I have two homes, one with Sonos first generation products and the 2nd home with newer generation Sonos product. If I keep the first home on the gen1 app, can I just set up the 2nd home on the new app but use my same Sonos account for both apps. Looking for any suggestions as to how best utilize my Sonos products at both locations. Thank you.

This is correct. Both of your Sonos systems will be considered a separate household ID under the same account.
