Not sure if this has been mentioned before...but how about a bedside style clock with internal speaker so can be used as alarm clock with option as a clock with speaker that can be used with sonos or bluetooth from mobile phone or whatever.
I’m using a Roberts retro style Revival Rest clock/radio and would love it to be wifi and available to sonos app.
Just an idea and with a nice retro style I’d buy one.
I can’t see myself that interested in a clock radio to be honest. I can set alarms with Sonos already and either ask a voice assistant the time, or just glance at my phone. But that’s just me. I would guess that Sonos wouldn’t be too big on this as the small form factor makes it difficult to fill a room with sound. Sonos would rather just sell you a pair of Era 100s for that. But again, just my guess. They did make a lamp and a speaker picture frame, so...
I don’t think Sonos made those…they supplied applicable parts, I suspect.
I’d agree, they’d have to invest in the ‘display’ part of the clock with their product team. It’s just enough out of their wheelhouse to be an interesting suggestion, though. Nice mix. OTOH, I wouldn’t buy one, especially given the alarm feature already built in to the Sonos software….but that doesn’t resolve the constant display of time. Which I use my iPhone or Watch for.
I guess I’m old school...don’t like or use voice control on anything, Cant be bothered to pick up phone (usually downstairs at night anyhow) to look at bright screen for time nor do I wear watch in bed or could even focus on it as I wear glasses for reading.
Roberts Revival Rest suits me fine apart from would be nice to wake up to my music on Sonos.
Given they make a Roam (I have one) ...upgrade/replace it with a clock and roam features plus allow for mains power….no good if battery dies and hoping for an alarm.
Anyhow, just an idea...wonder if Sonos will post a reply?
I wouldn’t count on it. The only Sonos folks who reply here are forum moderators, at best you’d get a ‘we’ll pass this request on’ response, which doesn’t mean anything beyond what it says.

I went from a ‘dumb’ clock radio, to an echo show, to just an echo dot. I actually found that I prefer to use my voice to ask what time it is, as that requires less focus, and thus I can fall asleep better, than opening my eyes and trying to focus on a display.
Irrelevant, but the echo dot fell of the back of the night stand a few months back and I haven’t bother to move it. It hears and speaks just fine, and when it’s flashing blue, it’s just a glow against the wall and less annoying. I wake up to Sonos at the same time every week day, so I know exactly what time it is then.

I have often thought that Sonos should make a non-portable speaker the size of Roam for small spaces in the house (closets, bathrooms, hallways, etc). Perhaps adding a clock to that could expand the market a little bit.
A no-battery Play would be a neat option. Just feed it from an adequate USB C power source.
