I purchased my 1st Sonos product today (play 1) and have it set up except I can’t get my iTunes account added to the Music Library.  It is asking for my “computer name” and I only use my iPhone because my laptop is outdated.  Is this possible to set up this way?  And If I have to use my laptop, how do I find the computer name? Thanks in advance for any help!  I am not very computer savvy!

I’ve had a new Panasonic TV for two weeks. Connected to Arc via eARC using certified HDMI cables. The Sonos room comprises the Arc, wired to router, a Sub (wireless) and two wireless play 1s. There is an annoying issue where the audio drops on the Arc for about five to ten seconds intermittently. It happens once per day, though for the first time it happened twice yesterday, within 30 mins of each other. This is mostly when watching live TV. As it is only once per day, it is quite hard to replicate and test on orther sources (apps on TV, NVidia etc.).This issue did not happen on the replaced TV; one of the reasons for the new TV was to utilise eARC.Any ideas? If a Sonos tech is available, the diag is 808361536.

Will Sonos net still be using 2,4 after this new firmware with 5 GHz support? And how to select channel?

I recently moved to a new home where the previous owner had one Sonos Connect and 2 independent amps to run music to 4 rooms: living room, kitchen, family room & master bedroom. I am currently using the Connect to direct music to the kitchen ceiling speakers.I own 2 Play 1 and a Play 5.Question- what is the most economical way to expand my use of this equipment short of just forgetting the ceiling speaker installs. Do I need to buy 4 Connects or Sonos Amps? Segregation of the music source is limited by those 2 independent amps which have an A/B System capability. Thanks Gerry 

Hi everyoneMy iPad app and all my Sonos devices were automatically updated to 14.12. And then, I cannot see my Roam any more…My iPhone app was still on  14.10, and the Roam was still visible (that is how I checked the Roam firmware version). When I upgraded the iPhone app to 14.12, the Roam vanished. I asked to the app to discover new products, but nothing happened. The Roam is still visible, and working,  through Airplay.Does anyone has the same situation ?

I get an an error 1002 (An error occurred while adding tracks to the queue).I read on another thread that it might have to do with some limitation from Apple, which would only work with playlsit of 1000 tracks and less… but I can’t (or don’t want to) believe that explanation. 1000 tracks is not that much!!Anybody here found a solution for this problem? Thanks a lot.

I have the Sonos move and I also compared it to the Bose portable smart speaker. The Bose app allows you to control the audio EQ while using the app and easily switch between wifi or bluetooth and turn off the speaker using the remote.  Another frustration with the Sonos app is that I can’t even see what percentage of battery is left when I’m on bluetooth. I know this is a wifi first speaker but since they added bluetooth, they should update the app functionality.  Does anyone know how to see the percentage of battery life on a Sonos Move when using bluetooth mode? Are there any 3rd party apps that provide the ability to control the power, switch between wifi and bluetooth, control EQ and show battery usage on while on bluetooth?  Thanks

Hey Sonos used for work well on my Roam speaker, however over the last week or so - it fails to work if something is being played from the speaker. It’s almost as if the microphone is disabled once music plays automatically.  The voice assistant works when nothing is playing - once playing it doesn’t pick up any voice commands (not matter how loud I shout!). If I manually pause, I sing the buttons at the top - it will then recognise my voice again.  I am aware of the doable microphone button and this is not the issue.  Can anyone help! It’s really annoying 

Like the title says, over a year later I am still having a problem with my Sonos amp stopping the audio during commercials when listening to TuneIn. The amp will show that audio has stopped and I have to restart the stream. This will happen every couple of hours through the day. It only happens when the audio trys to return from the commercials.If there is a Sonos support person, the diagnostic report is 475660968All of my Sonos hardware is hardwired and plugged into a switch Sonos Radio stations will play all day perfectly. There is no problem with any of my network cables All wireless is turned off as I will only ever use this product hardwired. Phone control is through strong wifi in my house, but that is really irrelevant since once the amp starts playing the audio the phone has no relation anymore I have two Sonos ports as well that will NEVER drop the audio stream. When they are grouped and the audio drops on the amp, they will automatically ungroup in the background.

Hi.I have a Canadian Sonos account but bounce back and forth between Brasil and Canada. I have Sonos gear in both countries. I know I can purchase Sonos HD Radio with a Canadian credit card and play it in Canada. But will it continue to work with that account when I return to Brasil, or will it be geoblocked according to my IP address or by another locator method?Thanks.

Looking at all your Sonos Radio stations and you have a category of Christian, but unlike every other music service out there you don’t play popular Christian or Worship Music.  You have a channel called Grace with a sub-name of Crossover Praise which is just pop music that might have a positive message.  I wish you would add a modern praise station that is consistently pure Christian music.  Examples are SiriusXM the Message or Pandoras Today’s Christian Hits Radio or Spotify Best of Live Worship.  Its almost insulting to think someone thinks the music played is what poeple are looking for under Christian Music.  

Hi all,  I don't really have problems putting my Sonos Beam working in my TV. It stream's Dolby Atmos on Netflix, HBO Max and Prime flawless.The thing is when I connect my laptop to the TV. I connect the laptop with an HDMI cable, but when I'm trying to setup Atmos home Theater it doesn't recognize it and I'm struggling to find a way to stream movies from my laptop to the TV and return Atmos, I'm only getting PCM audio. I understand that the problem might be related to the fact that even though the Beam is connected via eARC the laptop is only connected by normal HDMI.  Does exist a workaround for this?  How can I use my tv as a extended screen of my computer and have Atmos. Thanks in advance!!Cheers  

I am experiencing sync issues with Sonos 5 using Airplay to sync with Apple iMAC that has HDHomeRun device attached for TV access. Any suggestions as to how to stop sync issues?

Hii recently got a couple of symfonisk lamps to provide surround sound to the beam I have. On first install a couple of yesterday, everything went great and I was super pleased 👍🏼 today when I logged into the Sonia app on iOS everything had disappeared. Anyway reset the app and added the bean back following the unplug approach the app steps you through. Perfect.  Then I went to add the syfonisk lamp. I hard rest the synfonisk lamp and re added from scratch. It says it’s added successfully but it refuses to show within the system so I can’t create surround sound.  I tried the same with the other lamp and the same thing has happened. It mentions unplugging them and plugging them back in again but that doesn’t help. 😢 Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you 😊

I bought the pro-ject turntable with the pre-amp that was recommended by Sonos to connect to a sonos 5. I was getting a loud low hum coming through the speakers and I couldn’t find a way to ground the turntable to the speaker. I tried buying an upgraded rca cable that didn’t have the grounding wire, the sound quality improved a little but it still has a very heavy low hum. Is there a way that I can ground the other end of the wire to the line in on the sonos 5?

A music video, whether on YouTube or another video medium, sounds better with energy and punch than if I listen to it on Spotify.does sonos apply different equalization for video and another one for music streaming?I enjoy more when I listen to the songs from a video because they are heard with more energy and more punch and it is unfortunate how the music is heard from the bar if I use music that I have on my cell phone or from Spotify, my Sonos Five sounds better the music from Spotify that my Sono arc.Can Sonos improve this on the Sonos arc?

Anyone else have this? I called Sonos and they said it’s Amazon’s issue. VERY annoying and it’s only with stations on Amazon Music Unlimited.. playlists and albums are ok.

Like it says -- My Port is playing only the left channel of the music it’s streaming, but through both outputs.  I’ve done the obvious cable switching, power cycling, and such, but to no effect.  I still only get the one channel.Other notes: If I put the Port into “dual mono” mode, I get both channels, but appropriately merged into a single mono signal.  I also have a pair of Play:1s, and I get proper stereo playback through them.  The Port is connecting to the network via Ethernet (I’ve tried a wifi connection, just to be sure, but the problem remains). Weird.  Any thoughts out there?  Thanks!

Hi, Im new at SONOS, so Im looking for your advice. Right now, Im bulding a TV room in which I want to have these SONOS products, or at least know if I need them, but anyway I need some advice.I would like to have an Arc Soundbar under my TV, next will be the Sub (Gen 3), also Im looking to get the In-Ceiling Speakers by Sonos and Sonance, all of these for the inside, and for the outside the Outdoor Speakers by Sonos and Sonance.My main question is: do I need just one Amp, or two? Also, will these speakers sound together? Can I just play the inside speakers, and not the outsides, or the other way, just outside and not inside?

I have listened to Mixcloud on my Sonos Beam almost daily for the last 4 months or so. Yesterday I upgraded the Sonos Beam. Now Mixcloud rarely plays then quickly dies, and I am getting a slew of errors with the iOS app and macOS app.“An error occurred while adding track to the queue (701)” Unable to access the Sonos Beam at all from the iOS app. If I do get Mixcloud to play, it plays 2-20 minutes of a show, then skips to the next, within 1 minutes skips and finally gives up. After this Sonos is fully unresponsive. I trieda factory reset of the Sonos Beam. No difference. Checked the Sonos music service status page. All reported well.  Killed and restarted the iOS app. Sometimes it doesn’t even find the Beam until I reboot the beam. The only thing that helps for a little while is powering the Beam down and powering it up again. But less than an hour later it exhibits the same issues. Networking is so flaky that sometimes it won’t even connect bluetooth. Please revert your changes.

Hi there,I used to have 5.1.2 setup with Sonos arc and two play 1’s, but since I moved recently, the play 1’s aren’t really an option anymore. So I was wondering a few things.1. Is it possible to use Sonos Arc + Sub alongside a Sonos Amp + two in-ceiling speakers, and use the in-ceiling speakers as left/right behind the couch in my home theatre setup?2. Is it possible to have the same amp connected to another pair of in-ceiling or wall speakers for instance in the living room, and while running a movie on the home theatre sound setup, to be playing music on these? I just installed a new wifi router and since then have been unable to play any SiriusXM channel due to “song not encoded correctly” through my Sonos Play:1 speakers. Plus, I deleted my Spotify account because I couldn’t play anything either and now can’t add my account back. (I can, however, play Spotify if I use the Spotify app directly to my Sonos system.) Pandora seems to work fine.I’ve rebooted my speakers and router and forgotten my existing network. And when I try creating a new network, my app doesn’t recognize the speakers that I own — just ones that I believe were part of a Air BnB place I stayed a few months ago.Any suggestions?

I bought 2 Sonons ones for my home.  Did not realize they would not work with Bluetooth. I want my tv sound to come out of my Sonos one speakers.  If i buy a Sonos Ray will I be able to connect that to my wifi Sonos one speakers?
