Can you set up a Ray as a wifi speaker only?So skip the steps in set up to connect the Optical cable to the TV.A Ray would fit on top of my fridge as a great kitchen stereo system :)Thanks.

Hi, folks. I have a few Sonos devices and have overall been very happy with the system. But I do find one bug/limitation extremely annoying. It seems like if you have “too many” files in a local music library, Sonos just can’t cope with it, and shows “No selections are available” any time you try to use it. You have to delete some files to make your library usable again.I don’t use streaming services. I only play my own music, that I own. It’s pretty ridiculous that I have to delete parts of my library or move them to places where Sonos can’t see them (and so I can’t play them on Sonos!), just because Sonos can’t write proper database code or something. I've seen discussions of this problem before, for years, and always assumed this would get fixed with a regular update because it’s such a ridiculous limitation. But I’m starting to lose patience (and would like to be able to buy more music!)My library isn’t even *that* huge, anyway. I’m sure some folks have more music than me. I seem t

Hi,I have a multimedia room using Sonos play:1, play: 5 gen 2, Roam and the sub. The problem is that my play:5 doesn't work anymore with the Wi-Fi. It only plays if I connect it with the ethernet cable. I reset it and tried to add it back to the multimedia room, but it didn't work…The ethernet cable is downstairs....and I bought Sonos because I wanted a wireless network!!Any solutions??? Thank you! 

Diagnostic Submission 1715958179 I recently came across the error ‘Music Files Not Available’ with the sub text:[Network Path] is no longer available. The device where the music files are stored maynot be powered on, or the path may have changed.Go to Settings > System > Music Library > Music Library Setup tocheck the pathI know the path is perfectly fine as I can browse the files via my computer and the files play if I select them via Apple Music. I have rebooted my router, Sonos Controller is up to date, I’ve turned file sharing off and on again, deleted the music library from the settings and added it again, number of tracks <15k.So I have tried all I can think of with no success. 

Hello, I got huge problem with pair my Ikea Symfonisk to my Beam 2. I already tried to restart my router and both Sonos devices but nothing changes. From Beam options I can use option to add new device but somehow nothing shows here as avaiable option to pair. Both devices are under one wifi network. Any clue how i can fix this ? Oh and i got only one Symfonisk gen 2 right now but I assumed that this would not be a problem ? Also when i connected one speeker and adding second one to the same room then somehow Sonos app create second room (same name with added number) instead of just add speaker to existing room.My diagnossis number 499631236 

Hello, I recently bought a Ray bar and I’m using it mainly to listen to music.  During summer nights, we set up in our garden a projector to watch old movies. I plug an Apple TV 4k to it and until now I used an old set of wired speakers for the sound.  Can I replace the speakers with the Ray? Will I be able to use Airplay for the movie sound? The only HDMI port is used to connect the AppleTV to the projector.  Thanks for the assistance!! 

Hi All, Currently I’m managing about 6 or 7 sonos systems and they all have the same issue after the latest update.A lot of users use the spotify connect function that is in spotify to play music on the sonos systems. But since the last update this broke.I tested if it was the update by adding a speaker that was not yet updated which still had the feature. I updated that speaker after confirming it worked. And after update it bricked spotify connect again. Is there a solution? or is this a known issue? Kind regards, Chiel

I had my arc and sub paired and working good. But seems after i unplugged and moved both, the sub pairs with the arc but then while using the subs comes and goes. I’ve unplugged, removed and reinstalled  etc.  can’t figure it out. Any ideas?  Sub and arc are literally within 5 unblocked feet of each other.  I’ve reset both speakers and all components of the internet - router and wifi. 

Hi, I can get either my Arc and Sub to show up on the app, but not my three amps. If I delete the app and reload then I can get the three amps to show up, but not the Arc or Sub. I have tried wired individually and daisy chained and wireless, nothing seems to work. I have wired speakers connected to the amps, then work on individual TV’s, but not with the ARC and Sub. Is there something, I am missing?

Hi guys, I have 2 VLANS, 1 for my IoT devices which the sonos products are on and 1 for my personal devices like phone, laptops, tablets. My current firewall is setup so that any traffic from the IoT vlan to the personal vlan will be dropped. I also enabled multicast dns on my network settings. Originally my iPhone was able to cast to the sonos speakers via spotify. However the sonos s2 app was not able to find my sonos system. I created a firewall rule “source: sonos device IPs → destination: any device on port 1400, 3400, 3401, 3500, 1900, 1901. I found those ports on this page: Configure your firewall to work with Sonos. After I created the rule, my iPhone is able to find my system. When I try to use the MacOS S2 app found here on my personal network, it can’t find the sonos devices.QuestionDo the desktop / MacOS apps need additional ports configured in the firewall for them to work with sonos systems in a different vlan? My Setup Just In CaseNetwork HardwareUnifi Dream Machine Pro2

I recently moved and switched from Comcast to Verizon. Comcast required me to put the modem into bridge mode in order to operate the Sonos but Verizon did not.  We have a Play 5 and Sonos Move, and I also bought an Arc that I haven’t set up yet.  My issue is that the Sonos app continuously loses the network and I’m having to set it up multiple times a day.  Any ideas how to fix this?

I have had Sonos Beam plus 2 One SLs setup and working for a few months now and it was working beautifully playing music and TV. However it has suddenly stopped playing any sound through the surround speakers. The strange thing is I can control the volume from the Beam using the touch controls of the One SL but no sound comes out of them. I have checked everything and have even reset everything and set it all up again but issue persists.I can remove the surrounds and add them as a separate stereo pair and the play music fine - just not when as surrounds. If I remove them and try and re-add them I get an Oops! message after quite a long time trying. If I then cancel the setup the surrounds seem to have been added but again, they don’t emit any sound.Really confused as my system was working fine.Any help greatly appreciated. 

Unfortunately one of my "friends" connected to my sonos using Spotify connect while at my home and on my network.  I have since placed the sonos in its own network and do a factory reset as well as removing spotify.   But my "friend" can still connect and play music when they arent here, which they find extremely funny especially at night.  We have resorted to having to unplug the sonos at night.   I did find another thread from 5 years ago but with no updates:- Please can anyone help otherwise I am going to have to bin this device  Thanks in advance 

Hi there,I have two Sonos One SLs a Beam and a Sky Glass TV. For some strange reason whenever i try to play audio through the tv it only plays through the beam. If i try to play audio through an app like spotify on my phone i have no issues, music plays through the beam and the two sorround one sls. Can you please advise im perplexed and not sure what to do.   

Have a whole home Sonos installation including one Sonos Move. I've just added a Roam to use in my bathroom. It's off the charger and has gone to sleep, and appears that way in the app.  Do I really have to hit a button on it to wake it up? Can't I wake it from the app like the Move? (Slightly worried I've accidentally bought something I don't want)

I’ve had my pair of Sonos Moves for a couple of years and have always had them configured as a stereo pair.  It used to be that I could take one away and use it in Bluetooth mode, bring it back home, put it back in WiFi mode and the stereo pair would automatically come back.Recently, like in the last 3-6 months, have noticed that I almost always have to manually re-establish the stereo pair.  It only takes a minute, but is annoying. Is anyone else having this same issue?

Sonos app seems to be draining a lot of battery while my iPad is idling. It says 2 min on screen but 23h 19m background. Weird thing is I disabled the background app refresh for Sonos specifically.this has both happened while the iPad was at home at same Wi-Fi as Sonos and away on another Wi-Fi. I have submitted a diagnostic at number 412593457. I need my Sonos app to not kill the battery while idling. 

When saying ‘Play the new album by [artist]’ Sonos Voice Control plays a random track instead of starting at the beginning of the album. Is this a known issue or related to a setting I’m unaware of?

I have an issue which I thought I had sorted out last night by reading a really helpful post on the community.This morning a related issue but different outcome had presented itself.Basically I was getting no sound through the soundbar so turned off the HDMI-CEC controller in settings on the FireTV Cube audio visual settings.When I turned on the TV this morning I had sound through the surround speakers, no sound through the beam and sound through the TV speakers.The only way to fix it was to unplug the HDMI lead from the FireTV Cube, turn the beam off and then back on and plug the cube HDMI back in.After a couple of minutes the sound disappeared again so I turned the Beam off for 5 minutes and since I turned it back on there has been sound.This has happened a number of times since I installed the Cube on Thursday but there must be a technical reason for this.Can anyone offer any advice please.

I have been using my Sonos products with S1 Controller as I have a Play 5 that isn’t compatible with S2 app so I cannot migrate. The Play 5 is a perfectly good speaker, working fine, and I don’t see why I should pay to replace something that is working fine. All good for months and months.Today I try to start the S1 app and I get the attached, which I cannot dismiss other than close. I can no longer play any Sonos device. What have you done Sonos to the S1 controller app, and how can I resume using my system as it was yesterday. 

Hi,I own an IKEA SYMFONISK and I plan to aquire a SONOS Ray for my TV !I also plan to buy the Pro-Ject T1 PHONO SB but I’m not sure the device I described up here are compatible with it..Do you guys know if it can work together ?Thx for your help !

Hitrying to connect two roams and a move. Can’t get the second roam to play music . I can see it in my list of products , the volume control is there - but no sound any advice welcome thx

Any recommended monitors for Sonos Ray? As I know it has to have an optical port to play sound.

We have an 85” tv mounted. We have the Arc and want to mount it under the tv. We have bought the Sonos mount but do not have the directions. Please help with directions. Thank you!
