HiI currently own and use a Sonos Ray soundbar with my Playstation 5. My Playstation 5 is connected with HDMI to my tv and the Sonos Ray is connected with an optical audio cable to my tv. I’m planning on using a surround setup and add two Sonos One SL’s to the Ray. Will my PS5 output surround sound? Will my TV output surround sound? If I listen to music, will it put out stereo sound? Any issues with a setup like this? Thanks!

I have an Era 100 sonos speaker and I am trying to connect it to an Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT turntable. I am having some trouble because I want to connect it with the line-in instead of Bluetooth because I want to connect it to more speakers. I bought an apple 3.5MM audio to USB-C adaptor and just plugged it into the turntable line out section with a standard 3.5MM aux cable. The sonos speaker isnt picking it up. Has anybody had this issue or know how I can get this speaker connected with a line-in connection instead of a bluetooth connection?

I am having trouble connecting a new SL One to my existing system -(a beam and two other SL ones)when I turn it on the app finds the new product and then emits the chime that tells me temporarily connected ti phone. However when the ‘connecting to your Sonos SL’ screen starts it just sits there with four dots flashing for about 15 mins. Eventually the LED light on speaker goes red but no error message appears on app. I was in contact with chat support yesterday but no solution found. Tried rebooting router etc. Anyone had  similar problems? My existing system working fine 

i have a room that is 30’ by 15’ with a TV at one end, playbar mounted directly under.I then have 4 Sonos 1’s  - Two at the far (opposite) end and two mid way on either wall. How do i setup the rooms, surrounds etc to get the best sound?Currently i get a lot of latency and echo.

So I listen to some podcasts on Sonos - however, recently it starts playing my chosen podcast and then after a few seconds skips to another podcast and plays that one instead...why oh why?

I want to install 2 speakers in one room and make them play in stereo.  This is for playing music only. Will 2 Era 100 play well in stereo?

Hi. I can't get any TV-sound from my playbar. It is connected to digital out on my Philips 55oled855/12, but it is not working. Tv remote works on playbar, but no sound.It worked fine on my old Samsung TV but not on my new Philips. Any good ideas?

I just updated my system to S2 v15.1 and my Gen2 subwoofer failed (my Sonos1, Playbar, Amp2 all updated fine).  I tried resetting, reconnecting, rebootng and nothing worked.  I called tech support and they went thru the same steps, said it was likely a fault.  They cannot “see” the sub on their end and offered an RMA #.  Now I have to buy a new subwoofer “at a discount”, which will still cost me more than $600.    Is there anything beside 1) restarting the sub (white flashing light doesn’t go green), resetting to factory default (orange/white flashing light doesn’t go green), rebooting by Boost, rebooting my router, that I can do on my end?

i have an issue with some commands google assistant used on a sonos one, the problem started a one of weeks ago, I cannot anymore use simple commands as “stop playing, turn up the volume etc. Other commands like to start playing works fine, also shift to the next track and more. When I try to use some of the not working commands google responds following, “unable to precess commands for code” Please advice,  ThanksC

My Sonos Five alarm no longer sounds in my bedroom, though it will play in another room on Sonos Arc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello guys, I am new to the Sonos systemIf I use the Spotify App (On Desktop), will it recognize the Speaker group I set up from Sonos and play music to that group?At my work site, they want to have a main operator and a backup person (so that when the main operator is busy, this person can play music instead). Can I use one Spotify account to sign in on both Desktops? 

I’m currently having terrible trouble playing music stored on my NAS drive through my Sonos system. If I  go through the ‘Music Library’ via the app I get the screen no selections are available (see screen shot). However if I go through the NAS option on the Browse menu it lets me go right through to the songs on the albums that are stored on the NAS drive but then won’t allow me to play the song, I get the ‘An error occurred while adding tracks to the Queue (701)’ issue. What then makes it even stranger is that if I find that track in my Apple Music Library that is looking at the same NAS drive then it plays the track without an issue and allow me to airplay the track to my system without any problems i.e. skipping, jumping, missing tracks.I think I’ve tried all the resolutions posted on various posts on this site but still no joy so if anyone has any bright ideas I’d really appreciate it.

I have the items detailed in the title and while it works great with all my Sonos products, the Ikea app does not see my Era 100's. My Sonos app has no trouble with them. Is this a known issue? I've tried reinstalling the Ikea App and joining it to the hardware but it always fails to see the Era's only.

I currently have a whole house audio system with 6 Sonos Amps.  In two of those rooms, I have a separate TV/Audio/Speaker setup with their own speakers tied to Sony STRAZ1000ES receivers.  All the Sonos amp as well as the STRAZ1000ES receivers are all nicely stacked in one location.  I know the STRAZ1000ES has the “Works with Sonos” feature but for the life of me I do not understand it.  Can someone provide direction and/or feasibility to do two things that I would love to accomplish with these lovely items. I would love to watch the TV and have the audio play through the whole house audio (Sonos Amps).  I see the TV Line in option on the Sonos app but from what I understand it is only available if I’m using a sound bar option? Is there a way to play the audio that is playing through the whole house audio through the STRAZ1000ES at the same time?  I assume this is what the “Works with Sonos” is all about but cannot figure it out.  Plus, since the receiver acts as my main audio player f

So just got my arc setup. Love it. However, the mic will turn off after being turned on for some period of time (haven’t timed it but no more than 30ish minutes).I have Alexa enabled as a voice assistant as well as Sonos voice assistant. I turn the mic on and it works fine, but then after some time of listening to music or playing TV audio the mic turns itself off. I have to physically turn the mic back on and it will do it all over again.Any ideas before I call support?

Recently purchased Amp to replace old stereo receiver and add floor speakers into the Sonos system. Used the ethernet hookup that had connected to receiver. No other Sonos products are connected via ethernet. Also have Home theatre with Arc, 2-Ones, 2-Sub gen3, a dining room with Ones in stereo connection, and Master bedroom with Fives in stereo connection, and Move in kitchen. In connecting the Amp to ethernet am I in effect removing entire Sonos system from wifi and creating a separate Sonos net network? We have excellent wifi coverage. Is it best to remove Amp from the ethernet connection. This statement in Sonos support seems to suggest I am bypassing my home wifi network:“Hardwiring any Sonos product with a built-in Ethernet port will switch the entire Sonos system into a wired setup, in which Sonos creates a dedicated wireless network separate from your home WiFi. In a wired setup, Sonos products without a built-in Ethernet port will continue using home WiFi.”

I was unable to find any mention of this in the forums, but my latest Sonos Mac controller (15.10) always shows ‘The queue is empty’ when playing music from my Music Library. The version on my iPad correctly lists all of the song titles in the queue. Not a major deal (I guess), but it prevents me from being able to clear the actual queue from the Mac controller. Is anybody else having this problem?

My Sonos Roam is making a quiet clicking sound shortly after any media stops playing. This started after it went into sleep mode last night while I was out. I came home & plugged it in, only to hear somewhat faint popping sounds from the drivers about 3 seconds after any sound is played, even the sounds from using the physical buttons. I restarted the speaker & the problem persists. I had plugged in the speaker at some point and as I was plugging it in, the drivers made the same quiet popping sounds for a few seconds. After powering it off the speaker for the night, I am certain I kept hearing slight pops from the speaker even though it was off (whenever I put it near my ear). I'm sort of scared to power it on, as I don't want to damage the speaker or let it bug out and play loud harsh noise as some people say it's done. My unti is a replacement unit from circa February 2022 when my original speaker made rattling noises. I was planning on buying a Sonos Era 100 but with problem

Cannot create a surround system with the Beam 2, Era 100 & Move. When I'm trying to setup surrounds , sonos can't see the other speakers, also I can't setup a stereo pair with Era and Move.

Can I connect my Arc to the TV and also to my pair of Era 100s. 

Hi - I’m currently renovating and am looking to setup a HT with the following config:Inputs: Cable box, Xbox, FireTV stick. Maybe a AppleTV4K.Video Outputs: Optoma projector (no eARC, inky HDMI), Sony TV (with eARC).Audio: Sonos Arc, gen3 sub and 2 era 300 acting as surrounds.  Have gone through a few posts and most seem to recommend HDFury Arcana to split out the eARC. Had a few questions/clarifications I’m hoping someone could clarify: I assume I’ll need a 4:1 (4 input, 1 output) hdmi splitter to handle the various inputs and output of this switch feeds into Arcana.  Arcana eARC connects to Sonos Arc.  Arcana only has 1 HDMI out. Will I need a  1:2 (1 input, 2 output) hdmi switch and connect the HDMI out from Arcana to the input on this switch and then connect the output to the TV and projector? Sonos is a bit finicky with networking etc. and there are multiple hops here (hdmi switch for input, Arcana, hdmi switch at output etc). Does it handle all this cleanly without lags etc?If an

I have a perfectly functioning Playbar that still sounds beautiful. When I bought it about 10 years ago, it was a requirement as a hub to the entire Sonos system, though I get the impression that the S2 software upgrade got rid of that requirement. Anyway, I’m interested in upgrading my system to get the best out of ATMOS. Can I use my beloved Playbar, or must I upgrade it to Arc? I’ve got 2 Play:5 as the back speakers but I feel that they take over the whole listening experience, ie they dominate the sound. Should I replace them with Era 100 or Era 300?The long and the sort of it: what should I buy/upgrade to get a great ATMOS experience with my existing Sonos system?  

Dear Sir/MdmI submitted a diagnostic number 625676669I bought a new Sonos Beam and Sub Mini last week.   Coupled with two Sonos Ones, I formed them up as surround speakers. When I watch movies, there are a few milliseconds of cut off sound.  This is especially obvious when watching ATMOS sound movies.   This happens low and high volume.    Meanwhile, for Dolby Digital plus and Dolby Digital, the problem seldom occurs.      My TV is Samsung UA58R7100KXXS smart TV.   I used Sonos supplied HDMI cables.  I   Please help to investigate and diagnose the problem.    Shall I return the set as malfunction?Best RegardsRyan Lee

I searched this but all topics are years old and closed.  My system is S1 with a mix of components.  Frequently (usually!) when I open the S1 app on my phone, it comes up with Wifi isn’t connected, and sho’nuff the wifi icon is off.  If I go to settings, it hasn’t turned wifi off, just disconected from the network.  Usually giving it 30 seconds and the phone reconnects, and maybe things are fine.  This only happens with the Sonos app, not email, firefox or other network-using apps.  Why and what’s the solution?TIADon     Central VA
