to switch off the Sonos move via Mobile App since the app doesn't have any advanced features it works with the basic ideology that doesn't even detect incoming calls. Sonos Move should at least detect the incoming calls and take necessary steps such as pausing the music.6. The sound quality and clarity have gone after the last update.7. When are we planning to launch advanced features such as audio quality and its type(eq) etc?8. Whenever I connect it with Tv, the sound lags and hang midway, killing the audio vibes and sp

I want to listen my fire TV stick through my Sonos Move but I can not get both of them connected. I have succeed with controlling Fire Tv with Alexa from my Sonos but not to play the fire TV on my Sonos, could you please help me? I could not find any solution to this topic in the community. Thanks!

Hello,How come I can’t just open a support ticket on sonos.com?Anyway, I often experience that the sound from my Sonos Connect suddenly and briefly disappears.I have changed the RCA cable between the Sonos Connect and my amplifier, and I have switched off all my Sonos devices and the router. The Sonos Connect is connected by cable to the router via an ethernet switch. Could there be a problem with miy Sonos Connect? Could there be some temporary packet loss?In my router’s web interface SonosZP is marked with a yellow icon. Yellow means warning.Maybe changing ethernet cables would help?Would it help to hard reset my Sonos system? Other suggestions?Thank you in advance.Kind regards,Martin

Hi allThe mute on my Arc is now lasting around 10/15 seconds after command atm & I've tried Everything I know to fix it.....Reset,Reaquire with no luck

I have used a Mac from late 2013 as a music server since that date.  All was working well until it updated to Catalina and simultaneously I updated to S2.   Since then, Sonos cannot find the music library saying that it cannot find the computer.  S2 is literally running on the computer itself.  I worked with customer service and it was determined that this was likely due to the known problem with Catalina’s security update that messed up File Sharing on Mac computers.  Indeed, this problem was present. So, I moved all of the music files over to my PC via an external drive.  I copied the files onto a SSD drive on my PC.  I then tried to link the music library on the PC, and I am getting the same message--S2 cannot find the computer, now the PC, it is running on and therefore cannot index the files.  On both computers, I can see and play the files using other applications.  I ran a diagnostic on the PC right after this occurred.  The diagnostic number is 1588168447.I have once again asked

I know that my Play-speakers ain’t working with Airplay. But, is it necessary to change both to Sonos One SL or will it work if I just change one of them and then make a group (consisting of one Play and one One SL)?

2 Soundbars, ONE on each side of TV??? In the house we are currently building, I prefer to NOT have the soundbar sitting on the fireplace mantle under the tv. (the whole idea of having a frame tv is to keep it from screaming ‘I’m a TV’)  I’ll have cabinets with shelves on each side of the fireplace. I’m wondering if I can use 2 soundbars - one on each side of the tv/fireplace on the shelves?  Or just one soundbar off to one side of the tv?  I’m concerned that will make the sound weird if its not centered.  Or is there another sonos option - maybe a surround system - that would allow me to not have a speaker centered on the fireplace below the tv but still provide great sound and clear dialogue? Thanks for any help you guys can give!

Forgive me if this has been discussed where I missed it, but…I’ve read a lot about the difficulty with should lag when playing from Sonos Connect, Port or similar through an AV receiver using DSP, assuming I want synced music from both the Sonos zones and the AVR’s wired speakers.  From what I gather, setting speaker output on the AVR to 2-channel/direct is the only workaround (and still dependent on the AVR model) as it reduces the DSP time to more closely sync with the Sonos. What about a scenario where instead of the Port or Connect originating the source music and running line into the AVR, the AVR originates the source signal and sends line out to the Connect?  It looks like many AVRs now support various streaming services. Thanks for any thoughts.

I have a Sonos One in the living room and Sonos One SL in the bedroom. When I am playing songs from my phone (iOS 13.3.1), airplay to either speaker won’t work. The error message I get is > Unable to connect to “Living Room”.However, when I airplay to Apple TV, it works! Any kind soul can help what’s wrong? I try restart my router, speakers and phone. It doesn’t work at all.

Hello again!.I've been using WiFi Analyser and it seems 2.4ghz round my area is chocker blocked where as 5gh is relatively untouched.I have Playbar, Sub, Play:1's, Play One's, Play 3's and Move.If I go over to S2 will all these be able to connect via 5gh and if it came to it can I downloade all back to S1? (I have a Connect S1 only to keep the S1 system). My Move seems to be having the hardest time with connecting it seems.I'm back on Channel one for now.I would like to try a Mesh System really but Sonos doesn't seem to get on with these?.Can S2 do SonosNet in 5ghz band?.Thanks for any comments.

Sony Bravia KD 75XG95xx.    I can’t get any sound out of my playbar    No matter what I do.   Any ideas please ??

I have two Sonos One speakers on my home network. One in the living room, the other in my office. Plus, a google speaker in the kitchen.Whenever anyone uses the Sonos in the living room, it drops off the network for the other users. It takes ages to add the device back to the app. The scan loops forever, then it suddenly connects as it did before. Or not, and we give up.I've linked our accounts to the network.Does anybody know why? It's a massive pain.

Is Dual Mono available using Sonos Connect Gen 2 via S2 software?

Sonos Arc not appearing on app after working perfectly well since set up many months ago. I have powered off device, rebooted wifi and device. Sound working on TV through HDMI arc cable.  All other Sonos devices are working fine  Grateful for advice to get system back working again

I’m about to purchase a Sonos set up and wanted to check my thinking. I want the Beam (2) and I can connect it to two One SLs for surround sound on the TV.If the TV is off and I ask Alexa to play some music, will the Ones both play the music as well or just the Beam?If so will the sound balance out? The TV will be in the corner and the Ones on either side of the couch facing the TV. It’s a fairly large room too.

I had google assistant on my beam, it wasnt working so i did the old “remove it and add it back on” routine, BUT i cant get it to add back on!Two hours on the phone, no go….now someone will call me back the next business day (two days).. anyone have a fix i can try before then?Fyi - i was able to add google assistant to my roam no problem… when trying to add it to the beam, i get the “no devices found” from the google assistant app..

Hi,After a year or so of playing without any issues, I am now regularly experiencing issues where songs played from my music library (NAS drive) or Spotify are stopping mid song and then either restarting on the same song after several seconds or jumping to the next song. I would appreciate any suggestions to resolve this.I currently have no issues with my WiFi which is super fast (1Gbit). I have submitted several diagnostics for review:18155246031519043387282265633Thanks

Hi all, While these are probably basic questions, I’m new to most of the technologies I’m asking about so It’s a bit overwhelming to search for info when you’re not familiar with the terminology and products 🙁. My current setup consists of older LCD connected to Apple TV and a Denon receiver which is connected to a set of regular speakers. I want to migrate to Smart TV, ditch the Apple TV, and replace the Receiver and speakers with two Sonos Five in the living room with the option of later adding subwoofer, and several One’s spread around the rooms in the house. All speakers (or at least the ones in the living room) will be connected via ethernet. My use cases:Connect my Roon (which is running on a NAS) to Sonos. I’ve already checked that this is possible (with few limitations). Have the option to connect the Smart TV to the speakers in the living room but have it trivial to switch between sound from the TV and speakers. Note, I’m not interested in Home Theatre Surround setup. Regardi

I have a Sonos Roam SL, which I am very new to, therefore I have a lot to learn? I have an Apple Mag Safe charger which I use for my iPhone 13.Is it safe for me to use this Mag Safe charger for my Sonos Roam SL, please?

Hello everyone I have a digital karaoke machine but am having trouble connecting to tv. I have a sonos beam and a sonos port

I’ve moved to a new house and wanting to set up multi room music streaming by integrating my NAIM hi-fi (Uniti Core music server and XP5 XS2 streamer, plus amps and speakers) with my Sonos system (Arc and two Play:1’s acting as surround sound for my LG television) and adding a couple of extra Sonos speakers for kitchen and patio.  Problem is that the Sonos system does not show the Core as either a uPnP source or as a music server.  After reading some posts that perhaps my ASUS Zen mesh network was the problem, I’ve added a switch and now everything is hardwired to either the switch (Core, XS2, LG-TV and Arc) or to the router (Both Play:1’s and obviously the switch is hardwired back to the router).  The LG tv can “see” the Core and play music from it via the LG media app. The Sonos can play from other music sources (eg Amazon Music). The NAIM streamer is very happy to play music off the NAIM core. Any suggestions why Sonos can’t see the NAIM core as a uPnP source?

Hi. Can I turn down the TV audio whilst watching the TV picture but using the Play Bar for music?

This is crazy! The shuffle button always worked for years and now its gone (With Apple Music when I select my apple music).  But if I go straight to Apple Music, the shuffle button is there. Anyone know how to fix this? I called Sonos and they said they couldn’t help me but would take it under consideration.   Without a shuffle button, I would never have bought my two systems.  Sonos has to do better than that.

Hi all, Really hoping someone can help. I’ve had 4 speakers hard wired into the ceilings with good quality speaker cable. 2x left and 2x right. The cables are too thick to fit 2 into a single banana plug that came with the amp. I purchased some stackable banana plugs instead which the cables fit into fine BUT the actual “plug” bit is too big for the holes in the back of the amp?! They fit fine in my Blue Sound amp. Please help :(
