Is anyone else having issues with amp multi being able to join other Sonos speakers in different zones? If I am able to get any of the amp multi channels to join other Sonos speakers it, or they, will eventually drop.

I want to use the era 100 as a speaker for my macbook. But the thing is that, my macbook only has USB-C. Is it an option?wireless connection is not very usefull

Hi all -I’m going a bit crazy trying to get this set up. I’ve got a turntable that runs through a Pro-Ject Tube Box S2 Amp to Kanto yu6 speakers. I’d like to set up so that I can either play purely through Sonos speakers via my Port, or through only the Kanto speakers. In order to do this I have a RCA splitter box that has one in, 2 out. My current setup is Amp → Splitter → Kanto (Option 1) OR Port (Option 2). On option 1, the Kanto Speakers work great. On Option 2 the Sonos speakers LOOK like they should be playing, but there’s no sound. I’ve checked the line in settings (set to AV component, volume limit off). When the Port is selected as Line in for speakers, I get the bouncing EQ bars that make it look like its playing, but even turned way up there is zero sound.I know the Port works because when I routed directly to the Port (no RCA splitter) the Sonos speakers worked just fine but in that setup I couldn’t get the Kanto speakers to work on their own.I’m several hours and attempted

Hi,I have BenQ 2150HT. I have ArcanaFury.I would like to connect that to Arc Ultra. I have tried all the advice on the Internet I could find. Am I doing something wrong or is this projector not compatible?ThanksK

I have noticed two problems with Sonos and Apple lately.  These problems have been seen on a relatively new imac and a mac air. The problems are: open sonos from dock and it just sites. i got to finder and its not responding. close out and send report to apple. when it does open at times comes up with can’t find your system - check firewall. close out of sonos re-open immediately and no issues.i do wonder if the two are related but unsure.

I have a Sonos Amp Multi and want to use 1 of the 4 zones as a Surrounds for my Arc.  I used to do this with my dedicated Connect:Amp.  I got the Amp multi to replace all of my Connect:Amps.  The single Sonos Amp product allows to pair with an Arc for surrounds, but the Amp Multi cannot for 1 of its 4 zones.

I know this has bene suggested before, but I don’t recall this particular use case mentioned just yet.  This is not about setting up a PC to act as a Sonos room, or really to be able to play games or watches moves through your PC with Sonos speakers.  It’s more about being able to use Sonos in a home office more practically.A problem I run into whenever I need to work from home is that I can listen to Sonos speakers, but I must regularly pause the audio due to a Teams call, or some audio from the PC I need to listen to.  This is really the issue I wish to resolve.Ace headphones actually resolve this issue pretty well with bluetooth multipoint.  Ace can be connected to my phone to play music, and to the PC for Teams calls. It automatically switches as needed, and switches back when a teams call ends.  I would consider this for home use, but I would rather listen to speakers, and don’t need headphones/headset for teams while at home.  It would be ideal if speakers had some sort of multip

Hi,I have 5 older Sonos speakers (Play:1 and Play:5 models) that still sound great, and I'm hoping to add Bluetooth/airplay playback capability to my setup. My understanding from research so far is that purchasing a single Bluetooth-enabled Sonos device (Roam or Era) would let me stream via Bluetooth to that device, which would then relay audio to all 5 of my existing speakers through the Sonos app/system.A few questions:Is this correct, will one Roam or Era let me Bluetooth-stream to all 5 of my existing speakers, or would I need more than one Bluetooth-enabled unit? Once set up, is grouping the rooms a one-time setup, or do I need to re-group them every time I turn the system on? If I'm hosting people and want guests to play music through the system, what's the process… do they need to group the rooms themselves, and would they need to download the Sonos app to do this? Or can they just stream from SoundCloud or Spotify direct into the system? Anything else I should know or watch out

Can you connect to a Sonos amp headphones from another brand?

how to set up a used Sonos

IT performance is severely lacking for such a premium brand. Why is there no integration of computers through the desktop app? Surely it's connected through the WIFI mesh system exactly the same as the TV? This seems like a basic oversight for the gaming community. Why should I need workarounds?

Hi everyone,  I built an open-source Windows app called RoomRelay for a use case I kept running into: streaming live Windows audio to Sonos speakers without needing AirPlay, Bluetooth, line-in hardware, or older tools.  It can stream:  - whole-system Windows audio  - audio from a selected application, on supported Windows versions  It discovers Sonos speakers on the local network and sends the stream directly over LAN.  GitHub:  https://github.com/guicn555/RoomRelay  Release downloads:  https://github.com/guicn555/RoomRelay/releases/latest  A few honest limitations:  - This is best for music, podcasts, radio, and background audio.  - It is not meant for low-latency gaming or perfect video lip-sync.  - The stream is local-network only.  - Per-app capture works best on current Windows 11 builds.  - You may need to allow the Windows Defender Firewall prompt on your private network.  I’m posting here because I’ve seen a lot of older threads where people ask how to use Sonos as PC speaker

I have an Amp connect and an Audioflow switch connected to 4 ceiling speakers. I wish to install a multi amp now and remove the Audioflow switch. I have provisions to connect 4 more passive speakers. Why can’t I purchase the multi amp direct rather then going through an installer.

I have two Sonos Era 100 speakers setup as a dual channel. I like to use them as speakers for my computer, and when I connect to them, it won’t play from my computer. I will need to disconnect and reconnect them, but even that doesn’t work all the time.I’ve figured out another solution, but it’s also not perfect. I will need to begin playing something through the Sonos app, and begin to play audio on my computer, and I will repeatedly need to start and stop the video/music, or move the volume up and down, and then sometimes it will shift to my computer audio. They are connected as two separate speakers, but through Sonos they get recognized as a L/R pair. Even when it does work through this, if I don’t keep a continuous stream of audio coming from my computer, it will stop connecting to my computer. I like to use Discord on my computer, but if I don’t keep a video/music on in the background, it will continue to cut in and out.  Is there a simple solution that I am missing? The speakers

Hi,I’m planning on a ceiling mount for the amp, where the amp would be upside down and there is nothing in amp manual that specifically either allows or prohibits that orientation. The amp would be screwed onto a metal plate about 50mm wide and 250mm long which in turn would be screwed to joists in the ceiling. Would that create a problem with ventilation, if so would it need to be spaced off the ceiling to allow airflow, or would I have to construct a U shaped bracket to mount the right way up and how much gap between the top of the amp and the ceiling - looking at pictures of the rack mount I would imagine ½ inch would be more than adequate

I am looking to purchase turnable bundle with era 100 can i group with a pair of roams to send sound to all three and have stereo separation on the roams?

Hello, I currently have a Mac Mini M2 Pro with a couple of Sonos One connected wireless via AirPlay. The system sounds perfect when I listen to music, but when I play videos on the Mac the sound is not in sync, that’s a known issue.I was wondering if adding a Sonos Ray to the system would fix the problem. Since the Mac Mini has no optical output, I would use the HDMI output connected to an audio extractor, and then an optical cable from the extractor to the Ray.Would it work? And then, would it make sense to group the two Ones with the Ray to create a “surround” system? Though I would not place the Ones in the back, but it would keep them on the desk, where they are now, so I guess such a system would sound more like enhanced stereo than real surround, but that would be ok with me. I will mostly listen to music through that system, but I just can’t stand the delay I have now when playing movies. And one more question: if I connect the system through optical cable as described above, could

Bit of a weird one, setup is 8 Play:3, roam & one amp everything was fine, now when I play our playlists from SoundCloud all the play3 speakers are fine, but nothing comes from the amp… tried removing the amp and reading to system, removed and reauth SoundCloud more times than I can remember. Any ideas?

I am trying to reset my Sonos Connect to WiFi after updating my local network. I follow instructions on the Sonos Ap on my iPhone to the point where it tries to joint the temporary network “SONOS.”  But I get a message “unable to join “SONOS.”  Any ideas what I am doing wrong or how to proceed?

I’ve done the factory reset on my connect amp, and it still will not connect to my existing system

Since Sonos update in February 4 out of my 6 x Sonos Connects now only play on very low (almost inaudible) volume.Anybody else with this issue or any solution found for the problem?

For years, Apple and Sonos have unsuccessfully tried to resolve my WiFi dropping issues. I’m still using my antiquated Apple Express as WiFi extender in Bridge Mode for my yard.  Ai finally resolved years long issue. My Apple AirPort Express is connected to AirPort Extreme via Ethernet cable through a standard unmanaged switch. My Sonos Connect is also connected to the same switch which caused Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) causing Extreme to repeatedly drop and reconnect.  Sonos Connect was still trying to broadcast its own wireless mesh network (SonosNet) creating a wireless-to-wired loop in the switch.  Resolved: In Sonos Connect Settings, the WiFi has to be switched to Disabled.  Hope this helps others those who still have wired phones. 🤣

Hi all 👋 - developer here, so take this as the self-promotion it honestly is 🙂Like many of you I have older S1 speakers (Play:1, Playbar era) that AirPlay and the modern casting world left behind — especially from a Windows PC. After years of wrestling with the free tools (SWYH & co.), I built SoundFling: a small Windows app that streams everything your PC plays to whichever Sonos rooms you select. Auto-discovery, multi-room sync, group volume, system tray.Works across S1 and S2. Fair warning on physics: there's a 1–3 second latency (fine for music, not for video).Free 7-day trial with no account needed at soundfling.com; one-time purchase after that, no subscription. I'd genuinely value feedback from this community — especially from anyone with mixed S1/S2 households.

I’m installing a Sonos Amp with an outdoor Samsung TV. The TV will be connected to the Amp through its HDMI ARC/eARC port, and the cable run will be approximately 20–25 feet.Because I need to keep the cable as thin as possible, I’m considering a 25-foot active fiber-optic HDMI 2.1 cable rather than a conventional copper HDMI cable. The cable is: HDMI 2.1 / 48 Gbps Active fiber optic Unidirectional 25 feet CL3 rated Advertised as supporting ARC/eARC, Dolby Atmos, 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz Can you please confirm whether an active, unidirectional fiber-optic HDMI cable that supports ARC/eARC is compatible with the Sonos Amp for receiving TV audio over HDMI ARC?In particular, is there anything about the Sonos Amp's HDMI ARC implementation that requires a conventional copper HDMI cable, or should a properly designed active fiber HDMI cable with ARC/eARC support work normally? If fiber HDMI is supported, please also let me know whether there are any special requirements regarding cable d

Sonos Amp + REL T/9x – two standby issuesI’m using the current Sonos Amp (125 W/channel) with a REL T/9x.I’m experiencing two separate problems that seem to be related to the Sonos Amp going into standby / the way the subwoofer signal is handled.1. LFE / RCA connectionWhen using the RCA SUB OUT from the Sonos Amp to the REL LFE input: With music, the REL wakes up normally even at relatively low volume. With TV, the REL often stays in standby at the same listening volume. I have to increase the volume considerably before the REL wakes up. Once it wakes up, it works normally. This makes me wonder whether the Sonos Amp's subwoofer output level is different during TV playback or is simply too low at low listening levels to reliably trigger the REL's auto-wake threshold.2. High-level connectionThere is another issue when using the REL high-level connection: after the Sonos Amp has been idle/in standby for around 2 minutes, the REL produces a fairly loud thump/pop when the system chang
