I have a Sonos Roam that is Bluetooth linked to an Amazon firestick for movies outside in my backyard. The firestick is connected to a projector.  I grouped my Sonos moves as a stereo pair in the front and a sub and two play 1’s in the back for a more immersive sound. It sounded awesome with no audio latency lag.  I'm wondering if I have a beam, sub, and two play 1’s if that is transferable to play audio in a 5.1 set up outside being grouped to the roams Bluetooth or if the Bluetooth portion limits that capability.  I've heard of connecting an Apple TV outside to it through all Wi-Fi but i also don't know if the beam isn't connected directly into a tv if it can send out a 5.1 sound over Wi-Fi.  Anyone have any insights on these two possible set ups? Thanks in advance, Brian

I moved to Germany a while back and had connection issues ever since. I recently read that in Europe additional  WiFi channels are supported and hence I wanted to change my speaker’s region to EU by accessing http://<sonos_ip>:1400/region.htm. They all show US as default and when I try to change that I get a 403 because I don’t have the correct password. What pw is being asked for here? Where do I get the info from? Is it possible to change all speakers’ regions together (I changed the country settings in my account but to no avail). Thanks for any suggestions!!

Hi, I’ve just bought a Sonos system with Beam Gen 2, 2x Sonos 1 speakers, and 1x Move speaker. I’ve not received all the pieces yet so nothing has been set up but I’ll be controlling everything through the Sonos IOS app.  However, my existing system includes a Bang & Olufsen turntable with mini amplifier and a Tivoli Audio CD player. I’d like to be able to use these sometimes and I understand I need to use a Sonos Connect to do so. Or do I? I’d like to buy a cheaper used Connect; I can get Gen 1 for $100. But will it work with my system? (Since I’m not set up yet I can’t test it.) I’m not willing to spend hundreds of dollars to connect components I don’t use often, so I need inexpensive solutions. Thanks for your advice!

I have just bouight a Sonos Ray and set up surround sound ith my exisiting pair of Play 1s.I would like to tweak the volume of the speaker indiviually, in particular make the Play 1s a tad louder in than what they are now in the Surround set up, is that possible?

I used to be able to pause a radio station by using the mute button on the speaker and then resume it by pressing the same button 24 hours later.This no longer works. Trying to resume using the button no longer works and I have to use the app. However, even in the app it is not possible to start the play again by tapping on the radio station image. I now have to select the station again from favourites.This change has been relatively recent (a few months ago) and before all was fine. 

Got a good deal on a new Playbase for the master bedroom. I exclusively use a Firestick which uses a Bluetooth remote. Since the Playbase is IR controlled and has no HDMI ARC I need a solution for controlling the Firestick and Playbase with one remote. Howdy,I have a philips 10bdl4551t with Android 8.1 that I might want to introduce the Sonons ** App** S2 on to control the sonos speakers in the workplace. Yet, the philips 10bdl4551t is a genius screen and don't have a playstore, I have physically downloaded akp, yet it neglects to introduce. Is there an authority APK to introduce? *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*

I recently purchased the move and I am very happy with it. I plan to update my TV and purchase the Arch and play ones. If I am watching a YouTube music video on my TV with the sound playing out of the arch and play ones, can I also play the sound out of the move?  

I am using TV Autoplay (Line in) from my laptop to my Sonos Ray. This works great for PC music, video calls, etc.. When I connect to the same Ray over Airplay, this also works great. The problem is that when I go back to my laptop, nothing plays on the Ray until I open the Sonos App and retoggle TV Autoplay off and back on. Then audio from my laptop works again. However, I don’t want to have to access the Sonos app to toggle autoplay everytime I use Airplay. I might as well avoid Airplay.  How do I get Autoplay to work after having used Airplay?

my system is so buggy I can’t handle it.between the updates and the intermittent shut off mid play i’m ready to throw them out the window.  i’ve had my speakers for about 5 years, which is *almost* enough to justify the cost.Has anyone had any luck with fixing this?No it isn’t the wifi.Yes I’ve unplugged and re-plugged and set and re-set the speakers about 1000x since I got them.  Yes that usually works but it shouldn’t be necessary.  

Is it just me or has the Sonos Move really improved the sound quality of the system? 

How do I find a VALID MAC number for my Sonos Roam. The number on the end of the unit reads 1C:5373A-RM027.  My router software says this is an invalid MAC. I tried removing one or both special characters ( : and/or - ) with no luck.

Good afternoon, can anyone tell me why when I go to order from SONOs website. when I get to country to ship to… in drop down does not have USA? 

I had the arc with surrounds and sub before the infamous drop outs problem. I eventually gave up whilst I had an opportunity to return it, mainly down to the lack of information from Sonos. I have now moved on to the new Samsung Q990, which is fantastic, apart from, the rear and sub drop outs. I swear I am cursed with soundbars. The difference with the Samsung is that it briefly stops but 2 seconds later comes back, but It’s not right. So, is it safe to come back to Sonos? I loved the sound from it when I had it. Cheers ps, if I did, is it worth getting fives for surround as this Samsung is a lot better at surround than the arc.

Using randomizer playlists from Spotify. Sonos plays two tracks, then tries the third for 12-13 seconds, then displays a connection lost and moves on to the next track. Very consistent behaviour. Same for different playlists and same regardless of which phone I am using (both are Samsung Androids though)Super annoying. 

I’m a bit frustrated once again with Sonos. The setting up process for nearly every device is completely annoying. Well, the Sonos “ROAM” is the worst one yet. I bought this product for nearly $200 on the road hoping to have great sound while in my hotel room… which will be another two weeks. Got back to the hotel and come to find I CAN’T use this Bluetooth out the box. Sonos wants you to hook it up to your “private” network AT HOME. I’m not at home. I SHOULD be able to use this out of the box with blue tooth connection. It a total scam to advertise the way you do. The box should say - “can be bluetooth once connected to your home network”. I then would have saved my money.This type of run around is SO unnecessary. I’m once again SUPER frustrated at the companies policy to use what I should clearly own. The reality is, I don’t own this product until I connect back home 2,000 miles away. Any help here?

I have a Sonos Amp (and 3 others Sonos Play, One and Ikea Symphonic) at home. My Sonos Amp suddenly dissapear from the Apps after intermittent WiFi problems.I have tried the ethernet direct connection with the factory reset… still not working. The Sonos support is telling me that I can be eligible for the 30% discount for replacement of a older Sonos Amp… Anyone have a suggestion… I have serious concern about buying the “same” unreliable product… but I believe Sonos knows that I’m stuck since I have multiple products… therefore, there is no repair options…Any suggestion of worth tring options?

Hi everyone, A little bit of context, I just bought a odyssey g70a monitor that doesnt have spearkers so I am thinking to buy the sonos ray but I realize that the monitor doesnt has optical audio input, it only has jack audio input, my question is, can I use a optical convert to jack cable to connect the sonos ray with my monitor? Will it work?

Hi fellow SonosLover!I might need some help here, I just purchased a sonos ray and connected it to a LG OLED55CX6LA.I’m struggling to make my remote works with the sonos, it is not recognized and no error message are displayed.I followed another post to add the soundbar by searching for Sonos in the manufacturer, everything is setup as expected but then the Ray isn’t responding to the remote… Any tips? (Should i update the ray to a specific software version?) thanks !!

Hello to the community,My current setup is (apart from the streaming services) a Project X2 turntable going into a preamp, then into the line in on a Sonos five. I have that Sonos five stereo pared with another and that is my main setup for listening to vinyl. I then have other Sonos ones around the house if I want to pickup the turntable when I’m in the kitchen etc (for example).Someone has suggested that I should feed the turntable and preamp into a Sonos Amp and then into passive speakers as my main system, then use the fives somewhere else in the house. They state, I will get a better HIFI representation from the turntable going into the Sonos Amp than the Five.My main question is - what is the difference between using the Sonos Amp and passive speakers, over going into the Five line in as a stereo pair?What is it (if anything) that the Sonos Amp has in processing sound over and above the Sonos Five input?I would value any thoughts/ opinions or experience…Cheers, Robin 

I’m building a new home and I have the opportunity to run with one of two options.  The room is fairly large with priority on home theatre, but to also play music in games room behind.  I’m looking for feedback on sound quality and ease of use.  Latency issues drive me mad btw!OP1: Arc in front, Sonos amp + ceiling rears, Sonos subOP2: TV connected to one amp driving in-wall speakers on the sides of the TV, and a second amp driving ceiling rears, Sonos subI am hoping to be able to simply turn on Sony TV and go (with full surround sound) without turning on other devices and messing with surround settings.  Also, to use iOS to play music in the room with a stereo channel (ceiling speakers are used as L/R and not surround channel).Thank you!

I have two Sonos speakers--one in my office and one in the kitchen downstairs. I listen to mine in my office while I work all day, and my family will pop into the kitchen and play music occasionally. However, Sonos seems to have changed this policy and will only allow Spotify to stream from one device at a time. I have the paid version of Spotify. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t let a family stream Spotify off of multiple devices--do you want us to pay for a new subscription of each device? Did I not spend enough money on this overpriced speaker system already? I feel like I’m paying premium prices for a less-than-premium product. I just want to be able to listen to music. 

Do you need wifi to connect phone to roam via Bluetooth? I won a Sonos speaker but I don't have wifi at home. I can't get roam to enter Bluetooth mode. I can't set up the app because I don't have wifi. Does this mean you couldn't use the speaker if you are away from wifi, like out on a boat or camping?

I have the Amp with Sonos ceiling speakers and the Beam G2.  When I try and play music from Spotify, it up mixes to some faux 2.1 signal and plays out the center channel using the surrounds rather than just playing music out the L & R channels from the Amp.  I am finding that once you add a center channel, it turns your amp and ceiling speakers into nothing more than an expensive rear surround speakers.   Is there a way to NOT use the center channel for music without having to reconfigure the entire system every time (remove surrounds)….like every normal AV receiver?
