Hi,
The standard theatre setup is to pair beam gen2 with a pair of era 300, I wonder to pair the beam gen2 with 1 era 300, would this enhance the Atmos audio or it just have to be one beam gen 2 with 2 rear Era 300? Thanks

You need 2 for surround sound.

Sonos does not permit the use of only one Era 300 in the way you are suggesting. If used in a home theatre/Atmos configuration, you will need to bond a pair of Era 300’s to the soundbar.
You should carefully consider your primary anticipated use case, in light of Sonos’ recent (belated…) admission that the front-firing driver is forcibly disabled when the 300’s are used as surrounds. Many users are unhappy with such an arrangement particularly as it relates to 5.1-dominated TV content and general music playback:
FEATURE REQUEST: Add option to enable “Center speakers” (more threads are to be found elsewhere both on and off this forum)
So then, “caveat emptor”—most were not so lucky to have been responsibly informed of this in advance.
Thank you so much
