Whenever I lose power the Sonos system (5 devices) no longer are recognized by the Sonos app. I try dozens of times to reset.  No luck.  Amazon Alexa has no issues, reconnects right away and allows me to control the devices in seconds.  Typically after a week, the Sonos app starts to control again without any intervention by me. Does anyone else experience something like this? Thanks!

How to access playlist?  Shows available but will not play.  We have gone to system preferences/security privacy/privacy tab/full desk access.  It still doesn't work.  What should we do?

I am requesting some feedback for a recent problem I have encountered with my iTunes music playing on my Sonos system. Two weeks ago, I encountered the following message-the song is not encoded correctly-when playing some music on my iTunes playlist.  The problem does not appear to be widespread as I can play from my music library w/o encountering this situation.  However, I don’t know the extent of problem as I have nearly 20K music files in my library.  The problematic files have the same file extensions as these that Sonos still recognizes-mp4.  At this point, I am using roam, arc and port as my Sonos sound backbone.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

I have one Sonos Soundbar and two Sonos Ones (G2) that simply do not want to be part of the same room. Two Ones were set up as Living Room and play nicely. When I try to add Soundbar it is always created as a separate “Living Room 2”. I can group them as two separate rooms to play the same music, but if I try to tune them they get tuned independently as two separate rooms.Any way to make all three speakers part of the same room as the same setup?

I have two homes, one with Sonos first generation products and the 2nd home with newer generation Sonos product.  If I keep the first home on the gen1 app, can I just set up the 2nd home on the new app but use my same Sonos account for both apps.  Looking for any suggestions as to how best utilize my Sonos products at both locations.  Thank you.

I have an all Wi-Fi setup for my TV and want to connect the same setup temporarily to my projector but It only has one HDMI port and doesn’t have AirPlay audio support, however it does have Bluetooth support. So therefore my question is;Will adding a Sonos Roam to the setup allow me to make my current setup work with my TV as normal whilst also adding the option of Bluetooth connectivity to my projector?

Hi , open reach engineer came out yesterday to replace our old router with new super fast fibre optic broadband, 2 Eero routers now in the house 1 wired off the Ethernet cable the other in the kitchen is linked to it.however we have Sonos devices sound bar sub woofer and new play bar in another room plus a play upstairs , none of them are connected to the Sonos app account and none of them especially the sub will connect to WiFi , we tried for hours last night to connect , I found this forum and this morning changed the settings on the Eero to bridge , still didn’t find any Sonos products but then the smart tv would connect to the internet either , before I made the changes this morning, they had previously connected fine , now I have no idea how to move this forward . sound bar and sub are almost 5 years old , not sure what gen they would be as I, m not that technically minded …. please help

I've bought a gen on EBay (selled as gen 3) but I'm not sure about the gen.Could you tell me the gen with the serial number please? Thanks in advance  Moderator edit: removed pictures with serial numbers (but recorded them).

Hi, I subscribe to the PlanetRadio service to listen to Scala Radio without the adverts. I have successfully used this feature on my Sonos system for the past year however in the last fews weeks, the Premium features are not recognised and I get all the adverts. My PlanetRadio subscription works fine on my iphone and ipad.  I have tried everything I can think of…Re-authorizing the service Removing the service and re-adding. Shutting down all my Sonos devices and starting up using one factory reset Play 1The problem persists. Does anyone else have a similar issue? Any solutions? I have contacts PlanetRadio but they’ve only suggested the basic re-authorizing steps. Tim.

Had sonos linked to a Spotify premium account for about 5 years now & having upgraded I now get adverts playing utilising my premium Spotify account!! How can resolve this annoying situation??

How to put a second family person on the Sonos application. Thank you

My Era 100 speakers keep disappearing from the app and I can’t play them. I am using BT smart hub 2 with Linksys velop for WiFi. I keep having to reboot the speakers and router to get the speakers back. After a while they disappear again. I have tried changing the WiFi channel on the BT smart hub and have disabled the smart WiFi channel connection on the hub, but it makes no difference. I have play 1 and one speakers on SonosNet using a boost and they work fine.

HiYesterday, I installed my Port and it worked largely as advertised. My system has a turntable, vacuum tube preamp and vacuum tube power amp. The port’s RCA inputs are connected to the preamp’s output, and the port’s RCA outputs are connected to the power amp’s Line in. I can play the turntable through the Sonos speakers, which is why I bought the Port, but I can no longer play the turntable just (not through the Sonos speaker) through the hifi speakers without first removing the Port. Is there an app setting I’m missing, or does the Port not just pass through audio signals if the app is not in use?

I have a Beam Gen 2 plus 2 Sonos Ones as surround sound for my Hisense TV. All streaming services work fine (Netflix, iPlayer, 4onDemand etc) however Disney+ does not work perfectly. Every now and then it drops out for a millisecond. When checking with Sonos support they ran a few checks and said the speaker network was dropping quite regularly, but weirdly this only seems to be on Disney+. Annoyingly there's no way to reinstall the app on the TV, so not really sure what else to try. Disney+ did work perfectly for about 3 months or so.Any thoughts?

I have a 5.2 set up with the arc, two subs (gen 3), and two era 300s as surrounds. When I play music (Spotify) through my TV, I am hearing a lot more sound from the Arc and subs, but not as much from the surrounds. When I play music (Spotify) through the sonos app, the surrounds are much more pronounced and the subs/arc is less pronounced. It seems that my EQ and Surround settings are the same… Is their something I am missing?

HI, I changed router to an Orbi RBR350 and my Sonos first wouldn’t connect. I did a factory reset on the Sonos, and now it can get on the wifi but now won’t let me register the product to add to my system. Can anyone offer any advice, please? Thanks

Hi there,I did search before I posted but never noticed a solution to my specific question I have a multi room setup at home with 7 Sonos devices all using S1.I use a Move as part of that system mainly for my hot tub but it is of course still part of the multi room system. This weekend however I would like to take the Move away from home to use in a motorhome at an event mainly to listen to the events local FM radio which might also be found being streamed and maybe Amazon Music or music from my iPhone.I have an electrical hookup on the pitch but if that fails I can of course use the 230v supply through an integral inverter. The motorhome does not have its own router and there is no Wi-Fi on site AFAIK. The only Internet access would be from my mobile phone but that depends on the coverage in the middle of a field and the contention that you usually see at an event. How best would I use the Move under these circumstances?Would I toggle it to Bluetooth, pair it to my iPhone and just use it

I’m in the Sonos Beta version of the app and suddenly cannot play Pandora. I’ve tried quitting the Sonos app, removing Pandora and adding. I’ve authorized it today several times. The problem is on iPhone, iPad.The SONOS app on my laptop will not update.

I haven’t seen this exact problem mentioned, apologies if I just missed it.I have an issue where only some of my music library files will not play on Sonos. If one of the “bad” files is in the queue, it will play the first few seconds, then switch to the next file. Often these occur in clumps, where several files in a row won’t play (but the rest of the files from the same album will). As far as I have been able to tell, once the problem is occurring, it’s always the same files that won’t play, but the problem is intermittent (for example, a set of files that I couldn’t play yesterday are working fine today). The same files always play fine using other apps such as VLC or Rythmbox (Linux). I have seen both OGG and MP3 files exhibit the issue. To control my system I use the Sonos S2 controller running on a Windows 10 system, or the Android app running on various devices. In each case the music files are being accessed from a Samba server (SMB) running on a Raspberry Pi 4, from an extern

Hello all! This is first time posting and first Sonos system.  I am in the process of finishing out my basement and creating a theater room.  I currently have an ARC, 2 subs, 2 in wall speakers, 2 in ceiling speakers and 2 amps.  The plan is mount the ARC under the TV with the 2 in wall speakers on each side of the TV and use the ceilings as rears. First question -  Will the above set up even work? Second question - Can I add another pair of in ceiling speakers (with another amp I’m guessing) and create a left and right pair for the rears? Third question - Is there a better way to do this? lol Thanks!

Hi.  I just got a new MacBook Air with Ventura OS and M2 chip.  I migrated all apps including the S1 controller from my old MacBook.  The app started but I could not access my music library and it told me I needed to update.  Update attempts failed so I uninstalled the app, and now I cannot find an installation file to install S1 on Ventura.  Where can I find that file, and should I be able to get a “latest version” running on Ventura so I can use my Music Library again? Thanks,Greg

Anyone know if a move can play in sync alongside 2 play 3's in the same room?

Hi there - naive question for the group as I consider the purchase of a group of Amps for a whole house audio setup. Are Amps connecting to music streaming services and pulling the actual data from these services VS merely receiving data that I’m downloading on my phone and then redirecting to the Amps?Said otherwise: if I were to walk away and become out of range of my WiFi network … would Amps still be able to play whatever playlist or music I’d have started?

My Sonos Roam has severe configuration issues. When it shuts down, not standby, and I wait for couple hours, it is back in factory defaults, green LED and needs to be linked again. This happened before occasionaly once a month, now it happens daily. I have good wifi coverage, client steering disabled, and IP address fixed. Nothing helps. The most anoying point is that almost every time I want to use bluetooth it has lost the config snd I must go back to the home network to couple again. Total useless device when on vacation. Is there a way I can avoid losing the config or is it just broken?Cheers

HI when I use airplay streaming music, then I couldn't control the volume to max.maybe if I turn to 80% volume then it auto change to 20%. My speakers is 4ohm.  When I use 8ohm speaker haven’t this issue ThanksLuke
