I recently added an Era 100 and an Era 300 to my system. It seems every day I need to reset them in order to see them on the app again. I have a port and 2 beams with no problems. Everything is on the 2.5GHz band other than the Era 300. It’s is on the 5G. Could this be a problem?

Hi. I’m getting random beep (similar to the beep when using Alexa) on both my systems from some time now. I can’t precise exactly when it started.It happens every couple of hours. Doesn’t matter if the Sonos is in use or not. And it happens both to my Beam and my Arc. I’ve submitted a diagnostic from my system: 1884089486

Is it possible to connect a Media Streamer such as an Eversolo DMP A-6 or A-8 to the Sonos Amp through the HDMI IN to play the music over the connected speakers on the AMP?

Hi Sonos, Could you please fix issue with volume control on Groups please? Now what I am referring to is that when I have Group created for living room with Arc + Sub Gen 3 and 2 Era 300 and two Ones when I control the volume via remote control the volume goes up only for the Arc+Sub and Era 300 the other speakers which are added in the group as well does not move volume as they should the same way as the first group. Now when I increase the volume via remote controller on TV this will break the whole setup completely and I need to go to my phone to increase the volume via phone for the other group which is the two Ones. Can you please fix this via update please that we can use only the TV remote control for the whole group when TV is playing?? Thank you. 

Hello, recently I have ran into some connectivity issues with my system. After some trouble shooting I decided to go for a full reinstall, but after factory resetting everything I was unable to reinstall everything. I have an Ikea symfonisk lamp and bookshelf (both 1st gen) and use iOS on all devices. During the setup I get redirected to the iOS accessory setup screen to setup the speaker but when I try to connect to the network I get “an unexpected error”. I have reset near every other program (wifi, app, etc) and it keeps giving the same error. I have also tried setting up the speakers on my mobile hotspot but still gives the same error…Does anyone know what else I can try to install my speakers to the system?

I have a Terramaster DAS, not a NAS, with 4x2TB drives attached to my MacBook Air. I have formatted one drive as MacOS extended and loaded my music library on to it. I have opened that drive to full disk access on the MacBook and installed the path to the drive library in the Sonos app. However when I try and play music from that external drive the Sonos app just states “No selections are available”. What else do I need to do as I don't want the library actually on my MacBook ? All the necessary share permissions are sorted as far as I can see as everything else works except Sonos. Any help gratefully received as it's driving me crazy.

My volume limit is at 70%. When I use the slider to take it back up to 100% it immediately goes back to 70%.App (ios) and speakers are up to date. 

app partially working. Detects speaker but no options to play music or change settings. Tried deleting and reloading app, no luck. I aso restarted Internet modem and router. This is what I see in the app. 

Hello Everybody,Im new to the Community But  I’ve been using Sonos for a long time now.I have a Sound Bar, Subwoofer, 2 Sonos Play 1, I am using Sonos S2 app to listen to my Music.I recently bought a Sonos Connect to hookup to my Receiver and it requires s1 Software to hookup to all my Home Speakers. I tried pushing the Play/Speaker and Volume + so the s1 can find the unit. The app said I have to use S2 App. S2 cannot fine the Sonos Connect.  Is there anything I’m doing wrong here in my Setup?I appreciate all your input--Thank You in advance.Rod  

I’m planning to get a sound system for my 65” Samsung S90C TV. Torn between an AVR setup with Elac DBR62, Denon X2800H, P10-150-GEM Subwoofer from BK Electronics, and a Sonos Beam 2/Sub mini/Era 100s set.  My room is cubic 2.5x2.5m and 9 feet high. I did some research and found that the Denon X2800H has an integrated room correction feature so it can still sound good in my room. I listen mostly to DJ Sets on YouTube and EDM, Psytrance, Techno, so bass is important to me (without compromising on clarity). I’d also be using the speakers with my phone and TV. Can’t have rears due to the layout of my room. If I went with Sonos, I’d like to use the beam 2 and sub mini for movies, and era 100s with sub mini for music. Is there an easy way to switch between the two?I’d like some help deciding between the two sound systems. I’m also not an audiophile, but looking for the sound system that would deliver the best experience for the music I listen to.Thanks for reading.

HiI have a system that has Arc, sub and era 300 as surrounds 4 sonos 5’s a roam a playbar and a Boost the system uses sonosnet apart from the roam.Now my old Play 1’s were in a cupboard not been used and I have just built an outside cabin that I want to put them in and now for some reason they are connecting to WIFi and not sonosnet. I have factory reset them and they still will not use sonos net like the rest of my speakers. My wifi is not the best thats why I use sonos net

I have decided to connect a CD player to one of my connect:amp devices.  Are there any suggestions about what to buy or specific things to watch out for when purchasing and connecting a CD player?  Thanks

Dear Sonos,I am bitterly disappointed that you've taken away my ability to play music stored on my phone directly to my Sonos Play 1 and  Sonos SL One wireless speakers. The only reason I bought Sonos wireless speakers over any other speaker was to have that ability and now it’s no more. Sonos has decided to put relationships with 3rd party streaming apps like Spotify and Apple Music over an individuals’ ability to play music stored on their phone. I don’t want a streaming music subscription., I don’t want any 3rd party apps. I just want to stream my music which I’ve stored on my phone for decades. Besides, the music I love does not exist on these 3rd party streaming apps. There is no reason why Sonos cannot accommodate both preferences - play music stored on one’s phone and the streaming brigade. These two things are not mutually exclusive. Why sacrifice one for the other. I have decided thar I will return all my Sonos speakers for a refund, including the Play 1 speaker I bought in 20

On google branded and other google speakers, there is a volume control for googles response, separate from the volume of the device. Is that possible with Sonos 1, or is it just controlled by overall volume?

I am running Sonos on 2 separate systems S1 and S2 . I have loaded Pocketcasts on both systems. Pocketcast plays podcasts to all rooms on S2 but not on S1; I get the message “Connection to Pocket casts was lost” to all S1 room destinations..I have been in contact with Technical support, who gave up.I have tried re-booting Router, removesdocket casts app and re-installing, re-authorizing Pocket casts on Sonos, to no avail. Any suggestions? (I am not a detail technical person!!)

Hi.A few week back I bought 2 new Play fives, since 1 of my old 1st gen Play5 is quite dead.In that room I had yet another 1st gen Play5 and a Sub.Before I received my new Play fives I moved the still working 1st gen Play5 to another room where I have another 1st gen Play5.After some hustle I managed to pair them as stero.1 day later my 2 new Play fives arrived, started to install them, I didn´t realize they are not compatible with S1.OK, so I slit my Sonos into 2 systems, 1 S1 and 1 S2, so far so good, got all my S2 updated and installed, all worked fine.But when later starting my S1 app to play in the room where I have 2 1st gen Play5´s, I got “Use the Sonos S2 app”My old Play5s just disapered.I spent several hours trying to get my old Play5s to work again, I managed 1, the one connected to ethernet, not the other one, could not be found.I talked to support, they told me I had to enable IGNP snooping and multicast, so I did, on 2.4G network.Airtime fairness was always disabled.Dont k

do in ceiling / architectural speakers connect to the amp via wi-fi or they need to be hardwired? 

I bought the Sonos Arc and Sub from Costco yesterday.Everything works fine except the AirPlay. My network equipment is Unifi UDM pro + AP. I tried both wired and wireless (2.4G), restarting both the iPhone and Sonos Arc a few times, and tried iPad. iPhone with iOS 16, iPhone with iOS 17 and MacBook. None of them works. I don't have Apple TV to test AirPlay 2, but I can AirPlay from my phone to my MacBook. Whenever I tried to AirPlay to the Sonos, I immediately got the "unable to connect family room" error. How can I fix it? Thanks in advance!

When I go on the Sonos app and hit browse, I’m only offered TuneIn and Line-In.  No Spotify, no My Sonos showing.  If I go to search I only show Stations and Podcasts&Shows, no artists, songs, albums or playlists.  Appreciate any thoughts you may have

Does ROAM work with 1st generation Sonos speakers?

Curious if the users or veterans of the forum have run into this issue, heard of it at all or have any suggestions to offer. This has been an ongoing issue for 8+ months. System has been deployed for about 5 years.   I will explain as it occurred today as I’m not sure any of the steps play a role.  I was listening to Pandora, paused playback to step away which I did for 10-15 minutes. Upon return I continued playback and the song I was listening to continued until the end. The next song plays for about 5 seconds then stops then restarts from the beginning and plays for another five seconds then the track is skipped.  This is a relatively minor issue but when a track your looking forward to gets skipped its annoying, I guess you could say today I wasnt having it and thought I should seek additional information.This is not a case of songs playing halfway or three quarters as I dont experience this issue and have zero other issues with sonos, overall I consider my system setup very stable

Hi everybody,I’m actually testing a Sonos Five speaker with my Wi-Fi company infrastructure (Cisco).Our SSID is configured with a static WPA3 psk key and it seems that this kind of encryption is not accepted during the pairing of the speaker between the Phone (Sonos app) and the speaker.The phone is unable to connect the speaker (the devices are on the same WLAN).If I change the security to WPA2 it works correctly.I’ve got also a Sonos One speaker that works perfectly with the same WLAN using WPA3.Do you have any issues with Sonos Five and WPA3? Thanks

Cannot select Deezer, only these two

It's written already several times: please remove Sonos Radio from the search results. I'm not interested in Sonos Radio at all. And so do many other community members. This intrusive behaviour from Sonos is simply annoying and devalues the otherwise good products pointlessly.

So I've been facing this problem for a while and it's super annoying at this moment, always that I go from one app to another, let's say from Youtube to Disney+ in the Apple TV, the sound on the tv goes from 50 to 0 and some seconds later from 0 to 50 again but the Beam stops reproducing sound, like if it was muted.And then I have to restart the Apple TV to start listening any sound again, this happens always that I go from one app to another so it's not related to the apps. Sometimes going back to the Apple TV Home restores the sound but sometimes doesn't.I'm using a Ugreen HDMI 2.1 8k cable on the eArc spot of my TV.
