connecting the sound from my Epson EH TW650 to my sonos Ray please?

I need to connect my Sonos Ray to my Epson EH TW650 projector, any simple advice really appreciated please

That projector only has analog (RCA) audio output.  You would need an RCA analog to optical converter.  RCA from the projector to the RCA on the converter, then optical to the Ray.  Note, you will only get stereo from this setup.  If you are looking for surround sound, you would need a projector which support Dolby Digital 5.1 (at least).

No, those are digital to analog, you need an analog to digital converter.  Like this:
