I am unable to setup Alexa, or Sonos voice control for that matter, but Alexa is the main issue. Each time it goes from ‘Sign in to Amazon’ to ‘There was a problem adding Alexa’. It’s on my network, as I can play music. I did a factory reset, but no luck. This is very frustrating for a new product and new Sonos user. Thanks in advance!

I have era 300s as surrounds with an arc and a sub. Yesterday I noticed when listening to atmos music tracks that the 300s suddenly got way less pronounced on the same settings. I then tried an atmos movie and that too was less pronounced. Had to turn surrounds up considerably. Anyone else notice this?  

Hi, I have the Sonos Beam Gen 2 system and a Samsung QLED Q70T TV. When playing PS5 with Atmos, I experience 2-second audio cuts, which is quite annoying. I would like to know if there is any solution to this issue.

Ok I’m transitioning to the Sonos world from Apple. Saw the Move 1 on sale at Costco for $299. Seems like a great price $150 less than a Move 2. I bought two for a stereo setup. I’m a big fan of Peter Pee on Youtube and he has me convinced the Sonos Five is probably the best choice. As far as I can tell the current gen 3 has been out for about 3 years and it looks like Sonos introduces a new version about every 5 yrs.  The question is whether Sonos Fives will go on Black Friday sales or any sale price before the end of the year.

Hi,I have a Stereo Pair of Sonos Fives and wanted to know if i used them as line in would they drastically sound better than using Air Play 2?I have a DAC which is a FiiO K7, so i was going to run this from my Mac or IPhone to line in to the 5’s. Do the 5’s have an internal DAC and will this be a problem using my K7?Also, I’m wondering if i can’t be bothered to hook up my devices, could still use Airplay? This will be mainly for my partner who doesn’t care about sound quality. I dont want her going anywhere near my DAC while it is connected to my 5’s = Volume blown 

With the new update in PlayStation 5, we can use Dolby Atmos, but if I activate it, sometimes I hear a loud pop. Are you thinking of a quick solution to this issue?My setup is Sonos ARC, Sonos Sub Gen 2, and two Sonos SL as surround sounds. My TV is a 65” LG C2

I’ve read about similar issues and tried the solutions, but mine is slightly different and not resolved yet. We have an alarm set for each weekday OrganLive from tunein at 6:54. It is fine on Mon, Wed, Thu, and Fri, but on Tue it plays a local station WESA 90.5 from Radio.net we have set in a different room at 6:30. No other alarms are set at that time, and no other apps are set. I’ve deleted and reset the alarm - that’s how I ended up at 6:54- but it still happens. I’ll try to submit a diagnostic when it happens next Tue. 

Youtube music isn't updating my playlist, I only have 3 Playlists in my library, 1 of which I use regularly which has roughly 900 songs. Within the SONOS app it's only displaying roughly 100 songs.Things I've tried:Reinstalled the sonos app/youtube music appTurned off and on SONOS system, even factory reset both of them.Removed the youtube service from the app and back.Out of options is there anything to resolve this issue? 

I’ve used SONOS products for 6+ years and never had an issue.   I purchased an ARC last year and couldn’t get the product to register through the app.  I’ve called customer service a couple times, last time spending more than an hour doing the same activities (reboot, factory reboot/reset, router reboot, hardware into network).  I can not get this device to register, which means I can’t control sound from the app (which is one of the handy features).  I’m curious if I have a defective device but I’m trying to find the receipt from Best buy (think it was after last Christmas).  We are running an Eero router/wifi (aaris router) but unsure if that’s the issue.   I’m open to suggestions but we’ve tried everything….

I have a Sonos Connect attached to a Sony receiver in my garage for my outdoor speakers.  I also have 5 other Sonos speakers in different rooms throughout the house.  Nothing has changed with the placement of these speakers or my wireless router for several years.  About 3 months ago whenever the Connect is being used for music playback the music intermittently cuts out.  There can be times where it is cutting out so often we can’t even use Sonos.  Other times it is very seldom and other times we can play music for 3 hours uninterrupted.  This happens when we are using the connect individually or grouped with one or more speakers.  We never have music cut out when using the other speakers without the Connect in the group.  Any ideas of what could be causing this?   

We all pay to excess for a premium product when the fundamentals of that product doesn’t work… and it gets worse.  For weeks, if not months now, music is been unable to play through my system due to song not encoded correctly. Is there a fix on the horizon?!Every playlist, album or artist will play a song, maybe play 5 seconds of a song before stopping or skip the song completely because of an error above. This is whilst playing YouTube music through both android or iOS app. Speakers have been restarted or attempted to play on different speakers in the house to no avail.  I am currently using a move or roam around the house as a very expensive Bluetooth speaker or radio. I’ve read that Apple Music users are also having a similar issue, but how much longer can people continue to pay for a product where it’s one function does not work… SORT IT.

Hi,if I was to connect my passive speakers to an Amp as front speakers in a home theater setup, and then couple them with two Era 300 for the rear channels - would I get Dolby Atmos sound? Obviously, the passive speakers are not able to play Dolby Atmos, but the Era 300s are. Do they need a Arc/Beam gen2 for Atmos to work, or can the Amp work as well?

Let me start by saying my pal helped set this up because I am NOT an audio guy lol. However, my left speaker has started to buzz when the line in/analog is selected. I tried replacing the pre amp but that isn’t the issue, so that leaves my older zone player as the cause. Any suggestions on what to replace this setup with? Thanks! 

I have two Sonos Play 3 units both in perfectly beautiful shape, barely used. I have called Sonos support about 5 to 7 times over the past few months. They told me that Sonos 3 is no longer supported and they will send me a 30% coupon.  No one has ever reached out again with a response or a product mail back label. The speakers are expensive, include many non recyclable parts and a lot of non recyclable plastic. These two large speakers no longer work because Sonos decided to make them obsolete with new software and created no fix to keep them working with new systems. Really?  It will be 2024 soon… is this how Sonos as a company acts in alignment with its values?  I don’t have much discretionary income… single mom, 4 kids in college. I splurged on these systems 3 years ago because all my boys are music lovers.  I keep calling to get them to work… but they never will again.  The newer version similar to Play 3 is the Sonos 5, is 749$. Hi,  Recently purchased a Sonos ray. Looking to connect it to my tv wirelessly as my tv is on the wall and I hate any visible cables. Is there anyway I can connect the optical wireless with a transmitter or anything? I have spent a Long time googling and cannot seem to come up with any answers. 

Every time I reboot my router ( for example due to an upgraded firmware ) my sonos one loudspeaker is losing its radio station and I have to use the app to set the speaker again to the station.Isn’t the speaker able to keep its preferences ?I use a lan connection to my soundbar and the sonos wifi networkApart from this my setup works really good. 

I have a Marantz NR1604 with B&W 5.1 setup in my living room. I also have a pair of B&W M1’s in my kitchen, bedroom, and office all wired back to the receiver. Each room was previously connected to the receiver pre-out with an Aiyima A07 amp. I wanted something a little higher grade that would also allow me to AirPlay to an individual room with ease, so I picked up 3 Sonos Amp’s. Last night I configured one and connected it to the pre-out of my Marantz. It *seemed* like it was working OK. Then today I configured another one of the Amp’s and now there is a very noticeable delay versus my 5.1 living room. I stumbled upon this old comment which I think answers why: When SONOS players are “Grouped” there is a 75ms latency. The latency is reduced to about 30ms for the TV connected to PLAYBAR/BEAM/ARC/RAY/PLAYBASE/AMP.So once I added the additional Amp to my system, then the delay more than doubled and became noticeable. Hello all!I need some advice please.What do you think is the most convenient way to install the Era 300 for my situation? I have both Era 300 on a stand.I hesitate to place the Era 300 at #1 or #2. I like to listen to music during the day, especially when I'm at work. I work from the dining table. In the evening I like to watch a serie or movie.For listing to music #1 is possible since I turn the Era 300 towards the dining table while working and turn it back towards the couch in the evening. However, I don't think the sound in the room really sounds full and that music from position #2 sounds better.But does the Era 300 still provide sufficient surround support from position 2? Does it matter that the distance of the Era in the top corner is a lot shorter to the sofa then the other Era 300 when I place it at postion #2?The distance between #2 and the sofa is about 4 meters / 13 ftI am curious about your advice.Thanks!

I have my dad’s old records and record player, I would like to get a nice speaker to enjoy all of this vintage gear, however, I don’t have any speakers to play it on. I currently have an Arc and it would be nice to add a Five or some Eras for surround sound movie listening in addition to record listening. My question is if the line-in to the Sonos speakers digitizes the input or if it will remain analog as long as it’s not streamed to the Arc and surrounding speakers?

I have a housefull of Sonos products and even more Amazon Echo products, including an Echo Flex, the speakerless Echo device that one can use to hook up to anything with an RCA or mini plug input.I want to plug it into my S2 amp which is connected to passive speakers so that I can have the convenience of saying “Alexa play music everywhere” or “Alexa play music on Sonos amp”.I’ve got the Flex plugged in and added to the ‘everywhere’ group in Alexa and have set the S2 amp to Line in but get no music through my Sonos S2 connected speakers.  It plays everywhere else in the house through all of the Echo devices, so I need some help here.  Thought I’d come here first before I engaged Sonos tech support.

Just bought a new Sonos beam gen 2 today, my first soundbar. Unfortunately Trying to connect via WiFi on the dreaded Vodafone router has been a pain as I've discovered others with the same problem.Would connecting via ethernet cable solve my problems?I have no intention of adding more speakers etc, the beam will be enough for me.  

I recently ordered several pieces of Sonos equipment including 2 black ERA 100 speakers. I received 1 black speaker and 1 white speaker. When I contacted Sonos Customer Service to package up the white speaker, drive it to a UPS center and ship it back to Sonos. After they receive it, they will send me the correct colored speaker. Really???? First of all I don’t live anywhere near a UPS return center and second…..why am I being inconvenienced by their mistake. Can someone please help me with this issue?? Moderator edit: removed agent’s full name

I have an Eero network and existing Sonos system that has worked beautifully. I purchased new Era 100’s and tried to connect them as I’ve done in the past. Everything goes smoothly until I have to select my network and enter the password. Sonos is detecting my network name properly but adds a bunch of letters slashes and numbers after it and won’t allow me to connect stating my wifi password is incorrect. My existing Sonos products are connected to the correct wifi. Help!
