Hi All, If anyone could advise please. I am very interested in improving home cinema for the lounge. Torn between beam and arc ultra.My lounge is 8.32 meter length, 3.76 metre width. I sit width ways facing tv (so just under 3.76 meter to where sound bars will be).As the room is long so I have large windows about 2 meter to the right of sofa and French doors about 5 meter to right of me.I do not need major base and im cautious about blasting the neighbour with noise so I don't think I will got beyond 50-60% volumeDoes anyone have experience with this layout. I am concerned the psycoacoustic and immersion will be lost due to distance French doors and the sound will not be good. Also anyone had lip sync issues with beam or ultra? Planning to get new tv this year but I hear hicense or tcl have hand shake issues to. May go lg or sony but any feed back on lip sync would be appreciated. Thank you

Just read a very helpful thread on ERA300’s ceiling mount Vs In ceiling ….. I have the same issue. Probably easier than the OP on that thread. We have a rectangular room. But with a large triangular corner in glass. Long story, looks nice etc but not ideal for placing speakers.The front viewing wall is perfectly symetrical and has just been rewired so TV, sound bar and other components are perfectly centered as is the viewing settee. The viewing settee has a left hand and right hand 2 seater settee perpendicular to the main viewing settee.So everything is front is peachy. But the rear means the ERA 300 RHS would be over the arm if wall mounted. Not ideal. The LHS one not a problem. Can use floor stands but I’m thinking ceiling mounted on a Flexson and use SW in app to invert the soun

I am trying to connect Sonos playbase for the first time and want it ot work wirelessly with Alexa. When we connect via ethernet I can play Amazon music on it . But when I disconnect the Ethernet it does not work .

Within ~5 seconds, the TV silently reverts Sound Out back to HDMI ARC Device (the Beam) on its own. Audio is back on the Beam, headphones go silent. 4. Disabling SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) on the LG side at Settings -> General -> Devices -> HDMI Settings does NOT stick — the toggle re-enables itself within seconds while the Beam is on the HDMI bus.

Dear Sonos community. I am currently in the situation of having issues with the center channel of my home theater setup. The dialogue in different media is sounding very muffled.Here’s what I have done to troubleshootGot help from Sonos support. After an hour of troubleshooting with them on the phone, they decided to send me a new Arc Ultra. Issue still remains after the receiving the new speaker unit, so ... I have used a specific youtube video to use as benchmarking the issue I tested the video from my Computer (It’s hooked up to the TV), youtube app from my Nvidia Shield, and also the Youtube app on LG TV. Same issue. However! The issue is not present when running the sound via Airplay. Dolby Atmos content is not affected by this issue. The media that I have without Dolby Atmos has this issue. This issue appeared recently (last two weeks), so can it be that an update for the

My old Playbar isn’t recognizing the remote on my new Hisense Model: 55QD7QF.  It worked fine with the LG tv remote that I just replaced.  I tried changing remotes with the S1 app to no avail.  Any suggestions are much appreciated.  Thanks for your time.

I have a LG OLED TV and ARC Ultra.  I have had this combination for almost 2 years with no issues.Recently, I have an issue where I turn off the TV and in a few seconds it turns back on.  This can happen multiple times, or sometimes only once.  But it does persist.The configuration and connections have not changed.My online research indicates a probable issue with a SONOS update that has triggered this issue.Does anyone have a suggestion?

Hello everyone, since people often ask how to perfectly tune their Sonos system and because it depends heavily on the room I created a small test file that can help with the setup.Quick disclaimer:This test is about volumes between speakers and channels and what is technically the most accurate. If you don’t like the settings after the test, feel free to adjust them to your own taste afterwards.My recommendation is: perform a fresh TruePlay calibration, then test it with your favorite song and adjust your EQ settings so the song sounds best to you personally. EQ preferences vary a lot. some people prefer more treble, others a bit less. To match the bass, you'll find a step in this calibration video.For me TruePlay quick worked the best. With the advanced TruePlay I got some weird sounding EQ curves.I set my bass EQ to +3 because I wanted to give the sound more body through the speakers. I have a surround sound system of a PlayBar, Sub and two Play:1 speakers for TV and streaming. Since the last update I’ve had some issues.When trying to mute the sound or change the volume via the buttons on the Play:1s, the green light comes on then goes out and nothing happens. If I restart the speakers, they will work for a short while and then fail again. They are performing normally otherwise and are visible in the app as part of the system.I just remembered another issue. When I restart my Mac, the Sonos app can’t find the speakers until I go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network and flip the Sonos switch off and on. I know this is a known issue as I found the answer here when it first happened. Upgraded my TV. SAMSUNG QN55QZFDAFXZA QLED which does not have a dedicated optical port. It has the eARC/HDMI port. Purchased a eARC/ARC to Optical Audio Converter ESY266 in order to make the connection to the optical port on my PLAYBAR. Successful link and setup of my PLAYBAR and PLAY 1 speakers. Volume control via the SONOS app works perfect no issue. My question/issue is this….I cannot control the SONOS volume via the SAMSUNG  Smart TV Solar Remote Controller BN59-01432J A. This SAMSUNG remote is universal. Reading the details of the Audio converter it states  “this product does not support CEC functionality The optical interface cannot be used to control volume throught the TV remote” 

Hi everyone,I’m trying to decide between the Era 100s and Era 300s for my theater room to pair with a Arc Ultra and likely a sub under my sectional, was hoping to get some feedback on my setup.As the attached image shows, the TV is across from the longer side of the sectional, and there are two windows directly behind the couch. The picture doesn’t really show it, but the windows are recessed about 10 inches. The black boxes behind the sectional on the window sill at ear level are where I’d ideally like to place the speakers.My thought was to use the window sills since there’s enough room for either setup. The speakers would have roughly 2–4 inches of space behind them, about 10 inches on each side if I went with the Era 300s (and even more space with the Era 100s), plus plenty of room above them. The sill height lines up almost perfectly with ear level, and the sectional sits directly against the wall.Given this layout, do you think the Era 100s or Era 3

Hello, my center channel on my Arc Ultra is much louder than my left and right. Is that normal? I was hoping TruePlay would reduce it and balance it but it didn’t.TruePlay also has my Era 300 rears super loud. To be fair they are really close to my head but I have to turn off TruePlay and change the distance to less than 2’ on both of them. If left where they are I would say they are even louder than my already loud center channel.Any way in the future to have some adjustments to center and rears after TruePlay or are those loud channels supposed to be that loud? I know rears have a toggle but I can’t lower it enough even I I lower all the way down. Would be nice to run it and select less than 2’ as a baseline. Thanks!

Hi I have a 75x90 Sony TV with earc HDMI out TV i swall mounted and want to split audio, earc to Sonos Arc Ultra for movies etc but for concerts and music I want to feed to Naim and Kef system Orei make an earc splitter but does not apear to be available in UK at present.I do not want to use the optical out of TV as tha means accessing menus to change audio set up. Any other suggestions?  Many thanks 

Please share any eArc hdmi splitters that worked for you. Everyone was talking about Arkana, I’ve tried it, payed 400 usd with taxes, then spent several weeks trying to fix sound interruptions, changed tons of cables, trying all recommendations, but had to give up on that one and now looking for other options.There are plenty opt of hdmi splitters on Amazon, so would be great if anyone had success with any and will recommend.Thank you!

Hej,Jag har nyligen köpt en refurbished Sonos Beam (Gen 2) och har haft problem med att få den att fungera korrekt med min Samsung TV (UE55RU7475UXXC) från 2018.Via HDMI ARC är ljudet instabilt och växlar mellan TV-högtalare och Beam, särskilt efter att TV startats om. Jag har testat olika inställningar (Anynet/CEC, PCM/Dolby, omstarter och installerat om fler gånger), men problemet kvarstår.Jag har även testat optisk anslutning med medföljande adapter, men får då inget ljud alls. TV skickar signal (rött ljus syns), men Beam spelar inte och TV hittar ingen högtalare.När Beam väl fungerar upplever jag dessutom att ljudet är instängt och sämre än TV egna högtalare, vilket inte känns normalt.Jag vill helst använda HDMI ARC för stabil funktion och volymkontroll via fjärrkontroll.Kan ni hjälpa mig att:Identifiera orsaken till problemen Avgöra om någon del (t.ex. adapter eller enhet) är defekt Rekommendera b

A while ago I created this post: This is still a problem. For several games, if not all games, the volume is not how it should be. In the game Metaphor, dialoge form the sides are much louder than from the center. In other games, certain sounds seem too loud. These problems are especially bad when using Dolby Atmos on PS5, but also a problem in Linear PCM, in some cases just as bad like with the Metaphor example. I have tried several combinations without luck. This is not an issue with the TV or PS5 because this is not an issue with the TV audio. I am using passthrough on the TV and device type soundbar on PS5, but tested multiple combinations. Do I have a faulty Arc Ultra? I’m only using the Arc Ultra with my LG C4 TV, no sub or other speakers. I find it odd I can’t find anyone else reporting this. Edit: I think the

So I purchased an Sonos Arc Ultra.  Since I’m stuck in a hotel due to a flood in my home I can’t complete the wifi setup (can’t do it with hotel wifi).  I’ve tried the ‘create a hotspot’ trick, but the app doesn’t see the hotspot yet all my other devices do.If I were to bring my speaker to a friends home to connect to his wifi and complete the set up on the Sonos app, can I then bring it back to the hotel I’m staying at keep the connection to my phone/computer via Bluetooth or will it again ask to be set up?  I would really like to use it to listen to music and test out various settings while I’m staying at the hotel.  I could be here for a couple more months.  It was purchased due to my insurance claim and it was on a wicked sale and couldn’t pass it up.Thanking you all in advance. 🤘🏼🍻 Cheers!

Hello,I have a Sonos Playbase that has been presenting multiple issues that have made it impossible to use anymore. It first started to drop out playing TV audio over the optical cable (which replacing the cable did not fix). I then tried a factory reset and which has now caused issues trying to get it joined back to my home system. It doesn’t want to connect over WiFi at all. Instead, I’ve connected it to the network via Ethernet and got it to show up in the Sonos app as an available speaker to add. My phone will join its local WiFi network and listen for the initialisation/pairing sound but despite many attempts it will either fail to play any sound or play it for a fraction of a second and then go silent. This has rendered the speaker completely unusable.  Do you have any other recommendations of what I could try? Many thanks! 

Using Sonos Arc Ultra with Sonos Ones as surrounds. Whenever I launch Destiny 2 I get a distortion pop. Audio shows Atmos, but if I go outside the game(the Home Screen or store) while playing I lose audio or it lowers to barely audible.

We're building a new media wall unit, and am planning to buy an Arc Ultra for below the TV.Have I got enough space around the speaker for it to work, or am I going to have limited side firing speaker benefits if going into the side of a unit.Am I also better trying to have more space above the speaker between it and the TV also
