I've bought a gen on EBay (selled as gen 3) but I'm not sure about the gen.

Could you tell me the gen with the serial number please?

The manufacture date from the first 4 digits of the serial number (shown earlier) is December 2017 - the Sub Gen3 was not released until June 2020.

My personal guess is it’s a Gen2 (released 2016), but perhaps see this comparison between Gen2 and Gen3 Subs…

The Sub with the reported serial number is a Generation 2 model.

I have removed all copies of the serial number from your post as it can be used as identifying information.
