Use Amp as Port?

I just moved into a new home, the previous owners left a AV system with in wall speakers connected to a receiver. I own a Sonos amp from my previous home, can I use this to connect the receiver to Sonos? I understand that this is usually done using a port but I am wondering if I can use the existing component which I own instead of buying a new product

Thanks for your help!

The amp has speaker level outputs only.  If the receiver can take speaker level inputs, then yes.  There are also some speaker (high) level input to RCA converter devices out there.  I don’t have any personal experience with any of this, I just know they exist.

You could buy a sonos connect second hand if you are using gen 1 and if the receiver has record outputs.  I dont know if its replacement, the Sonos Port will do the same.
