I'm unable to control the volume of my Sonos Move without unlocking my Pixel phone and opening the Sonos app. This can't possibly be right? I've updated the settings per the help article and restarted everything but it's still not working.When you're listening to music you should just be able to pick up your phone and adjust the volume. Needing to unlock it and navigate to the Sonos app to change the volume is madness!  This is my first time owning a Sonos product (I've been 100% Bose up to this point). Bose allows me to do this. Surely this is a bug? If not this thing is going back.

Hi!Previous threads here on this topic are closed so i open a new one.I have a Sonos Beam Gen 2. Its nice but I am shocked i cannot use any headphones any more?If my Samsung TV is in HDMI ARC mode, it will not let me connect any headphones. This mode is normally for HDMI A/V Receivers, so you can connect your headphones there. But the SONOS Beam has no option to connect headphones.. So thats it? SONOS must have thought of this no? People might want to use the beam but also sometimes headphones? Or is this a kind of apple thing, you are using it wrong? The beam is so awesome, you shouldn't use headphones? Please explain.. Btw.. I read one advice here, to use an additional external bluetooth transmitter with the optical out of the TV, which is always active. tried this and doesnt seem to work for me. I think the transmitter requires PCM Output but the beam should get Bitstream / Dolby Digital. And i wont switch this every time i want to use headphones.. SONOS please tell me you thought o

Very often, my Sonos will turn its volume up to 100 by itself. Even if I turn it down, it ramps up to 100 over and over. I am using the Spotify integration on iOS. However, I’m changing the volume using the Sonos app directly.My phone volume is NOT at 100.Also, after it turns itself up to 100, if I pause it, it usually insists on starting to play again. I have to pause it two or three times total.I saw a thread that this was fixed on Android years ago, but it keeps happening on iOS.It’s not just an inconvenience—I’m listening to music with my one-year-old baby and it terrifies him to the point that he screams and cries. One time he was so close to the speaker when it happened, I was worried it would cause him hearing damage.

For the past 5 or so minutes the Office system has been horribly cutting in and out.  One of the Ones will play for a second or so, then the other.  Then the Sub.  Not once did the Roam cut out.  How is “interference”  only affecting the Office system?  989024897  Frustrating.  It makes it very hard to demo a system to a potential client when the system does not work.

I have an old ZP80 system that I use strictly for playing music from a vast catalog of music and podcasts that keep on my NAS.   So it’s all inside my personal network.   I don’t route any streaming or outside services, e.g., Spotify, Apple, Google, etc, through my Sonos system.   No do I have any accounts with those companies.So was surprised the other day when my GF, who has Google and Spotify at her house, but not Sonos, was at my house and was able to play music from Spotify over my Sonos system.   I called Sonos support and they said that Sonos exposes an API called Direct Control to 3rd party services such as Spotify, so all she needs is her Spotify app on her phone to play music through my Sonos system.  How do I disable that feature on Sonos?   I don’t want Spotify to have access to my Sonos system, or to be able to route content through my network or gain marketing information by knowing that content was routed through my network.   I want to keep my Sonos system tightly butto

Hi.I have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and TCL Series 6 55” Roku TV (55R635) and I have them connected via eARC HDMI cable.I’ve had the Beam for about six months and over the last two months I have to constantly unplug and replug the Beam to get sound going. I’ve tried three different HDMI cables to no avail.I just completely reset everything with a new 8K HDMI cable, unplugged everything and waited ten minutes and reset from scratch. The Beam was found in CEC and everything was fine. Then I plugged in the cable box and xBox and then the Beam drops out of CEC, but the sound still worked. Then after the TV goes into sleep mode and if I want sound when I turn the TV back on, I have to unplug the Beam and then plug it back in and then I have sound.I have a similar TCL Roku TV in another part of the house with a Bose soundbar and have never once touched it after initial setup, so I’m at a loss here.Thanks.

Hi all,I have just moved into a new home and want to get a Sonos Sub and either Beam or Arc to improve my TV audio. I don’t mind paying the extra for the Arc but am worried it might not agree with my room shape with some of the surround effects. Ceiling height is standard at around 8ft, but we are in a room which has been made open plan and we are using half of it for TV/Sofa so while it’s almost perfect square on 3 sides, the left side walls are a lot further away. Will this cause issues with the sound? Have attached a rough sketch of the room shape.Thanks for any help!  

When watching my Sony Tv and listening to the sound through my sonos arc i can control the volume level up or down , by using the appropriate buttons on the TV  or Virgin media Tivo box remote and that works fine.However, when playing music through my sonos arc from, for example Deezer, i can only adjust the volume up or down by using the sonos app on my phone, whereas until recently, I have been able to also control the music volume using the appropriate buttons on the TV and virgin media Tivo box remotes.I just spoke to a Sonos technician/ engineer and he said that the TV and virgin remotes cannot control the volume of music on the Sonos arc and that i must use the app to control the volume…… even though my system has worked like this ever since it was brand new ( maybe 2 years or so old). OK its not a major issue and i can control the volume on the app, but it used to be so much more convenient to adjust the volume using the \tv or virgin remotes.I cannot understand why this has sto

I currently have an Arc and Sub 3 together as I system. I know it will not do surround sound but I have a pair of Move’s coming. I think this will be a good little casual listening system for my upstairs.  My question is how do I add the two new Move’s? I believe that I add each one as a different room and then I pair the two Moves.  I also was wondering about syncronizing volume between the three parts of the system, Sub, Arc and Moves. Is this at all automated so that they are balanced with one another or do I just adjust each volume independently by ear until I have the balance to my liking? Thanks very much for your help. As above.I am not sure if anybody here use Untangle firewall but there seems to be a problem with Multicast traffic from the Beam. I can see the Beam issued with my assigned static IP but other than that, it doesnt to be able to setup properly.Any ideas to solve it?

Help,This is so annoying and it never used to happen. I have had Sonos Speakers in every room since 2018 and no problem until recently. The first alarm is set for 5am weekdays to play LBC on Tunein. The second one is set for 7am weekends to play Classic FM on Tunein. The problem is totally Random, some days it happens and others it doesn't. I had a 46 minute one to one with Sonos on Wednesday 18th May and the alarms worked for 3 days until the problem started reoccurring, again randomly. The case number is 03899693. 

At WWDC’21 Apple announced opening up Siri to third party hardware, are there plans to integrate this and make it an option for voice assistant just like Alexa and Google Assistant?

We have enjoyed the sonos amp with two wired sonance speakers out back for years...now we’ve extended our space with some chaise lounges on the far side of the pool, and a small game area in the far corner of the year.  You really need to crank the music up under the covered patio to hear it in all corners of the yard.  I’m thinking either two roams, or two moves, or one of each so that we can hear the music in all corners of the yard.  What’s the best combo?  Or is it something else?  Thanks!

My Sonos App will no longer play Sirius XM's Channel 13 (Pitbull Globalization). It says no longer available, but I listen everyday in my vehicles. I've removed my XM account and logged in again. Same message. Anyone else? 

I have a single album, about 30 songs that I uploaded on YouTube Music. When I navigate through the Sonos app, it says "Unable to Browse Music"I have removed YT Music several times and re-auth’d but nothing helps. All other Uploaded Albums work fine. The album works fine in the YT app, just not through Sonos.

I have a Sennheiser RS 185 RF wireless headphone system that I have enjoyed for years. As my wife and I are on different sleep schedules, this solution has saved my marriage.Recently I added a new Sonos Arc, existing subwoofer and 2 Sonos One speakers to my TV. The TV and all Sonos components are working fine. However, except for a couple evenings(out of 2 weeks), I have been unable to get sound from my headphones. I installed and charged new batteries and added a new optical cord, but still no sound. Sonos support said that they cannot help because their components are working, and Sennheiser tells me there must be interference from the new changes that is causing the problem. Can anyone help? After buying the new Arc I can’t afford a divorce lawyer!

Hi there,I bought a Sonos Arc directly from Sonos over a month ago at the start of May. I’ve noticed today that there is a dent in the front housing on the Arc, and I’m not sure where or how it has come about. I’m worried this is a defect in the build quality.I’ve attached some photos I’ve taken - would be great if I could get some advice.Thanks. 

I’m super frustrated. I have 4 Sonos Connect: Amps all direct connected to my Nighthawk MR60. This setup has worked for well over a year since I moved to the nighthawk without any issues. In the last 5 or 6 weeks I started getting a message “Unable to play… the connection to… was lost” Doesn’t matter if it’s Apple Music or Sirius or anything. I called Sonos, we did some troubleshooting, and they were unable to even see my hardware online. So what changed? I got a new ISP, which only meant a new modem within the network of my home. Yes, I’ve rebooted every single device, more than once. Tonight I decided to wipe my router and set it up from scratch. No change. I reinstalled the Sonos App and tried to start over from scratch. The App when trying to connect to the “new” network see’s the Network, asks me for a password, and then tells me the password is wrong. Like, cmon, I know the password isn’t wrong. Hi,I have an Alexa home theatre set up in my campervan,It uses 2x Echo Dot (3rd gen) and a Fire TV Cube 4k.I can request music from Amazon Music to play in stereo through the Echo Dots and also stream the audio from my Fire TV Cube in stereo to the Echo Dots when I'm watching Netflix. It's all connected via WiFi to my 4G router in the van and works great but I'd like to improve the sound quality, especially if I open the back doors to play music outside.  The Echo Dots work ok but are obviously quite small so can only do so much in terms of sound quality. The obvious upgrade would be to switch to the full Amazon Echo units instead of the Echo Dots, but the full Echo units run on 18v and that would require a voltage converter to get to this voltage. Instead, I noticed that the Sonos Move units have a built-in battery, and are Alexa Enabled.  They look a decent size and would alow me to either put them on the Sonos hook wall mount to watch TV and play Amazon music when inside the van, or

why is s1 app not working right any more if you put your system on it turns on says some think in welsh then just keeps saying tunein but if i sellect the station on the app i have to sellect play every where i dont really want to upgrade to s2 as i will loose my play 5 from my system thanks 

I see that you recommend 10W for the Roam, but how much can it handle? Would a 60-75W be too much? If that is not too much would the Roam change alot faster with 75W or is there a point when more watts would not mean faster charging?

I recently purchase the following:ArcSub Gen 32 x One SL speakersI have set up the system as per instructions BUT I am slightly confused with regard to a stereo pair and/or surround speaker set up. Which would be the best listening experience. The App doesn’t seem to show that the 2 x One SL speakers are a stereo pair and I can’t seem to be able to change or set up. Any ideas ?
