Sonos app 27 in italiano

Saluti

Google translate-

Good morning. For Italian users, I would like to point out an inaccuracy in the description of a function under the “Equalization” section. Below the frequency sliders, there is a button incorrectly labeled “Volume”; in reality, this switch activates the “Loudness” feature.

Best regards

It would probably be a good idea to report that to sonos support, so they can get the label for Loudness fixed.

Probabilmente sarebbe una buona idea segnalarlo per il supporto sonos, in modo che possano ottenere l'etichetta per la fortezza fissa.

Hi @kdowling

There is now a Translate option on the Community, after each post - no more need to translate posts manually! Hurray!

I saw that. It will come in handy. But, since I didn’t see Italian in the list, I wasn’t sure if it would work.

The German app has the same translation error, so Sonos will probably need to review and update other app translations as well.

Anche l'app tedesca presenta lo stesso identico errore di traduzione; probabilmente Sonos dovrà sottoporre a revisione e aggiornare anche le altre localizzazioni.

@Corry P thank you, I take the opportunity to also report a strong difference in volume regarding the new Beam Ultra: the gain in dB from one codec to another is really excessive: stereo PCM and Dolby up to 5.1 have little” difference, but when the codec is Atmos the gain is truly abysmal.

Hi @Ander984

This is commonly just due to the audio mastering of whatever content it is that you are watching and will likely vary (slightly) with each movie, but if you test many movies and see the same results, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team to report it. I doubt the Beam Ultra will be any different from any other of our soundbar products, but I suppose it is possible.

PCM is nearly always the quietest of the formats as there is no decoding performed - a slight gain adjustment is common in the decoding of Dolby codecs, and I often notice Atmos movies in particular to be louder on my Arc Ultra. A setting is even available on my nVidia Shield to boost PCM up to Dolby levels to prevent the change being too great. Depending on your source, you may have a similar option available.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply; I completely understand that the source may have volume discrepancies, but here I repeat, there is an abyss... a PCM signal, no matter how much it is decoded with less gain compared to the rest, should not have practically a 100% difference; I'll give you a concrete example: when you switch from a PCM file with the soundbar at volume 20 to an Atmos file, the increase in decibels is practically double, that's why I'm telling you it's a bit too much... on previous systems I've owned there was a difference of course, but not practically double... Furthermore, Atmos is really so much louder that it risks clipping the system… I reported it to support, but I doubt AI-generated responses (as you've seen) can reach the specialized team except through aggregation and statistics...
