Greetings.I posted a similar question a few months back, regarding only my Sonos ROAM. None of the sensible advice has solved my problem. I sort of abandoned my quest to make the Roam work, but recently I received my Sonos BEAM from the States, and am running into the same issue: neither my Beam nor my Roam can be located by my Sonos app (S2). -I tried the factory reset on both-I tried resetting the app-both devices are powered on-my home WiFI is not configured in any particular way (that I know of): no login page, etc…-according to what I could learn online, I should not need to revert to the S1 app (even though my Beam is Gen 1)One odd thing I noticed in the app: a few key functions are greyed out. Pic below/attached.I also recently received an Echo Dot, which I was able to connect to my home WIFI with no problem. Any thoughts on this would be most helpful.  

 I am getting an error message "Cannot connect to Amazon Music". I have deleted and re-installed Amazon Musica number of times and I can reach Amazon Music through an iPad device. I can access Youtube Music. Any thoughts?

I have 2 era 300 speakers and have just bought a project T1 turntable.  To integrate the turntable I can see that you connect it one of the speakers.  Will the music automatically come out if both speakers when I play an album ?  Thanks 

I have been getting strung along by Sonos for weeks now. I keep getting told The labels have been resent. That the issue has been escalated. That the labels will be sent soon. ECT. I even offered to ship it to them myself to only provide me the address that it needs to be shipped to. I can't even get them to provide that. I read that this is not an uncommon issue and I am curious as to why Sonos lies to all of its customers who have an issue. If somebody's figured out a solution to this please let me know. 

I have a long ranch house, with my router near one end. I want to optimize my recently purchased BOOST. Locating at home’s mid-length will likely solve spotty disconnects to paired Play:1 units.Can I simply buy/use a quality 25 ft. long ethernet cable extend to better locate the BOOST ? Or are there Limit complications of Cable or WI-FI distance between the BOOST and main router ? Thanks.

I have a new system with Beam (2nd gen) and 2 ERA 100 as surrounds. The first day of use they sounded great - then the back speakers started pulsing (wuh wuh wuh wuh). I’ve taken them back to factory reset, turned microphones off, reset WiFi connection - no change. completely unusable. Any ideas?

Just got a new Beam gen2 to connect to my Sony X90J tv. Plugged into the TV I have a cable box, a Nintendo switch, and another gaming console. The Beam is plugged into the earc hdmi port.  No matter whether I am using any of the above devices or a streaming service like Netflix the sound does come out of the beam.  The problem is I cannot get the remote to control the volume on the beam. I’ve tried setup through the sonos app and the tv and it just won’t work. It tells me to turn cec on on the tv but the Bravia Sync is already on.  Any help would be appreciated!

I am looking to purchase a Sonos move 2 whilst in USA will it work in the UK as the power rating is different 110V/240V.I am assuming the base has a transformer in it but apart from the plug difference will it case any issues?

I’m close to just binning my Sonos speakers. What is going on at this company, that everything has become so terrible?So recently all my music services became inaccessible on the app, except Bandcamp and Soundcloud. Apple Music, Amazon music, Sirius XM, Pandora, would all fail to load. This has been going on for a while, and reauthorizing did nothing. So I decided to reset my speaker, uninstall and reinstall the app, and try start over. Except after entering my email in the app, I get ‘Something went wrong. Make sure your mobile device is connected to the internet and try again’. It is connected to the internet (and I tried from both ipad and iphone). So now my speaker is just a useless block. Some years back I used to eulogize Sonos and Synology as the two companies that make tech that made my life both better and simpler; Sonos has really fallen from grace since then.

Hi everyone, So I have a soundbar with Sub and surrounds in my living room and multiple different Sonos speakers of different generations throughout the rest of my house.  For some reason the living room audio cuts in and out randomly when I’m trying to play music throughout the whole home (it never does it when I’m watching TV and it’s just in the living room).  I have a mesh NetGear router and 2 extenders and the whole house is wired with cat6.  Recently, I tried to change  the configuration of my Living Room by connecting via ethernet but when I then tried to connect the other speakers throughout the house the Sonos app gave me an error, saying It wasn’t possible because of the extenders, which is odd as it’s all one and the same network if you know what I mean. Any thoughts on how to fix this ? guy

Sorry - I see similar queries have been raised before, but I haven’t found a solution among the replies yet.I have the up-to-date Sonos controller on my iPhone 11 which is now running iOS 17.2.1. I have 2 pairs of Sonos One speakers and a single one. They’re of various ages, including a couple of brand new ones.Until quite recently I was happily streaming music from my Apple Music to my Sonos speakers via Airplay as well as from BBC Sounds, but a few days ago I received the message that Airplay was unable to connect to my Sonos speakers. This remains the case and applies to all of the Sonos speakers, but to nothing else (I can stream to our Sony TV for example). But it applies only to my iPhone - my iPad and iMac have no problems connecting to and streaming to the Sonos system.So I wonder what happened in the iPhone/Sonos environment? Is there a solution from the Sonos side?I’m reluctant to ask Apple about it - when a recent MacOS update rendered my HP printer useless their response wa

I am trying to configure my room with a Sonos Arc, Gen 3 sub, and 4 era speakers as surrounds. I can’t get the 3rd and 4th eras to hook as surrounds in the room. Any suggestions?

Choice of surround speakers. Which work best with the arc and sub. I want to set up a home theater system.

One side of my surround pair of Sonos One SL lost connection. Tries to repair it without avail. Have since tried the following -1) hard reset the sonos one sl - the white lights continue to blink. I'm confident that the hard reset was done correctly as I have done it before for my sub and the other pair of Sonos one SL withiut any issue.2) Tried wiring the problematic One SL to my router. The white light continues to blink. Tried the hard reset method with the ethernet cables plugged in to but to no avail.May I know if my Sonos 1 SL is faulty?Have only bought it for slightly less than 3 years.Thanks for the advice in advance. 

I have recently purchased a Sonos Move 2 with the Sonos Line-IN adapter SD-01 to play music from my ipod. I have also set up my Move 2 according to the following Sonos resource page at https://support.sonos.com/en-au/article/play-line-in-on-your-move-2 (and)https://support.sonos.com/en-au/article/adjust-line-in-settings.Problem I'm having is that my move 2 does not automatically play from line-in (Ipod) every time I power up from scratch. I found that I have to disconnect the USB-C adapter and re-connect it before it would play from the ipod. This is a major inconvenience and is a major flaw in the design of the unit. Have I configured my Move 2 incorrectly? I have also tried 2 different audio cable with no success.

Hi Folks, I recently upgraded my WiFi to fibre broadband and since then I cannot connect to my Sonos 1.This is via my smart phone. I've followed the steps via the app to update my WiFi details but when it gets to the enter the WiFi code it says there is a problem and its not recognising the password. Can anyone kindly suggest a fix to this issue ? Kind Regards Neil

When playing a song or playlist on Spotify (listening on headphones) I am unable to transfer to Sonos. Devices not visible on Airplay option. if I use Sonos app, it will not continue playing current item. appreciate any help or suggestions I also use Alexa on my Sonos One

I have the gen 1 connect linked to an amplifier with non sonos speakers. (Using S1 app)i would like to add a record player to the setup (vinyl player-connect-amp) is this feasible? what do i need?can I connect them to my other sonos products that are from gen 1?   thanks in advance!  

I want to buy a Sonos Arc for my TV and a sub (maybe rear speakers, undecided) to create a home theater situation… also want to put a record player in the same room, would like to share that sub with it somehow and play through Sonos speakers in stereo. Originally I was thinking about getting 2 Fives to hook to the record player (in stereo) but if i link to the arc system to use the sub I’m afraid there might be issues like delay? Furthermore, I would like to install Fives in my garage and be able to play music from either the turn table or TV setup through them. How do I go about all this?

I have a Sonos USB-C adapter for line in audio sources but when I plug it in only the “Line-In (L)” component connects. The “Line-In (R)” component never does. This happens after trying a number of different RCA leads with a number of different sources.The audio still comes through both speakers but presumably in monaural and the right speaker constantly drops out.I’ve tried rebooting the system, rebooting the app etc.Is my Sonos USB-C line adapter faulty? Is it something to do with the app?EDIT: So 1) I figured out that the “Line-In (L)/(R)” indicator probably refers to which speaker the adapter is physically plugged into, not whether the speakers are “virtually” connected to the Line input or not. 2) The issue seems to be with the Stereo pair not communicating properly, or an issue with the router causing dropouts and then the Right speaker to stop outputting sound altogether, not with the adapter. Probably best to totally reset the speakers when they start doing that...

I have recently purchased a Sonos beam gen 2. Sound quality great but the sound frequently just drops out and I have to turn everything off to get it working again. Any ideas?

Heya! So I like the idea with a soundbar that is NOT a bluetooth-device. I’m looking for a sound-device that works like my Chromecast-device = everyone in my network should be able to quickly and easy cast whatever they want to the device. Is this how Sonos One works?I understand you need the app for the first setup, but when the device is connected to my network I guess the Sonos One will pop-up to anyone in my network as a Speaker? Is this how Sonos Work? Thank you!

I have some very nice “traditional” loudspeakers that I don’t want to let go of at this point along with a matching subwoofer. (TV, 4KDVD, Satellite, Receiver, LR + Sub) These are being powered  by a Denon receiver. Owing to roof pitches, stringing conventional speaker cable would be a real bugger for ceiling mount surrounds and I’m wondering if there’s some way to cast a Bluetooth signal from the Denon to some Sonos rear surrounds without stringing the speaker cables (read cutting sheet-rock to do it). Is there some means of putting a Bluetooth converter at the AV Processor that can be used with Sonos speakers for rear surrounds. I’m concerned about “timing” issues... Of course as soon as my Vandersteen’s blow up, we’ll be 100% in the Sonos camp (as we are at our place in Montana!) ;-)
