Hi there, I have a question here. My Sonos app on my Imac and on my Iphone is connecting to the wrong system. There is another system on the same WIFI network that I am on and my Sonos app on my Imac and on my Iphone is connecting sometimes to that other system instead of mine. Is there a way to block the connection to the other system? I understand that if my app doesn’t make the connection to my closer system after a few seconds for any reason, it starts to look for any systems on the network and connects to that other one. But I was looking for a way to block the other system completely so the app would continue to search for my system for a longer time if it’s needed. I already removed the other system in the preferences but it seems to put it back if it’s the only one available.

Thanks in advance for your answer

Christian

If you reset the controller App in App Preferences (mobile App) and then connect it to just one ‘existing’ system only, it should then only find that one System/Household. If you ever open the App after that, and it doesn’t find the system it was connected to, then do not (ever) try to find that system again, as it might then connect to the ‘other’ system and once that happens you are back to square one.

You are best to just fully close the App and reopen it until it does find the system it was setup to use.

There are alternatives, like adding other hardware (router etc.) and hanging that off your current network and putting one system/dedicated controller on its different subnet, but I would only go that route if you find that your problems persist.

I also suggest/recommend using different Sonos Accounts for each system, if not doing that already.
