If I stereo pair sonos one gen2 with sonos one sl, can you use the voice assistant, since the gen2 includes the microphone?

Yes and the One (gen2) can be the left, or right, speaker in the stereo pair - simply add your chosen voice assistant to it via the Sonos App ‘Settings/Services & Voice"
