Speakers

Will try to be as descriptive as possible without being confusing.  Need a little help and/or explanation.  In a vacation home I had 1 pair of Era 100, 1 pair of One SL, a Beam and mini sub.  I currently upgraded the vacation home to 1 pair of Fives, 1 pair of Era 300, the Arc Ultra and Gen 4 sub.  I kept the pairs of Era 100 and One SL in the vacation home and put them in 2 different rooms and have them set up and they are working.  I posted the question about speaker placement about a month ago but I haven’t had the chance to finish setting up everything else yet.  I ended up taking the Beam and the mini sub from the vacation home to my permanent home to use in the basement.  At my permanent home I use the Sonos S1 app while in the vacation home I use the Sonos app.  My question is, since the beam and mini sub were setup on the Sonos app can I set up them up for use in the basement on the Sonos app using my home network?  And by doing so will I screw up anything with on the Sonos

I’ve just spent 4 hours on both on the Sonos chat and then had to call to try and get my system up and running. I’ve upgraded my Vodafone wifi 6E router to WiFi 7 but can only get my 4 x ERA 300 speakers to work. I can’t get the Arc and any of my older speakers to work ie Play one (gen2) x 2 or play 3 and Play 5.At the end I was told no they won’t work as our speakers aren’t compatible with WiFi 7 except the ERAs. So I’ve now got a partly obsolete system. I would have expected to be told that within 5 minutes if that’s really the case not 4 hours later after exhausting every avenue. I also asked so if I upgrade to the Arc ultra will it work but apparently it won’t either , I find it hard to believe no one else has had this issue as im sure many people are upgraded to WiFi 7.Has anyone heard if Sonos are addressing this or anyone had similar issues ? 

Is it possible to pair my Denon RCD-M41DAB to a stero pair of Era 100s? At the moment it doesn’t register the speakers at all, I wondered if it might only be possible to connect to one speaker and not a stero set-up. 

Hi everyone,I’ve been using an Era 100 with a Line-In connection for a while now, but over the last two months, the behavior has changed significantly and it’s becoming quite frustrating.The Issue: If there is no sound for a short period, the Era 100 seems to "disconnect" or go into a deep sleep mode. When I start playing music again, it takes about 10 seconds before any audio actually comes out of the speaker.Why this is strange: This was not happening two months ago. It used to be near-instant or at least much faster. I am using the official Sonos Line-In adapter. Once it finally "wakes up," the audio is fine, but if I pause for a few seconds, the cycle repeats.  System Info: Speaker: Era 100 Connection: Line-In (Official Adapter) App Version:

My Play:5 Gen1 has no sound coming from the mid-range speakers. Bass and tweeters are working fine.The main PCB shows the 5 x output caps are all bulging. I’ll get those changed.Also Q27304 is cracked so I assume failed.The IC is SOIC6. The marking on the top is M05A; which I think is a package code for SOIC6.But what is the IC?Any help appreciatedRay 

Hoping I’m not the only one. Out of the blue a few days ago, when asking our Sonos 1 to play a song via Google assistant/youtube music, it now says “sorry I can’t do that on this device”. I’ve deleted,readded,reauthorized, rebooted, reinstalled (I’ve re-everythinged). No luck. Works fine on my iPhone via Siri.  Why don’t Sonos and Google play nice?

Hi All,  New Sonos ERA-100 set-up issue. I cannot get my cellphone to Bluetooth to pair will speakers.But!  But I have been able to do it with my laptop. My goal is to stream music from non-Sonos sources. Any suggestions?  Thanks! 

Hi everyone,I’m experiencing a high-pitched “beep / whine” noise when using the LINE-IN on my Sonos Five, and I’m hoping for some advice.Setup:- Turntable with built-in phono preamp- External phono preamp also tested (same result)- RCA → 3.5mm cable into Sonos Five LINE-IN- LINE-IN source level tested from low to high- Audio Compression: Auto / Compressed (no change)- Autoplay ON/OFF tested- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices nearby minimized- Different cables tested- Different power outlets testedWhat happens:- A faint but clearly audible high-frequency “beep” or electronic whine- Noise is present even when no record is playing- Noise level changes depending on LINE-IN source level and volume- More noticeable during quiet passages or when volume is raisedImportant note:When I disconnect the LINE-IN cable from the Sonos Five, the noise disappears completely.This makes me th

New Sky 500 max router, old ish Sonos one. All ok until i needed to connect to latest WIFI.It connects when wired no problem but will not work wireless. I have tried many times. Factory resets etc etc. I am not especially tech savvy but usually get by. Not this time. Tried Iphone and Samsung phones.

Why won’t my Play:1 and Play:3 connect after a short power cut? I have factory reset both products and also reset the S2 app…all to no avail. I cannot reconnect the Play speakers and this has been over a week now, but somehow my Beam seems miraculously immune to any issues whatsoever and has remained constantly connected! You couldn’t make it up. Why is Sonos so clunky and difficult to use? Has anyone had a similar issue or maybe help with any advice? 

I have two Sonos 1SL in two different rooms. I have WiFi repeaters, my phone picks up the repeater as well as the main router. When I leave my home, sometimes- not always- my speakers drop off wifi. I want them to remain on as I leave the radio on for my dogs. Why does this happen? I suspect because of the wifi repeaters. I wanted to get a cd player hifi to play cds and to stop this “dripping out” when I go out. Discovered that Sonos 1SL can’t connect by Bluetooth or wires. I do not want to spend £400 on a sonos port as I am not enamoured enough by the Sonos and so don’t want to invest any more money into them. Can anyone please help me to achieve what I want to as described. Thank you 

I have several ROAM and ERAs in my home system. One of my ROAM started playing at supper low volume. Maxing it out, either manually or through the app, it doesn't play at even half the volume as other ROAMs in my system. What could the issue be?

I have several gen 1 sonos play5 speakers but  some have damaged mesh on the front. Is there a way or guide how to replace that mesh? Where can I find a replacements mesh?Any advice would be helpful.thanks.

Hi All, I have a Sonos play bar, sub,  2 play 5 second gen for surrounds stereo setup for my entertainment area. In the last month one of the 2 play 5s (out of warranty sadly) stopped connecting to the system. When I plug it into Ethernet it works but unfortunately that is not an option for my space.I sent customer service a diagnostic and was told it’s a failed WiFi card. They basically said I was SoL and my options are to get a 30 percent discount on one new 5 and buy an additional new 5 because that’s the only way I could have two surrounds. Kind of a hard answer to hear if I have two very expensive play 5 speakers, one of which works fine and the other of which only the WiFi is malfunctioning (apparently a problem that has been experienced by quite a few play 5 second gen owners).Does anyone have other ideas of solutions? Has anyone ever effectively replaced the WiFi card on one of these? Does anyone know a good source of refurbished play 5 gen

Play:1 Speaker connection issues after update So after yet another update the loss of two of my speakers from my system and followed all procedures that seemed no to work I did the following for a full system reset.you will need a network cable from home routerPower off and reset all speakers so they all drop off the app then power them off. From Sonos app settings >switch system then >Set up a new system. Connect the first speaker to the Router with a Network cable. Get the app ready to add a speaker Press the play/pause & + buttons and power on until the light flashes white/orange. From the app add select the add speaker follow the instructions from the app. Once this has been added to the Sonos app get the next speaker ready but do not plug in the network cable. Hi everyone, I use both Apple Music and I listen a lot to podcasts via Apple Podcasts. For Apple Music I most of the time use the Sonos App (because of the streaming quality and direct streaming). For podcast I obviously  use AirPlay 2 from my iPhone (iPhone 16 - iOS 26). I’ve read a few articles on AirPlay, including on this forum, and I was wondering which are the best practices. In this support article they say: Select one or more Sonos products to stream the same audio across all of them using AirPlay. But in some posts and articles I read it’s better to do grouping an ungrouping via the Sonos App (all my speakers are AirPlay 2-compatible). My question:Is it better to just initiate the AirPlay 2 stream and then switch back to Sonos App for other controls (group

I’ve had two Era 100s in a stereo pair, and I regularly AirPlay content from Apple Music on iOS or macOS. I love them a lot but one problem that’s persisted for the couple of years I’ve owned them is that after playing music for an hour or so, the audio on one of the two starts to fall out of sync, becoming delayed from the other speaker. This gradually increases if I don’t do anything, creating more and more of an “echo” sound.If I pause the playing music and play again, it syncs the speakers immediately. I have the speakers connected to Ethernet using the 3.5mm/Ethernet USB-C adapter.Is there not a way to have a gradual drift correction software-side to sync the speakers every so often without it being perceptible? 

Airplay wont work in era 100 from windows pc itunes, but airplay works from iphone and other airplay devices work from pc.

This is a no Brainerr to program to individually adjust the volume for each speaker whilie setting up an alarm.Very easily to program while setting up an alarm to  select a individual speaker with sound adjustment. 

again Problem with voice commands , now at this moment I can not use voice controll  with google assist , no controll on my home right now again , why buy a expensive beam while a 30 euro google device works fine , why every time update beam with so many issues 

This post is meant to help someone who purchased a used Sonos play 5 gen 1 and could not get it to work.  the troubleshooting steps I followed from posts or the AI generated ones did not help because they were not clear. What worked for me is given below. first : I made the mistake of just connecting the Sonos to the app. It dint like it, it immediately said it belonged to someone else with the old users email (redacted).  Second step I did was attempt to factory reset it. Uff this was painful because I was an idiot and followed the instructions. It said to remove the power cable and hold the play/pause button and plug it in to power on until orange and white flashes. This never happened because I was actually pressing the play pause button ( the capacitive button on the top or side depending on how you placed your speakers vertically or sideways). I discovered by pure trial and error that the button is at the back (physical button). That’s wh

The era 100 has a serious manufacturing issues. I have 3 in a row and grills start randomly cracking and falling apart.  They have replaced defective speakers but I don’t believe they have fixed the manufacturing issues. The quality is simply not the same with these speakers.
