I’m not particularly tech savvy so apologies in advance for any confusion on my part.  I have a Netgear Orbi router with two different RBS50 satellites in my home, as well as several Sonos speakers throughout the house and a connect AMP that is wired to outdoor speakers on my back patio.  I recently set up an Orbi outdoor satellite to enhance my wifi signal outside.  At first, everything worked swimmingly and I had no issues connecting to my Sonos system while outside. However, I recently had to restart my modem + router, and ever since then the Sonos app cannot detect my system when I am outside.  I am still getting perfect wifi signal (which I assume is due to the outdoor satellite I added) but for whatever reason my Sonos system cannot be found.  Or, on occasion, it finds a couple of the indoor speakers but cannot find others, including the Connect AMP (which is particularly frustrating because that is what powers my outdoor speakers, as I noted above).  Any help in getting this iss

I am loving using the new Sonos Voice Control version 1.1 features particularly when a song is playing on a live radio Stream such as Apple Music 1 and you can say something like : “Hey Sonos, play a station by this artist” or “Hey Sonos, play a playlist by this artist.” You can also say, “Hey Sonos, play more songs by this band/artist.” I notice that using Sonos Voice Control if a song is playing you can say “play more like this” and it will play one or two further similar songs - perhaps a feature which will be further developed later on - as I would like the stream to play more than one or two similar songs. I also see the ability in the Sonos App to start a station manually based on/from an individually selected a song. I would love this feature to be available using voice commands - just like the functionality of the HomePod mini - as I am contemplating whether to buy one of these to get this feature or upgrade my audio to stereo audio with an Era 100 - which I tried in a local te

I have 2 sonos One, the have to play in 2 different offices - but as 2 mono devices.because if I put them in stereo mode, when turning up the volume on one device automatically turns up the volume on the other.therefore I need them to be 2 seperate units - but playing the same playlist..how is that possible ?

Trying to install Amp on my app App sees the Amp, starts installation and asks for 8 digit code. It then tells you to push the green lit join button. However the join button is not lit  Stuck. Suggestions??

Hi all,My house currently have a pair of ceiling speakers above my sitting area across the TV location, so it got me thinking what the best Sonos home theater set up to buy.Arc, Sub and 2x Era 300. This is the latest recommendation from Sonos, but it won’t use the speaker that’s already in place which seems to be a waste, and I wonder if the overhead sound by reflection would be as good as actual ceiling speaker. It also sucks that I can’t add an Amp since it exceeds the maximum number of speaker in a Sonos set up Arc and Sub, then add 1x Amp for ceiling speakers, and install 2x in-wall speaker paired with 1x Amp. Does this provide Atmos rendering? I don’t see in any documentation on whether this is more than what the Sonos system support. Would this be better than Option 1?Thanks for the feedback!

If someone could help me with some tips I would be very appreciative…. my wife will think I’m a savior! I just purchased a home with a projector setup in my living room. There is an Epsom projector which has an audio out line into a Connect which is using WIFI (smaller version), for video the projector is using an Apple Tv. Whenever we use the TV we repeatedly have to repair the Connect into the projector and the Connect Amp in my media closet. Anytime we start watching, pause a show, move between streaming services, or if the Apple TV goes into sleep mode. Both devices are always connected in the app, we just have to repair them constantly! Any tips?

Hello everyone,My installation is composed of:2X play bar2X SUB2X Play 33X One1X One SLall speakers are connected to an ethernet cable except 1X ONEsince a few days the music did not stop cutting then it is my complete network of the house which did not function any more.At first I tried to reset my wifi antennas but nothing worked.However I unplugged the cable that goes to my netgear where all the sound systems are connected and the network works.I test 1 by 1 which speakers are the problem and I discover that my playbar and my sub in the living room drop the network as soon as it is plugged in.Strange that it's two devices that do this .So I reset the two elements the addition goes very well everything works wireless but as soon as I plug the ethernet cable no network anywhere.I test my cable with a pc and they work perfectly.I don't know what to do anymoreIt seems like a conflict of ip when I plug them in.I'm not sure what to do, but I'm sure I can help.Translated with www.DeepL.com

Hi all…I’m having a problem with the sound output on my Arc and 2 x Sonos 1 rears. I’ve done the basics right - e arc connection on TV and ‘Auto’ on the sound settings on the TV, but sometimes, say, through the native Netflix app for instance, a film that states Atmos will state “Dolby Multichannel 2.0 PCM on the Sonos app. It doesn’t always happen, so I know my set-up is ok. Is this Netflix not showing the correct sound output?Thanks in advance.

Since yesterday sonos can’t access my Synology NAS. “Access to the shared folder is denied - check the username and/or password.”SMB1 is clicked, as is NTLMv1 authentication. Using the controller S1, but same problem when accessing via windows pc. //NAS/music or \\NAS\music//192.168.1.11/music (and also back-slashes), all don’t work and give me the same error message.  Can anyone help?Thanks! Hello I would like to  connect my Sonos Connect to Samsung HW-Q990B. Can I use the digital optical audio cable? what android should I use?

I just bought a Port to plug into my receiver in my office via coaxial digital.  I also have a stereo pair of Symfonisk bookshelf speakers, a Roam, and an Era 100.  I have noticed that when I try to group them all together, only the Port is slightly out of sync with the other devices.  I have to go into the audio delay on the receiver to adjust the lip sync delay to about 3 to 4 milliseconds in order to get the audio close.  Is there a way to adjust the sync from the Sonos app so I don’t have to keep readjusting the receiver?The Port and one of the Symfonisk speakers are plugged in via Ethernet.  Everything else is connected via Wi-Fi.

I have an existing sonos 5 speaker that connected easily and I recently purchased a second sonos 5 for the same room. I have not had any luck trying to “add a product”.  I have disconnected the new speaker and reconnected to see if I could add that product — no luck. I then tried disconnecting and reconnecting the router — no luck adding the product.  I have also tried to disconnect the old sonos 5 and adding the new product — no luck there as well.  I am adding the product with my iPhone 13 and I have turned it off and restated that (thinking that may be an issue) — no luck adding the product.  Any more ideas how I can get this going??  Thanks!

I am writing this as a some what measure after spending almost 2hrs on the phone with 2 different customer service people.  The first was helpful but didn’t resolve the issue, the 2nd was absolutley uesless and dismissive. Wow. The short… I’ve had sonos for years, I have a large DB of songs that have played fine.  But after updating to 15.3 its a fire in the whole.  For me the problem seems random.  I can see and play most of my songs but many indicate that they are “not encoded correctly”.  Also MANY of the songs don’t even show up in search, even though they are only my NAS and can be played if accessed directly.    I’ hav deleted files, and uploaded new versions and nothing gives.  Its just random and thats the worst part about it!  My song collection is largely from CD rips and purchases from various sites.  I do not use apple.music.   The punch line… all of this was a none-issue before upgrading to 15.3I have an open ticket number #[removed] and I would appereciate any help that y

I have the following setup in backyard: Amp connected to outdoor 3rd party speakersAmp LFE connected to dedicated sub amp LFE input I plan to add another Amp and 2 more speakers to create surround sound for movies. If I wanted to add another sub with its own dedicated amp, can I do the following?1. Y-split the LFE output of the primary Amp that's powering my current speakers and connect the split connection to 2nd sub amp?2. Can I use the LFE output of the 2nd Amp (powering surround speakers) and connect it to the LFE input of the 2nd sub amp? TIA!

I have two pieces of Sonos gen 1 gear (a Play:5 and a Connect), which I use to play songs kept on my Synology NAS.  I have SMB1 and NTLMv1 authentication both enabled.  This used to work fine, but as of the last Synology software update it fails.No other devices on my home network (and there are many) have any issues; it is only my Sonos gear.I have seen many other posts with this same issue, and your response in all cases that I’ve seen is that this is my problem because I’m still on S1, and you’ve fixed this in S2.  Fine, how do I run S2?  What is my upgrade path?  Because if the upgrade path is to throw out all my Sonos gear and spend over $1000 on new gear, that doesn’t really work for me.

Browsing by composer misses many CD’s. Update Music Library Now misses quite a bit of CD’s. Looking for ideas as to why. Browsing by folder reveals all of the CD titles.What S2 shows. Last 2 items not in Beethoven folder.Directory listing of Beethoven folder as stored on NAS 

I integrated the itunes library into my SONOS app and everything works fine both on Wifi and Bluetooth.However, if I just want to play music directly from my itunes app to the Sonos Move over wifi it does not work??  Bluetooth works fine.  I guess there is no way to map the direct itunes music from the itunes app to the Sonos move. 

I never thought sound setting could be so complicated, the settings you need to change to make things work and no device gets it quite right. I am using a LG C1 with an Apple TV 4K and a PS5. My Sonos setup is an Arc with sub and a pair of Ones. There are numerous options to try and get the audio format that works for everything but all seem to be a compromise and fairly confusing, at least to me.Firstly the Apple TV, when the LG tv is set to passthrough there is no Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus, it passes the audio as LPCM 7.1, but Atmos works. You can change format in the Apple TV settings which makes it send DD 5.1 but for some reason turns off Atmos when this is done. I am unsure why there is no way to set it to play DD for non Atmos and keep Atmos on, or why you can’t select other formats like DD Plus. I have read that LPCM is better because it is lossless. But for me Dolby sounds better, as though it is not just about channels but how Dolby separates audio sent using Dolby

Am considering getting an Arc and surrounds. Wondering about whether the 300s provide a big advantage over the  100’s. Any thoughts?

my sonos system consists of 2 Roams and a Move all in different rooms of my house. I have a Deco mesh wifi system consisting of my main router and a mesh pod upstairs, they each provide full coverage for my entire home (home size is 3600 sq feet).  My sonos system rarely is always functioning at the same time, one, two or all three speakers are usually not on the network. when i turn them all off, turn them all on, reset the router sonos rarely if ever connects all the speakers. the speakers magically just appear and start working again after an hour or two and them disconnect randomly so i have reset them all and redo the router. it’s very frustrating. i ordered a Sonos blast to see if that will help. If it doesn’t i’m giving up on Sonos and switching to something more reliable for my home stereo.
