I use two Fives as a stero pair for music. Right between those is an Arc connected to my tv screen. I find the Arc sounds rather thin, so I would like to use the Fives to work in tandem with the Arc when watching tv. I know this can be done if you add the Fives to the same zone, but that would make the Arc play music as well which sounds terrible. My question is: can you use the Fives in two different zones?

Can the Sonos ARC support Lossless Dolby Atmos with Amazon Firestick 4K Max plugged direct into the eArc port of the Sonos Arc? To stream Amazon Unlimited Dolby Atmos content I will us an Android Client using Amazon Unlimited Music or DTS Playfi.  As of this time my only Sonos product is a pair of Play1 speakers. I would use these as rear speakers paired with the Sonus Arc, only using this for listening to Amazon Unlimited Dolby Atmos catalog. For the rest of my Hi-Fi and Home Theater environment I would keep an exiting hi end HiFi configuration that supports large room speakers for 2 channel and 7.1 non Dolby Atmos, I have   physical HD and streaming audio content that I want to keep separate from the Sonos Arc Dolby Atmos Audio streaming plan Id rather not replace my  TV,  AVR or any of the components for my DVD-A, SACD, BlueRay, DVD, CD, DAC or 2 channel streaming  configuration. It's all in the same room with Wifi Router with GB bandwidth but Is rather not disturb the apple cart ju

If I am watching something on Apple TV through Beam in my living room I can group the IKEA symfonisk in my bedroom and it works great. But if I try to group the Five in my office or Roam SL anywhere it sounds like it’s skipping or something. Hard to explain but definitely not listenable. Any ideas?

I’ve had Sonos for many years. Generation 1. I use Sonos controller 1 on laptop and phone. the music library is held on a Diskstation NAS drive (Z drive). All has worked fine through a previous laptop and windows upgrade to 10.When I got the new laptop the Sonos was working and finding music on the NAS drive. I couldn’t however manipulate files and folders on the Z drive from file explorer. After a few days I fixed this (it was technical and I cannot remember how). But this fix coincided with the present problem that Sonos cannot now access my music from either the desktop app or the phone app S1 controller. I can see the music library. Searches work and I then queue up the music (it goes in to the queue for the selected room). But on hitting play a message pops up saying it can’t find the file.The sonos speakers themselves are working if for example I play radio or connect spotify.I did momentarily get the access back. The Windows app has a massive bug adding songs to playlists from a local library.  I have five Sonos playlists (not Spotify playlists). I store my music on the same Windows PC where I run the Sonos windows app.  Here is how you can reproduce the bug:In the Windows app, play a song from my local library. Then click the “i” and then “Add song to Sonos playlist”.  The next screen should show the list of playlists, but most times the app does not show the list of playlists and instead shows a message “No playlists have been added to your Sonos Playlists yet”.  But I have 5 playlists, so it is wrong.  If I click “i” and then “Add song to Sonos playlist” again it will usually show the same wrong message.  One time in 10 it works, and shows my playlists.  So basically it is unusable to create a playlist in the windows app.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I have searched in the community and did not find others with this problem (though frankly I find the search algorithm in the community

I purchased a T1 Phono SB turntable from Sonos and am trying to connect it to my system to play vinyls.My current setup has two roomsMedia Room (Room 1), is setup with an Arc, Amp, Sub and rear ceiling speakers; The speakers are connected tot he Amp. Patio (Room 2), is setup with a Move that I can “move” around the house.I connected the turntable to the Amp and tried to look endlessly for this “Line In” to show up, but have not had any luck. I’ve tried both on an Android and iOS.Need help, before I return the Turntable back to Sonos.

Hi I’ve several Sonos amps plus in-ceiling speakers. None of these speakers are voice enabled. Can I use an Amazon device such as a “Dot” or “Echo” to control the music?if this is possible what is the best device ? thanks. 

Hi, I have recently added a Roam to my Roam SL. Tried every way to stereo pair them but the app will just not recognise them as a pair. If I try Airplay from my iPhone I can get one or the other to work but not both at the same time.The Sonos website suggests to name them name them in different rooms. I can name the Roam but not the Roam SL.Am used to Apple products that just work. Can anyone help?

 okay, after years of having Sonos work okay it is now playing up, a lot. Dropping out, iOS and Mac controller not connecting, Spotify unable to add tracks, unable to update Sonos on Mac without reinstalling every time. This is getting annoying and would like it sorted, and before you ask yes I have turned it all off and on again on multiple occasions and reinstalled it and yadayadayada. Make it work, it used to and now doesn't and I have not changed anything. I don't know if there is now an issue between Spotify and Sonos but it wont play any my playlists through the Sonos app but will through the Spotify app but that is only a half-fix. 

Is it worthwhile or possible to connect a legacy Sonos system to a new ARC system?

My Beam Gen 1 worked fine connected to an old Sony TV through the Sonos optical HDMI adapter, but was recently moved to a new Samsung QN55QN90BAF TV with eARC. I removed the optical adapter and plugged the Beam into the eARC port, but my TV doesn’t appear to recognize the connection.  Am I doing something wrong or is the Beam Gen 1 just not compatible with eARC?.

I have an old goodmans turntable and I am trying to connect it to my play 5.The turntable has this connectionAnd I have thisBut I'm not sure if this the right connector any help would be appreciated

Upon initiating a session on Spotify, (or any service) the music promptly plays across all speakers. However, when skipping to the next track, there's an aggravating delay of 5 to 30 seconds before most speakers start playing the music.  I recall reading a comment suggesting that assigning a static IP address to the system might be beneficial.  I cannot find any real information about this type of set up.  Is it true?  Is there something else I can do or is this a normal occurrence for a Sonos system?

I’m trying to automate Spotify playing music on my Sonos speakers when I scan a NFC tag.I thought I could use Tasker to automate the necessary API calls...However, Sonos only supports the OAuth flow “Authorization code”, which makes it impossible to automate the task, since I have to show a webpage to the user for that to work.Is it possible to authenticate in any non-interactive way (Client credentials) or can I automate the Sonos app somehow? (e.g. Android intent?)

Hello I would like to know if the Sonos can connect to each other if they do not have the same connection mode, one part in HDMI ARC and the other in Optic  

I have factory reset my Sonos devices & can't seem to get them to connect to the new router, the app can see them but can't seem to connect to the wifi & it's driving me nuts, the system is about 6 years old & hasn't been used as a surround sound set up in some time but really want it going asap, any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi,I’ve got 2 Sonos One SL’s that I’m currently using for a 2.0 setup with my TV.  I’m considering turning this into a 4.1 setup by adding an In-Wall Set for front speakers and moving the One SLs to the back as surrounds, and adding a Sub 3 is this possible? any gotchas I need to worry about? Also, does this produce a “phantom” center channel (I assume through some kind of Sonos wizardry)?  Is it decent or should I consider having a 3rd in wall speaker for the center channel?

My sonos play 3 light will not turn green following factory reset, It only blinks amber, it makes no sound upon trying to connect. 

Hi,I just notice my sub-mini is making an almost imperceptible humming / buzzing electric noise when connected to the electricity. It is only noticeable if I place my ear very close to the unit, almost touching it.Is it normal? Does your unit also make this noise?Second question, I also noticed the sub-mini does a small pop when starting some songs, not very loud. Is it normal? This happened since the last update (15.9).Thanks!

Tried hooking my Sonos Era 100’s to my PC, worked for about 30 minutes then just stopped outputting any audio. Its still connected and any inputs I make on the speakers are reflected on my PC (song skip/volume changes) but there is still no output. The device is set as default and I have it selected as my main audio output device.Tried turning off and on Bluetooth, running audio troubleshoot, restarting both devices and still no luck. Any ideas on how to rectify this issue?

I cant connect my two sonos move together, whenever i try too, it would only connect with ine and the other won't show until i switched it off or change it into Bluetooth mode before the second one can connect
