Sonos Play:1 poor wifi

Hi,

I have a few Sonos devices in the house. Most work fine, but two Play:1 speakers upstairs have poor wifi.

What are my options to improve it? Can I wire them into the network? Or will that cause issues for the rest of my Sonos setup?

You could try running in SonosNet mode, depending on your setup. It creates a mesh network using other speakers to create the mesh. Not much help though if you don’t have any speakers closer than your router. Or, can you run an Ethernet cable to their location?

I’ve just plugged ethernet into both and - *touch wood* - it seems to have worked! The rest of the Sonos network seems to still work as well.
