Sonos sub Gen?

Question

I've bought a gen on EBay (selled as gen 3) but I'm not sure about the gen.

Could you tell me the gen with the serial number please?

Hi @MinijulWelcome to the Sonos Community!The Sub with the reported serial number is a Generation 2 model.I have removed all copies of the serial number from your post as it can be used as identifying information.I hope this helps.

The manufacture date from the first 4 digits of the serial number (shown earlier) is December 2017 - the Sub Gen3 was not released until June 2020.

My personal guess is it’s a Gen2 (released 2016), but perhaps see this comparison between Gen2 and Gen3 Subs…
